Recensioni di Pho Bang Elmhurst Broadway
I think walking in, getting sat, order taken, and food and drink dropped took 2 and a half minutes total, everything was delicious.
I love their food. It is my once a month visit. Their food make me feel so good 👍
People who vote this place down are what's wrong with NYC. This place is as old school and genuine as it gets. The pho always hits a spot and the spring rolls are amazing. Waitstaff are an army of charming old dudes. People probably don't like it because it's not chichi, but their loss. A real gem.
This place is an old standby for me. Been here many many times. Food is great and very affordable. Service is lighting fast. You're barely done ordering before your food starts to arrive. Dont expect anything fancy.
Food was simply amazing and really tasted like authentic Vietnam. Don't go there for a long chitchat with the waiters, or for a fancy looking place, that's not the idea. Pay cash only, and enjoy amazing fresh food
I’ve been coming here the last 5 years even before I moved to Queens, NY and the food has never disappointed. Hands down, no-frills kind of spot! There isn’t much of a decor here, but the atmosphere here is just non-stop busy. Their pho is the go-to and truly the best pho I’ve ever had! I love that they offer it in different sizes depending on how hungry you are. Their spring rolls and summer rolls are well-made. I have also tried their rice vermicelli and rice dishes and they are a solid 4 stars. I have to give 4 stars because their pho is 5 stars in my book. Whether it’s busy here or moderate, the servers will give you your bill once you receive your order and some times if its too busy, they will find a way to rush you out for the next customers. Cash only spot!
Best pho around Elmhurst/ woodside/ Jackson heights area. They're the oldest and have the best broth and noodles. Very fast service.
My mom and I have been to this place and ordered no.1 was pho, beef tenderloin, bean sprouts with soup, and pork chop. The food was wonderful, and the service was awesome. The atmosphere was that there were lots of people eating in there, waiting taking orders, and many others.
The food is really good here. It reminds me a lot of the restaurants I grew up eating at in Houston. There isn’t a lot of good Viet food here in NY, but this place is solid.
This is a no frills, serious, pho lover's spot! It's more of a cafeteria/eatery than a restaurant so don't expect a vibey atmosphere or 5 star service. The servers expect your order pronto. The pho comes out within minutes. You eat, you pay, you go! Cash only. You get served free hot tea before your meal which is nice. Affordable, fresh, and delicious every time.
If you live in Elmhurst Queens and or nearby then you know of this legendary Pho joint. Many in the area has come and gone but this place has stood the test of time. Every bowl of Pho is accompanied by the most flavorful broth and served fresh, hot and fast. Don’t forget the fried spring rolls or summer rolls for that perfect pairing. Busy all hours and cash only. The area is super congested with pedestrians and traffic but worth the trip over all other Vietnamese restaurant.
Food still the way I remembered. Service still the same as 1990s. Prices no longer the $5-6 for a regular pho. But I came here for the memories of pho. No fancy service. You still pay in cash. They either speak in Cantonese or Vietnamese. I will never say anything bad about this place. It has been through a generation. My son is now in his twenties. And I came to eat here when I was in my twenties. I even brought my son here when he was a toddler. He grew up eating pho. Good memories.
The place is old and dingy. Service is old school Asian. But the pho is the best I've had and I've been to many pho places all over the country. From old school to modern high end places. Place is packed even on a weekday. Expect to be seated on a share table if you just a part of 1 or 2
The pho here is next level, rich broth that tastes like it’s been simmered forever, perfectly balanced and insanely comforting. You can tell right away this is the real deal. The noodles are cooked just right, the portions are generous, and the meat is tender and flavorful. Every bowl comes out hot, fragrant, and satisfying from the first sip to the last drop. Service is fast and efficient, and the vibe is casual and no-frills exactly what you want when the food speaks for itself. Whether it’s freezing outside or you’re just craving a solid, authentic bowl of pho, this place never misses.
Food is authentic, has good size portion and very flavorful. Their best seller Grilled pork chop over rice is very tender, has 2 big size portion, smoky and has a sweet asian taste. I also like their best seller beef noodle soup with round eye and brisket, huge portion, lots of meat, side dish of fresh vegetables, the soup will warm your soul. Ambience is ok. Servers dont speak much english, but will point in menu what is good. They will welcome you with Hot tea while waiting for your oder which is nice. Cash only restaurant. Overall it’s a very good experience and will definitely will be back.
Good Vitenamese food in Elmhurst with various option in MENU ,Served with fresh veggie and seasoning sauce (sriracha , hot sauce , hoisin)on the side for optional ,we ordered Vietnamese crispy spring rolls , Pho , Grill pork over rice , staff were so friendly and helpful ,and he can speak Thai as well , so good. my friend have order Vitenamese iced coffee , she said was so good as well. still have some food that I never try , I will back for sure.
You come here for the food and that's it. I am so happy they reopened because I used to come here as a child with my aunt and uncle who live in Jackson Heights. My favorite spring and summer rolls in the world and the only type of Pho i truly like. I drive from out for this place and every person I bring always is astonished by the richness in flavor. Cash only folks.
Eating the Vietnamese crispy spring rolls is like eating an entire meal in one bite; so rich, so complex, balanced filling. I got the combination rice noodles, beef soup with beef meat balls whereas my partner ate the combination rice noodles, beef soup with fresh eye of round, navel and tendon. We both left feeling satisfied, full, and refreshed. We also got iced espresso special filter condensed milk coffee to go, it made our afternoon! Pretty straight forward service, we like it.
I've been coming here since I was a kid, and it’s still my go-to spot for a decent bowl of pho. I always order the #30 pho, but I also occasionally get the pork chop over rice, the fried spring rolls, or summer rolls. The service is quick even when the place gets busy, and they clean up the tables right away. After you finish eating, you leave your tip and bring your bill up to the front to pay. If you're craving a comforting bowl of pho broth, this place will do.
Pretty good food here. The menu has a wide selection and from what I can tell everything looks pretty good. The pho I had was very good although you don’t get that much meet. We ordered this noodle and pork dish that you wrap in lettuce and that was much better than the pho. The waiters aren’t too nice and the restaurant is no frills but if you’re looking for a quick option it’s good. The prices are good but average for the neighborhood.
This is by far the best pho (with flank beef, tendon, beef ball) I’ve ever had. The tender rare thinly sliced beef was very premium tasting. The basil and bean sprout couldn’t be fresher. And of course the star of the show is the fantastic broth. The grilled pork chops and fried spring rolls were great too. The nearby Pho Bac which unfortunately closed had pho beef broth that was not as good (but still superb) but had tastier beef balls. The other nearby pho place Pho Best left a lot to be desired and should’ve been the one to close IMHO. Pho Bac is a must-eat and a must-return.
This is THE BEST place in the city to get Pho. I’ve been coming here ever since I was a kid (except during a period where the restaurant had closed due to a fire). The food here is incredibly delicious, the waitstaff are friendly and attentive, and the food comes out promptly after ordering. I came in around 5pm on a Sunday and thankfully there was no wait and we were seated (party of two at a table for four) immediately. I ordered my go-to’s which are Summer Rolls and a large bowl of Pho and, as per usual, they did not disappoint. The grilled pork chop on top of rice is also one of my favorites. I highly recommend this restaurant if you’re in the area and/or if you’re looking for some amazing authentic Vietnamese food at fair prices. FYI: This is as much of a no frills restaurant as it gets. You come in, you eat, and you go. Otherwise, visibly impatient employees will hover around you. Just don’t make eye contact to avoid any awkwardness and you’ll be fine until you’re ready to leave lol. Cash only (pay up at the cashier) and don’t forget to tip back at your table.
One of my favorite places for vietnamese food. Prices are fair. Service was quick. Atmosphere is a little dated, but we are here for the food and not that.
Quick service. Good pho. Great if you're looking for a quick bite.
Decent cheap vietnamese food. Cash only. Food comes out very fast especially for pho. Try to get to know the menu first before coming up because they really offer fast service. I tried pho tai gan, but I would recommend trying their grilled chicken over rice, as the table beside me radiates super fragrant smell from it. Lastly, leave the tip on the table.
I recommend number 22 or 23, very tasty and filling. Cashier might have a hard time understanding what you’re saying though.
haven’t been here after it reopened. Went here finally and ordered a pho with beef ribeye. the pho was good. Very hearty and a decent portion. I was craving some bahn mi too but this place doesn’t sell any. Bummer. Just FYI this is a cash only establishment so make sure you carry enough cash.
I am glad this location re-opened because it closed down during covid. Compared to its Flushing location, I feel this is almost like the "Pho Bang Express". It doesn't have banhmi sandwiches, and pho is smaller in portion. On top of that, the Vietnamese coffee does not come with the filter on top of the glass to let it drip. Instead the coffee is served in "to-go" plastic cups although the quality of the coffee is still good.
Still generous on the meat serving for a reasonably priced Beef Tendon Pho in beef broth. Some meat cuts are a bit on the drier and tougher than preferred. Otherwise, am glad they still retained their taste after a long absence of business where everyone thought the restaurant would never reopen. My other usual favorites are their Rice Vermicelli with pork hash or grilled pork.
Pho is amazing been going here for years. So nice to see an old school type restaurant, very simple very nice. We tipped a little a they asked for more tip which seemed a little rude.
Cold days call for something steaming hot, and this place nails it. The pho broth is fragrant and piping hot with tender beef, the fresh spring rolls with peanut sauce hit the spot, Tasty food and quick service overall. One small note for the front staff: once we’re seated, please give us a minute to look through the menu instead of hovering to take the order we might have ordered even more with a little time 🙂 Still, we’ll be back because the food is genuinely great.
the food, i’d give 1000/10 in a heartbeat, it was DELICIOUS. the beansprout, 10000/10 (i LOVE beansprout), they got rid of the end and it’s super fresh. but they only accept cash and there’s ppl fighting when i got there so yeah.. but if you want a great pho, definitely come here, but dont forget your cash and you cant sit for long bcs there’s always a line (ppl know where the good food is)
I absolutely love Vietnamese food—pho is my ultimate comfort food. I come here at least twice a month. The pork chops are perfectly cooked and marinated, and I just discovered something new—crab cakes! They totally made my day, and I enjoyed every bite. The only thing that keeps us a little apart is that they only accept cash.
Pho Bang has been around for decades (at least the one from Mott St). Just like their Chinatown location, this location has some of the best Pho noodle soup and spring rolls at a really good price. The Pho soup is rich, and the meat are prepared just right. The spring rolls are crispy and tasty especially with their dipping sauce. Their food portions are great and hearty, and everything about it speaks Vietnamese (including the staff no pun intended)! Overall, it’s worth a revisit!
There aren't many good Vietnamese restaurants in Elmhurst unfortunately. This place is pretty decent. I have to say the portion for broken rice is huge with 2 pieces of pork chops. For the egg roll, they don't use the typical Chinese egg roll wrapper, but this is not exactly the same as the one we would use in Vietnam either, but it is quite good. Cash only.
Super good pho, amazing portion with great low price and the taste was spot on. Sooooooo much beef. The watercress with garlic was really delicious, with garlic and semi sweet flavors. Grilled pork chop over rice was very flavorful. Also sweet and really special taste. The peanut sauce for the summer rolls were so good!
I have been curious about this place since they re-open few months ago but they should step up their game if they want to survive having others PHO places around. Cash only on this day is pretty much is a BIG no no and plus not having ATM inside make it difficult having a meal on this place. Pho is a Vietnamese soup dish consisting of broth, rice noodles, herbs, cilantro, bean sprouts, and meat, in this occasion my pho had beef and chicken. The broth had a good taste the noodle was fine, and the amount of noodle and the amount of meat was very generous but I did have the XL so I assume it was because of this. The staff is pretty fast and the PHO will be ready in a few minutes. Also the restaurant have a good parking lot for those that like to drive.
The food is incredible. I really love the grilled lemongrass chicken, the #29 pho, crispy spring rolls and summer rolls. I’m taking two stars off because the service is horrible. I come here knowing I won’t be treated well by staff but I really want a decent bowl of pho. It really sucks because they actually used to have good staff but now, I’m not sure what happened. Every single person who works there is rude and has regularly told me “no” for simple requests like wanting extra meat and willing to pay for it.
I grew up eating pho at this spot and I can’t say that it tastes like the best pho I’ve ever had but I can say that every time I come here, it feels like home. Think of this spot as a fast food pho spot. They expect you to know what you want, you’ll get your food in less than 5 minutes usually, eat and leave. You’re not here to sit and yap, this is New York, they gotta make money and pay their rent. 🍜 Tái Nam Gân: The broth feels super light, if anything it feels like a hangover soup that warms you right up without leaving your tongue confused about what it should be tasting. The portions are good - there’s a good balance of beef and noodles with some beef tripe sprinkled in adding the crunch that contrasts the soft noodles and slices of beef. I do wish the beef was a bit less cooked through because some pieces were tougher to chew. You can request your bean sprouts to be cooked first if that’s how you like it (my dad likes them well done) 🌼 Fried Spring Rolls: I would love to say they’re average but they were honestly a bit unsatisfying portion wise 😅 The crunch was definitely a highlight and the filling was also delicious. Wrap the lettuce around it and dip it in the sauce - super crunchy and yummy Service was quick and food came promptly.
Came here for Pho to try it out. I had high expectations since people compared it to the nearby Viet restaurants nearby. It’s also at the heart of Elmhurst Ave, a half block away from the train station. To start, they have lots of available seating and it’s usually never a wait for seats. Their service is exceptionally fast. Within 3 minutes of ordering, your food is right in front of you! Definitely one of the quickest. The broth is like any other, except it’s lacking a bit in flavor, IMO. The meat is pretty good, fresh! And the bowl of pho is packed with cilantro and green onions which is always a plus! Adds some flavor to every bite! The bean sprouts were also nice and fresh. What I love was that the bowl was packed with lots of noodles. A good change from restaurants nowadays. You definitely get your moneys worth! It was actually too much for me haha and I didn’t end up finishing it. When it’s time to pay the bill, they actually do it differently here. Normally in restaurants, the waiter brings you the bill and you pay and wait for your money back and then you tip. Here, this doesn’t happen- they make you go up to the front of the restaurant to the cashier and then go back to your seats to give the tip- eyeing you like a hawk the entire time to make sure you don’t leave without giving a tip, even if you were already planning to tip them well for the speedy food service. Overall, Average pho. Nothing too special about it. If you’re looking for a place to sit down, eat and leave when you’re in a rush or don’t want to wait- this is it. It does the job.
I recently visited Pho Bang and ordered the brisket pho, lemongrass beef, and spring roll. The food was fantastic—everything tasted fresh and flavorful. The pho had a rich, aromatic broth with tender slices of brisket, and the lemongrass beef was perfectly seasoned with just the right hint of citrusy spice. Both dishes were satisfying and well-prepared, showcasing the quality and care in their cooking. However, the dining experience felt a bit rushed. Even though the restaurant was nearly empty, with only four tables occupied, we noticed that as soon as we finished eating, the staff seemed eager for us to leave. This made the atmosphere feel less welcoming and relaxing than I would have hoped for. Overall, Pho Bang delivers on flavor and fresh ingredients, but the rushed vibe during an otherwise quiet time detracted from the experience. I’d still recommend it for the excellent food, but I hope they work on creating a more inviting and unhurried environment for their guests.
The Pho Bang in Manhattan is better. Pho🍜: I prefer my pho piping hot, but mine was room temperature so the meat cooked really slow. The soup wasn't as broth-y, but I'm glad it wasn't overly salty. For guys, I recommend to order a bigger portion if you're not eating side dishes. The normal bowl is small. Beef w/ Rice (Bo Luc Lac Banh Mi Hoac Com?) 🐄🍚: Not bad, but also not great. The sauce on the beef tasted like it was lacking something. Very few pieces. I'd stick to the pho or grilled chicken. The appetizer (I forgot the name) was the best of out the three. The chicken was a little dry and can use more lemongrass. Cucumber needs to be cut in slices so it's easier to eat. Lettuce was not as fresh as it should be. Three dishes came out to $40 plus tax before tips.. The service from the waitress was good.
i ordered a #29 with brisket, tendons, and tripe but it didn’t come with a single tendon. when i asked my server about it he said ‘the hot soup melted the tendon’ like how does that even make sense? i know what i always get at pho so that makes no sense to me. on top of that there was so much attitude from him. i will not be returning.
I love Vietnamese Pho and was disappointed with the Pho here, so little broth and too many noodles. The crispy egg rolls and summer rolls with peanut sauce were yummy. We had a corner table and weren't rushed which made for a pleasant dining experience. The complimentart jasmine tea was perfect with our meal and I appreciated receiving two cups of the comforting tea. Authentic Vietnamese food but the Pho was a bit disappointing.
Very expensive small pot they charge almost $14 careful diabetic careful . better eat nepali best thali food $14
The pho broth was mild and discolored as the bones/meat hadn't been blanched clean before being boiled for what is meant to be a long time to develop flavour. Seems like my phone didn't want to recall photos of the meal either.
Terrible pho, server was also rudely hassling other customers for tips, complimentary tea was nice though
Food was great, I thoroughly enjoyed it. Easily a 10/10, but there’s a problem with the service. First of all, I came alone so I was put on a table filled with others who also ate solo. I was okay with it, until some of them started to cough up phlegm, among some others who slurped really loudly on their food. At that moment I immediately thought probably this is the norm for this type of cash restaurant which usually doesn’t mind no tips. The service was hostile too btw. No hello no thank you. What set me off was the moment I put down my chopsticks after I finished eating, when one waiter came standing by my side, as if trying to chase me away. So, I immediately put on my coat and walked to the cashier to pay. When I almost walked out the door, the other waiter LITERALLY came chasing me and said “hello hello hello hello, TIP???” with his hands laid out. Omg. I still can’t believe it. I’m never going back until they fix this service.
Food is ok. Service is disgusting.Really! They said kitchen’s gonna close and forced us to order as soon as we sat. After we almost ate they’re still accepting people
I’ve been a customer for years and know how poor the service can be, and I’ve always tolerated it. Today was the worst experience I’ve had. It’s crazy how bad their attitude is and yet we’re still supposed to tip. Unbelievable.
This was my first time coming here because the prices were affordable and they had pho. The food arrived quickly, and it was decent. However, when it was time to pay at the front, a staff member was staring at us in an uncomfortable way. As we were leaving, he chased after us and insisted, "You need to give a tip." At the very least, they should have a tip jar, but honestly, none of them deserve a tip if they're going to be rude and rush us while we eat.
Horrible everything. I’ve eaten in the Flushing location for many years and it was a good place to eat authentic Vietnamese. I thought this would be the same but man was I wrong. The service was atrocious. The waiters kept on talking about me and my family blatantly. One waiter kept on snickering as he passed by and ignored us when we tried to get more water. The food was ungodly awful. The pho broth was so old and tasteless. Not to mention he got my order completely wrong. It seemed like as soon as we walked in, we were targeted for bad service. It’s not the typical gruff service you see in some Chinese restaurants or steakhouses. This was like, we dknt like you and your family so we’re going to give you a hard time. Don’t ever come here. The food sucks and the service is just absolutely horrendous.
So I came in with two of my girlfriends, as we ordered the waiter just walked away, so I though was waiting for us to order. then we started to order and then as we finished I asked the waiter if he can serve all of us water he just literally grapped the menus and left. So then I asked for water for all of us after few mins, he gave water to only me so I thought he heard me say only me so I asked for water again n then he started yelling at me saying “ask everything at once don’t make me go back and forth” I was like omg I did.. it was a terrible experience, I was actually so excited when opened up again.. SMH!! But the food was great so no problem with that..the pic below is the guy!! Food 5 star Customer service 0
Take a quick look at reviews and you'll notice a common theme: Good food but rude staff This has been a staple for the neighborhood however the service has to be amongst the worst. I've been coming here for years but yet they still treat their customers like trash. The most recent example was when I was told to wait outside while my friend arrives. The restaurant was practically empty. On top of that, when another customer entered, he got seated and served right away. They really need to clean up their act
The people who are serving are not friendly. Some are rude. The cashier is the rudest person I’ve ever met here in US. If you don’t want to lose your appetite and cool, NEVER ever ever come to this restaurant. I was so excited at first to come to this place, but after my rude encounter with the cashier and some staff, I will never ever come to this place. I will also tell my friends and people I know not to come. There’s another restaurant, about half block away , named Pho Best Vietnamese Cuisine. The foods are great and people are very nice and clean. I would surely recommend that .
The cashier's behavior was disappointing. First of all, he needs to improve his communication skills. It seemed like customer service was not a priority. There is definitely room for improvement. No wonder they got 3.7 google rating!!
After the last 3 years and post-fire, the food has gotten horrendously worse as well with the service. I heard them cursing in their native language yelling “du ma”, especially the Italian-looking employee with an ugly balding side part cursing at us. After spotting dirty utensils, we tasted a broth that tasted like water with a taste of beef, the noodles soggy and bland, and the entire thing had to be doused in sauce. All employees did not treat us right, he grabbed one of my friends when exiting. Do not go here if you expect good Vietnamese food.
I called to place an order for pickup on 7/03/2025 at approximately 1:48PM and wanted to confirm the prices with the male server on the phone HOWEVER, from the moment he answered the phone he didn’t sound at all enthusiastic to take my order or attend to me at all. Instead of processing my order he proceeded to tell me that he doesn’t have time to answer my questions and that I should look at the menu and call him back when I am ready and hung up on me…..I decided not to order from here due to that. Very disrespectful.
If I could choose not to give any 🌟, the service was very rude, I can say it is the rudest service attitude I have ever seen, very arrogant, I even wonder❓ why do you still ask for tips for such service? I will never go there again
Ive been a regular here for 3years, but was disgusted that one of the servers after using the bathroom he immediately, handpicked those beans sprout without washing his hands or using a food gloves, lose my appetite that day. Imagine you eating veggies coming from the person who’s not washing his hands after he pee. Maybe Imma switch to thai son in Roosevelt 74th. Im sorry but Im not coming back to this place anymore.
Its very unfortunate that a place thats family owned isn't versed in hospitality and more welcoming. I've been here countless times and have tolerated there rude behavior, poor customer service, and entitlement. Only reason that I or anyone would tolerate that in small doses is because of their fair priced portions and decent pho. Now there prices have increased which would be expected anywhere over time. But why ultimately pay more money for the same portions to receive horrible customer service. I've never seen more miserable people in one place or then the DMV. If they think they can continue on longer with there awful customer practice there foolish. I've seen them chase after someone leaving because they didn't leave a tip for horrible customer service.
No lie, we got seated for two minutes and got asked if we were ready to order by 2-3 different people a total of 5-6 times if we were ready to order. One of them even stood in front of us and waited. I told them we needed a few minutes and we just sat down and the waiter said/motioned that we need to hurry because there’s a lot of people…there were no lines at the line and a few empty tables. Not a fan of paying for a meal and being rushed to order/eat so we left.
This place should not get even 1 star, unprofessional service but asking for the service charge that they shouldn’t deserved it! Food average not stand out, spring roll seems to chewy not crispy. Also cashier is not polite and not service mind at all. I don’t know how they run business like this. Never go back again. Bye!!
The server with white hair was very pushy. I was sited in a sharing table, there were plenty of empty individual tables, I nicely asked to be sited in a one of them and the server said no. Worst customer service.
the worst restaurant i ever met! the service extremely bad! If you provide your restaurant only for 6 and 4 tables then you shud close your restaurant immediately! how can you expect people always come woth 4 and six? i came alone at the restaurant.. and i allowed only sharing table with stranger! is sucks when you forced to sit with stranger and eat! Sorry.. not being a racist! but no all people can sit with stranger and eat together as well! Shame on you!
Very bad service and rude attitude staffs I order my pho for takeout at first, then I changed my mind to dine in just the next minute because I just met my friend there, they just told it’s take out and already made, can’t change it. We tell them we’ll order another dish at the table, but they still said my order is already made and can’t change. We are ok with it and sit down, one server bring us the tea and we ask for water, but she just ignores us. Then my takeout is here!!! In 2 minutes my order is ready, all their food is pre-made, they just put it in the containers. Then we ask for a bowl so I can pour out my food, yet they refused because they said it’s takeout!!! ITS TAKEOUT OK, BUT IS IT TOO MUCH TO ASK FOR A BOWL FOR MY FOOD THAT ORDER HERE?!?! WE JUST LEFT THERE WITH MY TAKEOUT AND EAT SOMEWHERE ELSE.
The chubby waiter with the glasses has one of the nastiest attitude I’ve ever seen. I went for lunch alone and the restaurant was basically empty. I told him I wanted to sit in the chair by the mirror but he insist I sit next to a stranger in the round table. Normally I wouldn’t mind if the restaurant is busy but today just disappointed with the way I was treated. Went to pho best a block down and I def won’t be returning here.
We’ve been coming here as a family for dinner for years and we really like this place. However, recently we’ve noticed that they’ve been overcharging us not once but three times. At first we thought it was just an honest mistake. But now it’s been consistent enough that I feel like people should be aware of this! Since they are “cash only” the cashier has been up charging our meals. Tonight our dinner was over $30 more!!! Do your own math of your dinner price! Sadly we won’t be coming back here anymore.
I use to frequent this place bc queens doesn’t have a lot of great pho places unlike California. This place has OK decent pho. However the service is bad and the quality of the food is bad despite the taste being ok. Brisket is green. Maybe that’s the stamp on the cattle but when was the last time you had beef at a paid restaurant sit down and the meat was green??! The pork chop color is also off. Fresh pork chop should have nice charring outside and the meat it’s more white or very light brown. Not the pork here. It looks also like beef, dark brown. Sign that it’s not fresh. Also menu no 30 says pho has well done round eye. I ordered it off the menu. Guess what? Apparently menu is wrong and 30 doesn’t come with at round eye. How the heck would a customer know that!? When I complained about it, politely at first, the response was “oh 30 doesn’t have round eye” as if it was my fault. Even after pointing to the English menu, they continued to argue instead of just apologizing and fixing it. So now I will no longer be going to this establishment. If you have any self respect for clean fresh food and environment with normal professional service then I would suggest you find another Vietnamese restaurant. If however you’re fresh off the boat and you have a strong stomach for B food hygiene rating (which is apparently not easy to do - means dirty facilities) and clearly not so fresh ingredients and basic Vietnamese food hygiene like you’re eating at a typical food stall in Vietnam then come here. But oh, they’re gonna charge you American USD NYC prices for it lol
I'm going to be brutally honest - the pho here is actually pretty good. I judge pho based on the broth and it's really good. The only reason I give it 1 star is because the "Extra Large" bowl is literally a regular size bowl. I feel like everything these days is a grift and a scam. Greed is literally all-pervasive. To charge $16 for a regular size bowl of pho and call it "Extra Large" bowl is a lie.
Service was very bad. Food was not that good either. This was my first and last time at this restaurant. I will definitely not recommend this restaurant to my family and friends. I would rather spend my money at Pho Best lll that is right near by. Their food is much better and service is good as well.
First off, food is great. Doesn’t miss. Pricing isn’t bad either. Most of them don’t speak great English so order carefully. They ended up adding a random fee to mine and they couldn’t really explain what it was. Ended up spending $18 per person for pho. A bit high in the area imo.
Was craving pho and always noticed this place and decided to go here instead of pho best. Hearing how authentic this place was I was excited to try. That being said, we were greeted with such a rush in that as soon as we sat down we were expected to order. After saying we needed a minute, a waiter (different each time) would come around and keep pestering that we order. Once our order was taken, the service was always impolite and seemed as if no one wanted to work there. We thought that this establishment probably doesn’t take tip which is why the service was very unpleasant. Unsurprisingly we were chased to the door demanding a tip for a specific amount from the waiter. No matter how polite we were, every single staff in here was hostile. The food was good but not good enough to deal with such unpleasant attitude. The service really took away from the experience.
Walking in with a half empty space. The waiter wants to seating me in a big table to sharing space with someone i don’t know. I kindly ask if i can have a seat on the small table that fit for one and he refused. Never come back here again.
⭐ 1 Star (Only because zero isn’t an option) Absolutely horrendous customer service. We went in as a couple and politely ordered just one dish because only one of us found something acceptable on the menu. Instead of understanding or accommodating, the staff flat-out denied us service. Yes, they refused to serve us simply because we weren’t ordering more food. Apparently, at this place, it’s not about hospitality or treating customers with respect—it’s about forcing you to spend more money, even if it means making someone eat something they don’t want. Ridiculous. The server was rude, dismissive, and made us feel unwelcome from the moment we explained our situation. There was no effort to be understanding or flexible—just a cold, robotic “we can’t serve you if you’re sharing one dish.” What kind of restaurant punishes people for not overeating? We left embarrassed, hungry, and stunned by how poorly we were treated. I’ve dined in many places around the world and never experienced anything so needlessly petty and inhospitable. Avoid this place at all costs unless you’re okay with being treated like a walking wallet instead of a guest.
