so delicious and wonderful service!
I had the Mole Tamal and it was delicious 😋
Delicious tacos and margs!!
Great food and service!
Great food and drinks. Helpful staff.
Amazing service and delicious food and drinks!
great food, cute little spot, much quieter than the one across the street
Been here a couple times now and everything I’ve had—torta, tostada, tacos—all done really well and at a great price.
Stop into this place! The tacos were incredible, the tamale was the best I've had in a while, and the margs were good.
The steak tacos are amazing! The staff is friendly and very helpful. If you get a chance check out the bathroom!
Excellent food (very tasty and fresh), service and atmosphere! I will be back
Great fish torta! Get with a side of salsa verde
We love this place! Excellent tacos and churros!
Best tacos in the neighborhood, super juicy! Drinks are great too
LOVED HOW DELICIOUS THE FOOD WAS AND STAFF SUPER FRIENDLY!!! MUST TRY IF YOUR IN THE AREA!!!!!!!
I consider them to be one of the best places for tacos in the Bronx.
Great shrimp tacos, everyone that works there is super nice.
Salsa sort of tasted like old canned tomato but the tortilla chips were fire
Food was great. Enjoyed the mushroom taco’s a lot.
Love this place!! Great drinks but even better food.
Wonderful place! Great food!
Hidden gem, the tacos are the best I've had outside Mexico.
Great mushroom tacos, very nice service, and great decor
Delicious food, kind and attentive staff, quick service and relatively substantial outdoor seating both in open air and within an outdoor booth structure. Probably as many outdoor seats as indoor for this smaller sized storefront. Can order for takeout and walk over to prospect park for an outdoor lunch!
I just had a delicious lunch at this restaurant during the Covid-19 pandemic. This was actually the first time I've eaten inside a restaurant! I arrived after the lunch crowd, so the place was empty and there was a little table with plexiglass partitions between it and other tables. It was very cozy! If you're not ready for indoor dining yet, they had outdoor space with heat lamps! But best of all, the food was amazing. My friend and I shared the guacamole, chicken + chorizo + steak tacos and they all hit the spot. We ate them so quickly I didn't manage to take any pics!
This place has been in the neighborhood for a long time. They own their great reputation in the community. I had some delicious tacos. Please add Mezcal margarita to your menu!👍💕☺️
Long time fan! The food is always excellent and the service is always great. Love the nopal quesadilla and the tres leches cake.
pleasant service family owned & I love the tacos often I buy fish/shrimp but it's the drinks that keep me coming back. frozen spike raspberry lemonade is my fav then there's the tequila soaked fruit and drink dont ask me the name I just know it had me riiight where I needed to be😋😋
A neighborhood favorite! My go to is their steak torta, delicious and generously sized. The staff is friendly too. Can’t go wrong!
Best place I’ve been to. Them tacos hit!! And the tortas. So gooood. Will be back againnn
Love this place. So friendly and great tacos and margs!
OMG IT WAS SO GOOD! ♥️ I stopped in here randomly leaving a job site. I ordered the chicken empanadas. I wish this place was closer to where I live. Because I'd be in here all the time. 😭😹
Good comfort food and the tacos are really good. We tried the tostadas and it’s equally good. Definitely a go to place for Mexican food. The food came out fast and it’s affordable.
Super yummy, authentic Mexican food. Love the tostadas and al pastor tacos
I went after smokin, best meal I had ever had 😋
I come here regularly, always delicious and the nicest people working there.
PHAT al pastor torta - spicy and delish for lotta food for $12 YUM
Great place for a quick bite or a relaxed meal. Love the Patron tamal, a oaxacan-style tamal with rich sauce and smoked flavor from banana leaves
I’ve been ordering takeout from here and bringing it to the park for years. Ate there tonight, had a great time. Got the tinga tacos and tinga tostado, sooo good. Our waiter Alex is so great and has made us feel so at home. Also recommend the pitcher of margaritas 😋 it’s a hit. Vegetarian and gluten free friends love this place as well.
Amazing tacos (fish and al pastor), fresh taste! also the servers are super nice, price is certainly reasonable!❤️
Everything was great. Tried their shrimp tacos and strawberry margarita. Trust me when I say this, it’s the best tacos I’ve ever had 😍 and the margarita was on point. Not to forget, we got an amazing service from Alex. Great experience indeed 🙏 We will be back to try more.
PROS: These are the best tacos for miles. Their fish taco is incredible. I never order fish tacos anywhere else because it will never compare to these. I've been told by friends that the el pastor and steak tacos are top tier too. Their breakfast options are delicious, if a bit pricey. The salsa verde is soooooo good, I wish I could buy a bottle. This is a great spot to grab tacos to go if you want to hang out in the park. CONS: Understaffed on busy days (weekends especially), so expect a wait time. If you have trouble flagging someone down, they're very understanding if you go up to the counter to ask for help. The nopal taco is just okay. Not the cheapest tacos (2 tacos plus tip comes out to about $20) but the quality is worth the price in my opinion.
The place is clean nicely decorated with friendly staff. There were patrons dining in but since it was a fairly nice winter day I chose to try a Taco to go. There were a few types of tasty self serve sauces and toppings. The taco was delicious corn based and The filling was moist and perfect. I chose the cactus. The green sauce was delicious. My only peeve was that I should have ordered 2. I spoke to two of the patrons and it was also their first time. They raved about their choice if tacos and like me added this establishment to my list of go to places. It's close to the park, zoo and gardens so it's a perfect place to dine before or after a walk.
My boyfriend & I came from eastern Long Island to visit the light show at Brooklyn Botanic garden. Someone at work suggested this place so we stopped in for food. Great food & good variety for my meat eater boyfriend and my vegetarian self. Wish I lived closer!
I had a little trouble ordering by phone, so I ordered online to pick up. It was really easy. They have a great mint lemonade (though no ice in it unless you ask). I got the nopal tacos. I had a little trouble getting a clear answer if they’re vegan and the exact ingredients. I also got the chips and guacamole. The chips are AMAZING! I don’t often eat chips, but these I’ll eat again. The guacamole is also really good, but very spicy. I’m not sure if they offer a less spicy one, but I’ll ask next time because I couldn’t share this one with the child I had with me. I’ll definitely go there again and try other things. I love when I find cactus on the menu!
So hype to have this spot in the neighborhood. Authentic & such a great selection tacos for reasonable prices. My fav, new go-to taco spot! The people are friendly and accommodating and the food is damn good! Highly recommended!!!! Show this place some love.
What’s amazing food without hospitality? I stopped in and as I was order a to go meal it started pouring! Not only did the owner offer me a shot of free homemade DELICIOUS jalapeño tequila, he gave me a spare umbrella from the back room. In these times, it’s places that care for the community and the folks around them that truly stand out. On top of all that the food was phenomenal!!!! I hope this spot stays in PLG for a long time to come. Thanks!!!
Just had dinner outside here and it was amazing! Prices are super good, especially with happy hour 3-7 pm. Drinks and food are delicious! I would highly recommend them! 😋
I stopped in because I spotted a $12 special for a half of a rotisserie chicken smothered in mole sauce that came with rice and a soda. Excellent deal, and meal. Will definitely be coming back. Atmosphere was cozy and staff were very welcoming.
I stopped by a random restaurant doing a random review. This place was clean, and beautiful. The food is great and fresh. I ordered 2 chicken postseason. They even had fresh avocado 🥑 for guacamole. I looked it.
I’ve been coming here for years, it is one of my favorite places to eat and drink near Prospect Park. Hector is the best server, he always makes us feel at home. Excellent service, kind, and respectful. Special shout out to Alex as well! These are some of the nicest people, always feel welcomed! We are regulars because of the great service and food.
Just great! Delicious, freshly made food. Attentive staff were pleasant and efficient. Great stop on the way to Prospect Park! Glad we found it.
Been coming to happy hour here weekly for the last year and have always had a great experience! The margaritas are always on point and I love the birria tacos. The staff, especially Hector and Alex, are always warm and friendly and make us feel so welcome!
Everything 10/10. Even the bathroom was beautiful. Service and food, worth it. Definitely be back. Tortas wow delicious. Perfect amount of seasoning, the flavor of the steak torta was incredible.
This place is great! The tacos are delicious and made to order. We also got the margaritas that were great as well! Definitely come to this spot: we’ve tried the place across the street and this one is way better!
Everything we ordered tasted delicious. The tamale in banana leaf is delicious. I also highly recommend the cactus tacos. The service is friendly and the price is right. They also serve margaritas.
Sat in for lunch and really enjoy the tacos and tortas. Food was fresh and authentic!
We ordered guaraches and table para 2, they were amazing!. Great service too.

Pretty good food and a reasonable price ! The server seemed to sort of forget about us sometimes and the card machine was broken. Held our card from when we walked in to when we left, which kinda sucked because I wanted to pay cash anyways 😭 I would've just preferred to prepay for our food rather than mess around with "opening a tab."
We had the guac and chips, the mushroom quesadilla, and the chicken tacos. Everything was really tasty and filling. Service was quick and nice. Beautiful decorations.
I see this team start early and finish late. They work nonstop and both the food and the service are great. Everything is fresh, they have never made a mistake in my order (in years!) and the place is spotless! Thank you guys for taking care of all my cravings while I was pregnant and beyond! In a time when we, Latinos, are considered “less” you show how it’s done!

Very clean and welcoming place.
Fish and Pastor tacos are terrific. Chips are traditional and delicious
The tortas are great. The quesadillas are terrible (the cheese and tortilla are tasteless and bland).
Good hang out spot. Their tamales are best thing on the menu imo.
The torta milanese was quite tasty, and the service was friendly and prompt.
I like this place very much - i order tacos to take out at least once a week. It's a simple restaurant with good food and friendly staff. Indoor and outdoor dining are available.
I went a few times, the fish tacos are still my preferred! Tried the chicken tacos, shrimp tacos, quesadillas, tortas, etc. Food is pretty good, flavors are just right although, although the portions are a bit small.
In the rotation of my local taco spots. I come here to sit outside and people watch while sipping on something frozen. Prospect Park is right next door so it's a great place to pop out if you're there.
Small place inside with more seats outside. Pretty good Mexican Food but mostly specializes in Tacos. Ordered a steak quesadilla that was tasty, and a chicken taco. I wanted a burritos and the owner pointed to another Mexican spot across the street, wasn't rude about it neither. Businesses helping other Businesses.
The food is fresh, the service is friendly and the restaruant is comfortable. The pic is my cute after dinner drink. I had the special tacos, chips and salsa!
Decent food and good service. The guac could have been a little spicy I fell but not complaining as it was tasty. The cactus tacos were amazing.

Mixed bag. Mainly writing this to inform whoever it may concern that they're bizarrely stingy with rice. I ordered the special, which arguably was a super deal, but the rice portion was like barely half a portion. They asked me kindly to move soon after I had started my meal bc a large family had arrived and I put up no complaint. They could have comped me a extra side of rice but they charged me. I guess i could have pleaded my case but i support local. Blah blah blah single people have no rights ok done. Food was good though. Huge portion of chicken smothered in lovely mole
Food was great, but we were told we couldn't get the big tacos with steak only special tacos which is fish and shrimp. That was odd.. the regular tacos are kind of small. But still delicious. The man we ordered from seemed standoff-ish and seemed to have a. It of an attitude. That took away from our experience. First spot we tried in Brooklyn. I'd go back and give them another shot. the food itself is a 5. But because of the issues I stated I cannot give it a 5.

Ordered tacos, not good quality of ingredients , good service
Food was good. Drinks could have been stronger
Food is good. Picaditas was delicious and I enjoyed the tres leches. However, I ordered the Guaraches and opted to pay more for shrimp, I was initially pleased with how many shrimp were added until I realized they were cut in half. That was disappointing considering how much more it costs.
Offspring of the two mexican restaurants across the street. Grab and go situation. Cute and bright decor. Menu is very straightforward. We came strictly for tacos. The hostess informed us the best was the steak tacos followed by the Al pastor (roasted pork). She was absolutely right. The steak was soft and well seasoned. I would give 3rd place to the Chorizo and lastly the Tinga (shredded chicken). It could use some more flavor and moisture. We also ordered a margarita which they went to go fetch from El patron across the street. For a quick lunch while you walk in the park, this place does the trick. Would totally revisit to try other items on the menu.
Not very good. I honestly didn’t even finish the food and do not plan on coming back.
Dry, bland, and overpriced. In what world does it make sense to sit around and wait 30 minutes for a burrito on a paper plate? Maybe I'm just spoiled from having lived in California.
The food is really just ok. The music is too loud and the staff are kind of rude. Tacos El Dorado on Flatbush between Clarkson and Lenox is more authentic and cheaper.
Food is good, drinks are way too sweet, hardly any tequila in the margaritas...worst thing is they only give you plastic forks and knifes, and the cheapest ones.. had to work hard to cut the food, good for takeaway but no so much for sitting in. Needs better attention to get more star's
Really cute place, good drinks, only teensy thing is that I deffo got food poisoning from the tacos. They did taste amazing tho. The tres leches cake tho is not good, tastes like a store bought Entemanns cake they soaked in unsweetened milk, frosted with whipped cream, and garnished with Hershey's chocolate syrup
The food came cold! The presentation was extremely sloppy; I ordered a torta with the top bread cut in half so it kept falling apart!! The pork and shrimp were under seasoned. The fish and steak however were seasoned well and cooked to perfection.
So we picked this spot b/c of the desserts and we should’ve left after the first drink was sent back. The spiked lemonade tasted like it was Minute Maid w/ vodka, tasted very artificial. The tacos and the shrimp quesadilla were good. The Mexican salad was so bad! The chicken was unseasoned and tasted so weird. Needless to say we didn’t stay for dessert.

2 hours for a delivery Soggy shrimp taco from the food sitting so long
Food needed more seasoning. Tortillas tasted and looked like fried in old oil. Service was terrible, unattended for a long time before getting order taken and tab.
This place is vile. Ordered a nopales torta that tasted like it was mixed with actual human stomach acid. Like that taste you get in your mouth after throwing up but in sandwich form. Bon appetite!
The guy working tonight messed up my order. I had to go in twice to pick up my full order since he shorted me the first time. He didn't apologize or offer me a discount. Won't be going back.
Presentation of the food was messy and it lacked flavor. I ordered 2 chicken tacos and 1 steak taco as well as a chicken quesadilla. I replaced the steak taco for a chicken one due to how it looked. Not pleased.
Terrible service. The server with glasses is racist, rude and homophobic. Saw him being extremely impolite towards an interracial gay couple trying to order food. They were nice enough to politely leave. This place should be shut down.
I would HIGHLY recommend that no one come here. When my family and I walked in we were basically the only ones in there besides the staff. After we put in our order then others started to come in. Everyone BESIDES MY 9 YR OLD NIECE received their food( which was some of the most unflavored Mexican food I EVER had. Even the two sauces on top and cheese inside my quesadilla didn’t really taste like anything.) It was only 6 of us including my niece and we actually only ordered 5 entrees and me and my niece ordered the same thing. We told them the food was missing, the server came up to us to say that the food was coming, then they just ignored us. It got to a point where she started to cry and I had to run out and get her chips. Others were getting their food while all of this was happening so I have no idea why they chose to pick on a child.
Overcooked eggs and chilaquiles don't mix. Don't even make adding eggs an option if you're going to be that way. Chilaquiles don't have lettuce on them either. If someone wants lettuce they can ask for it. Take the chilaquiles off the menu instead of punishing patrons for ordering them. This messed up my Sunday morning.

Food and service were horrible. Enchiladas were stuffed with what tasted like gamey old chicken. They used chopped up dark meat inside instead of the usual shredded chicken breast. The sauce also did not taste fresh. It had a strange taste and totally lacked flavor. The rice was gross. Literally everything was terrible. We got steak tacos also. I asked if they were lean or had pieces of fat (I hate fat in my steak tacos). He said they didn’t have fat. Well… they had a considerable amount of fat and the tortilla was soaked in oil that was not fresh. We waited around ten minutes and my margarita never arrived (the place was not busy so they just forgot). When our food arrived, I just told him to forget about my margarita (although I knew he already had forgotten). Both my mother and I felt gross after eating and the bad quality made my excema flare up. Horrible experience.
