Tip: Consider dining in to avoid issues with missing items or incorrect orders. Be aware that the bread may not always be toasted to your liking, so you may need to request it be toasted twice.

This was so much better than Subway, not that subway's is bad. This was like a fastball vs a curve ball. I had thier original sandwich large and it was so good. Ate half that night and finished the second half the next day. Loved the bread, loved the sandwich. I will definitely be going back!!!
Great Food and service! The Young lady that works in front at nights took my order she said shes only been working there about a month. She was very kind. I go in there alot she always has a positive attitude. She always ask if we need anything else, When she brings the food out. I recommend this restaurant to everyone!
This Elgin location has seemingly not let the pandemic or "labor shortages" slow them down one bit. I stop there practically every week and the service and food never disappoint. We appreciate them and their delicious offerings so much! Plenty of vegetarian and carnivorous options too.
I grew up with the original Schlotzsky's in Austin. Loved it!! The chain thing happened, and I was seriously disappointed. You know, "You can't go home". Well, today I had an amazing experience. An Original that was original!! My son had the turkey and avocado. Both sandwiches were delicious!! Confess to having a tear in my eye. Just like old times ✅
Best Schlotzsky’s in Texas hands down! I travel all over the state and Schlotzsky’s is one of my favorite places.. the Congress Shop was the best until current manager at Elgin made some changes. The drive through host is clearly service focused with great customer experience skills. My sandwiches are always great and just like I want them. Today my wife stopped by on the way home and she too was greatly impressed with the friendly service this branch has. Again the food was a perfect accent to the great experience! Kudos to the team in Elgin’s Schlotzsky’s
Wow!!! What a great surprise to see the new and improved Schlotzsky's! The menu even includes gluten-free options for pizza crust and sandwiches! For my first time back in almost 20 years I had the chicken pesto Pizza on gluten free crust and it was fabulous! They have so many healthy offerings as well as classic sandwich shop menu items. They still have their yummy sandwich bread and the service was great! It's fun to see a chain like this get so smartly and I believe successfully updated.
Ms. Carol and her staff made a mistake on our order . And didn't hesitate one bit to correct. Awesome staff very friendly and understanding. We love stopping at this location is very convenient. And great staff.
LOVE this place!! Usually hit the drive thru kind of late, they are always pretty fast, extremely polite, and occasionally funny. God forbid I bring my Rodeo Clown Bestie with me, I think his jokes traumatize them sometimes!! Food is outstanding whether its to go or eat in. Very clean inside.
The young people running that place tonight were wonderful. Our food was great, made quickly, and the employees were so nice. Great place to go!
Manager helped me tonight, and was very friendly. Thank you ❤️
Stopped into this place to try their food as I have never taken time to really eat here. Was pleasantly surprised at how clean this place is. The staff is really friendly and knowledgeable about their product and how to treat customers. They all have a really upbeat attitude and seem to enjoy working there. Would highly recommend.
This is my favorite Schlotzskys. People were friendly, food was fresh, tables were clean. Restroom wasn't the best I've seen, but it was clean. Everything was great!
I stopped in for lunch and Lakenya was a delight. She greeted me quickly and was so friendly and went out of her way to make sure I had a great experience. Fantastic customer service is a dying art, and this woman is a pro!
I don’t know who’s running this new Schlotzsky’s, but it is way better than it was before. The food is good and has improved. The service is impeccable. I really enjoy going here now, and I hope that he continues to be a great place to take my family and myself. Also shout out to that one girl who is really kind and seems really professional she’s usually working the front inside - love her she’s so good at customer service.
Food was great, however when I ordered through app, it was supposed to be for pickup at the drive-thru. Instead, I had to go inside and pick it up, not to mention wait for it to be made. Hello, that's why I used the app for in the 1st place. I would know when it was ready and could pick it up at my leisure, in the option I wanted. If I had wanted to go inside and order, I wouldn't had used the app.
Tried the new cheese sandwich and the new macaroni and cheese. I didn't like either one of them, but other than that, I've never had a bad meal and the people in the store were fantastic. They took great care of me, helped me out, and I really appreciate that, and it's not their fault. They just had to cook what they were sent. All the other sandwiches i've ever had there are great...
Great experience with my kids. They loved the pizzas and cookies!! Oh and the Mac and cheese! I enjoyed the Cesar salad.
Schlotzsky's is my all time favorite sandwich. They made it exactly like I asked which is always appreciated.
Store was clean and the smell of sweet rolls filled the air. Staff was friendly and service was fast
Customer service in the Elgin area has been very poor for a while now, but Shariah Warfield changed that for me this afternoon! I usually get my Pastrami and Swiss on Rye, but lately they have been without Rye bread. So I bit the bullet, and got it on Sourdough bread because either way it is still delicious! Long story short. The Dijon Mustard used for the pastrami and Swiss was recently changed to some weird seed spread. All in all Shariah was attentive and had a superb attitude. Keeping a high sense of professionalism, and getting me the right sandwich to substitute for my Pastrami. Thank you Shariah for the best customer service I've encountered in quite some time! *Pictured is the Pastrami sandwhich*
Came here for a quick bite on our way out of town. I have always preferred Schlotsky's over any sandwich place. Something about that warm sourdough. I love that they have SO MANY choices now. I haven't had anything bad yet. This particular location was clean, bright and well stocked. Newly remodeled and service was good. Parking seemed a bit on the small side but I was there at an off time so I wasn't affected.
Always good food. Bathrooms usually need attention. I eat in and drive through equally. Staff is not that friendly, but they have always been efficient which is more important to me. My order is always right and it is fulfilled correctly.
Food is nice, meaning its clean, fast, and consistent in taste. I tend to go here versus other sub shops in the area as it's ingredients are better in quality then the other chain sub shops. Right now, 4/29/22, the shop is closed because of lack of staff.
I'm not sure if the employees are goofing off or if they think the people with me are funny? Everytime we go through the drive thru theyre always laughing when they answer, and then once we get to the window, they're still laughing. Makes us feel like not coming back, but this is the closes location to us. On the positive side, the food is always hot, and correct.
I eat at Schlotzsky’s often, as it’s one of the few faster food chains with gluten free options. I would have given them 5 stars, but this store is very inconsistent. Sometimes the sandwich is delicious, with adequate toppings and sauce; other times the sandwich is really not very good. Unfortunately with some regularity, their cashiers seem to be undertrained and redeeming offers or codes is hit or miss. On more than one occasion I’ve been told they couldn’t redeem my code for some reason or, worse, they act like they did and I only find out later when I look at my receipt do I find out they didn’t.
All of the lights were off and they were cleaning up inside an hour before they were supposed to close. We waited at the drive through for a minute then someone took our order. Food took forever to come out, but was hot and delicious. Kinda weird experience, but overall happy I got my food.
Great customer service, my sandwich was OK. Maybe my taste buds are out growing the sandwich, or they are not making it the same because this was my second location within a month and I wasn't excited about my sandwich 🙃
Great sandwiches and the service is most helpful. It's a more healthy and more filling alternative to fast food. The best part is that these sandwiches can be reheated and keep that great taste. The pizzas sold here are no ordinary pizzas, they are a delicious alternative to your basic pizza, the use of no sauce make them fundamentally different experience to be sought for.
Ayo this review is strictly for the food I got today. Whoever was in the kitchen making my French dip and loaded baked potato soup deserves a bonus/raise. That was by far the best food I've ever had from this restaurant. They actually put the onions on my sandwhich vs in the soup like yall have always done. Kudos to nameless stranger. My reality was brightened today thanks to you
Ordered medium original with chips and tea. Sandwich was perfect, nice and warm.. bread perfect. Tea fresh and very good. The lady taking orders was very friendly and pleasant. Only reason didn't give 5 is because I had also gotten an Cinnabon roll. Didn't taste fresh and was on the dry, over baked side. Will be back forsake! Just skip the roll.
Stopped here on my way to Houston. Sandwiches were great. We ordered a cinnamon roll it wasn't placed in our bag so about 10 mins down the road we realized it wasn't in our bag, turned around to get it but when we got it, it was the driest & oldest cinnamon roll I've ever had. Tastes days old and had no icing. Was so excited to have a Cinnabon cinnamon roll to only be left with a bad taste in my mouth.
I never have issues normally at this location. But I ordered to giant Chicken bacon smoked cheesys, no Chipotle mayo add honey mustard. Got home to two beef ones and there was no sauce. Not a fan of beef tried to call since Saturday no answer.
We catered for our film production crew here 3 times over the weekend. There initially was mistakes made but the owner Luke really took initiative to solve our issues for us. We still had some small mistakes in our orders but overall I can tell they are trying to succeed and serve the customer. There is something about the bread, it's not always toasted correctly, I'm not fully sure, but it did taste different on different days. I got the service I needed and they genuinely seemed to want to help, maybe just need more time for training and adjustment. I hope they succeed,I like the franchise. Thanks again Luke and good luck man. We would cater again as the price is very affordable for the amount.
Looks old and dirty on the outside Old and smelly on the inside but friendly service and good food and treats
Third trip, last two we asked to have the bread run through the oven twice because of past experiences with soft bread on an original sandwich. Here we are again giving it one more chance because I respect individually owned businesses. This was the last trip and last benefit of the doubt. Bread was so soft it was almost dough, definitely not double baked. No clue why this place can't make it in Elgin but hey...the reviews should be enough of an eye opener to the owners. To think I could be across the street at Southside...ugh.
Waited for like 5 minutes to have order taken then over 10 minutes for them to make 1 sandwich with no one else in line. The sandwich wasn't terrible though.
Ordered online. My fault for not checking the order but how hard is it to read. Only 1 order with no tomatoes, no mustard or no mayo. No matter how many times you tell them in person or online, it's like a refusal to listen or read.
My family stopped by here to grab dinner and the experience wasnt that great. The food was good and the staff member that brought the food was nice and pleasant but the two people taking the order seemed to need some training. We noticed on the receipt we were charged for something we didn't ask for and when I told them, they seemed to stare at me with a blank look. They corrected the issue on the food but still charged me for the upgrade we didn't ask for and asked they remove. They really need to have a screen showing what you are ordering cause this could have been prevented. Disappointed as this would be a decent location to stop at.
Nothing to complain about the food but the restaurant itself seems run-down. They're always slow due to being understaffed. The wonderful older lady at the counter does her best. The younger staff are rude and can't be bothered. The mens restroom was filthy, felt like I was walking into a restroom in an abandoned house. Don't know how this place has 4 stars, seems like it's badly managed.
I have eaten here several times with no issues up until today. I waited at the drive through for 5 minutes trying to get someones attention. No one came so I went inside. Not the best customer service but I ordered a BBQ chicken pizza and I took it home and was late for a meeting cause I waited 20 minutes and it was so salty I could not eat it. Now I will eat there again I hope this one experience was just a bad day.
Especially at restaurants and fast food. Orders should be repeated back to customers to make sure they got what we want. Especially when they don’t have a screen so we can check our self
Love the food! But service here is horrible. Just got my order. Got home before I realized I was missing my cinnamon roll (my mistake I guess). Drove all the way back to get said roll. Only one person acknowledged me (unfortunately didn’t get her name), and the gentleman at the counter said not a single word to me after I explained I was missing the roll. Not a single word. He grabbed the roll, dropped it, grabbed another, packaged it, handed it to me, and walked away. I let the kind lady mopping the floor know how I appreciated her acknowledgment and that she knew her job. Not my first instance with bad service. Unfortunately the food is still good, and the second closest store is 45 minutes away. Edit: just got home with my roll. It’s cold.
The food is decent but this location is so slow and not personable. They take forever and don’t seem to care. Have been here multiple times and it’s always the same
I thought it was an actual deli. Definitely not a traditional deli.
This location just needs to close or get thier act together. Every time we go there, people dont know what they are doing, something broke or menu item not available. For 1 small basic sandwhich and 1 large sandwhich cost $20! Not worth it. We need better from Elgin restaurants.
Ordered online to save time. Missing a complete sandwich. Tried to call to say I’m coming back to get said sandwich. Out of the 5 people there not ONE picked up the phone. And the response to making the missing sandwich was less than quick. We had a place to be and are now late. This is why we hardly eat here.
The service here was awful. The menu sign was broken. The ice machine was broken. I probably won't go again. The manager needs to update things so people will enjoy coming to this store. The only good thing they had going for them was a good employee who served us. After several employee ignored us another employee came on shift by 2. She was very friendly. That's why I gave such a low review. The Bastrop place is way better! Never go here. Better service & store in Bastrop.
Terrible customer service. I was waiting at the front for probably 10 minutes. Some guy walked up front twice, and both times I asked him to get someone to help me. He said okay, but no one ever came back. I finally had to call to the woman working the drive thru. When someone finally came to check me out, they were just rude. I was sitting down eating my food, and a few minutes later I saw the same thing happen to another lady. No one would come to help her. Would not recommend this location.
This Schlotzkys in Elgin Tx has really gone down hill...is just horrible now !! Zero ⭐️'s It usta be our Fav. Food tastes like, been sitting under lites, bread is tough, service is so-so & the whole place is dingy inside & out !! So NOT appealing !! YUK No Thank you, won't be going back !!
Absolutely unacceptable...They have never gotten my order right. I am no longer a schlotzsky’s customer. I don’t know why I even bothered ordering...they will just put whatever they want to into the bag. Order a sandwich and like it? Good, enjoy because they will never make it that way again. They really do just make the sandwiches anyway they want and to hell with the directions. Have fun ordering things that will never make it into the bag...I’ve wasted so much money on items never received. I’m done...if they can’t follow simple directions on how a SANDWICH is made I have no confidence they can follow the directions on washing their hands correctly. Eat at your own risk.
Ordered online for my order to be ready at 1pm. Got in the drive thru at 12:55. 25 minutes later and I haven’t even made it to the window. There are too many other fast food restaurants in this town to wait this long. Completely ridiculous.
This schlotzskys was terrible. The service was eh, the workers were acting as if we weren’t in the establishment. Everything was dirty, as well as poor quality. Both our orders had mustard covering the bread, and we said something about it as neither of us ordered it, and it just became a complication. Mustard handprints on food that wasn’t supposed to have it isn’t very acceptable. It wouldn’t have been a problem if they had been kind enough to help
My husband and I stopped for cinnamon rolls, worst customer service. He received a cold Cinnabon, when he asked for pecans she threw them a big container and said you can decide on which Cinnabon you want to add them too. SMH 🤦🏾♀️. Then she proceeded to say because he bought a 2 pack they couldn't be placed in 2 separate boxes, the company doesn't allow that. My personal opinion is that she didn't want to be there or doesn't care for her job I'm sure both!
Went through drive through i guess the girl taking orders couldnt hear real well. Had to repeat it twice and practically yell at her. When i got tothe window she was repeating my order and I had to lean out the window to hear her. Order was wrong so i repeated it two more times. Was in a hurry so I didnt double check the order when I got it. My mistake. Of course it was wrong. The girl working the register didnt seem to care about her job and seemed anoyed when I told her the order was wrong. Wont be back.
Took over 30 minutes sitting in the drive-through then when I get up there they didn't even have my order right, The guy that was working the window thought they're incompetence was funny. The car behind me just kept driving didn't even stop at the window. I should have checked all the bad reviews on this place before I went there, I will never go back. I can now see why scholtzsk's Corp is struggling, Running your establishments with employees like this you will be out of business soon.
How is it you take forever to take an order at the drive through and forever to get 1 sandwich to the customer at the window only to get the order wrong. And this isn’t the first time either! Ordered a deluxe original and got a small turkey original smh….
We went in on a Friday evening for dinner. We ordered and waited for 20 minutes for our food then I went to see if there was a problem. The young lady said it would be right out but it wasn’t. We decided after 30 min we had waited long enough. We asked for a refund of our bowl of soup and salad. She said she would have to check and again we waited approx another 15 minutes. Another young lady came out, never looked at us and said I don’t know how to give a refund. She proceeded to make a call, then she did something with the register and said “there is your refund.” I called the location in Bastrop to make a complaint and was told the “manager” would call me back. I never got that call nor did we get our refund of 17.30. I called the corporate office and was told the owner would contact me, that never happened and again still no refund. We even went in the location in Elgin again a week later to ask the manager for our refund and was told there was no manager there. Bad service and they keep your money! Not good business practices. I will make a formal complaint with the BBB due to never getting our refund.
This is the worst schlotzsky’s ever. I eat at quite a few all over Austin and surrounding areas but living close it’s convenient but never again. Went by about a month ago ordered a pizza and 2 sandwiches chips and drinks, came home with 2 incorrect sandwiches and 1 correct pizza. 2 weeks ago again ordered a pizza, sandwich and salad, got home no salad. Tonight ordered 3 sandwiches, got home 2 sandwiches completely wrong. $48.00 a pop average. Nope never again. Employees haven’t got a clue.terrible management. Hopefully this one will close down.
Very poor customer service today They didn’t greet or say hello They just said you know what you want You ready What you need I still decided to order I gave them a chance Then he went back from the register to make my food Never washed his hands just grabbed gloves I decided to give him a chance but then he grabbed his headset which was in his hair then touched my food . That’s when I canceled and got a refund Won’t be back!
I've been to some great Schlotzsky's, but this isn't one of them. We sat in the drive thru for a solid bit before someone came to the intercom. They forgot half of our order when we got to the window, took forever and a day for the food to come out. And then we get home and realized how stingy they are with the meat. Plus our sandwiches weren't hot and the cheese wasn't even melted. Definitely not going to be frequenting this place.
Waited 45 minutes. There was one other person in the dine in. The staff obviously didn't care. Finally got the food and left. Ordered a large original with no onion and it was piled with onions and soggy. Completely disgusting. 30 something dollars for our order and I had to throw away. Already late because I had to wait so long and no time to take it back. I won't be back to this store until it changes drastically. It use to be really good.
The service here is always slow. I would recommend going to the Bastrop location or any other location nearby. I ordered an Avocado Turkey sandwich and nothing was in it but lettuce and turkey. The manager, Kirsten avoided me for a few weeks as I was trying to get a simple refund. One of the franchise owners reached out to me finally to process the refund. I will not be returning to this location ever again.
We ordered through Uber, immediately noticed and started to check the rest. We ordered a sandwich, 3 pizzas, 1 flat bread, a chicken Greek salad with extra dressing, 2 chips, and 2 drinks. All of this added up to $113.19 not including the delivery fee and driver tip which totaled $170. We were missing 1 drink, the extra dressing, 1 Meaty pizza, and 2 of the other pizzas arrived as a flatbread. Even though I ordered through Uber to have delivered for a reason, I went up there to get it fixed. The girl at the register was very nice and we worked it out. Another girl came out about 10-15 minutes later with a flatbread (which I had asked if I could buy because my flatbread was now cold since I had to come up there and she didn’t charge me), a pizza, and a Greek salad. So I asked where the rest of the missing items were and I had to wait another 10 minutes 2 other pizzas to come out. Then I had to remind them again about the extra dressing and missing drink. I actually asked for a partial refund to make up the difference for the mistakes when the “fix” came out the first time and was told that they don’t do refunds so that’s when I told them to go ahead and fix the rest. This was an absolute disaster for food that wasn’t even hot by the time I got it back home.
Our first and last time at the restaurant. We ordered online at 7:30 pm, on a Friday night. Their advertised close time was 9:30 pm. When we arrived, waited in the drive through line, because their lobby was closed. At 8:15pm a lady came out and informed us she closed 5 mins earlier, hadn’t made the food, and promised to refund our money, but couldn’t give us a receipt for the refund. If your hours have changed it takes 30 seconds to update them on Google. Unacceptable. If you can no longer take orders and fill them before you close, stop taking orders. Unacceptable. If you have already taken peoples money and you refuse to give service for the items purchased, you better provide some proof you have not given the service paid for. Unacceptable. If you cannot staff your restaurant on a Friday night. Pull the franchise. (Amending) After the failed attempt to get what we paid for at Schlotzsky’s we drove 2 miles down the road to Aviators pizza. They made our order in 10 mins, were friendly and were fully staffed (at least four people). Maybe the managers at Schlotzsky’s should shut down for a week, spend some time at Aviator’s and watch how a real restaurant is run and staffed.
My first time at Scholtzsky’s and I waited in drive thru for 15 min too get food, I hope this is not typical.
Avoid this location. There was mold on the bottom of our kid’s pizza, we showed it to a worker who looked horrified, and she got the manager who said it couldn’t be mold because their dough is baked fresh. Then explain the green spots on the bottom of the pizza? Another pizza we got, the cheese was fully unmelted, still in cold shreds, and the veggies were uncooked. Just utterly awful.
We went to Schlotskys for lunch around 10:15am. The sign said they open at 10am and the doors were open. We're standing there waiting for service, no one showed up after a few minutes. We hear 2 women talking in the back and one tells the other "they can wait". When they finally come out, they tell us they're closed and only the drive thru will be open in 15 mins. The only reason we waited was because we really wanted Schlotskys and they were the only ones around. We got our order and we should've known better not to check but we needed to hurry back. We got back and both of our bags of chips were missing. We tried to call but the phone kept giving us a busy signal. I called corporate and never got an answer and even made a complaint through the app. Nothing. Not one response. Needless to say, we are never returning there. I'll drive to Austin instead.
Worked all day in the hot sun and couldn't wait to get here to get my raspberry tea and hot sandwich. Waited forever for someone to come to the counter and when she showed up she didn't look like she really wanted to be here. I order a medium sandwich and large tea. The container was out so I asked for the raspberry tea and they said they didn't have anymore?! Sure. Too difficult to make any more?! That’s the feeling I got when I asked and I had to practically go to the back past the register to ask. I was not happy that no raspberry tea was made. My sandwich arrived with a hole on top and the cheese was oozing out. Sure, make mine with an extra thin top with a hole. That sure makes a great impression. I've eaten my meal and not one employee has made an appearance. Sounds like they're having fun in the back though. So, if you want crappy.service, holey buns, and no one to make raspberry tea, come here ; you're at the right place. I won't be seeing you!
We had a Ceasar Salad and a Sandwich meal. The lettuce in the salad were old and dark and seemed partially rotten. The sandwich had way to much mustard on it. Only had 3 different types of chips to choose from. Cleanness of the restaurant and the bathrooms is obviously not a priority. Floor is super slippery. Won't be back any time soon.
I don't know if it's the people or what, but this location is absolutely terrible compared to all the other location. ALSO, HOW IS IT ALWAYS CLOSED TO EAT INSIDE. Food is always missing half of the ingredients in it. Just a terrible location.
On 2/25/2025 after a softball game, around 7:45 pm I went to the Elgin location for the pick two, which I always get during lunch at this same location. When I walked up to the door it was locked, but clearly stated on the door open until 9, so I understand things happen and decided to go through the drive thru since I see others at the drive thru. When I go to order I ask for the pick two (sandwich Original) and asked what soups they had, she said we stop serving soups at 7pm and so I was like, what else could I get and she said flat bread, huh! Why would I order flatbread and a sandwich, at this point I am done, mind you she does not try to make it right or even say another word to me. I sat there a few seconds realizing she is not coming back on, so I just drove off. This is the worst customer service ever. Do not waste your time going here in the evening. Also, there are large potholes in the parking lot.
Cashier at drive thru was on her cell phone and I waited 40min before I got my food.. .. I would of left but I had already paid... Asked to buy a side of jalapeños and she rolled her eyes and said I'll just give them to you.. which she never did..I would of paid. Lady was on her cell all this time..had to honk and remind 2 other employees I still needed my food.
I’ve tried to give this place a chance since COVID but it still hasn’t gotten any better. They seem to cycle through employees often. Sometimes you can tell someone is actually trying and other times it seems like they couldn’t care less. Something is always wrong with the order, whether you order online, at the drive thru or straight to their face, something is incorrect. They need to find out how to get people that actually want to work there and care about their performance or they need to close down completely.
Horribly managed, worst Schlotskys I’ve ever been to and ashamed that this is in the town I live. Never stock pizza crust so their BOGO promotions are useless. Food takes 20+ minutes to prepare. Staff is unfriendly and unprofessional.
We placed an online order today for pick up. Arrived and they didn't have the order ready, they didn't even seem to know a pick up order had been placed. They scrambled to get it together and when we got home with the order we realized they forgot to include our soup which was about $6. I would love to have called and dealt with them instead of having to leave a review, but every phone number I find for that location is disconnected. I had to drive in from another town so it's not even worth spending the $6 on gas that I would need to drive back up there to get a refund for the soup I never received. The kids pizzas we got were fine but the 2 salads we ordered were not great. Generally just disappointed with them and we probably won't be going back any time soon.
7:06PM 11/09/2024 Tried to go inside(where other people were currently eating) and was gestured at rudely not to come inside and to go around in the drive though. Same employee that rudely gestured at us was also working the drive through and was very rude here as well. We were asking simple questions only to be met with rude remarks back. Half the menu was apparently not available. Tried to order a salad and were told that “salads are closed” Sounds like the laziest/worst employee award is a blowout no contest.
This is the worst location. It's closed unexpectedly half the time, then just randomly out of food items. Their soft drinks are always sour. Just got home, half food is missing and they don't pick up the phones. Never going back.
Ordered on the app for drive thru pick up but system glitched and this location never received our order. Which is no big deal, I wouldn’t have minded waiting longer or gone inside to order. Instead of offering is to place an order, they shut the drive thru window, ignored us, and had to leave for sonic across the street.
I normally live schlotzsky’s, particularly the salad and soup but this location is the worst. The people working there seem to be on a revolving basis where you never see the same one twice. The store is not kept clean….dirt and dead bug in window sills, floor not clean. Doesn’t look like it has been deep cleaned for ages. Yesterday, I decided to try the drive thru for one of my favs - soup and salad. I was asked to wait about 5 minutes and when someone did answer there was no apology for the wait. So I ordered strawberry chicken salad and before I could finish my request was told they had no fixing for salads so we’re not serving them. This was 1:00 in the afternoon. Again, no apology, no offer of something else. This location is seriously hurting the reputation of schlotzsky’s. So sad 😢😢.
So disappointed with the sandwich for the 3rd time. I actually met the new managers in the drive thru today and told them about my experience. They were so nice, but my order was not toasted and the meat was sparingly used. by the time I got home it was so soggy. The Bastrop location has never let me down. Come on girls I am going to give you one more chance because y’all were so nice.
Took extra time off work to get a sandwich, cause they didn't answer the phone to call in an order earlier, and previous visit they ignored my online order....I get to the window and they tell me I didn't order jalapeño bread which i definitely did and that "it will take a minute " cause they have to make it again and have other orders ahead of me ...so I have to wait longer so they can get it corrected....never again. ELGIN SCHLOTZSKYS
This schlotz, keys in Elgin, is the worst period . The first time they messed up by putting the wrong sauce on the California, avocado chicken Flatbread, and my sandwich was drowning in mustard. they messed up my order the first time and decided to remake my order the next day. The person before me was already done with their food and the person after me already received their food by the time I got my orders back. A total of 40 minutes, the guy in a sweater was dismissive. And rude. The replacement meal was free, but honestly, not even worth it.
I’m usually not the one to write reviews, but this crossed the line it is so “Nasty “to bite into your food and have a long hair in your food. It just ruins your whole meal…
We were at the Elgin Schlotkys and after we placed our order for pickup which was supposed to be ready by 5:07,we were instructed to move out of the car lane and go inside as it would be faster. we watched car after car go as we waited inside for our supposedly "almost done order". After much yelling and cursing by the manager towards her staff, I decided to ring the bell for service to ask where our order was after waiting 25 minutes at 5:30. No one came to help me and we did not get our food until 5:40. Absolutely disappointed, and a huge time waste.
Drive through was fine. Quick service but the sandwiches were toasted so much that they were hard as a rock and couldn’t bit through the bread. Usually schlotsky has nice soft bread which is their trademark. This was bad. Need to have fresh bread so you don’t have to toast it .
Avoid this location! Sandwich is always cold and bread is stale. Eaten here on 3 different occasions always something wrong. On the most recent trip we ordered extra meat on 4 large sandwiches and it wasn't added. Wasn't till we got home 30 minutes later that we noticed and by then it's to late!
La Blanquiz is such a horrible manager, it’s very clear that she doesn’t care about ANY of her employees. The people who work here don’t know when they’re working until the night before, which gives them ZERO time to react or plan ahead of time. And because she’s not just horrible as a manager, but also as a person, none of the employees here care to be better, so the food and service is always awful, just like the manager. Save yourself the trouble and don’t eat here.
Got the order wrong. Very over priced. I me a n how hard is it yo get the order right? Ni wonder this is the worst place to eat in Elgin. Never again
The one in bastrop is better than this store hot and fresher every time I ask for extra mayo or anything on my sandwich they never do I have to wait till I get home to eat and enjoy my food :/
I wanted to express my disappointment with the service at the Elgen location. Each time we place an order for company meetings, something is always missing. Due to these repeated issues, we’ve decided to only dine in at this location moving forward, rather than placing takeout orders.
WARNING: DO NOT EAT AT ELGIN SCHLOTSKY'S I got a BBQ Turkey Sandwich here and it was more than just disappointing. The sandwich appeared to be laced with a strong sedative or antihistamine, leaving me dizzy, sick, and unwell for days. I tried calling the store to report it but no one answers the phone. Because of the severity of this incident, I reported it to corporate. Still haven't heard back. This is not just bad food. It is a serious health and safety hazard. I strongly warn anyone reading this to avoid this location for food. Your wellbeing is at risk.
Been here several times, each time trying to give it a chance. This is the last time! I don't know if their toaster is broken or their bread recipe is missing something, but the bread is flat & dense, not light and fluffy like every other schlotzsky's I've been to. We even asked to double toast to try to make it better. Nope. The franchise owners need make a visit to their store.
I ordered an alberquerque turkey to be delivered. I asked for no fire roasted vegetables, which of course, they were in there. They also did not run the sandwich through the toaster as they normally would to melt the cheese. Instead it was covered in a bunch of inedible cold parmesian. It was also not on the right bread but that's a common mistake with this particular sandwhich. I had to throw the whole thing out. I can understand a group not being on their a-game once, and the first time it happened it was late at night, but this occurred a second time. At this point, it feels intentionally neglectful.
Gave us California pizzas without avacado and refused to do a refund. Employee answered the phone with, “what’s up” and expressed no care about our order and refused to put a manager on the phone. Avoid eating here - if this is how they openly treat customers I can’t imagine what their kitchen looks like.
Waited over 15 minutes for a bowl of broccoli cheddar soup. Which obviously never came. 12 8 18. Spend your money somewhere else. 9/12/19 This is the worst place in town. Ordered a salad, and this is how the avocado came out. I spoke to the manager who explained that "this is how we serve it every day, people eat it." "It looks like that when it sits out for a couple minutes." He told me he would being out another plate of avacado, on the round plate. It was the same way. Spend your money somewhere else
