A Most Curious Tale of Modern Nourishment: My Musings on the Establishment Known as Wendy’s Ah, Wendy’s—dearest purveyor of square-shaped patties and frost-laden confections. Permit me a moment to discourse at length, for my encounters at this establishment have been nothing short of a culinary coin toss, where each visit is a tantalizing gamble at the roulette wheel of fast-food fate. There are days, I must confess, when Wendy’s doth rise to the occasion with the splendor of a duchess at her debutante ball. The fries—crisped to golden perfection—sing harmonies of salt and satisfaction upon the tongue. The Spicy Chicken Sandwich, when prepared with care, is a rhapsody of heat and crunch that inspires sonnets. And lo! The Frosty—velvety, cold, and indulgently nostalgic—ushers one back to the sweet innocence of childhood. Yet, alas, not all visits are so felicitous. For there are occasions, regrettably not few, wherein my order hath arrived with the timing of a broken pocket watch and the accuracy of a blindfolded archer. The lettuce, limp. The bun, askew. The tomato, a soggy intruder where crispness was promised. And the service—oh heavens! Sometimes brisk and cordial, and other times delivered with all the enthusiasm of a governess forced to chaperone a late-night duel. But let us not wield the quill in cruelty. One must remember, as even the Queen is not without her bad hair days, that imperfection is a trait shared by all who walk this earthly sphere. The young lad or lass behind the counter may very well be enduring trials invisible to the eye—spilled soda in the backroom, a malfunctioning headset, or, heaven forfend, a breakless double shift. In truth, I find comfort in the unpredictability of it all. There is a certain charm, dare I say, in never quite knowing if my Baconator shall arrive with dignified grandeur or slightly askew like a tipsy earl after a wedding toast. To dine at Wendy’s, dear reader, is to partake in an adventure. A culinary masquerade ball where some nights the flavor waltzes, and others it stumbles. So, in finality, I grant thee my honest counsel: go forth with tempered expectations, an open heart, and a napkin at the ready. For even when the execution falters, the effort—however imperfect—is appreciated. And as they say in both court and cuisine: consistency is key, but grace forgives the occasional blunder. I've always encountered nice employees at this wendys and have never had any issues with the food. Food's always given warm.
The manager named Lucy and her crew did a super job preparing a large order for two bus loads of students at almost closing time! Most other fast food places usually get frustrated with such a big order and would prefer to close early just to avoid the extra work. As I watched them work,they showed great communication with each other to fill the large order. Very professional leadership and nice attention to customer service , . Highly recommend this restaurant!

It's a Wendy's..... fairly fresh...not old or sloppily prepared.. so for fast food...say 7 out of 10 for Wendys
I hadn't been inside here for a couple of years and I'm very disappointed in the choice of chairs. Those hard chairs are very uncomfortable, not to mention, ugly.
Very friendly staff ready to serve their customers. The store stays clean even though they get alot of people traveling on I 35. The food is made fresh and accurately. However, they do tend to run out of baked potatoes and some salads alot. That being said I will still return to Wendy's again.
What’s the purpose for DT? I order on the mobile app and every single time I go through DT it mainly during breakfast and lunch they are always parking the Dat line. Finally I asked why? I told I order on the app because I have a short lunch and I expect my order ready the DT person told me “well we have a timer and we are told to park everyone so the timer can be low.” Ok I get the timer but I also used to work at this same Wendy’s. I worked there when it was first opened that’s right I’m a Vet! Anyways. I told her you know when I worked here and we had timer we weren’t allowed to park unless we were literally holding on fresh product which would usually be from a lunch rush or switching over from breakfast to lunch. But the best way to beat the time is Have everything ready and learn your time peaks as too shelf life and timing! They food is always good and rarely do they mess up on my order but there service sucks!
Do NOT stop at the drive thru after 10pm. Waited in line with one car at the menu board and me. Two already ordered and was waiting at the window. How does it take 5 minutes to order and 10 minutes to get your order????? INCREDIBLE!! They have no clue on what customer service is or the sense of urgency.
Wendy's in general service wise has been going downhill, but this one is especially sorry. The staff is super nice, but service is especially slow, and the closing time being at 8pm is a bit ridiculous. But what makes that time even more ridiculous is the fact that they seem to start closing up at 7pm, with cold fries and no Frosties after that time. If the whole menu isn't available (when you have the ingredients to make the items) you shouldn't be open...
I love Wendy’s and my kids love Wendy’s but this particular one really struggles. We went through the drive thru and asked for NO Mayo on all but one sandwich. The very nice lady even repeated it back. Well, I think they gave us EXTRA Mayo! Evenhanded Mayo on it. This is just an example. Every time we go to this location they get something wrong. If I catch it while I’m there they will fix it but I’m usually already home. The staff is always friendly though.
Food and service were decent and what we expected. The only problem was that we were forced to watch FOX NEWS, and were told that the owners only permitted that channel to be viewed. I would prefer to see no TV programming instead of the TRUMP CHANNEL, also known as FOX NEWS. I'll avoid this location and probably all Wendy's in the future.
I go to this place almost EVERY DAY. The drive thru employees are very friendly and helpful. However, I went inside the restaurant yesterday to get my normal order because the drive thru was really busy. So I ask the guy if they have frostys because they sometimes shut the machine down early when it gets close closing time. I work in the food industry so I understand. Anyway, he did not respond to me, so I asked him 2 more times with no response, he was on his cell phone texting. The 4th time I asked if I could order, he said yes, made my frosty and set it down and walked off. He offered no thank you's. He was VERY rude. I normally do not review bad experiences because I know it affects the business but this was unacceptable for me. Very very rude is all I can say.
Horrible old greasy and old old food and terrible. I should report this location to the health department. It's absolutely filthy disgusting especially the restroom area. Employees do not care what you ask for and I asked repeatedly for our food to be made fresh ....it was disgusting and not edible. We had to throw it out the window on the way back to the mine to unload Frac sand. I have sent emails to corporate because they won't even answer the phone at this location. It's the worst Wendy's in the USA ......do not go here because you are going to get food so old and nasty it should have been thrown out in the dumpster and they simply don't give a damn about doing their jobs correct.
Stopped on the road to pick up something to eat. Usually Wendy's is a safe go-to when wanting something good and quick. However, this specific location with the specific person who took order and ones who cooked it failed to deliver. The person who took the order was rude and rushing my family and I, and even after being specific and getting the order repeated back, she i put it incorrectly and gave me an extra burger and charged it. We were in a rush so I didn't bother checking the receipt or cost. Upon receiving the order I noticed right away that the fries were heavily salted (i could not eat them) and I proceeded to take a bite out of my burger to which I instantly regretted. I appreciate freshly made food but the chicken was scorching hot and burned half of my tongue badly. That first bite I took released either a bunch of boiling oil or boiling juices from the chicken. It has been about 3-4 hrs now and I still cant sense my tongue well. I was Very hungry so even though I burned so badly, I waited a bit and then took a second and last bite because now it turned out the chicken was slightly undercooked. The texture seemed semi-rough and tendon-like, similar as to when things are undercooked and it also looked slightly pink. I quickly spit it out to not risk salmonella. I usually dont leave reviews, but this was a terrible experience. I recommend you to check your cooks (let the chicken cook well atleast if you will be serving it dangerously boiling) and educate people who take the orders. This could have been another case to "sue" if it was a child who got this burnt, as the burn would have been way worse on someone younger.
Traveling through Cotulla, TX and we stopped here for lunch. Food was not that hot, chili was cold. Took it back to see if they could warm it up more but they could not. We had to warm it up at the convenience store next door. Unfriendly service. No smiling people working here! Food was terrible!
Around12:45 pm I am waiting in line for quite a while with only 1 cashier taking orders and bout 8 employees and 2 managers talking away. I asked manager if they can open another cashier to take orders and manager just ignores me and walks away. Cashier still says "they can wait" like she is doing all of us a favor. So, half of the line including me walk away. Just went across the street to DQ. 💁👎
This Wendy’s has the kind of drive thru that traps you upon entering with no option for escaping a long or slow line. After being told at the speaker that I would have to order at the window, I was forced to wait twenty minutes with no option for escape. At the window, the sweaty staff told me that they only had burgers, no fries and no chicken. I assume the frying machine was broken. As my friend wanted chicken, we left without ordering. I understand that things happen and machines break, however, a sign posted before enter the drive thru telling customers about the limited minute would have been appreciated.
