The manager of the restaurant welcomed us when we arrived and his staff was great. I received excellent service and excellent customer service. The food was great. I will go back again to have breakfast with my family. The food was a little high on the prices, but everything else was great. I do recommend this place to anybody that is looking for a place to have breakfast.
I had the pleasure of eating here with my family while we were on vacation and it was amazing! Everything on the menu looked soo good I had a tough time choosing. The beignets are amazing and I had the crabcake eggs Benedict was awesome. The employees were all very kind and helpful. The prices were good too for the quality. I also bought a jar of their huckleberry jam and it has been a favorite addition to my breakfasts. 10/10 would recommend going here.
The restaurant is currently allowing limited dine in seating. The food is delicious (I had the Huckleberry waffle) and came to the table in a timely and hot fashion. Our waitress was friendly and helpful, we had our water and coffees refilled as we needed. I would definitely recommend, and I plan to return as often as I can.
Everything was great. The food and the atmosphere were great we went early, like an hour after they opened the server she was great I have to go back with my coworkers for brunch
Food was good. Service was a bit slow, seemed a bit understaffed.
Clovis local were usually go to is usually a little busy at the time for b or l but we get in within a few short time. Service is always spot on and food comes fresh and hot .Service is always consistent. The crew are great always. portions as always are generous what more can I say it's always great.
Traveling north to Yosemite, we stopped to get gas at Costco on Clovis, and across the street was Huckleberry’s. Wow! It was delicious! I had the Louisiana Skillet—shrimp, andouille, potatoes, peppers, and eggs. The beignets were incredible! Everyone loved their meal. And they were able to accommodate my son’s food allergies. Great atmosphere, service, and food! How will we live without it in Utah?!?!?!
Always super mega extra good!! The salad is really good. The desserts as well. If you are wanting something sweet to drink, the swamp tea will deliver. The coffee is always made right. It is not bitter nor tasteless, it's a great cup of joe. We've almost walked out more than once with the cup in hand, it's great!! The burgers are just right; not dry and not overwhelming. There hasn't been anything we've ordered that we have not liked. The boss manages the place amazingly and the servers are always kind and friendly. You're never waiting long to be served. We really enjoy this location on Clovis and Shaw by Costco. Thanks to everyone at the location!
Really good restaurant especially there stacked chicken and waffles
This place was so good. Me and my husband waited about an hour for a table but we were patient and kind twords staff. They were doing inside dining when we went and the decor and music matched the atmosphere perfectly! It was Saturday morning so I expected that it was busy, and with our table wait, I thought for sure service was going to be slower that the usual but it wasn't! Our waiter was a very friendly young man who was kind and very outgoing. He loved our food pics and was super quick about refills and food delivery to the table. 🧇The chicken and waffle sandwich special they had going was to die for! So sweet and perfectly balanced with that savory flavor. 10/10 would order again!👏
Katrina, like the hurricane, is the bomb! We loved everything about our visit. The atmosphere was great. Everyone was happy. The food was so awesome! Fried okra for breakfast? Yes, please! Yum! We had the steak and eggs to share it was so tasty. Yum. I highly recommend this menu item. The coffee is like cowboy coffee, I have had before. The manager came around to make sure everyone was being taken care of. We highly recommend this awesome place!
My family wanted to have breakfast one more time before my Grandma moved to Idaho and they chose Denny's... a place I only go after a long night of drinking and when I need grease to soak up the poison I ingested while I was out. I convinced them to try Huckleberry's! Every person in the 5 person party (from the 6-year-old to the 90-year-old) said this was one of the best breakfasts ever. I personally went old school with biscuits and gravy, added a little pepper and couldn't have been happier. The others had chicken and waffles, eggs and pancakes, chicken strips (bet you can guess who had that), and some dish with a scramble topped with chili and hashbrowns on the side. All were pleased. Side story... The 90-year-old has never eaten anywhere where she didn't complain, change the order 5 times, or customize the food beyond comparison. She changed nothing, never complained, and cleaned her plate. This made me super happy, of course. If you want a good breakfast at a fair price with friendly staff and a good atmosphere, eat at Huckleberry's. I know I'll be back soon.
Tried for the first time! Love it!! We went on a busy Saturday and got in with in 20 minutes. The staff, service and food were excellant! And the food came out very quickly even though they were so busy! We will be back very soon!
My girlfriend and I both had the Chicken Fried Steak for breakfast. The breaded patty is at least 10oz to 12oz's, the gravy is excellent. The hash browns cooked lightly were great. The service was great our food was brought to us in less than 5 minutes.
We have been thoroughly enjoying our Friday morning breakfasts at Huckleberry's. The food is fresh and delicious... Seriously tastes like home made. And we love Shelbi! I am officially a convert from my old favorite breakfast spot which is really saying a lot because I was low key obsessed with that place. Happy more locations have opened up around town too, we need to try them all!
I broke my diet and had my first waffle in about 15 years. It was fabulous! The complete meal was perfect. Once seated, service was excellent. My server was very attentive and took good care of me. It was a treat.
I've been there a few times, and I plan to continue going. Their food is great, and they have a wide variety to choose from. The staff is friendly and courteous. Nessa has been waiting on me each time I go, and she is great! She helps me to decide on the different items to try, and she has a great personality. She makes you feel like family.
Had to take some Slingstopper Giggly Sticks down to Selma for Goosebump Charlie, he needs it on his cotton farm to keep the Bowhigglies away from the cotton heads. They'll sure work, always have, they just make a lot of racket when they release, kinda like when a firecracker goes off. The only good thing about the drive down to Selma is stopping at Huckleberry's Breakfast Restaurant on the way back, what a treat. It's like walking into a familiar place where everyone says hello to you. 5 stars ☆☆☆☆☆
The food and the service was amazing. Our waitress was on top of our refills for coffee, tea and everything else we need. I had the Beignets as an appetizer and they were so delicious. You have to try the swamp tea! Our waitress even gave me one to go.
Great food! Will go back again!
We had the friendliest server ever—-she was super friendly even at 7am! I think her name was Maria. Plenty of seating available at 7am on a Sunday morning. We ordered the beignets per Her recommendation and they were delicious. They were 3 beignets with three delicious fruit purées, apple, blueberries, and strawberries! A must order! Our family of four ordered the pumpkin pancake special and the chicken waffle. The pumpkins pancakes were super fluffy. The fried chicken was just a tad dry. Caramel macchiato was also great—topped with whipped cream. We asked for extra plates, but our server went the extra mile and brought it already split to our table. Really appreciated this gesture. Attentive service-asked us twice about refilling coffee.
We went to visit family in Fresno and took them to Huckleberries. We had an awesome server named Veronica. Our party was about 14 of us. She was very patient and helped us deciding what to order on the menu. She kept our table clean and brought to go containers. The food was exceptional and very good 😊 I really want the management know how great Veronica was. We will definitely be back soon. My brother is getting married so I definitely want to go eat there again. Thank you for such a wonderful time.
I think this is definitely more of a breakfast place, we tried some items for lunch but it wasn’t as great as the breakfast! The iced coffee is great! Don’t forget to try the beignets! They are delicious!
The food was good overall. The chicken and waffles were delicious! 🤤 The beignets were tasty for my palette, yet my friend thought they were just ok. I was hoping for country style chunky potatoes with red skin, but they weren’t what I hoped for. The poached eggs…well, they didn’t look poached and they tasted sour, just get fried or scrambled eggs.
I recently dined at Huckleberry’s here in Clovis, CA, and I was absolutely blown away by the quality of the food! The Huck’s Breakfast Burrito was perfectly cooked, and the flavors were incredibly well-balanced. The Huck’s Breakfast Burrito, with its fresh and delicious ingredients, was a standout. The presentation of each dish was also beautiful, enhancing the overall dining experience. A special shoutout to the amazing Kitchen Manager, Alfred, who, along with the talented cooks, ensures the food comes out quickly without compromising on presentation or taste. The service was attentive and friendly, and the atmosphere was warm and inviting. The staff worked seamlessly together, and even during the 12 o'clock rush, there were no wait times, with staff greeting you at the door to assist. I also would like to shoutout to my amazing server, Nessa, who always gave me amazing service with a smile. I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a memorable meal! I will be back more often as they are open from 6 am- 3pm!
We came here for breakfast me and my fiance and SIL and her bf we were greeted with a warm welcome and it was a bit of a wait for a table and we got a booth in the far corner at first it was just 4 of us but then 2 later joined and our waitress was super nice about it and she was very attentive gave us enough time to look over the menu since it was our first time we originally chose this place cause me and my fiance love Tombstone the movie anywho after we ordered we waited about 15min or less and our food came out looking and tasting delicious and we thought it was gonna burn a hole in our pockets but for all 6 of us was about 95-96$
Huckleberry’s is a Bayou-themed restaurant. We arrived shortly after 8 a.m. on a Sunday. The restaurant was moderately busy, but became standing room only by the time we left. We ordered flapjacks (a huge portion) with a side a bacon and French toast. Very tasty. The waitress kept our coffee cups filled. We enjoyed the southern theme of the restaurant; a painting of a paddle-wheeler on the Mississippi, lighting made from mason jars, and booths with a tin roof over the top.
I was impressed. Very Friendly staff. Short wait time. They told our group of 8, it would be about 15 to 20 min. They had us seated in 8 min. Our food arrived at about the same time so we were able to eat together. Good food & reasonably priced. They also have clean restrooms. We would definitely go again.
Friday mornings are busy! Had breakfast with family and it was delicious. Chicken and waffles were on point. Our waitress was cool. Place is too small for busy days. Service was good though. Must try.
The beignet were not even warm but tasted good. The Green tomato Eggs Benedict was very tasty and my granddaughter liked it! Also coffee wasn't hot. Service was friendly and prompt with food coming out very fast considering how busy they were on Good Friday!
I'm really not a fan of Cajun cuisine. I didn't realize this restaurant was, as this was my first time eating there. I have been to New Orleans and tasted the French Quarter cuisine. Cafe Du'Mond was a spot for bienets, which are absolutely out of this world. Before I left, I ordered this restaurant's version of the tasty treat but was disappointed because it wasn't even close to the NOLA. Don't get me wrong, it was edible, more like an American doughnut. The food was very delicious and flavorful. I would recommend eating there.
I went the morning of 5/29 it was a to go order. On the phone, the one girl was nice. When I went to pick up, the girl at the register started to ring me, the transaction was not finished, she trs to a party that walks in and starts helping them. I was waiting for a receipt, as I I was to be reimbursed, so I went to get a couple creamers ad the same girl across the lobby utters "I already put some I." Another employee on Break eating says"That is ok you can take some and thanks me." I waited a couple motes original came back when I asked for receipt just not friendly. I shouldn't have tipped her. However everyone is nice there otherwise and food is tasty.
Had a very great time. My first visit there and became a fan instantly. Food was cooked great and awesome options. Not your standard diner, but that's a great thing for me personally. Prices are reasonable. And please don't let them take away the "Stacked Chicken and Waffles"! (So delicious)
Chicken and waffles r good I had the catfish it was delicious the rice was very close to the original new Orleans way the Beginets were nothing close to new Orleans but it was a nice try The service was good it was a very inviting atmosphere the manager even came by to ask how the food was we were greeted and seated fast food came fast the portions were hearty I WILL BE BACK FORSURE
The wait wasn't long. We got in and waited a few minutes till we were seated. Our server came right away. Got our drinks to us. I ordered the Huckleberry salad and my friend ordered the Huckleberry burger. I thought it was good. They could've put a little more lettuce. It is just a salad. The burger though was large. They didn't put enough fries with it. My friend was so hungry I didn't get a picture. Overall it was great.
I love coming to eat breakfast here but this was my first time at this location and the waitress attending made me feel racially discriminated. Made me feel out of place. Was short and didn't give us any suggestions like she was doing with other tables nor let us switch something from the plater we were going to order. Her excuse was they don't do that there. But yet later on she let the other table do that. We ordered our kids food first so it can come before ours, but she didn't put in the order until after we were ready to order our food. Which she took a while to come back to take our orders we had to go looking for her ourselfs. She didn't say anything wrong. But her actions were totally off. Towards the end she was more kind but we started off with a sour taste in our mouth. An extra plate we ordered of scrambled eggs looked like they scraped it off another plate because there was toast residue on the plate. Sticking to Shaw or Blackstone huckleberry.
The order never got ready on time. It takes at least 15 to 45 minutes to prepare each order. Some orders are cancelled by the customers.
The food is pretty good though always a bit lacking in salt. Good portion for its amount. My only complaint was that I forgot my to go box at my table. I walked to my car and remembered it. I turned around and went back inside. They threw my box away. I hadn't touched more than a third of my food. It was upsetting that they didn't even apologize or waited at least 1 min before tossing it.
Place looked promising, we were sat quickly, lady took our drink order was a bit rude, then I after 20 minutes had to ask where our drinks were. Food when it came out was ok, eggs were cold, sausage Luke warm and crepes were ok.
The biscuit was overcooked and hard as a rock. Service was good and noise level made it hard to have a conversation. Way too noisy.
Service was good! Beware if you order the scramble they will serve powdered eggs. I couldn’t even eat it. It was “mush” in my mouth. This is unacceptable for a $15 meal. If I were to rate solely on this it would be 1 star. However, our other meals were acceptable so they will get 3 stars. I will say our server compensated our meal for the scramble. So, they do care for their customers.
It was fine for a chain restaurant. You get the feeling that it really wants to be a small town local diner, but it feels pretty fake and corporate. The food was fine. My shrimp omelet wasnt awesome. The shrimp tasted super fishy like bad quality or freezer burn or something. I had a virgin bloody mary, which was awesome. My boyfriend had a huckleberry lemonade. The huckleberries are clearly from a can - they're covered in that thick gelatinous goop that you get with canned pie filling. Biscuits and gravy were really good. I dunno, maybe I'll come back, but I'm not excited for it. It's just conveniently located next to Costco.
We had a party of 13 which they handled us well. I think this was my second time here and both times were picked by others. I ordered The Mississippi with a Huckleberry muffin(blueberry muffin). The Mississippi was an egg scramble served on a skillet. I generally get these types of dishes at breakfast restaurants. I didn’t care for it and wouldn’t recommend it. The flavor was lacking and had very little cheese. Maybe salsa would have made it better. The blueberry muffin was lousy. It was dry and crumbly. They had coke products but I got a water which tasted good. Overall, I didn’t like my meal but everyone else enjoyed theirs.
It was okay , for my first time being there I was sat in a spot where all the sun was hitting my directly and I kindly asked the waitress if she can lower a blind since the sun was all in my face and made my time there uncomfortable, but as the time went by , nobody did nothing, I asked again and they said they will but nobody never even closed the blinds, so I just ended up leaving. Didn’t feel comfortable there from the start to be honest.
So we decided to give them a try since we noticed the restaurant open at the new costco location. The Louisiana skillet was very good and full of flavor. My wife opted for the pumpkin special, the pancakes where good but the rest tasted like If they where microwaved. The portions are very big I ordered 2 biscuits thinking they where small and it looked like I got 4. Cleanliness I would say it could do better. Service I would give a 5. Our waitress Maria was excellent.
Caution: They charge $5.69 for a cup size of orange juice.
Stood by the door for ten minutes, host did not ask me to be seated i had to ask one of the team members if I can sit anywhere, if I wasn't soo hungry I would've walked out. Won't be back , jus jos down the road always greets me upon arrival.
The male host was great. Friendly, attentive, helpful. He tended to us more than the waitress. Waffles were cold. Waitress never checked us. Finally snagged someone to ask for coffee refill. They took forever to bring me coffee. Eggs were clear and runny, asked for over medium. Dark and cold in there
My waitress Dianna didn't acknowledge our meal sitting up ready to go in the kitchen for about almost 15 minutes. When I received my food it was cold. What really got to me was when I said something she blamed the cooks.. I'm like come on the food was hot when it was ready 🤦♂️ first time there. Meals taste great. The workers are wonderful. My waitress just fell to meet my needs. 👎 will I go back. YES. Just not the same place.
Food was delivered and it wasn't great. One bag had the styrofoam clam shells tossed everywhere, the other looked like the bag had been placed on its side as all the food was shifted to one side of its container. The food itself was cold, bland, and not enough for what I paid for. My steak was rubbery and not medium rare like I ordered. The toast were bathed in butter that my son compared the taste to "popcorn butter". Eggs were small and my son said his scrambled eggs were really dry. The country reds were really mushy like they had been in water too long. Not a happy customer and sadly not going to be a returning one.
We just left, and I'm furious. The manager “Spanish young man“ was extremely rude, and the waiter wasn't much better. They charged my kid's meal at full price, and we waited 20 minutes just for creamer for our coffee. Despite the restauran not being busy, it took over 15 minutes to get the receipt, and even then, they never return to take the payment—I had to go up to the front desk to pay. This is absolutely unacceptable.
Came back after 2 years. I decided to have brunch with my family. I have a one year old and a six year old. I received my drinks and an appetizer but after almost an hour I saw the families around me were done or receiving their food and me with my kids just watching. I went to the manager and asked what happed with my food and they noticed that the server didn’t put my order in. My one year old was crying because she was hungry. This used to be my favorite spot and now that I decided to come back to eat here I got really upset.
Don't order for pick up. Arrived 10 minutes after my order was supposed to be ready for me to, waited for an additional 10 minutes without any of the 10 servers or hosts walking by and looking at me, but never acknowledging me. Eventually had to ask a host as they were writing down the name of the 4th dine in Customer since I arrived. Only to be told, "Yep! Going to check on your order. It's ONLY me working!" Then she ran off without even getting my name for the order. It's really sad because the food is great, but the service has hit rock bottom. She also wasn't the only host working... 30 minutes after my order was ready, the host finally stopped talking to coworkers and grabbed food containers that had been sitting in the kitchen to go ready area for the entire time I had been there. I hope the food isn't cold. Edit. : Food was very cold, and they didn't give me the complete order, an item for my daughter was missing.
Great place to eat in person. Do not order through doordash, however. We gave it 3 chances, 3 fails. They are always missing items... Big items, like the gravy for your biscuits and gravy, or the strawberries for your strawberry waffles. We were even missing the country fried steak one time. Calls to the establishment were meet with indifference, even when speaking to a manager. Poor leadership, poor customer service.
Poached eggs were basically just hard boiled and the potatoes were chewy. Crab cakes were definitely frozen.
Had high hopes for this place considering so many people wait for it outside. This is an example of just because it’s popular, doesn’t mean it’s good. Waited super long for our food to come out just for it to be cold. I’ve never been so disappointed with my food before. Hash browns were cold, oily, soggy, and tasteless. Same thing with the eggs and usually you can never go wrong with these. Couldn’t even finish my food before just asking for the check. First and last time.
I usually have breakfast here on Sundays... I've never received such poor treatment. It took 30 minutes for my food and 15 minutes for a cup of coffee. I realize it can be crowded and they're busy, but we really felt abandoned at our table. I'm still here waiting for my food after 40 minutes.
My fiancée and I went there yesterday afternoon around 12:30pm on a Thursday. We were excited to enjoy a nice lunch date. We have been to other locations but not this one which was closer to our house. We sat in the waiting area for about 10 minutes which was normal. We were then sat down. In our booth, we looked through the menu for over 12 minutes and were ignored the entire time. The waitress assigned to us did not even bring us water which is normal routine. Then the decision came for us to leave when our waitress sat another pair of people and asked them immediately what drink that they wanted to order. We have been sitting here 12 minutes with no service and she literally sat down another group and already serviced them! We were flabbergasted! It’s like we were ignored on purpose as other workers would just walk by us. We decided to take our business to IHOP down the street! Where we were sat immediately and served the actual food within 10 minutes! I’m not too sure who manages this restaurant but they are not doing a good job! I’ve never walked out of a restaurant in my life! Anywho the couple next to us there complained about their food being soggy and the waitress didn’t even apologize! This was a real bad experience for us and we will never visit a Huckleberry restaurant again! I’ve added a photo of what we ate at IHOP! They came to the rescue and saved our lunch date! Thank you IHOP!
Extremely Disappointed at Huckleberry’s – Clovis/Shaw I recently had a concerning experience at Huckleberry’s. My husband’s prescription Oakley glasses were left behind. When I returned not even 5 mins later the busser who wiped our table claimed he hadn’t seen them. After searching with the manager, the glasses were still missing. When I requested that the manager review security footage, the same busser suddenly retrieved the glasses from the trash—completely broken in half. There was no food residue, and the table had only a few cups remaining. Busser also claimed to have washed the broken glasses, yet there was not a drop of water on them. It appears the glasses may have been handled improperly or intentionally damaged. The police were only provided footage of the dining area, not the kitchen or trash bins, where this incident occurred. Most establishments have cameras covering those areas, so it’s unclear why this crucial footage wasn’t provided . This is extremely disappointing. Customers should feel safe trusting staff with personal belongings, and this experience shows a serious lapse in professionalism. I have emailed and called the owner Ray with no response. I hope management addresses this issue promptly. I cannot recommend this location until staff conduct and security measures are reviewed.
Decided to order take out eggs Benedict from this place as they’re supposedly one of their staple dishes. They completely missed the mark. Eggs overcooked when they should be runny, bread was more like a rock and the hollandaise sauce was scarce. We also ordered a waffle and it was soggy and flavorless. Didn’t even get syrup or butter packets. Maybe it was an off day but we’ll probably not return.
