This has become one of our favorite restaurants in the area! The food tastes fresh, home-made and delicious!!! Waitresses are super nice, personable and attentive! We met the owner Johnnie on our last visit. He took time to visit with us and is also a really nice guy.

The new owners greeted us at the door as we walked in, that was a very nice touch considering that's how Johnny and Barbara did it for the past 40 yrs. We were seated and checked out the menu hoping nothing was changed, to our surprise the menu was unchanged. The best part was all of Barbara recipes were also unchanged. We have a saying, ( if it's not broken don't fix it) Good luck to the new owners, may you be blessed with your endeavor

I go here all the time with my family, it's a tradition by now and they've never disappointed. The only bad experience I've had there was burning the roof of my mouth while having some onion rings. It had to heal for a month. Besides this unfortunate experience, I've always loved this place.

Very nice people and staff, they make you feel welcome. The prime Rib melted in my mouth. Veggies and dip were provided free of charge along with bread which was a nice gesture.

I've lived on the area all my life and never visited Johnny's. Today, we stopped and totally enjoyed it. The seafoid was cooked to perfection and the waitresses were the most pleasant and hospitable staff we've ever come across. We sat outside and enjoyed the view of the lake and it was beaitif. We will visit regularly from now on

Quite peaceful and pleasant! I've past the restaurant many times over tbw years unsure if it was open .. Sunday afternoon as i was driving down rt 31 i asked my girlfriend if she's ever been and just like myself hasn't. . We found are perfect jem that day .. We will return many more times . The food was great ! I had the seafood platter it comes with 2 sides plus salad and rolls and my gf gad the clams .. priced just right, we were surprised on how inexpensive it was .. The wait staff was very inventive , professional and friendly, made u feel at home .. Going back soon 🤗

My wife and I stopped by last night. I was pleasantly surprised that they offered fresh caught perch and a fresh pike special. I grew up fishing around CNY with my dad and Grandpa and seeing that on the menu reminded me of Friday fish frys at my grandpa's house...the seafood is excellent. My wife had a lovely piece of haddock parm and I decided on the perch...there is a certain type of atmosphere that I really enjoyed...I hope to take the inlaws soon

The food was great, but what we REALLY appreciated was their willingness to ensure my daughter with a food allergy was able to eat a decent and safe meal by checking ingredient labels and suggesting safe alternatives.

My friends & I ordered takeout from this place while visiting with each other. We were NOT disappointed. Definitely recommend the chicken riggies! We had great service from the time the woman answered the phone- she was so sweet! 10/10

Had the perch dinner, got 6 fresh filets perfectly fried. My wife got spaghetti and meatballs and said it was delicious. 2 homemade meatballs and enough pasta to feed 4. Will definitely be back.

1st time visit, Staff were so welcoming. The steak was huge, so tender and cooked just as I wanted. The breaded shrimp was very tasty and good size. The entire dining experience was wonderful and will be going back again.

This is my first time stopping here even though I have driven by 1,000 times. What a fabulous experience! Sat out on the deck and watched the amazing sunset. Great food, the service was amazing one of the best experiences ever food came out in perfect time nice and hot... didnt have time to even ask for a refill on our coffee. The owner and his wife were bartendering and serving. Other patrons were amazing to talk to. Bar area really cozy! We will absolutely be back and the prices very reasonable! Highly recommended!

My family and I came here for dinner and sat outside. From the minute we walked in we were greeted with a smile, seated promptly by Ellen and orders taken quickly as well. The food was absolutely delicious with generous proportions. But what really stood out for us was the service. The waitress was the best we've ever had. Every time our drinks got low she filled them up, whenever the plates were clean she took them, she stopped by to make sure we were satisfied throughout the meal. I don't remember her name but she is the reason we will be returning.

Great little place right in Oneida Lake. Been past it a ton if times and finally dropped in for dinner. Has a diner feel but the menu is fine dining. Totally casual but entrees are top shelf. Great dinner: a lot of seafood selections along with steak, pastas, great desserts! Will definitely be back 👍.

Great place! Amazing waitresses and staff. The food was great, we ordered a variety from wings to haddock and prime rib. We also ordered drinks and they were great. Family friendly for our 3 year old. Overall a great experience and we will definitely be going back soon!

Johnnie's is a popular restaurant on the south shore of Oneida Lake. Always busy at the bar and in the restaurant, this place has good food and a friendly staff. Try it.

As a local i personally love this restaurant. During the winter when our lake (eventually) freezes over and the snowmobiles come out, its closeness to the lake makes it perfect as a rest stop to eat and warm up.

Food was pretty good. I enjoyed my food. Friend had salmon with a Jack Daniel's walnut glaze. That looked very good. He said it was. Wife and her sister had fried haddock. Both said it was good. Sides were good.

Great service! The building could use some TLC and or better ambiance for what they charge. The lobster Tails were a bit over cooked but the fried grouper was exceptionally good.

Has been a family favorite for several generations! Seems like they have come back after COVID very nicely! Specials are great and the food is as good, if not better than I remember 20 years ago!

Have been here before. It was amazing the last time. Yes it was 8 years ago when we bought our home on Lakeshore rd cicero. It is our 34 year anniversary so we wanted to go back. Very busy place on a Friday night. We expected a little wait,and it was to be expected. Our server was quite older but finally greated us and took our drink orders. Then we ordered our appetizers which was the fried calamari. $16.95. Really expensive but hoping it is worth it. Ordered our meals and a side salad aswell. The calamari finally came out and it was crispy. A tad to much but we still ate it. Just a little upset because or the price and the portion size was really small. My wife ordered the fish sandwich and fries and her side salad that was $6.95 aswell. My Daughter ordered the fried purch sandwich and a side salad. Then I ordered the fried purch Dinned with fries and coleslaw slaw,also with a side salad. Let me just say the 3 small side salads cost us just under $20 let me be honest, they were freaking tiny. The purch looked like it was a kid chicken tender meal. The food was okay but my complaint is $130.00 + a $20 tip. $150.00 for that was unbelievably over priced and we weren't satisfied. We are sorry to say we would have been happier at Dennys. I also would like to add i am a retired chef of 29 years. I understand the kitchen and restaurant more then most people would ever know. I'm not bashing this place, infact I wish this best for it. I'm just a very honest person. Just was not worth it for us.

First of all our waitress did a great job in taking care of us. My steak was medium to medium well, I ordered medium rare, she made that right. Steak was excellent. Was happy when we got the bill and the price was $6.00 more than menu price. I guess they have outdated menu’s. Not sure I would have got the steak for that much more!

Food is small quantities. Calamari usually over done. And its over priced for the portions

It was not the worst or the best. But the menu was good for a big family with different tastes. Start to finish was just over 2 hours for 6 people, that is a long time with littles. I would go again!

Ok place to take the family. Food is good for the price. The deck outside is nice in the summer, but hot!. Place needs some updates...but otherwise a good place to eat and the service was fast.

Charming ...old school ...nothing "chain " about this place. Sit at the bar and see old photos of bygone years. Sweet. Casual. Proprietors were gracious and welcoming Gorgeous night to dine outside. View of lake - not on the lake.

Prices high not much choice in sides upcharge for waffle fries but don't tell you its extra. I really don't like the place.

Meh. Just meh. No seasoning on anything. Best part of our different fish dinners was the cole slaw. Nothing was bad, but nothing was good enough for us to go back either

My husband and I went there for a fishfry and it was terrible. Tasted like it was frozen leftovers from the week before. Fresh fish should be plump and not smell fishy. What we were served was flat and smelled like it was left out on the dock for a few hours. We'll never go back again nor reccommend it to anyone. There are much better places to go for a meal.

Ordered broiled blackened haddock...forgot the blackened...when I said to waitress I ordered blackened she brought my broiled fish back to kitchen and they pour blackened seasoning on it and brought it back to me...now I'm a good cook and I know that is not how u blackened fish...also it was dry as jerky...so just an FYI...dont order the blackened broiled fish for 19.95...totally not worth your money...

The food was just okay. I ordered a chicken parm sandwich, it consisted of a small piece of chicken on a hamburger roll with a little sauce and cheese. The fish sandwich also was a small piece of fish on a hamburger roll. For the cost it was a disappointment and we wont be back.

Based on all the great reviews - we decided to try the restaurant. It was Saturday night and we ordered mixed cocktails which were good. The waitress very nice and other waitresses were extremely dedicated to their clientele- they truly cared. We ordered shrimp cocktail - they were 5 butterfly that were ok but not large in size. My husband and I both ordered prime rib king/queen cut. I have never sent a meal back so this was my first time. There was no size difference between king/queen cut, 1/2 inch thick with no seasonings and tasted like old steak. We asked for horseradish and received a dish of sour cream with a hint of horseradish. I appreciate reviews and always refer to them before trying anything new - the wait staff were top notch and could go up against the best of the best but the food quality did not match.
