Love the Breakfast from here and cheap.
One of my favorite place to have breakfast 🍳 Mori Soñado♥️🙏🏼
This is a real part of the neighborhoods history. The first place and time I tried morir soñando 🥰. Ice cold, you hate to know the cup is empty
The best Morir Soñandos around! I've been coming here since I was a kid.
Best damn Morir Soñando in the United States of America. Also really good quick-breakfast spot.
Their home fries and morir soñando is the bomb. I've been coming here since I was 6 and I still go here every chance I get 😍😍😍
It's nice to see this small diner around with all the gentrification plaqueing this once great neighborhood.
Oatmeal is a must have, that is if you dont make it i time for the $4 breakfast special ( 2 eggs homefries and toast)
I love everything so many years it like family they know what I like and what my daughters like since they were lil 😍😍😍😍😍😍😍
Always amazing, My Family has been coming here for over 27 Years .. Always Great!
Best and cheapest breakfast in the area
best breakfast spot in nyc hands down
Came here for the delicious Morir Sonando drink and got great breakfast.
When I'm around the area, I always love stopping by for their morir soñando.
This place has been here for years. Place place to pick up your morning breakfast!
Seriously underrated hole in the wall with the best breakfast in town.
I have been going there over 40 years great place
One of my favorite breakfast spots
Stillness one of the last places left in a neighborhood with so many changes.
Great place love having breakfast
Love the Morir Soñando here with carnation milk .
💕💕💕this small little place. Homemade food right in front of you 😊😊😊
The breakfast here is crazy good. The Morir Soñando was worth the walk. Sit at the counter and enjoy.
Best breakfast in all of new york been coming here with my dad and brothers for 36 years amazing

Dominican breakfast place make you feel like home, my favorite is steak with medium eggs and tostones ( fried slide plantain). They also have a different sandwiches, coffee, AVENA (oatmeal) Dominican style. Juices which they famous Morir soñando (orange juice, milk, sugar and vanilla extract. The staff there make you feel welcome, and are willing to accommadate you any way possible. Good for a quick stop
The food here is delicious my favorite breakfast place.
Delicious breakfast for cheap. I used to stop by this place a few times a week when I lived in the neighborhood. Breakfast special w/coffee… perfection.
Under new management !¡! It close a 8PM everyday. The food and Morir Soňando if off the HOOK . . . Love this place.
The best bacon eggs and homefries in bklyn... and their Morir Soñando is to die for... gets really busy in the morning but brunch is the best time to get there... the price is affordable
The food is great, place is always crowded with people. It is not wheelchair accessible but the staff will come out and take your order. They have an A rating from the health department.
Been coming to this place to eat since i was a young boy and they still make amazing food here. Come here if you want to enjoy a great breakfast or lunch
Visited this place for breakfast on my trip to Brooklyn and ordered the ham, egg and cheese sandwich. The place may not look like much from the outside but my sandwich was good.
Great breakfast not to expensive with a nice amount of food for the price. Got to taste there onion steak it's yummy.. Williamsburg good eats..
Been coming here since I was 7 years old Love the breakfast but most of all their morir soñando is the best for any time of the day.
I been going there for years. I love it so much. Home fries with cheese and you must try the drink Morir Soñando.
The food is amazing, I recommend this place if you are looking to brunch in the morning. There home fries are amazing. Don't think its fries fries.
Breakfast delicious I get mangu with tres golpes salami egg cheese also morir sonando the best ever juice.
When I visit my Brooklyn, New York, it's always a daily must stop. I need my bacon, egg and cheese sandwich on a roll with home fries...ending the visit with my daily morir sonando!🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟
This place is AMAZING!! A little hole in the wall, best breakfast and amazing coffee and OJ with milk that tastes like a creamsicle. Will definitely be going back. Amazing price + Anthony was great!
We visited New York and wandered in here to get the kids some breakfast. They couldn't have been nicer and we had a great breakfast. Home fries are to die for and the freshly squeezed juice was a nice surprise. This is place is the real deal.
It's a staple of the community. It's a old school restaurant. Please note my Spanish is not Bueno. I still got my food and a tasty drink. What's the name of the drink sorry I cannot pronounce it so I won't even disrespect it. It was Excellent. Now only one person makes it..
I knew this place was going to be good — I love hole in the wall joints. And boy, was I right. The food was on point, the price cannot be beat, and Anthony, my server, was delightful. 5/5 across the board and definitey will be returning!
Great family owned restaurant serving hearty food. Steak and onions with fries for $12, can’t beat that value! Thank you
I grew up a few blocks away from this place and it’s the only dinner I’ll go to in the A.M if I’m in the Area. You can’t go wrong with bacon and eggs with some of the best orange home fries you’ll ever have. And don’t forget to was is down with a ice cold morir soñando you’ll feel like your in heaven. This place is legendary and I hope it never closes down. Love to all my Latinos out there
I love this small breakfast spot. Prices are low & portions are good. Would recommend if your looking for eggs bacon & homefies. Bacon egg n cheese etc. Nothing fancy just some good fast breakfast.
Been going there for years! Home fries, bacon, sausage, sunny side eggs, and toast. That's the order you must get when you go there. Home fries are the best. You also gotta get the Morrir Sonando. Classic place. Love it. Can't say anything more.
Great little diner serving up simple breakfast and lunch. It is always a good time watching them work the breakfast shift with smiles in no short supply. This is not a spot for the new breed of yuppies running wild around the neighborhood. Great fresh squeezed OJ. Not sure why so many people are in McD next door at breakfast but so it is ...
the home fries were so good i was here last summer and I still think about it! super delicious food, friendly staff and a memorable experience ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
The reason I give a 5 star was because of everything worked out perfectly. My original plans was going to streets restaurant...but they are closed permanently. Walked Into Ruben and it was like walking in to your favorite uncle or cousins house. Your basic breakfast place which is fast..in 5 mins u hve breakfast fully cooked in front of me. The cook was so friendly and nice. It felt like long lost family. Had 2 fried eggs, home fries and grilled salami. Omg, reminded me of growing up. Now not the healthiest choices with the salami but it was straight and to the point with friendly atmosphere. Apparently the mornings are full with people. Luckily was there at 2pm. Also had a morrir sonando drink that was prepared fresh and good. Sweet oranges with milk. There was enough for 2 people. I left so stuffed and it was so cheap. It's a nice place for a quick bite that's just refreshingly simple and good.
I tried the lunch for the first time. Chimichurri and fries with fresh juice. Its was amazing.
Good staff service, leave everything with a happy tummy. A good place for a cheap, great tasting, filling breakfast. Their signature "morir soñando" drink sometimes varies and taste depending who makes it but it is rare for it not to taste amazing.
This place makes the best breakfast sandwiches! I usually order a BLT or a Bacon Egg and Cheese and they never disappoint. They are also quick and fast making the food and friendly and pleasant as well.
Old school joint that i used to go to waaaaayyy back in the days went to brooklyn last weekend and decided to search for the place on google maps to see if they were still open and baaaang!! Got me that morir soñando ive been craving since i left nyc many years ago love the place perfect spot for a quick breakfast and morir solandos
Been going here since I was a kid growing up in Williamsburg. this place is a gem that i’ll always come back to 🤍🤍 🇩🇴🇩🇴
You don’t go to a place like this for great cuisine, you go for the pleasant people and the great price
Places like this make NY what it is. Perfect doesn’t mean without flaws it means exactly what’s it’s supposed to be. This place is perfect in every way and I have not enjoyed a breakfast more than this is a very, very long time.
Grew up in Williamsburg and this a must stop for me always. Breakfast and Morir Soñando is always on point. Best home fries ever!! I’m not sure who gave them less than five stars, but they DO NOT know what they are talking about. They never disappoint!
Passion fruit morir sonando drink was very good and staff was very kind !
When I visit Brooklyn, New York, it's always a must stop. Their morir soñando is the best I've ever had!!! Everything on the menu taste great. Plus the service is excellent. 10/10!. My favorite spot since 1996. Can’t wait to return and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend to anyone looking for somewhere to eat.
((4.5 stars)) Reuben Luncheonette is very much an old school spot for breakfast and lunch & anything in-between eats-wise. the luncheonette is a medium-sized place with seating at the counter bar--no tables. food is literally cooked in front of you on the grill. very much a slender hole-in-the-wall places of a NYC that is rapidly vanishing. the space shows its age as a spot in its worn-in interior...nothing fancy just a casual gem of a place that has survived the decades of gentrification by serving the neighborhood and its locals. its hours are early morning through the afternoon. stopped here on a super cold day before closing just as it emptied out— the guys, here, were super kind and stayed open so i could sit and eat. very hospitable. ordered their 2 eggs, home fries, and toast special because i didn’t want to hold them up more than i already was. watching your food being made on the grill is a feast for the eyes and nose as your food sizzles on the grill before you get to eat. the eggs were nice and fluffy. the homefries are fantastic—seasoned well, served hot, soft but not mushy with a little crispness from the flattop. and the the toast rounds out the breakfast special. again, the staff are very hospitable and serve up simple comfort food dishes for breakfast and lunch. if you’re in Williamsburg and up for some classic grill items then head to Reben Luncheonette and enjoy! oh and they have a variety of fresh squeeze juices, too!
Hidden Gem in Williamsburg!! Coffee is absolutely tasty and all the food makes you feel like you are eating straight from Moms kitchen! The man in the kitchen is really a pro with years of expirience! Come through and enjoy yourself a meal!
Best "MORIR SONAYANDO" IN THE WORLD A MUST . Just had to visit the old neighborhood and have breakfast in a place from my childhood the decor has changed but the service love for customers is still the same , a place thats been serving breakfast since 1962 the Morrir sonyando is still top tier and it was great to see 2 of the original employees here brought back memories.
The lime Morir Sonando was delicious, worth the walk over to that side of Williamsburg.
Small place but huge surprises on quality. The best Morir Soñado you'll ever get all of NYC! Great prices for an full meal. Super awesome service for a business open for about 60 years. Get there on time for they're home fries!
Classic diner food. The prices are great if you're looking for a cheap eat, and I walked out of there realizing there was no tip section?? The guys working there are great, I'm going back to tip them soon
Best Home Fries & Morir Soñando in all of NYC, I've been going there for over 30 years, never disappoints.
Quick delivery of a fantastic breakfast delight with great service at an unbelievable price. Eat here!!!

Having been coming here since I was a baby, my family has been coming here for 4 generations. Every time I visit from NH I make it a point to stop here. 10/10 every time
Breakfast was good and so was the passion fruit juice.
For being an inexpensive diner, this place is top notch. A delicious cheese steak sandwich with a mango Smoothie hit the spot. Avoid the nearby fast food chains and eat here. Competitive price and better food.
Friendly people, Great customer service. The food is good and made when you order so you know it's always fresh! And the prices are affordable considerating the neighborhood. Definitely recommend this place. It's been in the community for years!
These folks work HARD in here, cranking out some good hot meals for the community. I needed something good and comfortable, not fancy and expensive, but was stuck wandering the snow in Wberg. Quite the challenge! Very glad I found this place. I got an egg & cheese with some home fries - the lady at the counter asked if I wanted them on the sandwich. She know's what's up! The GOOD kind of home fries too - orange with seasoning! Tip these workers good!
Been coming hear since I was 7 with my best friend. He is no longer here with us, so whenin town I come to enjoy their food! Lemonade Morir Sonando is magnificent!!

Home fries USED to be bomb but now its okay
Been coming here since I was a kid, they rarely disappoint.
Who would have thought that orange juice and milk combined would be a good thing? My entire life I had the notion that oranges and milk should never cross paths. I don't know where it came from, it was just one of those weird things that get inside a person's head and becomes part of their belief system. Now, as an adult I know that I was wrong. And why? Two words: morir soñando. Orange juice, evaporated milk, sugar and crushed ice vigorously stirred to a smooth, frothy consistency this gift from the Dominican Republic is the stuff of dreams. Unfortunately I cannot tell you any more about the menu at Reuben Luncheonette as I've only ever ordered this one thing. The staff are always friendly and seem somewhat amused by our single mindedness when we visit. If you only want to try a taste of morir soñando and aren't ready for a full one, there are often leftovers that are put out as samples so keep your eyes peeled when you are there.
There was the fast cook that really amazed me with his breakfast dish of side home fries eggs bacon toast or bagel with all the coffee you could drink for about 12 bucks with tip
Reben's Luncheonette is the tiny hole in the wall between McDonalds and Chase bank. It has survived the Williamsburg gentrification phase thus far, which is great! The place is full at all times of the day. That is the clear indication of good food. Reben's is a great cheap spot to grab a quick breakfast. It sits about ten people max; this is not an ideal place to dine, though. So your options are to place your order to go or chow down your food fast. These guys make THE best home fries. They are consistent with it too. It is never burnt or clumped up as I have experienced at other places. Solid scrambled eggs with cheese on top. If you have never had the pleasure of drinking a morir sonando drop everything you are doing and make your way to Reben's asap (forgetaboutit if your lactose intolerant). Morir sonando (die dreaming) is the delicious concoction that Dominicans thought up. It is freshly squeezed orange juice mixed with milk and sugar. Don't knock it until you try it! Don't worry about smelling like food after eating at Reben's because you won't. I am not the type of girl that is ok with eating at places where the smells of the food will stick to my clothes. So worry not, even though it is a tight spot. The guys that run Reben's are always happy, courteous, and fast. I highly recommend this place if you are in the area and want a quick bite.
Had breakfast here well worth it, very tasty especially the seasoned taters. Prices were easy on the wallet. I would definitely go back if I had more time.
Skip McD on the corner and stop in where the locals dine! You won't be disappointed. Bathroom and ATM also inside for customers.

I grew up in this neighborhood. I loved their morir sonando and home fries. I have the best memories of their food and the people who work there. I walked in this morning and was saddened. The cook looks sick, he was moving very slow and for some reason I believe he may suffered a stroke previously. But he was still working hard as he could😔the moral of the other employees was down. I was patient and pray that their establishment, re-establishs their spirits and delicious food. Whatever the outcome, I want you guys to know that this neighborhood loves you❤️you guys are legends and we appreciate you🙏🏻
I ordered through Uber eats, I ordered two chimi sandwiches, side order of fries for both, and 4 beef patelitos. I see all the good reviews and I honestly don’t understand what happened. The chimi meat was dry and for the second half of my sandwich, the meat only covered half of the bread. The first part of the sandwich was okay but idk what happened there. The fries never came with my order, when I called my driver they said the restaurant said they put everything in there (the fries had instructions too, so I’m not sure how you end up forgetting food that has instructions on top of it) now for the patelitos...they were inedible for me. Very chewy/but crunchy??? I love crunchy food but this was not it..my partner’s was still kind of raw but he somehow finished his but I couldn’t finish my second one. My assumption is they left it out too long or it didn’t cook enough. We were both disappointed unfortunately. Today may have just not been their day, but this food makes it hard for us both to keep down.
I been going to them for years their morir sonado was on point and the Farina..however the last couple of time the food hasnt been so great, the morir sonando taste like orange peel, they gave me Farina that tasted like burned food n completely got my order wrong. I hope they read this and bring back the good quality of food they used to have
Veggie omelette was great but toast & home fries were so soggy. The home fries had no peppers or onions wasn’t crispy at ALL like literally it was mushed orange potatoes.one half of my toast was slightly toasted the other was cold bread. Burger was okay but the cheese wasn’t melted fries tasted old. Iced coffee was watery. Try at your own risk.

Small store & they are racist & give you small portions for food. Don’t come here
Nasty roaches in the drinks don't order or eat from here
I ordered from this restaurant today and they gave me spoiled potatoes they were suppose to be home fries and they were mushy and mashed with a smell to it I will never in my life oder from here again.
I came to eat here a few times and they just don’t make the food how I ask. I ask for overeasy eggs they give me fried eggs. I ask for toast no butter on the toast. I think they need a woman in here to take charge. It’s all men working here and they seem very unorganized.
Not so clean and not so polite. Watch the chef take up food put in his mouth then use that same hand to put food in customers plate. Come on guy that's not hygienic + it's Covid time. And they were talking smack about a dark skin girl that clearly didn't understand Spanish, she has a right to ask questions about her meal don't disrespect ur customers. 😤
Use to be don’t waste your money or time really sad ! Bad Mangement and lower grade quality of food contributed to its down fall .
I used to come here as a kid and teen. I thought I was going to get the same quality food... but to my surprise it had no taste. The home fries weren't cooked through. The bacon was partially cook. Nothing had any flavor. The bread was stale and toasted. I was highly disappointed.
Maybe i have a bad batch who knows all i know is not only does it smell spoiled it taste it im so upset right now i can't turn back because i have to work but this is so wrong $6.50 down the drain and no brunch 4 me ugh.

Went for breakfast here with my boyfriend and sorry to say but they lost it. The service wasn’t bad but that doesn’t make up for the food being horrible. The cook explained that this was his grandfathers spot for 62 years and that he took over after his grandfather died because he didn’t want the family to lose the spot. My boyfriend and I have ate here in the past and we always loved it, especially the Morir soñando. However this last visit may have been our last time coming here because even the Morir soñando was bad. (Mind you this is something they are huge on) Side note- bacon was cooked in oil instead of the grill Grill cheese was cooked in a sandwich maker instead of the grill Home fries tastes raw even asking for them to be cooked well done. Also price was expensive. Almost $40 on horrible breakfast So sad, hope they work on the cooking skills.
I didn’t end up eating here because I canceled my order after what I observed inside the restaurant. Unfortunately, the overall environment immediately turned me off. The space appeared run-down and not very clean, which already raised some concern. While some food prep was visible, not all of it was done in front of customers. I noticed someone cooking eggs off to the side in a separate room using a very small frying pan, which felt unusual and uncomfortable given the tight space. What ultimately made me cancel my order was watching someone come in from outside, go behind the counter without washing their hands, and immediately start handling food. After seeing that, I no longer felt confident about the hygiene practices being followed. Given the number of questionable sanitation issues I witnessed firsthand, I chose not to proceed with my order. I was genuinely surprised, based on what I saw, that the restaurant has passed health inspections. Cleanliness and food safety are extremely important, and unfortunately this experience did not inspire trust.
