The cashier/ barista was super sweet and welcoming the coffee she made was extremely amazing I truly recommend coming here not only is the atmosphere welcoming but it’s also very clean and quiet (they also have the most cute and affordable souvenirs)
The blueberry muffin was delicious. My kids liked the chocolate chip cookie, but the brownie was too salty for them. The latte and coffee were good.
From the wide plank floors, to the folksy/jazzy music, to the couple arguing about the nature of modernism (in French), the vibe of this place is perfect. It certainly doesn’t hurt that the coffee roast was exquisite, the staff knew what they were talking about and the pastries melted in the mouth. I felt comfortable here and will go back anytime I’m in town.
i enjoyed my visit here today! great location on Main Street. good service. i had an iced s’mores latte and a cider donut, both were super delicious! only complaint was that it was super hot inside. we decided to sit outside so it doesn’t take away from my rating. i highly recommend stopping by!
I ordered for my signature drink. As I have tried at many coffee shops, but I really like their Iced Cortado with olk milk. Their espresso tastes so good. The baristas are amicable too.If you are a coffee addict, no doubt you should buy a nice cup of coffee.
Great coffee, good pastries. I got a double espresso over ice which was very strong and hit the spot. I also got an almond cardamom bun which was excellent, probably best cardamom bun I’ve had. Will definitely come again.
This coffeehouse is truly a gem and a local institution. The staff is always warm and welcoming, making every visit feel like catching up with friends. The pastries are truly out of this world. It’s the kind of place where you immediately feel at home. We’re lucky to have such a wonderful, community-minded spot.
This places is incredible! The girls behind the counter are SO kind and so authentic and the brown butter flavor that I got in my coffee was perfect! Real, not too sweet, and homemade. What else do you need!? (Maybe some mushroom coffee, but that's just cuz I drink it;)
Great cafe! The lattes are creamy to the last drop and the pastries fresh and delicious.I very much enjoyed stopping by for coffee. The only con, might be the lack of focus and attention to details at times. There was a young boy on register who kept biting his nails and spiting them out on the floor while other customers were waiting on their orders
I recently visited Cold Spring Coffee, and the bakery was fresh and inviting. It was busy because of the weekend, but the service was great. The staff took the time to explain the ingredients in each pastry, which I really appreciated. Since it’s fall, many of the bakery’s offerings had apple flavors, and I tried the original scone and apple muffin—both were delicious. Definitely a cozy spot for fresh baked goods and seasonal treats!
Cold Spring is a charming little coffee shop with really good coffee and fresh, delicious pastries. I enjoyed the cozy atmosphere—it’s a nice place to relax, catch up on work, or just take a quiet break. The staff were friendly, and everything felt welcoming. Definitely worth a visit if you’re in the area!
Cold Spring Coffeehouse deserves credit for its creativity—did you ever have a poached egg and goat cheese cruffin? Neither did I. Beyond those inventive touches, the place fits right in with the charm of the village. The pastry and coffee selection is broad and appealing, making it a good stop if you’re in town. That said, prices are on the higher side for what you get—this is Cold Spring, not New York City. The backyard could also use a bit of TLC, but overall it’s a pleasant spot to grab a coffee and a snack. For me, it’s a solid four-star place: nice atmosphere, creative offerings, and worth a visit when you’re in the area.
Decent coffee shop. Seems to be a bit more barren than it could be. And less inspiration to talk and work up with too tidy set up of tables. Pastries were a bit pricey and good but not great. The cranberry granola was messy! But - it’s kinda the only option so they deserve marks for trying! Perhaps with competition they’d go the extra mile.
I don't want to leave an extremely negative review because I didn't even try anything here, but it's worth noting that I waited for 15 minutes on line, super excited to try something here, but while I was waiting on line, I noticed that flies were going in and out of the display and landing on the bakery items on the top shelf. I was still going to stomach it and hope that they weren't landing on the jelly donuts on the bottom shelf, but when I finally got to the front of the line, I noticed that there was a fly on one too. I ended up just walking out after waiting so long and was super disappointed because I actually wanted to try one. You guys should really get a display case with a sliding glass door on the back. This would have been two separate health code violations in NYC.
I’m a local, I live and work in town and have been coming here for years now. It used to be that even when it was busy, the service was warm and friendly. There is always music playing, but it used to be a calm coffee shop vibe that was great for sitting and working or chatting with friends. I don’t know what happened but the change in staff has been awful. It’s a bunch of teenagers behind the counter. They’re rude and barely engage with the customers. My friend and I have both received the wrong order multiple times. When she asked to have it fixed, they rolled their eyes. The music is loud, and seems to usually be rap or something else. It’s not the kind of music you can sit and enjoy. It’s the opposite of inviting in there now. I used to go there 3-4 times a week and I avoid it now. It’s really disappointing to see because it’s really the only coffee shop in town.
Reviews say there are great vegan options - when I went in (traveled up from the city) - the employees acted like I was crazy for asking if anything was vegan (answer was no), rolled their eyes at me and said “no clue” when I asked if there was anywhere nearby with vegan options. So unfriendly that I didn’t even want to get coffee. Terrible service.
The girls behind the counter were definitely more concerned with talking to each other than attending to customers. We got two lattes and a bacon egg and cheese pretzel bagel. They gave it to us completely cold. Bit into a VERY salty bite. Then got to stone cold egg. I couldn’t even eat it. It was awful. I thought about going inside and asking for my money back and I never do that. Instead I just put it on top of the garbage outside for the birds. Coffee was ok. Edit: after the owners replied to this review I would like to respond. The young people you employ were not paying attention to any of the customers. I didn't feel like we're receptive to hearing a complaint. Also, it was our first time in your establishment. Maybe, your employee should have ask if I wanted it heated up. I would have said yes. I post when things are good and when things are bad.
I think this is the best cafe and fresh pastries in Cold Spring and I always come here. During the week, the staff is extremely friendly and helpful. Unfortunately, over the weekend, they put all teenagers in charge, with no experience and no one to monitor correct them it seems… This Sunday's young man, seems reluctant to be here and is always biting his nails in front of the register and spiting it out on the floor, touch his hair holding the bag when serving the pastries.I specifically asked him for a latte in a cup to stay and he gave me a paper cup. When I asked them to correct the order, he strode by and rolled his eyes with the other girl who changed my latte. I really hope those things will change because I always recommend the cafe to everyone I know!
