Food tastes ok for me,it has a little mix for American taste. For the service staff,if she've time playing with her phone then she can spend more time taking care of the customer,her attitudes are a little bit rude.

So, first time trying out this restaurant as there's not many Chinese places in Denton. I ordered the orange peel chicken (e14) but instead got sweet sour chicken (e15). No big deal. However, even with the sauce the flavor was limited. The rice was also way overcooked to the point it really didn't seem like rice anymore. The drive thru smelled, especially when the service window was opened so that was concerning. On the bright side, service was solid. Got my food fast and the guy working the window was friendly enough.

The crab rangoons here used to be so good but over the past few months they've had less and less filling. Definitely not worth the price anymore, the last batch I ordered were almost completely flat💔

I’ve been coming here for about 10 years. There’s only two plates that I would recommend when coming here and that is the sesame chicken and the orange chicken. I believe over the years the quality of the food has gone down horrendously. For an example today I bought a Low Mein dish with mix meat meaning it comes with shrimp,chicken and beef with an up charge of I believe 13 bucks ? I’ll leave a picture below to let you see if this indeed looks like a 13 dollar plate with a lot of shrimp !

I arrived at 9:30 pm (30 before closing according to the posted signage on the establishment) and found the door to be locked and the Open sign tuned off. The guy at the cash register saw me through the window and and made 2 gestures (one pointing at the turned off open sign light to state that they are closed and the other was a shooing gesture). If you are closed at 9:30 pm then please change your signage, if not remain open until 10 pm. The hours are for letting patrons know when you are open, not for your employees to when when they can leave.

The hours of operation are incorrect. The time is exactly 9:43pm on Saturday February 21, 2026. And they were getting on there car leaving. They had already closed . Sucks because this was a 20min drive! Update your information!

Poor quality food and service. Asked for half rice half lo mein, like I always do, and was told the boss doesn’t allow that anymore? Once we got the food home we were even more disappointed and confused. Lo mein was chopped up? The fried rice completely tasteless and the first bite into the General Tso was all chicken tendon. Will not be returning due to all of the above mentioned and thought I give a heads up to others.

Me and my boyfriend went during the snow storm today, I ordered the sesame chicken and my boyfriend the bell pepper with chicken. We came back to our dorms to eat and the food tasted alright. The rice like everyone said was a bit overcooked and didn’t have any flavor at all. The sesame chicken was okay as well but I didn’t finish anything, took a few bites and gave it to my boyfriend. Few hours have passed and my boyfriend is complaining about bad stomach pain, he says it hurts so bad he can’t get up and that he needs to puke. Pretty sure this place gave my boyfriend food poisoning.

This place is horrible. The restaurant stank like hell. The food smelled rotten. The minute I brought it home my family was like what is that, why does it stank and throw it out. I'd recommend the health dept to come to inspect the freezers etc Cuz something was definitely spoiled. 0 of 10. Thank you!

This place was highly recommended to me. This place must feels dirty when you walk in. The guy at the counter was very confusing. He started having a conversation with another person while taking my order. I ordered the General Tso's chicken and egg drop soup. I got home and what I had was beef and bell pepper. The food was just OK. The egg drop soup tasted like grease. Then to top it all off, as I'm eating a scoop of rice I notice something that is obviously not rice. It was a bug... There was a dead bug in my rice...I will never again darken the door of this establishment and I would advise all others to stay away.

Food is awful. Rice pasty and dry. Eggroll tasted like vinegar and have gotten so small. Cashew chicken was so thick disgusting. Never eat here again.

This place was TERRIBLE! And completely wrong! I literally WALKED to the restaurant (which is apx. 10 minutes from my house). I AM 8 Months PREGNANT! But I really wanted this food. I got there and was having trouble with my CC, which eventually went thru. Not to lie, the guy at the front counter (says name is Daniel) was real cool. However the WiFi was down on their card machine, but let’s talk about the food….. TERRIBLE!!! I ordered General Tso and fried rice. And crab rangoons! It was ALLLLLL truly terrible! The rangoons were rubbery, the chicken tasted as if it was fried in old grease and sat all day. As did the rice. It was slightly overcooked, so mushy But Hard! I just started crying because I can not BELIEVE!! I Walked, so I decided to call. Daniel (front desk) said call back in the morning to talk to manager! Be Advised: CHECK Your Food Prior To Leaving! (And possibly MAYBE go in the morning, when management is available) Would give ZERO starts if I could! (SMH)

I ordered the garlic chicken, but what I received was a disappointing mess with no actual chicken in it. On top of that, I tried calling to report the issue, but no one picked up. This place has seriously gone downhill — the food quality is terrible, and the customer service is even worse.

I have been coming to Oriental Express for close on 7 years and this is the first time I've had this bad of a mistake I ordered 2 orders of Crab Ragoon and General Tso chicken, along with some of the churros. What I got was two full orders of sesame chicken and another to-go plate of sesame chicken the only thing right in this order was the churros The only reason in not taking it back is that it's another 20 minutes drive back to the restaurant and being that I'm already upset about the incorrect order I don't want to wait in line for 10+ minutes for a new set of food I grab this for the convenience and the decent food Please do better!

I’ve been here few times. The quality of the food is dropping day by day. They aren’t really caring about washing vegetables anymore as you can see in the picture.
