I’ve never been disappointed by a meal at Aperitivo. I recently tried the Chicken and Avacado Pita Wrap which was delicious and I absolutely love their Pesto Risotto. Also the carrot cake is to die for! The owner, Joe and his team are amazing and always provide exceptional service.
Waiter Abhilash was so friendly and provided excellent service. The food was delicious. I highly recommended for garlic fries. The plants decoration at the entrance was beautiful. The atmosphere was so positive.
Had a super incredible early dinner before Ironman Boulder. It was so fabulous. The crispy ravioli app was scrumptious. The pesto penne with chicken was seriously good. The stars of the evening were the risotto with mushrooms (many kinds of fungi) and a side of perfectly seared salmon, crispy on the outside, tender and juicy on the inside. The staff was attentive and accommodating.
Had a lovely snowy dinner here tonight. Everything was delicious. Staff was super friendly I had the lavender martini and it was absolutely perfect. The coconut shrimp was so crisp and delicious. My husband had the jambalaya pasta and I had the Strawberry spinach salad. I missed a dessert picture but we shared the brownie. Was was absolutely delicious. Warm. Fresh. Chocolaty. Highly recommend salted caramel Gelato on top.
Someone from the restaurant gifted us a $50 gift card with a celebratory card over a door-dash order! I had asked for a candle for a 4-year anniversary in the special instructions, if they even had one, and they more than delivered! Having recently moved to the area, it was such a nice gesture and I’m very grateful to have spent some time here tonight. It’s a relaxed, smaller bistro with a pretty sizeable patio section. Drinks were good and the menu is fairly priced. We tried the burrata, toasted ravioli, caesar salad, and coconut shrimp today. All were good. I am really touched by their community outreach and we will be back to try even more :)
I had a WONDERFUL experience at Aperitivo. I was visiting my cousin in Boulder and even she had never been here so we decided to try it out for lunch after I landed and I am so glad that we did. I had a delicious and comforting chicken noodle soup with a fresh and tasty turkey sandwich that came with a side of fruit. My cousin also enjoyed her white bean and kale soup and spinach and strawberry salad with grilled chicken. It was the perfect lunch; light yet filling and very very good. The staff was also very nice and happy to explain anything. I would definitely stop by if you have the chance!
What a cute little restaurant! I came in today on my birthday to have a nice little late birthday lunch. I tried the burrata small plate and the calamari small plate. I also had a maple syrup latte light on the syrup. Everything was absolutely spectacular. The calamari was nice and tender. But honestly the burrata stole the show, being incredibly fresh and tasty. A wonderful, wonderful meal on my birthday. I also met one of the owners, Joseph. He was incredibly pleasant and sweet. I will definitely be back.
Excellent cafe with a welcoming, warm and homely vibe. Coffee, food, drinks and cocktails are all available on offer. We ordered the tuna sandwich and an omelette, with an iced late. Food and drinks were beautifully presented and absolutely delicious. Indoor and outdoor seating options are available. Service from staff was prompt, professional and friendly. 10/10, would recommend. For small groups or for aline time. It's nice and quiet, though can get noisy during peak periods. Limited parking available on site, with extra curb parking in the area too (be sure to read the signs. Some sections of curb an unrestricted, others are).
Wonderful option for brunch or dinner in Gunbarrel. Quality food made with care at reasonable prices. Loved the spinach and strawberry salad with grilled mahi-mahi! Not a large space inside but curated well with beautiful plants and large outdoor patio seating area. Great service for lunch and I will definitely be back for dinner next time.
This is my favorite neighborhood restaurant that I’ve gone to probably 2-3 times a week for the past 3 or 4 years! Everything on the menu is delicious and there’s something for everyone, the chicken Parmesan sandwich is my favorite item I’ve ever tried there but I think it’s currently unavailable due to the crazy supply chain issues that are affecting every smaller business in America. Nonetheless, there are still many delicious menu items available, currently like all of their pasta dishes (Like the Pesto penne pasta) and lots of good appetizers (Like the crispy ravioli and the coconut shrimp) The desert is amazing as well with options like cookie and brownie sundaes.
Best restaurant in North Boulder, and Gunbarrel’s hidden gem. Best cocktails, best French fries, international flavor profiles, and an intimate/chill vibe. LGBT owned and operated with an impressive plant collection. What more could you ask for?!
I’ve been here many many times and I’ve had a great experience each time. There has not been one dish or drink I’ve tried that I didn’t end up liking. The staff here is very personable and friendly. The place is homey and unique.
The food was phenomenal. I actually ended up going multiple times within the same week because it was so good. My favorite dish was the creamy Gorgonzola and smoked salmon pasta, but I also tried out the other pasta dishes, truffle fries, and deserts all of which were excellent.
Always had good food and friendly service here. The menu is pretty large for the small place, so everyone will find something to fit their taste. If you’re worried about the current COVID 19 situation, they have some lovely outdoor sitting which was very pleasant, and online menu. The place is a bit hidden and nondescripts in the middle of multi family residential complex. Will keep on coming back.
We had Valentines dinner here and we were looking for a gourmet dinner. Calamari was good, not the best I’ve had but good. Salmon was pretty good too. The brownie and raspberry sherbet was amazing and the best part! Drinks were $15/ea which was a bit excessive. Nice evening and friendly service.
This place was fantastic. The food was delicious, the chef and all the staff were super friendly. Will definitely be going back. I hate I haven't known this place was there sooner.
I can say this is the best pasta I have ever had!! 100% recommended! “Creamy chipotle pasta” the service and the place are amazing. I will definitely go back! :)
I love this place. Service is amazing every time I come here. The food is consistently great. I had Mahi mahi and it was fresh and delicious. Today I have their braised beef and I can’t stop eating. Try it for yourself. Can’t wait to be back
This quaint cafe style restaurant offers delicious drinks, a full menu, and the most delectable pastries. The staff are always friendly and the vibes are always uplifting. With a gorgeous courtyard for outside dining and an Art Deco interior this is a perfect spot for a friends brunch or a nice date.
Went here for brunch and had one of the best breakfast sandwiches I've ever had. Great outdoor patio setting and friendly staff. Definitely plan on coming back
The food is delicious and the menu is eclectic! Eveyone in our party loved their meal. All the dishes were full of flavor and well presented! I felt like I should have paid more for what I got and I truly appreciate the affordability of a delicious meal around the Boulder area! This is now our go-to for Friday night dinner!
The food was made to perfection capturing each dishes unique qualities. The drinks were delicious too. I recommend trying the bacon old fashion and the honey ginger martini. We really enjoyed the chill homey atmosphere, dance music, and disco lights on the ceiling. I felt like I was having dinner at a friend's place. The staff was friendly too and our waiter was really good. He gave us just the right amount of attention. This was a great date night spot. A hidden gem
Food was awesome! The service was fast! Definitely going back! I had the Korean barbecue chicken sandwich 10 out of 10 delicious!
We dine at Aperitivo almost every weekend. It's our favorite go-to place to kick off the weekend for several reasons: a relaxing outdoor patio, great service, and delicious food! Highly recommend the Maple Latte - you can get it hot or cold. The appetizers and main dishes are carefully curated and delicious. It's one of the many delights at Aperitivo. Joe, Abhi, Chef Miguel and team are amazing. So grateful to have them as our favorite lunch and dinner place!
Perfect place for Christmas Eve dinner! Incredible hummus, salad and curry. Fabulous service. Love it.
Great food and friendly service. Nice to have so many vegetarian options.
What a pleasant surprise! My daughter suggested it and we thought we’d give it a try! Wow! I so appreciate finding places that are new to me and receiving great value! We really enjoyed the attentive service from our waiter, the cozy corner and the delicious meal. Will bring friends!
Owner Joseph and Chef Miguel prepared the best croissant sandwiches better than in Paris. Mine was with fresh smoked salmon, delicious tomatoes and cream cheese with a perfect side Caesar with gluten free crotons. My wife had a perfect croissant with bacon, egg and cheese with Parmesan fries on the side. Don’t miss this gem. Prices too low!! Service impeccable.
Very impressed with the hospitality of the staff. I had to find a spot for a zoom call that I had to get on ASAP. the staff welcomed me in and were not worried at all about me buying food first. The food was delicious and reminded me of cafes in Germany growing up. I highly recommend!
Had a lovely lunch here on the patio. Delicious salads!! Strawberry spinach salad with goat cheese was perfectly dressed. I added shrimp, cooked just right. Nice cocktails and good wine list. Also offers espresso drinks. My friend had the coconut shrimp sandwich and said it was really good too. Absolutely wonderful service.
Perfect little place for lunch! I got the Thai iced tea and the chicken & avocado pita wrap, both really good! The atmosphere is really nice and calming too
We went here for the first time and had a great experience. Everyone thought the appetizers, main plates, and desserts were delicious. The adults had cocktails from the extensive and interesting menu and really enjoyed them (and are picky on that front). The service was excellent. We sat outside and found it pleasant despite what at first felt like an unusual location. Overall a great experience and we'll come back for sure.
We ate out on the dog friendly patio, so can't speak to the atmosphere inside. They brought my dog water, which was great. Waiter was attentive and good. We all enjoyed our dishes.
Great place to eat. It's out of the way but a quick search for a nearby restaurant will show. I went for lunch and had a delicious tuna sandwich. The garlic Parmesan fries were amazing. The only con is the parking, very few spots. Prices were a little high, but not bad.
Food: food is always very fresh. We love the coconut coated shrimp, all the pastas are awesome, drinks /cocktails are also 5/5,Great presentation of the food as well. Staff: everyone is super friendly. If i had to find something missing - Would love to see more vegetarian and vegan options. But cant complain :)
What a wonderful restaurant off the beaten path! The service was incredible, and the food was absolutely delicious! We ordered A LOT of food, and literally everything was wonderful. We had 6 types of tapas as well as individual meals! Their Panang Curry was incredible. Everyone’s else’s meals were great, highly recommend this place!
The food is amazing. The coffee, even at night, is perfect. The team working Wednesday evening are kind and lovely. The music inviting. It's really a small gem after a really long day at work. Thank you for your good service. From a Colorado native.
Although the food and service were good, the dining experience was dampened by poor ventilation. Due to the open kitchen, the smell of cooking lingered on our clothes long after we left.
Food and service were okay. Friendly service. Truffle fries were the best thing we got. Restaurant is nicely decorated. Salmon was very good. Chicken cacciatore was a little eh. The Arnold Palmer was great. Presentation of the food is nice. Not much outdoor lighting once it gets dark out. $76 for dinner for 2 before tip.
Service is great, food was good but Small portions and a little pricey. But If that's not a concern then it is highly recommended. They also have great esspresso. Small restaurant so it does not have a ton of seating.
Aperitivos menu is excellent with healthy Mediterranean food. Their patio is nice and I especially love to go there when I can sit outside. The inside is pretty tiny but the service has always been good. They also have nice cocktails and mocktails. Good for friends, family, work luncheon.
Super friendly staff! The ultra modern feel is just not my style. The food was ok. Good size portions. I try to support small business as much as possible, so I'd certainly return than go to the big chains.
Only had a few Vegan offerings. This was recommended: So-called Vegan Chili (see photo) Which WAS just a cup of soupy-spicy-beans. Was not pleased and I've decided not to return. The price for this low-quality fare was more that I would have wanted to pay. I could have popped open a can and just heated something up myself! SERIOUSLY!!!
The food was delicious, all four pasta dishes ordered got high remarks at the table. The service however was awful, flagging down staff and still having to wait. And the flies...the flies were everywhere, inside. I think sitting outside would have been better. Oh....and parking...plan on walking.
It may be a seasonal issue, but any charm this restaurant may have in the summer is overshadowed by the preposterous swarms of flies inside. We spent the meal trying in vain to shoo them away from our table. It's a shame, because they have a solid kitchen, interesting cocktail list and beautiful assortment of plants. But the flies were unappetizing and unsanitary.
TL;DR not great for large groups. We had an odd experience at Aperitivo for Mother’s Day. I’d made a reservation for 12 people 6 weeks ago. We were driving into town and running 10 minutes late so we called to let them know (although several members of the group arrived on time). This seemed to have been a bad idea as it gave them an excuse to not have anything ready for us and told us we’d have to wait. The host wasn’t very accommodating or welcoming. Our waitress was lovely and handled our large group with grace. However, it took about an hour to get all of our food and drinks and half came out about 15 minutes after the other half. Overall the food was good but pricey. They did comp the Greek salads as they came without olives, and it took so long to get them. The chef’s special, a mushroom ravioli, was quite good. They also had vegan and gluten free options.
Went for tapas. Don’t go for tapas. They all tasted like they were frozen foods from King Soopers. Calamari was like rubber, crispy shrimp passable, fried ravioli meh, burrata passable, artichoke too oily. Oh well
Flavor of food was decent but small portions for the price. Menu is online only and indecipherable. Drinks and food are all mixed together on there and hard to tell which is which.
I had dinner here for valentine's day and it was overfilled with tables, which made the cute little restaurant less enjoyable from the start. I got there 30 min late but the waitress was very nice and did not seem annoyed, which was noted and appreciated. However, the food was absolutely average and overpriced. It was nothing that cannot be done at home and was lacking flavor intensity and was just nothing special. Granted, after mentioning our disappointment with one of the dishes, the waitress was so generous to take it off the bill. For a quick appetizer or drink, this place might be the right spot but for a dinner date it was simply unsatisfying.
I reserved a table for two for my birthday a couple weeks in advance. A few days before the date, I got a voice message from the manager, Miguel, saying they cancelled my reservation because someone reserved the whole restaurant. I guess I understand that -- more money is more money -- but he did nothing to foster goodwill. The best table if I'd rebook? A complimentary appetizer? Nothing. I'm new to Gunbarrel and want to patronize local restaurants, but I'm not feeling like I want to spend my money here. Very disappointing.
