Cosa dicono i clienti di Otis
Otis is a popular spot with a cozy atmosphere and friendly service. Standout dishes include the Burrata, Pork Shoulder Pasta, and Rainbow Carrots. Some find the mussels too strong and the wait times long, but overall, customers rave about the food quality and flavors.

Recensioni di Otis Brooklyn
I’ve been here over 5 times and each time is such a delight and pleasure. Their website bio says that “Otis is a neighborhood spot known for flavor packed dishes, intriguing cocktails and wine, friendly service and warm ambiance.” Truly, the words could not ring more true - encourage everyone to try this place out and revisit the bio after you’ve been. A neighborhood spot that I’ll love forever.
Otis in East Williamsburg is one of those rare neighborhood spots that nails both the food and the vibe. The space, a former 1914 tailor shop, feels warm and inviting without trying too hard, which makes it perfect for a relaxed dinner that still feels a little special. The menu leans New American with creative, seasonal dishes that are clearly built for sharing, like their burrata with sweet potato jam and homemade bread, roasted beets, and amazing mussels. Cocktails are genuinely thoughtful rather than just sweet or strong, with a bar program that features craft beers, an interesting wine list, and inventive drinks that match the food’s level of care. What makes Otis stand out is how consistently it delivers: the open kitchen, friendly service, and comfortably buzzy room all come together so you feel like you’ve stumbled onto a hidden gem just off the Morgan stop. It is the kind of place that works equally well for a date, catching up with friends, or just treating yourself to a seriously good meal in the neighborhood.
Otis is a go-to staple in the neighborhood that I bring all of my guests to! I haven’t yet had a dish I didn’t love. Most recently, I visited with someone who wasn’t so sure about mussels. Otis has one of the best mussel dishes I’ve ever had; the mussel-questioner left with a new outlook on how good they can be. Burrata is also a go-to favorite. The bread is made in-house and so delicious…. And the cocktails are fabulous too! The staff and service is the cherry on top. Big love to Otis!
As a level 8 Google local guide, I haven't reviewed much lately, knowing how hard it is to reach Level 9. But after my first bite of the lettuce salad at Otis, I turned to my boyfriend and said, 'I have to review this.' It was literally an explosion of flavor. We ordered cocktails, lettuce salad, burrata, and pan roasted steak, and each dish was absolutely outstanding. In a city like NYC, with one of the most competitive culinary scenes in the US, Otis still manages to stand out. The drinks and those 3 dishes truly made our night memorable, and I highly recommend it!
The food and atmosphere very good different and unique the place is off the beaten path but cool , waitress attractive bartender makes great drinks and very friendly all together nice experience and would recommend a chill place to have good eats. .not packed or long waits for food . Check it out .
Our server Brie was awesome! She was so sweet and attentive, and gave great recommendations based on our flavor preferences. I hope to see her when I come back. And then the food…omg 🤤 The burrata dish was so fresh and had so many complex flavors. The freshly baked grilled bread was perfect to sop everything up with, and they gave you a generous portion (I could’ve ordered more bread because it was that delicious but I had to pace myself). I had the pork shoulder pasta and my friend had the lamb shank, and they were both delicious and tender and cozy. Brie recommended the olive oil cake for dessert and it was phenomenal. The texture was light, the flavor was fresh, and all the extra little bits they added made every bite interesting (caramelized apples, pistachios, whipped cream, ice cream, and delicious crunchy bits of something I can’t remember). Overall this was an amazing dining experience and I can’t wait to return.
I really wanted to love this spot, and while a few things missed the mark for me, there were definitely some standout highlights. The Branzino was excellent—crispy skin with tender, perfectly cooked flesh. The pasta was clearly fresh and well-made, but I personally didn’t love the pairing with the pork shoulder. The flavor profile leaned a bit too citrusy and complex for my taste, with a lot going on at once. That said, the real star of the meal was the Burrata. Creamy, rich, and beautifully complemented by their house-made focaccia—it’s the one dish I’d absolutely return for. Overall, while some dishes felt a little overcomplicated, the quality of ingredients and technique in certain items really shined. I’d be open to trying more from the menu, especially if it’s anything like that Burrata.
Absolutely incredible meal from start to finish. The service was excellent. we started with the burrata which was unreal, then they brought each main we ordered our one by one for us to share like it was different courses and I absolutely loved it. The Pork Pasta is a must try, the Trout and the Lamb Chops were delicious too. We got the mixed Berry Crumble and the Dark Chocolate Brownie for dessert and both were awesome but the brownie was truly insane. They even brought out change to us because they heard my family singing happy birthday to me when the dessert came out even though we didn’t tell the restaurant or anything. Amazing service, amazing food, amazing atmosphere. Small menu but they do everything SO well. Can’t recommend this place enough!! I will definitely be back.
We came in on a Sunday during my birthday weekend and I will 100% be back. I haven't stopped thinking about the Buratta and Pork Shoulder Pasta since I left. I also tried a few of my husband's Mussels – can't remember the last time I had mussels that good. The Mezcal cocktail was great too, and they brought me a little ice cream with a candle + a round of aperitifs for my birthday 🥹🫶🏽 Wish I could give 6 stars for the service! This is now in my top 3 fav Bushwick restaurants.
The moment we sat at the bar, right in front of the open kitchen, I knew this place was special. Two chefs moved in perfect harmony, effortlessly orchestrating every dish that passed before us it was like watching a culinary ballet. We started with a burrata and sweet potato starter that was as beautiful as it was delicious. The burrata was creamy and luscious, but what truly stole the show was the bread so outrageously good I shamelessly ordered more. Then came the mussels with chorizo: a rich, saucy masterpiece with just enough heat to make each bite exciting. Dunking that incredible bread into the spicy, flavorful broth was pure joy. Next up, the seared scallops with uni risotto arrived, and they were perfect crispy edges, tender centers, and a risotto so creamy and balanced it felt like comfort and luxury in one bite. Finally, we finished with the gigli pasta with braised pork shoulder, and it was nothing short of spectacular. The flavors were deep, bold, and completely unforgettable a finale worthy of the whole evening. The service matched the food: warm, genuine, and attentive without ever feeling overbearing. The atmosphere struck that rare balance between vibrant and intimate, making every moment feel special. Few restaurants have ever thrilled me like this one. If you’re searching for a meal that will leave you grinning long after the last bite, this is the place.
Dimly lit, cozy, and romantic atmosphere. I came here on a Wednesday night for some cocktails and split the burrata appetizer. Good selection of a variety of cocktails. The burrata was very delicious and savory and perfect for two people to split. We had excellent service and friendly/attentive waitstaff. Would eat here again.
I enjoyed Otis so much that I think I need to come back and try out a few more of their options. The food is simple and typical if you ask me but something stands out about it - the freshness and the quality. My favorite thing was the carrots because I never really had a dish like that before. The pasta was good but a bit too rich for my taste. Looking forward to coming back again in the near future!
We had a big group to try out all the dishes they have on the menu. Overall it was great! My favorite is their breads: so soft and fresh. The grilled shrimp dish is also amazing. My least favorite is mussels because I have had elsewhere better. Most of the dishes are on the salty side, with a lot of sauces (especially for the salad) and it’s not really exactly my preference. Staff is attentive. Drinks are bomb! Will try to come back!
Came here on a double date and the vibes were super cool. The cocktails, and food were on point. I ordered the short rib special and I felt like someone gave me a giant hug. I’ll definitely be back if Ian ever in the neighborhood. The service was fast as well and easy to get out by taking the L train.
I stumbled upon this place while in a bind and looking for open Resy’s. Otis popped up as still available and man I was lucky it was. I had an amazing evening dining here, the bread and spreads are top notch and I especially loved the pasta dish that was so decadent and rich in flavor. I would go back in a heart beat!
Food and atmosphere were amazing! Gem lettice salad and scallop risotto were my favorite. P.S. I come here often and always wonder why this place isn’t listed under the Michelin Bib Gourmand. My guess is that the food takes quite a while to come out between each dish, which might be the reason. Other than that, I’m always satisfied with the meal.
The atmosphere was nice. It was a very cozy restaurant. We had the soup of the day it was a tomato bisque with croutons in it. It tasted very good!! I loved this! It mimicked the flavor of penne ala vodka. We all as a group ordered the pork shoulder pasta with the burrata on top. I usually dislike burrata but oh my goodness!! This was delightful!! What a beautiful flavor profile mixed with the pork shoulder. I was very shocked.
I love this restaurant. I lived in NY for a decade and every time I come back to visit I make this a must-visit destination. The menu has a some mainstay staples such as the burrata (which is unreal) but there are always a few items that change as well. Never ever has there been something that disappointed me. Everything is cooked and plated with care. I love sitting at the chefs counter so you can have a peek into the process. Such a great place. I’ve told my friends and now this is one of their favorites, too. I cannot recommend this place enough.
I was nearby and came in looking for a place to eat dinner. It was a good call. I ordered the braised pork pasta and a beer. The pork was tender and paired well with the gigli pasta. The sauce smelled good and tasted nice too. I asked for a beer recommendation, and they suggested one that fit my taste, which made the meal more comfortable. When I visited, I was the only one dining alone, but sitting at the bar still felt relaxed and easy.
This place was such a treat. My only regret is not coming back to try more dishes as I told myself I would! My friend and I enjoyed sitting by the kitchen and watching the skill and efficiency of the staff there. I’m writing this review a little bit late so can’t remember the names of the dishes I got but they were all excellent. The ingredients were all homey and the flavors were masterful. Our waiter was personable, a tad forgetful but it was a busy night so can’t blame him. I still have to come back for sure!
Sir! This is a canellini bean paté! It is most aromatic and flavorful but I challenge the concept that it is a chickpea! Excellent food, service and atmosphere - the aforementioned carrot dish is remarkable - but I will not concede a bean regarding the nature of hummus.
One of my favorite places in all of Brooklyn. From the decor to the music to the food and the general Ambience of this place. I can't help but keep coming back. The food just keeps getting better and better. So excited the bar is finally open for full service, can't wait to enjoy some wonderfully crafted cocktails this coming summer.
Outstanding comfort food. You have to try the pork shoulder pasta. Each bite was heavenly 🤩. I just had to update my review. I went again to Otis November 2021 and again WOW. This place has become even better. The drinks are super good and the food is astonishing good. This place is such a joy for the taste buds and if you are in Singapore, Germany or Peru make sure to make the trip to Otis because it's worth it.
Truly one of my all-time best dining experiences in New York. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. EVERY single dish brought a unique twist on classic dishes that did not disappoint. The inside decor is sleek and stylish. The cocktail I ordered was super refreshing and perfect for a summer Friday night out. This was a special one and I can’t wait to go back!
We were headed to our favorite spot in Williamsburg when my hubby threw in a curve ball. Let's try this place OTIS he says it looks good . . .uhmmm . . .he has never steered us wrong and has such a good compass for great places . . . so we change course with zero regrets. What an A-Mazing find. The ambience was grand and cosy with a huge well stocked bar with amazing cocktails and the coolest nicest staff you have ever met. We were seated at the chef's table - where you see all the majic happen - and what majic it is! Everything we ordered was scrumptious from the corn soup, the BURRATA with sweet potato puree and tomato jam and a pesto so gooooood, to the succulent mussels and tender lambchops. Did I mention they make their own bread which they toast on the grill and was the perfect vehicle to soak up everything from the creamy burrata to the mussel sauce. The food was so well balanced, flavorful and had the perfect char from the grill. While I generally like my food more assertive - everything we ate far exceeded every taste and texture expectation and I would not change a single thing. Last thing, the portions are really big and the food is very reasonably priced. . . and if you have room (or even if you don't) do yourself a favor and have the dessert anyway. The death by chocolate (brownie bites with chocolate gelato and salted caramel sauce and toasted almonds ohhh and fresh cherries . . . OMG) was the perfect ending to the perfect date night. Thank you to my perfect Hubby and OTIS for a memorable experience. Charlie, Chef Paul and Chef/ Owner Scott - we WILL be back!
Everything was excellent AND huge portions. I had the Mussels which were the best I’ve ever had. Broth had great spices and very thick. And had great service by all incl our server Christian. Absolutely going back.
The best restaurant in Bushwick for sure, and probably one of the best in NYC as well. The food is outstanding, burrata is a masterpiece which I could not resist even being lactose intolerant. Great cocktails, service, atmosphere. The price is super honest considering the quality of ingredients and size of portions. Will be coming back and back and back many many times. Thank you so much!
Otis is an exceptional New American restaurant offering refined dishes crafted with creativity and care. The menu features fresh, seasonal ingredients, and each plate is beautifully presented.
Creative and well made cocktails. We had Revenge of the Line (Mezcal, Yellow Chartreuse, Charred Pineapple, Lemon, Chili) and The Birds & the Beets (Dark and Light Jamaican Rum, Gentian Amaro, Beets, Ginger, Grapefruit). The food was flavorful and balanced. We had Grilled Iceberg (Carrot Adobo/ Pickled Vegetables/ Spiced Yoghurt) and Lamb Chops (Creamy Grits/ Ratatouille/ Cranberry Agrodolce). The place is casual. Background music is soft dance electronics. It has in door and out door dining with heaters. Service is good. We’ll definitely come back for more.
Otis is, without a doubt, the best new restaurant I’ve tried in the past year and arguably one of the Top 4 or 5 restaurants in which I’ve ever eaten. Everything was superlative. The burrata (with pesto, tomato jam, and sweet potato), beet salad (with whipped ricotta, candied hazlenuts), lamb chops, duck leg, homemade foccacia were each one of the best examples of those dishes that I’ve ever tried in the US or Europe. We’re heading back to Otis this weekend for a second visit. Otis marries the quality and refinement of a Michelin-starred restaurant with generous quantities ideal for sharing, a laid-back, family vibe, beyond fair pricing, an awesome industrial chic decor, and just really great juju. So glad that we found Scott, Paul, and this entire talented and caring team.
one of the more amazing meals I've had recently. Unique and bold flavors. Great ambience. Simple, but excellent execution and really good portions and value.
My husband and I chose Otis in Brooklyn to celebrate our anniversary. The ambiance is inviting— a perfect blend of modern and cozy. Abon welcomed us warmly and made us feel at home from the moment we walked in. Our server, Supreet, was attentive and caring throughout our meal. Both went above and beyond to make our night fun and special. We indulged in a variety of dishes including Housemade Bread & Spreads, Tomato Soup, Golden Beets, Braised Pork Shoulder, Rainbow Carrots, Lamb Meatballs, and the Banana-Dark Chocolate Cake for dessert. Each dish was delicious and beautifully presented, with the Tomato Soup standing out as my absolute favorite—it was so good that we ordered an extra portion to take home. As great as the food was, the service is what truly sets this restaurant apart. Otis is perfect for any occasion, from a relaxed date night to a dinner meeting. I highly recommend it!
Had a chance to try most of their menu. Only took a couple of photos but the food here is really really good. Probably one of the best meals I’ve had in a while. Gnocchi really good and sauce is delicious order extra bread for the sauce. Burrata, crispy chicken quarter and market fish also excellent. For dessert panna cotta and olive oil cake were super tasty. Definitely will come here again. Cheers
Im 100% sure that ribeye is the best cut of meat ive ever tasted in my life. 100/10. Service. Price. Food. Everything. Top notch. Burrata was amazing
Easily one my favorite restaurants in all of NYC. The food, drinks, vibes and open kitchen really set the stage for an incredible meal. If you can, either go with a group to try as much as you can off the menu or get a seat at the bar that overlooks the kitchen at work. It’s an incredible experience!
What a scrumptious brunch in a lovely backyard on a crisp and sunny autumn day! Otis has been on my list for a year or so and I am extremely happy that I finally checked it out. Although I was more interested in the dishes on the dinner menu, I had to say all the brunch dishes exceeded my expectation! The burrata was such a pleasant and artistic dish, sweet, savory, tart, creamy and also starchy. The profile is so complex and sophisticated to make every single bite enjoyable. The beef hash presented lots of Asian flavors, from the ingredients to the spice. I like that the beef was cooked with kabocha squash. The potato pancake at the bottom was crispy outside and leveled up with the tomato sauce. You would think the mushroom was the spotlight of the wild mushroom toast, but it would not be that splendid without the smashed and flavored avocado in between and the grated grana panado on top. I wish the warm weather can last a bit longer or indoor dining opened up so I can go back to have dinner. I heard the dinner menu is calling me back!
Ambiance is lovely. Service took a little while, but I didn't mind. The burrata here is among the best I've ever had. There was so many flavors that were spread perfectly. My entree was their Braised Pork Shoulder pasta and I loved it, the most unique pasta experience I've had. The olive oil cake was decent, not too sweet!
Been meaning to check this out for a while now and finally got to it, and now I’m kicking myself for not going earlier. Everyone’s right about the Mussels, they’re not to be missed. Burrata and Pork Shoulder Pasta were also a hit. Drinks are creative and tasty! This is definitely a restaurant where you’ll want to go back to try every item. Staff was very friendly, kitchen bar is a fun spot. Loved!
What a wonderful time here. Well our dinner is on a Tuesday night and most tables are pretty empty but the service is still 100%. Let's start with the ambiance. I love the decro with expose wall and just the right amount of lighting. We had a romantic dinner while our waiter only drop by a few time to make sure we have the water. Most people I saw are single diners at the bar and that is the best spot. They have a happy hour bar only special. With a few dollar off, you can get mussel and a drink. Menu is pretty decent but ends around 7pm. Our food is amazing. We had the bread spread due to overwhelmed recommendation on other yelp reviews along with another dish. I went with the lamb for entree and it exploded in my mouth. I think it's probably better or comparable with all the high end spots. Well this place should be rated even higher if possible. This is definitely a spot to impress.
Oh my god!! I love this place!! This is my favorite new american restaurant that I really wanna visit regularly basis. I have been here twice and I just loved everything. Food, drinks and desserts are delicious and, people working here are really friendly. These are my favorite so far: Vegetarian Spaetzle (with Oyster Mushrooms/ Spinach/ Crispy Shallots) - perfectly cooked spaetzle, flavorful sauce and I loved they added crispy shallots. Green vegetable gazpacho - maybe some people think it is a bit intense, but I loved strong vegetable flavor. Braised Pork Shoulder - Solid! You will not get disappointed. S’more Brownie - I thought I was full, but my stomach definitely made some extra space once I smell the browny. It was not too sweet, and combination of whipped cream was perfect. (Quick update: If they have freshly made brownie, I highly recommend to get it!)
one of the best meals I’ve had in a long time- my only regret is being too full to order dessert 😂 delicious, bright, beautiful looking, innovative food. sitting chefs table was v entertaining . amazing cocktails, the grilled iceberg, sweet potato curry, piri piri chicken, and pork shoulder pasta are all musts.
My favorite restaurant, no questions asked. You have to come here to understand why this is a 4.9 restaurant. Each dish is a piece of art. Burrata simply melts in your mouth and the accompanying sauces add to the heaven. Cocktails have a very complex but at the same time simple texture and two of my favorite ones are Surfboard and Bastille Bagel. The ambiance of the atmosphere is rare to come across and the service is excellent with all of the employees trying to make sure you get the best experience. I am definitely coming back to this place!
Seriously good food. Super cute outdoor vibes. The ground is all covered in gravel in the outdoor dining area which actually on the side of the restaurant. I believe they also have a sidewalk dining in addition to Indoor but I didn’t get to see any of those. Every single dish we had was absolutely superb, fresh ingredients and monumental preparation. The team is amazing, like so hospitable and chill. Love them for being so accommodating and knowledgeable. I love the lounge bar all the way in the back of the backyard, will be back!!!
Came here for my partner's birthday. We shared perfectly roasted chicken with spaghetti squash and excellent scalloped potatoes, a delicious pork shoulder ragù with gigli pasta, and mussels in a chorizo broth. She loved her drink as well. We had to wait almost 15 minutes for a table despite having a reservation and were given bar seating, so I wouldn't recommend this spot for a date.
Indoor and Outdoor seating available, I recommend putting in a reservation. We are lucky to always be able to snag a table for two without reservations. It’s our favorite date night go to in the neighborhood. Best Burrata, I’ve ever had, & can’t go wrong on the rotations of different main dishes and deserts: Always a win. Love this place
Located a block away from the L train the exterior decor reminds you you are in a part of Brooklyn that is still finding itself. The interior ambience of Otis let's you settle down while your food is prepared. The service is quick and the food items are hidden gems (the grilled iceberg lettuce is a MUST). From the appetizers to the entrees to the drinks to the desserts, Otis will have you reserving your next trip. Our compliments to the chef!
Where can you find American food informed by Indian traditional flavors? Right here in Brooklyn. Seven years strong, this place is a must for those in search of s great meal.
This was a truly outstanding meal. Burrata has never been a dish I loved, but would happily eat anyway when it hits the table. But this burrata was complex, special and tasty! The other standout for me was the pork shoulder pasta dish. Yum! And if you're hungry, get yourself that neverending pile of mussels. Cocktails are also very good. 1. Chicken Liver Pâté (Grilled Bread, Pickled Shallots) $10 2. Burrata (Pesto, Sweet Potato, Tomato Jam, Grilled Bread) $18 3. P.E.I Mussels (Chorizo-Piquillo Pepper Broth, Grilled Bread) $24 4. Crispy Chicken Thigh (Black Rice, Tahini Verde, Coconut Vinaigrette) $22 5. Market Fish (Kōji Soubise, Faux X.O.) $28 6. Purple Potato Gnocchi (Spiced Duck, Carrot-Tamarind Purée, Pomegranate) $21 7. Braised Pork Shoulder (Gigli Pasta, Tomato, Pesto, Miso, Ricotta) $22 8. Olive Oil Cake (Vanilla Ice Cream, Caramelized Apples, Pistachios) $12 9. The Birds & the Beets (Dark and Light Jamaican Rum, Gentian Amaro, Beets, Ginger, Absinthe) $16
This place offers a chill atmosphere with great light, including a skylight. I had the burrata and my friend had the chicken dish. The ingredients were fresh, the presentation was lovely, and the bread was wholesome! Our server was lovely, patient, and informative. I’ll definitely be back!
We had a pleasant meal at Otis, especially enjoying our spot at the counter where we could see the kitchen in action. The mezcal-based cocktail was better than expected, nicely balanced with yellow chartreuse. Bread options were solid, with the sourdough standing out alongside an eggplant dip and tasty mussels. The host's amaro selections paired well with espresso, a thoughtful touch after a big meal. While it's a bit pricey, service was great and worth trying if you like New American cuisine.
Ok, the burrata is actually really amazing. So is the beet salad and the mussels. The service, open kitchen, brick walls, intimate lighting, amazing but low volume playlist make up for the blackened bass and lamb shank being a little too salty and not as mind blowing as we imagined haha. But still, really amazing food.
We actually came to NYC almost 2 years ago exactly and had the pleasure of eating here. My wife and i both have craved this place for those 2 years and was an absolute must visit this time. We invited a couple friends of ours who were equally impressed. Service was exactly what we expected, top notch. Drinks were strong and tasty. Food was delectable and extremely well priced. Strongly suggest getting a reservation in advance but they do have seating at the bar top on a first come first serve basis. I will never visit NYC and not come to Otis!
Otis was a fantastic meal from start to finish. I came here for brunch with a large group, which allowed us to order almost everything on the menu, and not a single dish disappointed. I particularly enjoyed the Brunch Iceberg, which was a nice crunchy/healthy quasi-salad dish presented as an iceberg lettuce carved in half, and the braised pork shoulder, which was rich and creamy in an al dente gigli pasta which you don't see often. Honorable mention for the wild mushroom toast. This was a 10/10 for brunch and worth trekking out to East Williamsburg for.
I've had this place on my list for a while and my experience exceeded my expectations. We caught the tail end of brunch and sat at the counter. The space itself is beautiful - the lighting, the open kitchen, the decor, all so well though out. The service was great too, but most importantly the food shined. - mushroom toast (4.5/5) this was delicious and very well balanced. - burrata (4/5) hard to go wrong here - the bread was so fresh. The tomatoes aren't my favorite base but it was nonetheless very tasty. - the Bloody Mary (3.5/5) - the drink itself was very good, but it was pricy for what you get and it didn't even come with a salt rim and had minimal garnishes. I'd love to come back for dinner - great for a date night or dinner with friends.
Excellent food and restaurant. We had the burrata with pesto, sweet potato and tomato jam to start and both had the braised pork pasta as a main (and probably could’ve shared one pasta). Each dish was fantastic and had a great mix of flavors and were very generous in size. The restaurant has a great vibe and fun music and the service was fast. We had no reservation and were lucky to get seating at the bar on a Friday night. Will be back with friends and family!
I’ve been here multiple times throughout the years and the service has been consistently warm and professional—so chill and yet so on top of it. Food has also been consistently delicious and incredible—stellar ingredients, great flavors, and a good time. No complaints.
Pricey, but overall delicious meal! The braised pork shoulder ($24) is a must-try; the portion size was decent and made it worth the price. The lamb chops ($36) were also super flavorful. For drinks, we had the Flight Risk and Espresso Martini ($16 each), and they were tasty. We came at 5pm sharp and didn't have reservations. They said we could only sit at the bar even though almost every table was open both indoors and outdoors; we were happy to sit at the bar, but just a heads up for those who prefer tables (the tables must be reservation only).
Great date night spot, beautiful ambience. Not allowed to order food to eat while on Couch. Bread plate and drinks were amazing. Food is a little different than you're used to but great discussion piece and not bad at all. Waiters explain menu very well. Greeter wasn't the nicest on a non busy night.
4 stars because the chairs outdoor is terrible. With price of the food at $30 in average it’s a shame to have the ikea wooden chairs in which you cannot sit for long. Shame shame shame Great place with a very cool service! Cocktails are very interesting, the food is great and presentation is great not common for USA
You can’t go wrong with anything on the food menu! We ordered the Burrata (super creamy), Grilled lettuce (Great consistency, charring and sauce) and bread taster as starters (really good but no harm being more generous with the dips). For mains I had the slow cooked pork shoulder past and what a great plate packed with flavor! Highly recommend it as a main to share as the portion si very generous. The chicken my friends ordered was also pretty good but unremarkable Why 4 stars? For 2 reasons: 1) Had an espresso martini and didn’t like that it comes covered in cinnamon, do yourself a favor and ask to make the drink without, much better! 2) Saw a small rat run real fast in the outdoor dining space, it is NYC, but also nop!
This was my 2nd time at Otis and it won't be my last. The food was pretty good but heavily salted. I'm a little sensitive to salt, but my entire party, 4 people, agreed that everything was too salty, particularly the steak. The next time I go, I'll be sure to let them know that we're on a low sodium diet! Otherwise it was a lovely experience.
I’ve been wanting to come here for a long time because of how much I’ve heard about the food. The menu sounds great but the carrots were cold, everything including the steak was insanely salty. The pork shoulder pasta was good though. Otis just did not live up to my expectations
Burrata & Drinks 10/10. Other dishes…risky. Love the concept of a short menu, yet wish the items felt more satisfying. Lamb meatballs are too dense (closer to a density of a sausage- wish they were lighter & fluffier). Lamb Ribs were fine, but smothered in sauce, which was too sweet and reminded me of a cheap BBQ sauce. Use less sauce, let the smokiness of the ribs shine. Would return for burrata & drinks
Food was good and presentation of the food was nice. Compared to other restaurants in NYC this place has some improvements to make to stand out. First improvement would be with the waiter. She was not attentive and generally came off as in a bad mood. The hostest with the colorful pants was very friendly!!
The buffala dish was strange the creamy consistency of the cheese, it was really sweet even though I asked for no jam and also had something that was really salty. Worst of all and what prompted me to post a review to begin with was that the waiter didn’t this dish I couldn’t each off the bill.
Very cute space but did not feel welcome at all. Bartender and servers stared at me while I waited at host stand but no one approached me. Ended up seating myself at the bar where the Bartender (mind you I’m the only one at the bar) didn’t even say hello just put down water. It was incredibly awkward. I ordered a Aperol spritz and was given a half full wine glass. I felt so uncomfortable and left in less than 15 minutes. Will not be back :(
