Lovely afternoon tea with granddaughter nice background music very art deco as hotel is renowned for. Shame no atmosphere as we were only people in the restaurant have plans to return on Xmas eve

Enjoyed a lovely afternoon tea. Really great atmosphere and very friendly staff. Tea, Scones, Sandwiches and cakes were deliciously soft and fresh. Will be back again for lunch.

Great food in a beautiful setting. Lovely art deco restaurant matching with the hotel. Staff are friendly, knowledgeable, and very attentive. Never had a bad experience. Gorgeous gluten free afternoon tea.

Went for birthday afternoon tea. If 3 or more are booked in the birthday guest gets theirs free within 6 days either side of their birthday. (ID needed) Great service, lovely atmosphere & food is always wonderful & plentiful. I always end up bringing some home. Been a few times & love it xx

We have just had afternoon tea the food choice was very good and fresh atmosphere and decor was wonderful , staff gave excellent service

Fabulous afternoon tea, large variety of sandwiches, savouries and cakes, more than we could manage. Very friendly, attentive and professional service from the waiter.

Had a birthday afternoon tea with six members of my family ,food was plentiful and fresh Staff were efficient and friendly ,and there was a choice of afternoon teas ,.we had 2 gluten free( this was a bonus finding these) I vegetarian ,1 savoury and 3 classics . Loved the art deco surroundings will definitely go here again

Very friendly and attentive service and a great vegetarian gluten free afternoon tea. After the sandwiches and scones I had no room for the cakes so they very kindly offered me a takeaway box to take them home in!

I dropped a star on atmosphere only because it was quiet which is not their fault. Otherwise, great place.

The cafe was almost empty, the staff very helpful, as it had been my birthday iwas given a slice of cake

These would have been all 5 stars if my order had been completely correct and the music slightly quieter. Even though I wasn't a resident one of the lifts was out of order a concern for anyone with mobility issues.

I really liked it. The decor is fabulous and the food was really good. I couldn't believe how empty it was for a Friday lunchtime. They definitely need better marketing as this place is a gem.

This café bar is situated inside The Earl of Doncaster hotel. We had Christmas Afternoon tea which was nice but not worth the £5 difference to their standard afternoon tea. They were quite busy and we were off to one side on a slightly raised area, even though the waiters had to pass our table to enter the kitchen, we had to shout to get their attention when we needed more tea etc. There is limited parking behind the hotel and the main eating area is wheelchair accessible. None of our party were vegetarian but I am sure there was a vegetarian alternative tea.

Had a nice 3 course lunch with coffee & mince pie £22.95. Sweet potato soup a bit peppery for my taste & restaurant was a bit chilly for me but the salmon & cheesecake were delicious & table dressed beautifully. Staff very efficient & helpful.

This restaurant is amazing its like stepping back in time to the art deco period.The food is delicious and served by very hospitable staff.

Beautiful surroundings, excellent service. Was disappointed with my Hunters chicken as they didn't supply a side dish, no garden peas no coleslaw. Meal was dry and at £13:50 for afternoon lunch I found this expensive.

Had a drink with work colleagues. Very nice and bar staff were great.

Absolutely disgusting me my four-year-old son walked in He is a very fussy eater and I requested some pasta to be taken away and was told no kids tonight
