There's only so many times I can recommend this place without annoying people. I'm SHOCKED that this place isn't fully booked up for months, but I'm glad it's still accessible. We go for every birthday and special occasion, and this time we went just for a Sunday dinner becasue it's so delicious. The food, the drinks, the menu options, and the service is all flawless, thank you!
The whole experience was superb, friendly professional staff, wonderful atmosphere, great drinks, but the food, the food is off the charts. Forget the run of mill Steak House chain places, the steak just melts, the lamb as soft as you like, those meat parcels, every element was just spot on. Can not thank you enough for a wonderful evening.
Came here for a family birthday and was absolutely amazing. Lovely food, fantastic and friendly service (even on a busy Friday night with lots of big tables) very impressive! Prices on the higher side, but the food is amazing quality and perfectly cooked. Will definitely reccomend for a special night out 💖
First time visiting and wow it did not disapoint!!! We went for the Sunday lunch menu and it all came hot and was just absolutely delicious! No complaints from us, and the deserts were just as good! The staff were friendly and met our needs, the at no was peaceful and perfect for the setting! We even got a free shot when we paid, reminded me of when we were on holiday 2 years ago in Greece and they give you free shots there. I also had 2 mocktails and they were so tasty! Can't wait to come back and give the steaks a try!
Was definitely 5 star in terms of quality, quantity, and service... very nice place to eat, food was cooked perfectly, portions were great, we had loaded nachos, tomato chiabattas mains where st Sirloin steak cooked medium rare with fries with garlic and partisan topping, I had a beef brisket in a tomato based sauce with asparagus and creamy mash. Side order of halloumi.... We had to take some home with us as we could not manage it all..... Never had room for pudding. Will be returning in the future for further meals here as it was delightful and within 30 minutes of our house.. 5 star Well recommended I have included photos below
Lovely place, warm and cosy. Pretty decor and lighting, celebrating my birthday. As we arrived all the staff wished me a happy birthday. Very friendly attentive service, without being rushed. An in house magician wandered amongst the tables, keeping you entertained whilst your meal is being prepared. All the meals were served hot and were cooked to perfection and decent sized potions. 1 steak, 1 belly pork and a slow cooker beef in wine sauce. I would definitely recommend. If you have any room left, the generously portioned Bailey's cheesecake or the churros and sauce are delicious. Altogether a very pleasant evening. Thank you to all the staff.
Visited La Boca this evening to celebrate our wedding anniversary, our first visit and can honestly say it will NOT be our last . The food was incredible, the staff are so generous and attentive, giving little touches that meant a lot , anniversary drinks etc . Nothing was too much for them and we genuinely felt as though we were the only people in there. Cannot recommend this restaurant and the staff enough. Well done to you all for making our Anniversary even more special. Thank you Thank you Thank you Neil & Wendy
Fabulous lunch. Went for by husband birthday and thoroughly enjoyed every bite of our food. The chicken wings were possibly the best ones I've ever eaten. You can really tell they care about putting out well cooked tasty food.
Food is so good, staff were so friendly, didn’t wait long at all for food, and portion sizes were great. 10/10 lovely place.
Absolutely delicious dishes! The seafood risotto was exquisite! It had an amazing aftertaste that enticed my senses! The chimichurri shrimps were full of flavour as well. The house wine was vibrant and was the perfect pair for the food. The ambiance was very pleasant and the booths are such a great touch,it offered a bit of intimacy.Sumon was very professional and made us feel welcome.
Had a fantastic night at La Boca! The food was absolutely delicious, the cocktails were perfectly made, and to top it off we got to enjoy a brilliant magic show. The atmosphere was lively and welcoming, and the whole experience felt special from start to finish. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a fun evening out with great food and entertainment!
If you want a great meat dish and have money to spare, this restaurant could be a good choice. We ordered nachos as a starter and asked for extra brisket on top. It was a very good choice. The main course was truly legendary. The meat was cooked to perfection and was very juicy. Unfortunately, the desserts were weak, but we can overlook that :)
We are regulars at La Boca, our recent visit was Saturday we absolutely adore the food , the fillet steak is amazing! Cooked exactly how we like. Infact the lovely staff know what we have without having to order it, they are all so happy, extremely polite and always there to assist, nothing is too much trouble. The atmosphere is always nice 😊 10/10 always. A Magnificent Magic man who is there weekends visits your table after you order your food & after eating doing some amazing tricks , gets us every time, laughter & amazed ! Ps puddings are gorgeous & always look beautiful! See you soon Ian & Jayne.

Where do I start. Me and my mum visited on Sunday evening for the first time. Wow! The staff, the food, that atmosphere all spectacular. The STEAK, was the best steak we've had in a long time and I told the waitress this. The drinks we had was incredible. Everything about this place is beautiful. Will absolutely be returning & i will tell everyone about this place. Hidden gem ❤️❤️
Visited on a Sunday lunch time and the food was outstanding. Generous portions, well seasoned and fabulous service. Most importantly for me, the staff were very accommodating to my dairy allergy and the chef even stated again that my food was dairy free as he brought the food which was very reassuring. We will definitely be visiting again.
Absolutely fantastic restaurant - we've been several times over the past few years now, and can't recommend it highly enough. The food, the staff, the atmosphere - always superb. They really go the extra mile too if there for an occasion; just let them know beforehand, and they'll help to make it a truly special experience. Fantastic!!
Literally gave birth to my baby and first thing I wanted to eat was the nachos :D On a separate occasion come to the restaurant Lovely place, had nachos as a starter had plenty of toppings on and the tortilla chips were amazing which made the dish stand out from other places. The seafood main was really flavourful and good portion. Beef risotto was a nice surprise as it was really delicious. Will definitely be back :)
Absolutely fantastic place. The food was exceptional. Brilliant experience & will definitely be returning as the food was outstanding 👌
So delicious food, we was impressed by the friendly and attentive service. Our waiter was knowledgeable about the menu and made excellent recommendations. Overall, we had a fantastic dining experience at La Boca. The food, service, and atmosphere are all top-notch. I will definitely be back soon! Thank you. P.S we get it Prosecco from staff for our anniversary as a gift 🤩
Had a brilliant evening at this Argentinian gem! The ribeye was cooked beautifully—juicy, flavourful, and exactly what you’d hope for from a proper steakhouse. The Malbec was a great match, rich and smooth without overpowering the food. The chimichurri was fantastic—zesty and vibrant—but the portion was on the small side. The rustic fries were absolutely spot on: crispy on the outside, fluffy inside. And the bone marrow gravy? Rich, indulgent, and totally delicious. But the real standout of the night was our waitress, Alessia. Warm, attentive, and genuinely lovely—she made the whole experience feel special from start to finish. Thank you for a fantastic evening. We’ll definitely be back!
The mrs took.me for my birthday and im glad she did 5 stars
First time went to La Boca Restaurant and I loved it 😍 The food was delicious, staff were very nice, atmosphere is lovely and the food came quick. I would definitely come back and I recommend it for everyone.
The best steakhouse in Doncaster would highly recommend to anyone who hasn't been. Brilliant cocktails also thier own larger is great too. Amazing service, all waiters and waitresses were very attentive, friendly.
Just wow! I have not had a meal this good for years! I have already been recommending la Boca to others. Lively atmosphere on a Friday night which is nice. Staff are very attentive, you are not waiting long for food or drinks. Cocktails in zombie glasses 🤣 Huge portions of food with attention to detail on the flavours. Vegetarian option was superb and we will definitely be returning!!!!
We were going to another restaurant that we know but it shut early so we did a quick Google search and found this place which wasn't far away. I love the decor and the atmosphere of the restaurant and the staff were very polite and friendly. The food is also very nice and I definitely agree with the great reviews.
Had an amazing meet up with the girls from school here. The staff were amazing & nothing was too much trouble. We caused quite a havoc but they took it in there stride. Food was amazing. Definately recommend & will be back again & again
Wow!!! First visit to La Boca and cannot wait to go back. Amazing food, wonderful attentive staff who are extremely comfortable having a laugh with customers. Best restaurant I've been to in a long time. Highly recommended a visit here.
Great Argentinian steak restaurant, good selection of starters and mains, cocktails beers and wines. The steaks were all cooked perfectly for our 7 person party, the chicken burger main was really moist and tasty, empinadas were lovely. Service was excellent, fast, friendly, attentive and professional. Prices were very reasonable and we all had a great night.
Wow!!! I wasn't expecting the standard of food i got. Me and 2 friends went through recommendation and so pleased we did. The mixed grill was out of this world. Lamb chops were cooked to perfection, crispy on the outside but so tender. The chicken wings.... well! The rite amount of flavour a touch of heat but not to much. These chorizo things i dont even know what they were nor do i the skewer but they were outstanding. The sirloin was cooked to perfection. All three of us got a different sauce and all loved the one we each got. My pal got halloumi with his dish and give me 1! Best ive had ever. The 3 of us couldn't believe how good the food was.
Had a meal here today and it was absolutely amazing. All food was fresh, portions were plentiful and the service was fantastic. Would definitely go again.
Superb steak great service and cold beer 👌
Great food, great atmosphere. Would go again if i went back to Doncaster. The Christmas cocktailist was fantastic and the bar staff making them were very friendly.
We visited on a Saturday night for my boyfriend’s birthday. We booked a table online. We came via car, very easy to get to off the motorway. We parked at the Markets car park which was only £1 for the evening which was very good value. It was around a 2 min walk. Inside the restaurant it’s nicely decorated and clean. There are some steps up to the restaurant which may be useful for some to know. We ordered a Risotto con Carne & a Plato de La Boca (mixed grill). The meals came very fast, maybe 10 minutes after ordering. I had the risotto which was really nice and a big portion. It was very cheesy and I would say it did get sickly towards the end. The selling point of my risotto was that it was topped with steak. I was disappointed this was 4 tiny well-done pieces of steak (one of which was just pure gristle), which were very chewy and I ended up leaving. I was shocked as they looked very tender, so this was a big let down, especially as this dish was almost £30. The garlic ciabatta that came with the dish was very nice. My boyfriend had the mixed grill. He also said his steak was not the best and was disappointed. He asked for medium rare, but the steak was very well done. He did not bring this up to staff though, so we appreciate no option to correct was given. He said the rest of the meats were nice, but the chorizo did have lots of very hard bone-like chunks in it which I wasn’t a fan of. I will say the chips were lovely and we both agreed they were the best part of the meal. We shared churros for desert which were quite nice. The staff came over with a complimentary brownie and sang happy birthday to my boyfriend which was nice- they did it for lots of people they groups too whilst we were there and l, so nice to know they have an option for special occasions. Staff were very attentive and hard working. Can’t fault the service at all in the restaurant! Our bill came to £95 for 1 Pepsi, 1 larger, 2 mains & 1 dessert + 10% service charge. Overall I would definitely recommend a trip. It’s definitely on the more pricy side, but nice food. If I returned again I would order a straight steak off the menu, as I don’t feel the quality of the steak on the mixed grill & risotto was very good, so don’t feel we had the best steak experience. I won’t rush back though in all honesty, especially as we travelled quite far.
If you want meat, you should come to this restaurant and give it a try. The prices are quite reasonable, and the food is tasty. The cocktails are very good — we especially liked the piña colada and ordered it twice. The atmosphere is a bit loud, so it’s not the best place for a quiet, intimate conversation, but it’s still quite cozy.
Having been told about how great La Boca is, and then being given a voucher for Christmas, we just had to give this place a try. We were greeted by a nicely designed, warm restaurant which had a lovely atmosphere. We were visiting on a Tuesday and there was a healthy amount of diners in which is always a good sign. We were greeted and seated very quickly and drinks ordered. We were pleased to see a good range of mocktails available for us non-drinkers and got an order of non-alcoholic Pina Colada's on the go whilst we perused the menu. Elina introduced herself as our server and even offered to take a photo of us which was a great personal touch. She also enquired about whether we were celebrating too. Our drinks arrived quickly and were tasty and a good size. Our orders were taken and Elina advised us of general cook times, as the pork belly takes 30 minutes which allowed us to add a shared starter to tide us over whilst we waited, again a nice touch. Our starter, nachos, arrived quickly, piping hot, with plenty of vibrant colour from the toppings! Over all a very generous portion, considering we went for the small, and packed full of flavour with a perfect topping to nacho ratio! Between our starter and main, a pallet cleanser of a lemon sorbet was brought to the table which again is a really nice touch. Our mains were quick to follow and were beautifully presented. The pork belly had crispy crackling and tender meat, seated on lusciously creamy mash and a rich hearty gravy/sauce. It was delicious! M's lamb shank was also so tender and flavourful, with the rich jus adding a punch of extra flavour on the side. We ordered a side of Mac & cheese and with the powerful flavours from our main, the cheesiness was lost in the Mac and cheese and tasted a bit on the mellow side. I'd recommend adding some more punch of cheese to the Mac and cheese to allow it a better chance of standing up there with the powerful flavours of the mains. By the end of our mains we were both stuffed and were unable to go for a dessert. Our bill was brought with a small chocolate treat, we paid and were on our way happy and full! Overall, I would 100% recommend la Boca for a great meal out. It's clear that attention to detail is key and the staff, especially Elina, made the whole experience enjoyable. We will return again!
The seating wasn't the best and you could hear all conversations around you. I wouldn't recommend going here if you are large or in a wheel chair as I'd imagine people would be knocking into you if you're not against the wall. The steak was cooked to perfection, the only downside was the additional pieces that come with the steak. I'd consider changing those or presenting them better. The chicken wings were great, I highly recommend them if you're a fan of chicken on the bone. I saw a lot of burgers being served and they looked really good! I'd consider going for a burger as they looked stacked and more appealing.
Best steak I've had in a while. Dropped a star because they add a service charge, I didn't realise it till I paid. This is not the USA.
Good but not great. We came here after recommendations from free press. I think cost to value whenever I have food The steak very good but not miller's and carter excellent. Chicken burger was not surprising, you can get better from a local takeaway. Service is a bit too run around make you feel uncomfortable and rushed. I really It was good but not worth £55 for 2 people with 10.01pc service charge.
I phoned earlier in the week to book a table for Saturday evening at 8.30pm fof 4 people. We arrived at 8.30pm to find the bar area packed with lots of people waiting. We were offered a table in the bar area at 8.45pm, but declined it due the proximity and large number of people amassed around the table. We were told that we would have to wait longer if we wanted a table inside the restaurant. We finally got served at the bar at 8.55pm, and shown to our table at 9.15pm. We ordered a variety of appetizers, starters & main courses. However, more confusion when the starters arrived before the appetizers! We questioned it, the waitress disappeared into the kitchen and then returned with the same starters and we were told they would all be served together! However, the appetizer sharing platter didn't appear until the starters were all consumed! We asked for some water for the table, it didn't arrive and we had to ask again for some. We were served the lemon sorbet palate cleanser, and then our main courses arrived. All the food was outstanding and we thoroughly enjoyed it. When our bill arrived, the manager i believe it was, came over to apologise for the poor service, and had omitted one of the appetizers from the bill as a goodwill gesture. This was welcomed although we hadn't asked for it. We suggested they take less bookings in future and concentrate on delivering better service to their customers, as the food itself is delicious. I would visit again, but perhaps think twice about going on a busy weekend evening unless you're prepared to wait.
Our first visit here to celebrate my 70th birthday. The restaurant has a lovely, warm feel about it and the staff were equally warm and attentive. However, neither one of us was blown away by the food. It was ok but not outstanding or worthy of the large bill paid. We both agreed that the sauces on both our main courses, ( I had blue cheese and my partner had sauce with her sea bass), let down the dishes. Either too much cream and little flavour for the fish course or not enough depth to the blue cheese sauce. We never complained at the time as it would have tarnished, what was otherwise, a lovely birthday. The food should match the bill and we found the food lacking for the cost.
Came here for Christmas dinner again this year. Food was great but we was rushed to get out this year. Seated near the door people turning up cramped at the bar forced into our seating area. Which made us uncomfortable. Then told after dessert they needed our table and had 15 mins but brought the bill within minutes after telling us. We felt like we had to rush our drinks to get out the way. Was thinking about bringing my parents with us next year but might look elsewhere
