At first glance, from the outside, it looks like a fancy restaurant to eat expensive food so i was skeptical at first cus i wanted to grab something quick, but man i was wrong! The food is good is good, tandard talian - American cuisine Last time there I had a chicken parmigiana and a beer. Nothing fancy, but what sweets it apart from some other similar places I've been was there attention to customer service. They seem to care about each abs everyone who walks through the door. That isn't common at many neighbourhood pizza joints. And I appreciated it very much.

This pizza parlor is special. The Italian food is of the highest quality. The casual atmosphere is the only thing is deceiving. A fresh Grandma slice of pizza is King. I put them against anyone. The father and son are kind. Authentic Italian Heaven.

I took my three children to Casanova with my wife. The food was so authentically Italian I was so surprised. The service was great. Everyone was so friendly. It was a real family environment. I will come back for sure. I love this place.

We tried a little bit of everything and every single dish blew us away. The pizza had the perfect balance — light, crispy, and beautifully charred, with toppings that tasted incredibly fresh. The antipasto board was generous and packed with flavor, and the croquettes were golden, creamy, and addictive. Our pasta was cooked perfectly and tasted like true homemade Italian comfort — rich, flavorful, and clearly made with care. And the tiramisu… honestly one of the best I’ve ever had. On top of all that, the ambiance was warm and welcoming, and the service made us feel like family. You can tell this restaurant takes pride in every plate they serve. I am a NYer whose been going to top end family style italian restaurants since a young boy. The F&Js the Pines in the Bronx, Carmine's in Manhattan, and can't forget Don Peppe's in Howard Beach and that being said Casanovas isn't quite "wow" on the taste side as those or quite as fancy. But that being said the food was very good, dishes nice size, staff really inviting, and ambiance very comfortable. They have a very casual front area and a very nice done dining area in the back. What takes this place over the top is the pricing. I go to the others for a meal by my lonesome and I'm leaving $50 or more on the table. Maybe not quite that at the Pines but close. Here a get a really good meal, very good service, and leave with money to spare. Its my new go to several nights a week, and the others every few weeks. Thanks for a good meal guys!

Stopped by before a concert for some food, excellent mini personal pizza, and garlic knots. Price was incredible for the amount of food received, and service was also really great. Very polite staff, we had such a great experience that after the show we decided to stop by again, now every time we go to St Vitus we've decided this will be our “go to” to eat.

Amazing Italian restaurant on mc Guinness Blvd right near the Pulaski Bridge and 1 block from Manhattan Ave in greenpoint Brooklyn. Went there for dinner to celebrate my mother's birthday staff was very nice and fast bringing the hot food out. Great choices of Italian dishes which are priced well and tastes delicious. They have the front of the restaurant which has seats or take your food to go. Alot of people come in to have a slice of pizza, beer or get a quick meal. The back section is the restaurant area where there are plenty of tables and seating options for a cozy dinner.

Super sweet waiter. I would have given it a 3 based on food alone. It's hit or miss to be honest. However, the fried calamari hits right everytime.

Family of 4 had a delicious dinner. Chicken parmesan with linguini was perfect. Broiled shrimp with linguini was great. 6 large fresh shrimp. Kids had bowties with 2 huge delicious meatballs each. Fried calamari was lightly breaded and very tasty. Kids had mozzarella sticks that were pretty good as well. Our waiter was very personable, friendly, and patient. Great with the kids. This place has been in the neighborhood for decades. Definitely will be back.

I just stop by to have some slices of pizza and ice tea. It was not busy afternoon. I was into sicilian style years ago but since I have napoli style I feel I like it more. They do a good pizza and the restaurant is very easy and chilling out.

We had an event with them at Newtown Creek - Vinnie and Peter are great respectful and delivery is on time! Theirs great and the employee are very nice and respectable. pizza and 🥗 and salad dressing are so so good especially the sausages! Try the garlic knots good

🍝𝗧𝗛𝗘 𝗡𝗘𝗪 𝗖𝗔𝗦𝗔𝗡𝗢𝗩𝗔'𝗦 ... definitely a deliciously, people filled good time tonight at the "new" Casanova's! The best part was the whole place talking across 5 different tables, laughing, reminiscing. All neighborhood people - from midi-gahn to gavone. It was Wonderful! I also got to have my tripe - and YES Thomas Panepinto they make it with patayta's & peas! It was like butter and the flavor was like my father's. The gol-uh-mod actually had tentacles instead of all pre frozen rings. I gotta tell-ya, I'd match it against any neighborhood gol-uh-mod! The gravy was wonderfully light and sweet marinara like. The Broccoli rabe tender as the gol-uh-mod with delicious neighborhood flavor. The owner Tony's wife prepared everything from the eggplant copanata and this very surprising sweet, cold pomodoro like mixture and olive oil they brought out for the "warm-up" - to the very homemade version of their Tiramisu... We went basic grilled chicken parm and regular chicken cutlet parm with macaroni's just to test it out. Nice portions. No surprises and very enjoyable. Tony sat and was broken-English BS'ing with us and everyone else in the joint all night. The service was good. The prices were right. We had a great night of food and people. In general, I really liked the atmosphere and decor of this place. It was a little noisy at times because of the nearby road, but its a great place for a romantic dinner. I'm giving 4 stars because the food was OK, but not great. It was a little bit pricey compared to other restaurants in the area and the pizza we had was dull and lacking in flavor. There is, however, a wide range of wine options available for a decent price. The tiramisu was divine.

The menu is on the counter, and it's a bit inconvenient to read the list of ingredients without pictures. For some reason, the staff was not friendly to me, when my order was ready I could not understand where the payment terminal was and I was rudely told that I had to pay before leaving. It turned out that the terminal was far behind the counter and I had to give my phone to the staff so that they could bring it and scan it. The pizza is not bad, but for me, the price is too high for such a service

I order a large regular pizza pie. It's salty. Crust not crusty.

I ordered $62 of food, they charged me and then canceled the order saying they couldn’t fulfill my order. Refund in five days!

It was Hot and Humid inside no fan no airflow no air conditioning, only 1 napkin per person , 2 Butters for the bread one ice cube for the warm water they serve , the Food was Absolutely horrible, clams soggy over greasy calamari and the Veal Parmigiana was so thin and over cooked I think it was put in the micro wave oven it was absolutely disgusting, never again a waste of 103 dollars, do not eat at this Dump

Was working in the area and popped in to get a quick bite. Ordered a chicken Caesar salad. Not only did it take forever to make, when I got to my car and opened the bag up I saw that there was little to no Caesar dressing, very few croutons that tasted stale. And to top it all off, it cost me 15.. outrageous. Never going back again

Who ever answers the phone has a massive attitude/pendajo. I orderd a simple pizza with pepperoni. He got the wrong directions and number. If he was confused about the number he could look at who called. My pizza was cold. I don't blame the guy who delivered he showed me his directions that was a number off from my address. The guy I called originally was telling me he called multiple times and was at my apartment.That guy needs to know how to be professional. Order from somewhere else.

BEWARE: Inconsistent and unprofessional. We ordered pizza 3 times from here in the past few months. Two times took 1 hour and one time took 30 minutes (we live 5 blocks away). The first time the pizza was hot and was a good mixture of sauce to cheese. The second time the pizza was barely warm and the delivery guy didn't want to bring it to our apartment. I hung up on him after he said he wouldn't bring it up the stairs. He wanted to leave it outside our building. He reluctantly did so while cursing along the way. The third time the same thing happened. We specifically put in the instructions that we cannot go outside and that the pizza would have to be brought up. Casanova accepted the order and the delivery guy didn't want to bring it up. He reluctantly did so but texted me afterwards that he would have to leave it outside our building because it was "too much of a risk" to deliver it to our door. I told him that I wouldn't open our door. Every delivery person has left the food in front of our door with no issue. The pizza this time also had almost no sauce and tasted and looked entirely different from the previous times we ordered.: (we ordered just plain cheese pizza). We had to make a complaint to Slice. Never again.

Loved this place but it appears to be out of business. The review here is not for the food, but for the fact that I placed an order and wasted a night, trying to get food for my family and ended up having to scramble to find a last-minute dinner before my toddlers bedtime. Wish I would’ve seen the latest reviews stating that whatjust happened to me, had happened to them; placed a pick up order online, walked over and saw a sign saying the restaurant was closed. Just “closed” — No information about whether this is temporary or permanent. Although they took themselves off of GrubHub, they’re still on other food service websites, including Chow now which is where I placed my order. If you’re out of business, that’s too bad because I really liked your food but please just tell people thank you.

I purchased a chicken parm hero. It was inedible. The chicken cutlet was an eighth of an inch thick and was rock hard. It was tougher to eat than a piece of leather. I had to throw the sandwich in the garbage. How can they sell this?
