Delicious cocktails, ambient setting (great for an intimate date night), and Paul is the best. The chocolate balls are to die for. Get them. Thanks for a great experience every time!
I love this little place. Just enough seating, good music good service unique cocktails. This place and the Narrows. The same kind of great bar.
Great cocktails and service!
Surprisingly good cocktails for a dark bar next to a auto shop. They have lots of outdoor seating when it’s nice out. Vaccine required for indoor.
It’s a hidden gem!!!! You probably would pass by but miss it! They have very good craft cocktails. The bartender knows what he is doing and takes pride of it! Don’t miss it!
If I could give a 6/5 I would. This place knows how to make a proper cocktail, including the elusive penicillin! Shoutout to Brian and JP!!
spent a great Sunday afternoon there. Great selection of booze, nice cocktails and friendly staff.. looking forward to going back there again.
Been here twice. The cocktails are fantastic. My only complaint is that this bar is a whole borough away from me.
Great drinks always, small, dark and lowkey. One of my favorite bars in Brooklyn.
Great little cocktail bar that is not overly pretentious. Helpful friendly staff who will accommodate you in any way they can.
Best hospitality, you feel the warm and Brian makes you feel like home! 🩵
Great, cocktails great vibe. love the place
Great bartenders/solid service/tasty cocktails.
This is definitely my new after work spot. Open until 2 right now! Great cocktails and a pretty nice wine list too. Shiho was the best, very nice and helpful! We will be back ♥️
Beautiful build-out, awesome owners, everything here is perfect. This is a great spot for a post-dinner date or a relaxing weekend cocktail. Absolutely worth checking out. The staff is extremely invested in helping their customers have a good time.
Best cocktails in Williamsburg. Knowledgeable and welcoming staff. Seems to be to hot spot for a couple’s date night but also a good share of regulars. 5 stars ⭐️
This quiet unassuming bar is the perfect mix of neighborhood bar vibes with creative cocktails. Solid unpretentious mixology. I had the Strawberry Letter and the classic Penicillin, both were delicious. They also have small assortment of charcuterie that’s decent
Talented and funny bartenders! Delicious, unique drinks. Will definitely be back if we're in the area!
We Got Company has all the vibes; you can easily spend several hours there. The staff is welcoming and the drinks are amazing!
Small, hidden bar held in dark colours and dim light. Short, but tasty list of cocktails, beers and wines. Ask the friendly owner about your favourite drink, and he will fix it for you.
Best cocktails in Williamsburg! Best everrrrr, I'd even go as far as to say best in NYC. I'm obsessed with this bar yall are amazing. Every cocktail is a hit. The quality is impeccable, the Mbiance is beautiful and minimal, the staff is so king and friendly. And the location is perfect, 10/10 recommended.
They give you water. all bars should just give you water. 5 stars. simple but creative and good drinks. atmosphere isn't special. but they give you water. went on a shitty date here, but they gave me water. did I mention they gave me water?
This is always one of my favorite spots In Brooklyn for cocktails. Every-time I walk in it feels like we got invited to a secret private event. The place is dim lighting seating is comfortable and the bartenders are solid!! You won’t be upset
Great locals only type cocktail bar. You’d go right by it normally. We happened to catch this on HH and popped in. Had an amazing penicillin with their house made ginger syrup. Absolutely delicious must try! They also pointed us in direction of a great little restaurant that was also a locals only spot that did not disappoint. Will be back when in this area
Best chilled out local neighbourhood bar with great cocktails! I love that it’s not super crowded and you can actually have a conversation in here. It’s a great spot especially in the winter - very cosy!
Our bartender was the shit! Will be back. Loved the ambience, the dim lighting, and good music. Bar fills up we were lucky to snag a table.
"We Got Company" in Williamsburg, Brooklyn, is a hidden gem that perfectly encapsulates the essence of a local neighborhood bar. The moment you step inside, you're greeted with an inviting atmosphere that feels like a home away from home. Whether you choose to sit at the cozy bar or enjoy the outside seating, you'll find yourself in the midst of a community of regulars and friendly faces. It's the kind of place where, just like in the iconic TV show "Cheers," everyone knows your name. The beer selection here is a testament to Brooklyn's craft beer scene, with a fantastic array of IPAs . For those who appreciate variety, the draft wine options are a pleasant surprise, offering a different twist on traditional bar beverages. Now, let's talk about the appetizers – the antipasto with sausage, salami, peppers, garlic, feta cheese, and olive oil is a culinary delight. In the heart of Williamsburg, a neighborhood known for its hipster and trendy vibes, "We Got Company" stands out for its warm and welcoming atmosphere. It's the kind of local place that effortlessly combines the best of both worlds – the cool, trendy aspects of Williamsburg and the friendly, familiar ambiance of a true neighborhood bar. Overall rating: 5 I am obsessed with this place! I know I’m surprised too. Me, liking a bar in Williamsburg 😩😅 who am I. This happy hour deal is insane, that I will be coming back over and over again. The bartender was a grumpy cat but in the best way possible. He barely asks you any questions and you can keep to yourself. The chairs are so comfortable and I love how dark it is 🥹 the old fashioned was so good! And for $9!?!? Chefs kiss. Clear instructions on wifi. 🥲 I’ve made it! Highly, highly recommend.
I like my Old Fashioned with bourbon, nice size ice cubes, definitely not too sweet, and absolutely NOT served with a tiny red straw (eww). I am picky with my drinks and We Got Company bartender knows how to treat you well. Here you can be comfortable and enjoy a relaxed chat, it has the vibe of the Williamsburg before the giant skyscrapers.
I love this bar. The cocktails are excellent and the ambience is cozy. I actually appreciate that they keep out the dive bar crowd.
One of the best in the business and a laugh and a half to hang. Been frequenting the various business this team has opened through the years and always a stellar experience.
When walking down the street, you might not realize it’s a bar but that’s what I love about it. The interior is dark, sultry and provides an intimate outing without trying too hard, whether you are with company or by yourself. I enjoy the window seat to people watch or read a book. The cocktails are delicious, the beer list is always good and has light cocktail snacks. In terms of atmosphere, this is a bar for mature patrons; doesn’t get loud, has limited seating and provides good service…just the way I like it.
love the bar and the vibes and the bartenders and the drinks - so small and cute - last time i tried some cake pops ish dessert and wow so so yummy i’ll definitely come back
Great ambiance and incredibly well crafted drinks. Highly recommend the Strawberry Letter and Gimme The Sun. What a hidden gem…Will definitely be back!
Friendly bartender who made a great off menu non alcoholic cocktail - not too sweet, special enough to feel like a grown ups drink. My girlfriend loved her margarita! Cosy atmosphere and a great playlist
Some really unusual cocktails. Really cosy spot in Williamsburg. Would return if in the area again
Great cocktail bar and staff. I’m a whiskey person and both the Penicillin and Shrub Fuse were some of the best cocktails I’ve had. Atmosphere and music were A+ for me. Truly a Williamsburg gem. Will be back soon.
Great bar and drinks! Also Brian is an amazing bar tender, was attentive, made sure everyone was having a great time while making excellent drinks. The decor, the lighting and staff just makes an overall friendly and easy going environment that is almost impossible not to enjoy.
A very nice cocktail bar, with a curated selection of drafts as well (including wine). The happy hour is very reasonable ($2 off drafts and drink specials). I like that it's unpretentious and simple. The beers and sazerac I had were good.
We rented the entire bar at “We Got Company” for my sister’s birthday, and I truly couldn’t have imagined a better experience. From the very beginning, we worked closely with Jify, who was incredibly comprehensive, thoughtful, and helpful throughout the entire process. He thought of so many details we wouldn’t have even considered, and the package we chose was perfect and very reasonable for the level of service and attention to detail! The bartenders, Jeremy and Hailey (hope spelling is correct) along with the rest of the staff, went truly above and beyond. You could tell they were genuinely happy to be there, and the energy was amazing all night. They were SO flexible, personable, and kind, and made everyone feel so welcome. I was so stressed and they made the night so easy! The level of care and attention that went into every single drink was unlike anything I’ve ever experienced. Delish. The cocktails were so spectacular that this place is officially going to be a new staple for me. They truly made my sister’s birthday unforgettable. Even though we just rented the space for her birthday, the experience felt so personal and special. I will absolutely be coming back. I couldn’t have wished for a better night. Such good vibes and ambience! Divine! Thanks!
My fiancé and I recently hosted our engagement party at we got company, and I could not recommend them enough. Jify, Jeremy, Hailey and Brian are so easy to work with throughout the whole entire experience. They are professional, fun and so respectful towards our whole group. They made sure everyone was having a good time. The drinks were delicious and vibes were immaculate. Thank you for having us!!!!
If there’s such a thing as a “healthy” cocktail bar, We Got Company in Williamsburg would be it. A few friends spoke highly of it and took me here. The place turned out to an absolute gem. Great vibe, professional staff and drinks. I tried three different cocktails, and each one had its own unique character. You could really taste the freshness of the ingredients, which made everything feel lighter and more vibrant than the usual cocktail bar experience. The standout for me was Thinking About You—a cocktail that balanced unique flavors so perfectly. The atmosphere itself made the whole experience even better. It had that Brooklyn energy—laid-back but buzzing, stylish without being pretentious. I walked in curious and walked out knowing I discovered one of my favorite cocktail bars in the city. Highly recommended.
Best bar in Williamsburg. I stop by here everytime I am in town. They have the best Penicilin, and I always get their BBQ nuts mix with it…a killer combo. The staff has that BK cool, and the music is great. It’s the kinda bar you want to become a regular at. Bonus tip: Try the “Thinking About You.” A very unique and beautiful drink
Found this gem, small quaint space with excellent vibes. The music choices was good. Great bar service, the drink suggested Strawberry letter was very tasty it has that kick from the habanero agave with the smooth tequila and strawberry taste. Thinking about you has a peppery kick, but taste is very smooth. Definitely give the bartender double thumbs up on his shaking skills. There's beer on tap as well. I will stop by again. Cheers to the birthday girl.
Wanted to try some cool bar at Brooklyn. We went to Westlife rooftop which was all pack and had to return so after googling some stuffs, we found this small cool bar “We Got Company”, where we had not been before. Wanted to try this new place. I was bit skeptical at first but we just liked the vibe. The friendly server and talented bartender were awesome. All the different cocktails that we ordered were so good. This was small place which very less seating but totally worth going and trying. We would definitely come back to this place and explore more of their cocktail. Must try!!
Intimate dimly lit bar, a little small but luckily was able to find a spot along the window on a Friday night. The strawberry letter is a great spicy margarita; the strawberry isn’t too overpowering
Margaritas we’re really good. Music was a little loud. Cool for date night.
Service pretty short and rude from both male bartender and female barback. Drinks good though.
The cocktails are really good! I wish they carried Sipsmith and had more options for gin based cocktails. It's also super dark, so if you are even relatively visually impaired it's something to consider.
Cute, intimate great drinks and friendly bartenders! One of my favorite cocktail spots.
Excellent vibes and great music. First round of drinks was excellent. HOWEVER, do NOT order the hot Sleepwalker. No matter how good it sounds. It is one of the most foul cocktails I’ve ever had. Please do not waste your money on this particular drink.
Great for a small and intimate date. This spot near the BQE is situated between the Bedford Avenue area and East Williamsburg. It’s the perfect in between spot and also is near the train! Vibes are dark with candle light setting a seductive ambiance. Servers here are usually two at most and try to accommodate the crowd best they can so be patient when it’s full! Never had a drink here I didn’t like.
Bartenders we have tonight was just ok. One is friendly one is a bit tricky. My friend who hung out with me, she is also bartender so she saw when one of bartender mixed drink for me and just let ice melted there without taking the water out so my drink had been diluted. She likes the cowboy bartender in another day more because he is so experienced and don't miss anything.
Cocktails were not the best. -We had a an Old fashioned, which felt watery and a cabernet (Philippe Viret) which was too fruity at first. Service was great, however. The place has a great atmosphere.
Went here for my wife's birthday fancy drink and was not very impressed. The lighting was dim and romantic and the waitress was very polite, but I didn't like her recommendation of a Mezcal drink it was called something by the sun can't remember. Anyways, the thing that bothered me the most was that they really don't go off menu like if you wanted to get a chocolate martini they can't make it. I did get nauseous of the drink but maybe because I don't like Mezcal. Maybe I will come back in the summer.
Drink was on point, but menu had one price, but I was charged a higher price and bartender said I got a deal since I paid cash, otherwise it would have been $2 dollars higher than the pre-tax menu price. 🤔😳😅
Weird vibe from the gentleman behind the bar. Felt like we were unwelcome at this spot. We are not white or from the States.
Staff was rude while waiting for a table and was asked to leave because one member of 5 person table was wearing a Santa hat (In December). Would not recommend this establishment.
Walked in, saw an open high top with three seats and plenty of standing room for the two others in my group. I was told “we can’t have 5 people here” by one of the employees. Being in the service industry yet fundamentally refusing to service customers is irrational…much like the idea of going here for a good time…so beware
Bartender was very rude. Told me I should take off my hat. But it was December and cold. When I refused he said I couldn’t stay, so we left. Was ready to buy over priced cocktails but not worth the aggressive bartender. Do not go here.
Bar tender was pretty homophobic. Made some nasty comments about me and my friend being allowed in the bar based on the way we looked — turned us away without service
Decent ambiance with decent cocktails but the worst service. Was spoken down to the entire time our group was there from the moment we walked in to the moment we left. Would not go back and would not recommend to anyone else.
To the girls: It’ll be cool until it’s not. Great bar, ok atmosphere but obviously caters to the white and privileged. Make sure you come with a date. Bartenders will make you feel super uncomfortable after a while, will literally talk about how you should go home in front of your face. But get to know them. It’ll be good reference for the future.
Do not recommend this bar. I really wanted to like this place, but sadly the staff were disrespectful and unkind. Me and some friends arrived for drinks and were promised a table shortly. We were first in line so a couple of us chose to go to the bar to start ordering drinks while we waited. We got chatting to a group at the bar, and when they left we sat in their place. We were then told to ‘scooch over’ for others who had arrived after us and told to wait again. We got up and waited for a different table and then ordered our drinks, then were told on the arrival of our first drink that we couldn’t stay if two members of our party kept their Santa hat on (it was December and we were having a friends group Christmas gathering). We were given no explanation as to why we couldn’t wear our hat and the drink we ordered was taken from the table while we were given this ultimatum. The staff were disrespectful, unjustly unkind and unprofessional. We would have not minded in the slightest taking off our hat if asked on arrival and given a reasonable explanation.
We were told “I think ya’ll are looking for a quick shot, we don’t have those here because we’re an upscale bar” by a server wearing a tanktop and snapback hat. Terrible service and left immediately. Do not recommend coming here, steer clear.
Other one star reviews are totally legit - I don’t usually post, but the attitude of the head bartender was awful.
The most dickish bartenders I’ve ever experienced in NYC, congrats! A bar only need two things: good drinks and nice bartenders. If you can’t do either of those than try again.
If I could give it 0 stars I would. The ambience and the bar is cute, but immediately after coming in with a group of my friends, we were told we were “too drunk to serve,” I don’t understand where that came from, because we weren’t stumbling in, we were laughing about an inside joke. But ok, never again. Take your business to another bar.
The bartender is alarmingly and seemingly purposefully rude and patronizing. Brought a single slice of pizza in (it’s currently windchill -4 degrees) was told we to eat it outside. We ate some, came back in and sat at the bar with the closed box, and were told to leave because the “pizza smell was just really overpowering and overwhelming” and that we “really can’t just bring pizza in here” because “this is a cocktail bar.” Debatably the most pompous and unpleasant individual I’ve encountered in my life. Go literally anywhere else. Night of Joy is close and lovely!
What a joke of an establishment. This place is a disgrace to the service industry. I was denied service within 15 seconds of entering this establishment. The bartender didn’t have a valid reason to mask the fact he didn’t want to serve me because of the color of my skin. He simply said your party is too big to serve (8-10 people). I’m calling for a private equity firm to buy this place out and turn it to a doggie daycare. Put the word out.
Editing down to a one-star rating in solidarity, since I see the racist worker who I didn't encounter still works here. Disgusting. Quit your job. My two partners and I had an adorable date here at the end of an early bar crawl, around 5pm on a Saturday. Happy hour Sazerac was scrumptious. My mixed-race partners enjoyed their absinthe and vodka drinks. We were at a table, so I don't know how the bartender was. Our server saw that the three of us are together and was putting out please-don't-say-we're-homophobic vibes, haha, so we felt welcomed and we had a great time at our table. The music was loud for my disabled ears but that's standard these days.
❗️AVOID THIS PLACE AT ALL COSTS ❗️As some of the other reviews suggest, the bartender here was unbelievably patronizing, confrontational, and demeaning. We spent our money in this place, were nothing but kind and courteous, yet time and time again the bartender continued accosting us for behaving like we were in a bar. I’m not sure what delusions of grandeur the guy has, but I can assure you, this is a regular place, and not worth wasting your time or money on. Any other bar in the area would be much better suited. Will avoid this place like the plague, and tell all my people to do the same.
This place is exactly what you’d expect from a Williamsburg bar that’s too cool for its company. I asked for an espresso martini, and they told me to “go back to Jersey.” Bold move for a spot with mediocre, overpriced cocktails. As a Brooklyn native, I’ll admit the Jersey dig was funny—but maybe just say no next time.
Bartenders were extremely condescending and refused to let anyone stand. Like they refused to serve you and yelled at you if your bum wasn't on a chair. I also wasn't drinking alcohol - but was joining a large group of people who were drinking a lot. I ordered a coke. He looked at me like I was crazy and said "I don't think we have that".
One of the most disappointing and discriminatory bar experiences I’ve had in New York. My friends and I walked in and saw an open table for four. When we politely asked if it was reserved, the bartender refused to answer and immediately told us we “could only sit outside” at a tiny table in 40°F weather. When I asked again for clarification, he cut me off and snapped, “Did you guys not hear me?” The tone and attitude made it obvious we weren’t welcome, and the way he spoke to us compared to other customers had an unmistakable racial undertone. It was rude, unnecessary, and completely unprofessional. After reading other reviews, this seems to be a pattern. How management responds will show whether they take this seriously. Avoid this place. No one deserves to be treated like that.
This was one of the most disappointing and disturbing experiences I’ve ever had in New York. The bartender physically pushed me and denied my group entry, claiming the bar was “at capacity,” yet continued letting others in right after us. When questioned, he told us there were “plenty of other bars around for us” and that “we must not get told no very often.” The condescending racial undertone was undeniable, and the hostility made us feel unsafe and deliberately targeted. Other reviews show this isn’t new. It’s a pattern, not a misunderstanding. How management responds….or doesn’t….will reveal everything about what this place really stands for. Please avoid this place at all cost.
Terrible experience guy at the front wouldn’t seat us even though there were plenty of seats and threaten to attack my girlfriend ( he was a man) insane behavior. Legitimately do not give your business to this place. Plenty of places in the area to grab a drink
My friends and I had a terrible experience at We Got Company. One friend was told the bar was “at capacity,” yet several white patrons entered right after with no issue. When we questioned it, the bartender became aggressive and said, “You must not be told no often.” It was clear the issue wasn’t capacity but discrimination. Other people of color were also turned away while white customers were served. Completely unacceptable behavior, especially in diverse Williamsburg. I would give zero stars if I could.
I met a friend at this bar and we went to sit at the bar and the bartender had an attitude…because we sat at the bar….at a bar? It was the oddest thing, so we took our business elsewhere. Also didn’t help we were the only people of color inside the entire room. ***** Revising here to say that I saw reviews from people I don’t know who seem to have went the same night I did. I see my suspicions were correct. Do better or get out of the hospitality service entirely. You give the rest a bad name.
Our group came on a Saturday night for a 30th birthday celebration. My husband and I flew in from Seattle for his childhood friend’s birthday. We counted available seats (clearly enough for our group) and before we could even try to sit down, the bartenders were extremely rude, refused service stating they were “full” and “short staffed” (short staffed on a Saturday night?), despite the mostly open bar and clearly available seating. Coincidentally most of our group was Black, young professionals. I clearly noticed the difference in treatment as an Asian woman. Extremely disappointed in this bar and the blatant racism. Would definitely avoid this bar at all costs…
