The pizza was incredible, with a perfect crust and delicious toppings. You can really taste the quality. The staff was extremely friendly and made us feel right at home. A fantastic spot all around, highly recommended! 😊
This place just opened and wanted to give it a try. Best pizza I’ve had in a while! Folded pizza approved. The crust was light, airy and crunchy. I got a pepperoni slice, made with cupped pepperoni, I was told by Armond who works there, he was so sweet and explained everything I asked about the place and pizza. I also got the Sicilian pizza, baked first, then they put mozzarella on and then add sauce. That was delicious! Not dense at all, light airy and crispy crusted bottom. They add fresh oil, sprinkle of fresh grated Parmesan cheese, and fresh basil on each slice. So good! The place is clean and inviting. Will be back!
Perfect small pizza shop for a quick drop in. the pizza is honestly one of the best in NYC and I’ve tried as many pizza spots as I possibly could have done. Mike is extremely nice and the quality of the fermented dough pizza is extraordinary. the slices are far more filling without feeling heavy! would absolutely recommend this spot if you haven’t tried already.
Fantastic tasty pizza. Dough sauce and cheese come together with the fresh grated parm and basil leaf to prove an unforgettable experience.

One of the best pizzas in the city! Dough is light, stretchy, and crisp, while the sauce is fresh and flavorful. The spicy vodka roni cup was incredibly light despite the thick crust. Staff are incredibly kind and helpful as well. Glad we stopped in for a weekday dinner!

Small slice shop, but don’t be fooled. The truffle and prosciutto slice is not to be slept on. One of the best crusts/doughs I’ve had. It was airy and crispy at the same time and left me craving more (I went back the next day for seconds). Also met the owner (I think) named Mike. He really cares about his product and clearly loves what he does and has a passion for it. Needless to say, pizza shops are a dime a dozen in NYC but this one definitely stands out as a must try IMO.

A very light and airy dough with this pizza. The Sicilian was crispy with every bite and wasn't heavy like typical slices. The plain slice had some falling apart with the thin base, but it wasn't a big issue. Probably some of the freshest basil was used, literally off the plant. Notably the sauce was tangy for both slices, so not a sweet sauce at all. Overall, this is a great slice with excellent presentation, and affordable relative to other similar looking slices. There is a general lack of space inside with 3 standing tables.
So happy that I finally found a great pizza place so close to my house! The quality it’s amazing! Fresh ingredients and superb variety.
The NY slice was thin and crispy, nicely executed. The sauce taste was on the lighter side for me. The most amazing thing was that there's only one person handling everything, from baking to in-person and take out orders. Looking at the traffic it's definitely still under the radar.

Stopped by on a work trip last night. Super solid slice, friendly proprietor. I got the roni cup and it was light and crispy with a good undercarriage. Flavor of the sauce was the only thing missing a 5/5 (I had just come from SliceHaus, who's sauce was close to perfection).

I am a pizza junkie! I have had many pizzas! This pizza is nothing short of fantastic! Crust sublime, toppings, sumptuous and delicious! We had the burrata, and the pepperoni. Generous portions of burrata, and pepperoni on the slices. (do not be put off by the appearance of the pizza on display, it is only partially prepped) cheese, basil, olive oil etc. will be added. The 2nd time we went, we had the pleasure of speaking with Armand and the owner Michale. Michale is a “flour expert”, hired away from an Italian company by an American company to aid and improve pizza making in the USA. He explained the three day process to create and ferment their doe, which really separates Fermento from all the rest. Beyond the doe science, amazing pizza, and charming personalities, the prices are very reasonable in the this day and age. When you’re finished trying the pizza shops on the recent “top 10” list, do yourself a favor and give Fermento a try, it will shine! Best!

Excellent new spot (opened Nov end 2025) in West Village! There are many pizza spots around here (ie: joes pizza, johns of bleekers, prince street, artichokes, made in New York, etc), but i am glad this one opened as it provides great flavor for great value!!! $3.75 reg slice $4.50 roni slice **Credit card vs cash payment is about 4% difference** Same owners as Ninos Beach in Port Washington! Great sourdough style pizza. Undercarriage is great along with its crust. Not too cheesy like neighborhood pizza (not that that its a bad thing either!). Bread to cheese ratio is great. VALUE AND FLAVOR ARE THERE! this is a must try and come back situation! :)
First visit and very impressed! A delicious perfectly baked and balanced slice of pizza. I had their classic New York Slice, and this might be just my new go to place for a quick bite. I live nearby and will definitely be back!
