Been here about three times. Food is very affordable. Tastes great. Service is quite fast on a week day. Friendly staff. I have ordered the pecan pancakes, buttermilk pancakes, and French pancakes. I have to say I was disappointed with the French pancakes, since they were mentioned they are crêpes, and they are not near to that. Still tasted good. Very good portion sizes. Aesthetics of the restaurant could be better and make it look neater, but I enjoy the old time counter set up. Will keep coming back

Rating strictly on food and service. Portions are very generous and the food is really good! I only ordered 2 pecan pancakes and only could finish half. Popular spot for brunch on a Saturday. We sat at the bar area to avoid the wait. The staff is very friendly. In spite of the full house, we got our food promptly. They are very generous with their portions. The pancakes and crepes are delicious. Paid around 60 bucks for three plus tip.

Been coming to SDPH for 10 plus years. Its a Mom n Pop cozy little place, decorations reflect the community at large. Portions are generous, coffee is always hot and never burnt. Selection of pancakes is staggering, and for what you get versus what you pay, you are coming off on the richer side. All the wait staff have always been a blast. We were thrilled that SDPH survived the Pandemic shutdown, and are still trucking along. Someone posted about never having brown gravy, clearly youve never really enjoyed food. Brown gravy on biscuits is a delight!

Everyone working there were all so nice! They were so great at making sure we had everything we needed, our stomachs were happy and our cups were full! We couldn't of stumbled in on a better place with an old school feeling when you first walk in which brought my husband and I back to our childhood memories!! I was so happy to have found this place years ago. This place is awesome all around, from the daily specials to the friendly staff that always make you feel like your at home. They have a huge variety of: pancakes, waffles, crepes and more. The country fried steak never disappoints topped with a healthy serving of gravy brought alongside some some moist delicious biscuits. They always serve you fresh salsa and will bring out some fried Jalapeños to spice up your dish upon request.

The coffee is endless here. All the waitresses are very sweet. I had a huge veggies omelette. The veggies were kind of just flipped inside but it was still delicious and filling. Their hash browns and toast didn’t disappoint either. A good home style breakfast option.

My last few visits have been superb. I love the location, the quirky diner style and the food. Servers are always friendly, quick and on top of making the meal pleasant. The coffee here is great and the food comes out quick, hot and well prepared.

I ordered their chicken fried steak with pancakes. I cannot stress enough how delicious their country gravy is and how perfectly cooked the chicken fried steak was. The gravy was savory and full of flavor (where I've normally experience pretty bland taste elsewhere) and the steak was moist and juicy on the inside with an AMAZINGLY crispy breading. When it comes to the service, whether it was our waitress, the bus boy, or the hostess, they were always making sure we had everything we needed and were enjoying our meal. The place can get busy, but that adds to the charm! It wouldn't be a small, family-owned restaurant without the hustle and bustle of the locals.

A Mom and Pop that has stood the test of time. First time back in this place in 18 years. was hoping to show my wife and kids a piece of my childhood weekends. We were promptly sat in the same booth (with the large window over looking Main st) that my family used to sit in for a decade by a friendly member of their staff. Amazing service was provided in ordering and ensuring or drinks were filled and we had all we needed. The food took me down memory labanaI was excited that the nostalgia, quality, and service of my childhood pancake spot was still very much around for my family to experience.

Ordered the veggie omelet and strawberry french toast, it was delicious! The dining area is small so it can get noisy when the restaurant is packed. Also, the coffee was kind of watered down. But other than that, the food is great!

This place is great. The service and staff were super on top of everything. They checked on us a ton of times. I was there on a Friday morning at 8am and it was pretty quiet. It started to get busy at about 9 or 10, so seems like even during the week the earlier the better. I’m guessing it is packed on weekends in the morning, obviously. I had the chili pancakes, which may sound weird but they were fantastic. I would definitely like to come again and try other things. Everything on the menu looked super good. They have waffles, omelettes, scrabbles, sweet pancake dishes, and various other things. I would recommend it to anyone. My chili pancakes were 17$ and the bottomless coffee is 3.29$, which I think is worth it as long as you know going in. 17$ is on the higher end for their dishes, many of them you get get for less. And they have combos for like even 8$ or so. Great experience

Food is great, plus you get a good portion at a fair price; nice clean restaurant, the overall experience is always made so much better by the amazing wait staff. I'm not kidding you the staff will make you feel like you're old friends. No coffee cup goes unfilled, no customer goes unnoticed and they more than earn their tips. My favorite are the omelettes, chicken fried steak and their tasty pancakes. Take the family and enjoy the experience.

.y wife and I had breakfast here on Saturday, May 29th, and Edith was our waitress. My wife had the crepes, which she loves, and I had eggs and pancakes. Edith was AWESOME and extremely attentive. The food is always great. We drive 30 miles to have their wonderful breakfast.

So delicious! I ordered German style crepes, which wasn't on the menu and they made them for me. Yummy!

The pancakes are so good. Portions are are generous and the food is fresh. The omelete looks like they use extra large eggs because it's big for only two eggs. My 8 year old nephew said he really liked his French pancake and he is pretty picky with crepes and strawberry sauce.

Pecan pancakes were fluffy and buttery and perfectly grilled. Biscuits and gravy were surprisingly great too. The French toast was just fine but that’s just my opinion because I don’t like when it’s supah yellow. Great service.

I have visited this establishment for over 30 years. They always have the best breakfast. Because of that, you are going to have to wait especially if you want a table. I usually go to the bar when I'm alone. You gotta try their pancakes of course. The waffles are excellent and their western style omelettes with hash browns are hard to beat. One of my favorite breakfast places ever. Used to go regularly if not weekly when I lived in the area. Anytime Im passing through in the morning, this is our go to place. Food and prices are great as well as the service. I'm a French Toast person and this is my favorite place of any I've tried. Love that they also have maple as well as blueberry syrups. Need to get there early or prepare for a wait, but it's worth it.

There are so many unique and delicious pancakes here! If you can't make up your mind try a couple, it's like ~$4 if you order a single and I always get 3-4 different pancakes haha. Service when I go is so kind and attentive, and the look of the place is a blast from the past. I bring friends here just for the old-school and cozy atmosphere. Had a great experience, no wait for 5 people at 9am on a Sunday. Service was great, orange juice was huge, which is good since other places skimp out on the juice. Pancakes were absolutely top notch and delicious! All other food looked incredible. Would definitely eat here again when I come to town. One photo is of the chocolate pancakes, other is the banana pancakes. Both are short stacks.

Classic American breakfast diner. Felt like I was in a movie. From the weight of the coffee mug, the American flag on the wall, the local business cards under the glass of the table, to the epic pancakes and classic American Breakfast. It was all perfect. The blueberry pancakes were the best I've ever had. The coffee with free refills hit all the right spots. The Silver Dollar Breakfast special featuring 2 eggs the way you want it (i asked for over easy and they nailed it), 2 breakfast sausages, 3 slices of bacon, and a healthy portion of shredded hash browns was the perfect choice for a complete, wholesome Sunday morning breakfast. For a moment I felt like I was in heaven.

All of them work together to constantly walk around. And we absolutely love the food you will not be disappointed with anything you order! Good food, decent service. Everyone in our group ordered a different order of pancakes. Everyone was pleased. Some more than others. The banana pancakes with caramel are the best. Eggs, bacon, sausage and hash browns are of average diner quality, nothing to write home about. Service was decent. Took a while to get out order taken. Food did come out pretty quick once we ordered. Coffee wasn’t hot, warm at best. If you go, be prepared to wait for a table. It’s a pretty popular place. Overall, I would recommend You go get some pancakes on a lazy Weekend.

Here goes my first experience at this restaurant. I ordered blueberry pancakes with hash browns, no eggs, bacon and sausage. I also ordered coffee. We walked in and it already seemed a bit busy at 8:05am. A gentleman asked how many and we said party of 2. He pointed to an area. We selected a half circle table near the window. The seating area was uncomfortable because the table was too rectangular and big for the area. Every employee was working hard and kept checking in too much for coffee refills. It was bit loud, but overall the server; she did good taking our order. I enjoyed the most the pancakes and bacon and finished 1 of the sausages. It would benefit if they upgraded a bit the inside for better atmosphere or created an outdoor section towards the back of the restaurant. It just needs improve to be more appealing and have someone greet or direct people coming in. It was a bit confusing as we entered and it being my first time. The good thing my friend kinda remembered a bit since he had gone there once long time ago.

The Wife and I had this restaurant in our places to try. I can honestly say its not bad at all. Small place with a huge heart. We had to wait a bit for our food to arrive, but they are busy with the breakfast rush and that's understandable. I had chicken fried steak , wife had corned beef and mom had the veggie omelet (which is pictured). If you are looking for a good breakfast and dinner atmosphere then this is your place to go.

although i did not order from the "specials" board, i know during my next visit i will. i ordered the banana pancakes and they were really good. the drizzle they use was a bit overwhelming on the sweetness and i should've asked for a bit less but there wasn't a description of it on the menu. the customer service is average but they provide quick service. the parking lot looks as if it's under construction but you can go to some of the other spaces in the shopping center.

Although it was my buddy's treat, so I didn't have to pay, I can assure you that it wasn't worth it. When he asked me, How was it, I lied and said it was ok because that's what you do when someone pays too much for crap when it's the thought that counts. If you don't like your in-laws or step whatever, take them there for breakfast. 😅

Great food but it’s impossible to navigate or even get in if you are ADA or bring someone in a wheelchair. I really hope they get this addressed before the city addresses it. I did mention it already to the city and no response. I couldn’t get my grandfather in because he can’t leave his wheelchair and they recommended I lift him and carry him in. No way to get in with a chair. I can’t imagine a motorized chair.

This place used to be so good back in the day. I don't know what happened but it went down hill. Food is not that great at all anymore. Also I noticed there are no long lines anymore like before. The place used to be super popular.

Well mixed reviews about silver dollar was out in the area a decided to try it I am not impressed. Sub par service and food. I was hoping for better but not the case. I order omelette and they give you the choice of pancakes in your meal so I decided that I wanted to upgrade to blueberry pancakes ..... The host was real rude and informed us that it could only be purchased with regular pancakes that if we wanted blueberry it would be charged as it's own I asked can I be charged the difference and was told not an option. Pancakes were flavor less. Large portion food was warm service was fast. Nevertheless I am not impressed will not return wait was for to long for B-C rated restaurant food. if I could do half stars I would 2.5

The only thing good here is the service we r new to the area and figured the place must be good based on reviews and how long it's open. My husband and I didn't even finish a quarter of the food the hash browns where a soggy mess and the eggs had a weird taste, and Nevermind the sausage it was definitely funky. The Swedish pancakes were super soggy I couldn't get rid of the heavy oil film on my mouth. And the biscuits and gravy were just not good at all. The place needs updating and upkeep and cleanliness for sure. For as long as it's been there I'm surprised it's still open.

RUN AWAY. The service was extremely poor. Our order was in for 30 minutes, so we asked what the status was. We were told that there were a lot of to go orders in, that they were behind. To go orders are their top priority. When our server finally came back to let us know how long it would be they hadn't even started out order and there was an order ahead of us. We ended up leaving. Now you might say well what if the food is good. It's okay. This was the second we've visited this place. That first time we ordered two steak and eggs medium rare, eggs over easy and hash browns extra extra crispy. I kid you not my steak was extremely dry and over cooked. My wife's was bloody. My egg yolks were cooked all the way through and my hash browns were mush.

This was by far the worst service experience I've ever had. The server was acting like he hated life. After I asked for an iced coffee he brought me some coffee watered down with ice. I asked for vanilla creamer and he brought me hazelnut, did not even give me a straw and walked off. Then, to top things off a homeless man walks up to our table and asks for money!! The food was good, but not worth the service.

Way over priced. Burnt toast and under cooked hash browns.Never again.

Burned toast, raw eggs, and cold bacon.... that is the only memory I will have of this place. I cannot even remember if anything else was Good or not because this became the focus of my meal.

Heard good things so I stopped by. Walked in and it smelled like BO, place looked dirty and outdated. It was crowded, I walked up to get a table, girl at the front just handed me a note book, said sign in and walked away..I got a rude vibe so I walked out. Disappointed.

Im very disappointed 😞 by the service I was given i arrived at 10am and waited patiently with my family for 30min no problem but the host sat us down in one of the windows tables of course we loved it !! But then they said that they had made a mistake for sitting us there that we had to get up and wait and sit in a different spot 🤔 I was like if it was your mistake then how are you pleasing us as clients too of course my 6 year old was so disappointed me as well we disliked like that I was really mad and left the place good thing there Dennys that has excellent service hahaha 😆 right. I really hope you don't do that to someone else ever.

Way more hype and doesn’t deliver! Ordered 20 dollar eggs and pancakes the egg portion is pathetic and food came out cold. Sent my food back because I knew it would just be sent back after being microwaved. And I’ve never seen brown beef gravy on “biscuits and gravy “
