Recensioni di Bonnie & Clyde Fairport
The food at Bonnie and Clyde is amazing, we shared several small plates and were super happy with everything we got. The cocktails were wonderful, and the service is unmatched here. When you walk in the high ceilings and decor are stunning- and the dining table in the vault is absolutely gorgeous. Everything here is well thought out and beautifully executed, we can’t wait to come back!
Everything about Bonnie and Clyde is top notch! The food was one of the best meals I have had in a long time (beet salad and market fish! Yum!) The entire staff was friendly and helpful. The decor is gorgeous and the entire experience felt like what fine dining should be. This is a truly unique restaurant and I can't wait to go back soon.
Went with another couple and shared many dishes on the menu. Everything was excellent. Octopus, lobster croquettes, stracciatella cheese, clams, empanadas... all worth trying. The steak was a nice size portion and perfectly seasoned/prepared. The weakest part of the menu was the bolognese .... and even then it was still good but not to the level of everything else. The drinks were well-balanced (cubroom cocktail? Yes, please). The wait staff was pleasant and attentive. Beautiful interior with a cool concept. The only problem was it was so LOUD. Will visit again. Already recommended it to others.
5 Stars all around. This restaurant is a gem with knowledgeable and professional staff, unique and upscale food options, delicious cocktails and wine options, and a refreshing atmosphere for the Rochester area. My group sat at the bar and tried almost every appetizer offered. Every appetizer was rich with flavor but not heavy. The ambiance made it feel like this was “the place to be” and the style of the restaurant was a unique change for the area with high ceilings, marble flooring, and the hints of emerald green brought an essence of elegance.
Exceptionally wonderful dinning experience. Food , service and atmosphere was simply delightful. Would highly recommend and cannot wait to come back again
We had a phenomenal time here. Excellent service and the food was delicious. Loved the small plates (empanadas, straciatella, and olives) and the chicken and pasta entrees were fantastic. Drinks great too (cosmos). Was a little rainy when we’re there, but they have a very cool patio on the side with an outdoor bar. Great location and unbelievable renovations of the former bank.
Greatly enjoyed a unique dining experience at Bonnie and Clyde. The space is remarkable and has transformed the bank building into a beautiful environment. The food was outstanding and the service attentive and helpful in selections. Drinks were creative and expertly prepared. This restaurant is a fine addition to Fairport.
Amazing experience, our server Kelly was fantastic! A wonderful fine dining experience for adventurous palettes, everything I tried was well-balanced and beautifully presented. I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for more traditional food or who does not love complex flavor combinations.
Bright and airy remodel of the old bank looks fantastic. I was a big fan of the Cub Room so was happy to see that the food is just as good as I remember. Drinks are always a win and overall a great addition to the Fairport neighborhood. I look forward to going back and maybe seeing the return of their paella at some point…!
WOW. This place is clearly looking to be the top place in Roc for a nice dinner. The food was exceptional - fresh ingredients, thoughtful flavor combinations, and creative accompaniments. The cocktails are terrific and the house lager on tap is incredibly good (and neat!). The service is top notch with a super knowledgeable waitstaff that is attentive without being overbearing. The atmosphere is terrific - a lovely old bank really brings out this nifty Bonnie & Clyde theme. This spot oozes cool.
Had the absolute pleasure of attending this establishment on 2 occasions and both were spectacular. Atmosphere was unique and unlike anything in the Rochester area, food and drinks were superb. Bartenders in a class by themselves delivering craft cocktails unrivaled locally
Welcome to Fairport!! So glad to have you. The food, service and atmosphere are all superb. We had everything, I think. Scallops, Olives, Clams, Octopus, Beef Cheek Ravioli, Cacio de Pepe, Roasted Beet Salad, Steak Frites, Goat Cheese, cocktails, etc. I could have eaten 4 plates of olives and 4 plates of scallops…. These guys have it nailed down. Maria was an outstanding server, attentive and helpful. Eat at Bonnie & Clyde’s.
5 Stars is not enough of a rating this experience was a 10! From the moment we walked in, we knew he had found something unique! From the hostess to the bartender to the server and onto the owner, everyone was very attentive, professional, and welcoming! We started with Olive all Ascona along with F Foi Or Gras S Pate’ and sea scallops! Everything was delicious! We ordered the Tagliatelle bolognese And put it in the center of the table for all to share! I had the steak Frites we shared the Manila Clams the Grilled Octopus too boot. Dinner wouldn’t have been complete without the phenomenal desserts. We had the warm chocolate cake, the crème brûlée, Meijer, lemon, chiffon, cheesecake, and frangipane strawberry tart.…. We will be going back to this place because you only live once and this place was excellent and I recommended highly!
Wow is all I can say! Started with the beautifully decorated and open, high vaulted (no pun intended) ceilings then greeted with big smiles from all the staff, our waitress was wonderful and made some great recommendations. Wine selections and small plates were amazing. Recommend the Scallops and octopus! 18oz pork chop was cooked perfectly! Owner stopped by as well and thanked us for coming in.
I have no idea what people are talking about with the lack of atmosphere. The beauty of this restaurant in its 1920s is breathtaking. And the food! Every small plate was exquisite - the flavors and presentation were among the best I’ve had. Note that this restaurant is “family style” like good luck and others. Small plates that are meant to be shared; not eaten alone as an entrée. Do yourself a favor and go - if you love food, you’ll love Bonnie & Clyde!
Had a very special experience as a private party guest in the vault room. The food and drinks were exceptional. The service was top notch. The atmosphere was unique and classy. I am planning to return and would highly recommend! Thank you.
Bonnie and Clyde is a wonderful restaurant. We loved the atmosphere it was so unique. My Monkey Business cocktail was sweet and perfect for me. I ordered a side of French fries with three dipping sauces; they were the best fries I ever tasted!! For my main meal I ordered bolognese with homemade pasta which DID NOT disappoint. Our waiter was Jeremy and he took his time explaining the menus options for us, he was funny and entertaining, we never felt rushed. What a perfect evening… we will definitely visit again.
So happy we decided to try them!! Just a lovely evening. Food was delicious, nice options, well made and very flavorful. We have the lobster croquettes, lobster raviolis, tuna tartare, fish (halibut) of the day and steak and frites for our mains. All very well prepared, just the right amount for small plates and mains. Very well seasoned, perfect eating temperature, seasoned very well and plated lovely. Kelly and Ryan were fantastic, very professional but also extremely friendly and always had time to chat. Wine list is complete but not huge, making it more enjoyable by the glass and bottle. Very nice cocktail list and full bar. A wonderful evening. We’ll absolutely be back!!
Had an incredible meal. The empanadas were my favorite appetizer and the steak was perfect. the pumpkin cheesecake was a great dessert.
Absolutely delicious, elegant atmosphere and top notch service. Bartenders were upbeat and knew uncommon drink my aunt loves. We now attend brunch on the regular.
Loved it here! Gorgeous space, with very well done elegant decor, and comfortable seating! Love the style, and the beautiful tall windows! Definitely makes for a special evening! Food and service was on point, and we’ll definitely be back. I highly recommend the clams, scallop appetizer, the olives, bolognese pasta and steak frites! The fries are exceptional!!
10/0 experience at Bonnie and Clyde. Great food, drinks, and service! Hard to believe they have only been open for just about 2 months! Ryan and Abby were our servers and they were both fantastic, some of the best service we have had in Rochester. Very personable and knowledgeable on the menu. Food was also fantastic! We split the Frisée Larson Salad, Beef Carpaccio, Sea Scallops, Tuna Crudo, Tagiatelle Bolognese, Lemon cheesecake and seasonal tart. Every thing was very tasty, cooked perfectly and they had their timing down with serving us. We felt everything was very reasonable with portions and pricing, this is what you should expect when you go to a higher scale restaurant in the Rochester area. We would 100% recommend and we will be back!
Outstanding! The space is gorgeous and you can feel the vibes bustling throughout the restaurant. My friend was in town from Raleigh so we decided to head here to check it out. Drinks were creative with well balanced flavors. The food was all incredible. We are ones who like to share so we can try a little bit of everything so we stuck with mostly the whole left side of the menu. The food really stood out; each dish completely different and full of flavors. Can’t wait to go back!
Between the staff, the food, the cocktails and the ambience it is one of my favorite places to get dinner! The food was outstanding. We ordered the Stracciatella cheese and scallops to share. We also shared the bolognese. I myself got the market fish. Everything was phenomenal. The drinks were amazing. The cucumber currency is so refreshing and the lavender liquidity is also amazing. 10/10 on everything!
Spectacular food, atmosphere is beautiful and our service was a 10. I live in Naples where we have fabulous restaurants and food. I will say Bonnie & Clyde surpasses any restaurant I have experienced in all ways!! Highly, highly recommend, it will not disappoint. I’m back in Rochester for the weekend and we have 18 people that will experience the excellence for Easter Brunch. 💖🐣💖
When you walk into this establishment it’s like fresh air ! The smells of the food the decor the beautiful bar and seating areas ! The high ceilings and upper dining all in a 1924 remodeled Bank ! The food is cooked to perfection and choices are in abundance ! From the Foir Gras Pate’ to the large Scallops cooked to perfection! It was truly one of the best dinners I’ve had ! Look forward to going back. If your looking for something new , delicious and unique! “Bonnie & Clyde’s is the place to be! 👍
We were huge fans of The Cub Room, so we’re beyond happy that the team behind Bonnie & Clyde has done it again! They’ve transformed an old bank into a stylish, welcoming space that’s both cool and full of character. The food is fantastic - especially chef’s signature Bolognese (my favorite from The Cub Room) and there are plenty of great new additions to explore. The handcrafted cocktails are consistently delicious, and the entire staff makes you feel like part of the family. Highly recommend, and we’ll definitely be back!
Having been a huge fan of Cub Room, I was excited to see their newest project and it delivers. The space is incredible, love the vault! The food quality is top notch, dishes are both classic and inventive, and the bar staff is always on point with incredible cocktails. Surprised to see the negative reviews. Can you seriously leave a one star review just because you couldn't book an online reservation? Love this place!
I've been numerous times to this Fairport gem. I have been a fan of the owners for over a decade from their former South Wedge spot. This new concept surpasses The Cub Room in all facets - bar program, menu concept and service. My favorite drinks were the Cherry Cherry and the Lavender Liquidity. The food menu has some eponymous faves from Cub Room along with a robust assortment of new items, many with a decidedly euro flair accessible for Rochester tastes. I've tried most dishes and found the beef cheek Ravioli, and the steak to be my go-tos. My wife loves pretty much EVERY app and was raving about the halibut on our last go around. As for service and ambiance, expect a packed and rollicking house. The waitstaff are prompt, professional and polite. You'll have a blast seeing everyone dressed up and enjoying themselves. There's plenty of other hole in the wall forgettable venues where you can sit quietly in the dark. So if you want a little NYC style dining with a dash of euro influence, pretty people and a great venue, this is your jam.
Fantastic food! Delicious wines. Great location. Great service. Beautiful restaurant! Highly recommended. -Massimo
Fantastic cocktails and delicious food! My wife and I shared some small plates and enjoyed a couple drinks at the bar. We can’t wait to come back for our next visit to the Rochester area. We will always miss Cub Room but this spot has a bright future ahead.
Bonnie & Clyde is an absolute standout — there’s truly nothing else like it in Fairport. From the moment you walk in, the vibe is electric yet intimate, blending vintage charm with modern edge. The atmosphere is effortlessly cool — perfect for a night out with friends or a stylish date night. The cocktails? Incredible. Thoughtfully crafted, beautifully presented, and full of bold, unexpected flavor combinations that somehow work perfectly. Whether you’re a classic cocktail fan or into creative twists, you’ll find your new favorite here. And the food — wow. Every dish is bursting with flavor, beautifully plated, and clearly made with top-tier ingredients. It’s the kind of place where you’ll want to order one of everything just to see what else the kitchen can do. Bonnie & Clyde has completely raised the bar in Fairport. It’s not just a meal — it’s an experience. We’re lucky to have it right here in town.
Went with a large group so I was able to taste a good portion of menu. The crudo, squid pasta with muscles, scallops were some of my favorites. Went with the steak which was cooked to Perfection and amazing. The drinks at Bonnie's are best. Liam and other bartenders best in the city. Finish it off with the creme brulee. Great atmosphere and hosts are very attentive and friendly.
From the moment we walked in, the vibe was warm, stylish, and inviting. You can tell they genuinely care about the guest experience. It was a busy Friday night during restaurant week but the whole staff was friendly, attentive, and didn’t rush us at all. The food is absolutely next level. We got a number of small plates to share, tuna crudo special, scallops, goat cheese, and beet salad. All of it was killer and so fun to share at the table. For entrees, we got the duck special and bolognese and we were absolutely blown away!! I’ve never tasted duck that good, and the pasta was to die for… so rich but not heavy so we still had room for dessert. (Crème brûlée was perfect!) Fairport has a true gem on its hands with this spot, and I can’t wait to come back again and again!
Wow. Incredible food, the scallops, beet salad and crudo were my favorites. Cool vibe and great service. Lavender liquidity cocktail was to die for. Definitely one of my new favorite spots in Rochester.
We were looking forward to going to Bonnie and Clyde's to celebrate our Son and Daughter in Law's Anniversary. From start to finish, we enjoyed the food, experience and eating in a former fancy bank. Food was fresh and delicious. We had brunch. Chicken fried steak with eggs and polenta, bread pudding french toast, pastrami hash eggs benedict and creme brulet. Each had a unique approach. Service and drinks were spot on. Highly recommend.
All the little touches are well thought out, the quality of the food is top notch. Apps and small plates are meant to be shared and are small bites to savor. The goat cheese is perfection, the pickled red onion and crispy goat cheese is delightful. The cocktails are balanced and flavorful, I recommend the Cush. Cannot wait for summer and the patio to be open! Check this place out, you won’t be sorry.
I've dined at Bonnie and Clyde many times over the past year. The food, drinks, and service are consistently exceptional. Last night’s specials—the pork chop and the chicken riggies—were truly outstanding and among the best meals we’ve had there! It’s wonderful to see a restaurant that continues to raise the bar.
What an exceptional find! I had just flown in from Los Angeles and this was recommended to me. My local friends and I quite literally sampled everything on the menu. From the pastas to the duck to the steak fritte to the clams to the scallops to the buttery bluefin tuna crudo special of the day, it was all exquisite and a dining experience I will not soon forget. And the desserts! Those warrant a separate volume on their own. I highly recommend anyone in the area make a pilgrimage to this artfully restored former historic bank. You’ll have as much sensory fun as the notorious couple of bank robbers did before Johnny Law took them down.
We stopped in for Fairport Restaurant Week - first time at Bonnie & Clyde. Food was outstanding! We chose several small plates as opposed to having entrees. We ordered a second serving of one of the specials. Cocktails were delicious as well. We will definitely return.
Delicious food and drinks. The service was perfect and the staff was welcoming and charming. They did a lovely job of preserving/restoring much of the building's original character. Looking forward to visiting again!
This was our first time at Bonnie & Clyde. They went out of their way to help me surprise my husband for his birthday. Our server was amazing! We loved everything about this restaurant and will definitely be returning!
Did not disappoint. Expectations were already high being their previous restaurant "The Cub Room" was phenomenal. Checked every box! Craft drinks were delicious, the service was great; picking up finished plates almost immediately, food came out in perfect timing, portions were the perfect size, and the bill was very reasonable! Set inside of an old bank made for a very unique atmosphere, and it was decorated tastefully. We will most definitely be returning. The chef has tallent to rival the best in the city; bon appetit!
Fairport finally has an upscale dinning experience! You will not be disappointed with the experience, cocktails, and food! If you have an adventurous palette, this restaurant will not disappoint! The building was beautifully redone, but the high ceilings do make the place loud. Reservations are booked a month out so plan accordingly!
The wife and I celebrated our 19th Wedding Anniversary here. We wanted to go somewhere special and Bonnie & Clyde did disappoint. This was the first restaurant that ever read my special reservation notes because ever employee congratulated us and they even sent over a glass of free champagne for us to toast. The stracciatella cheese appetizer was unique and surprisingly delicious. I had to go with the steak fites for my main and you have to get a side of the malt vinegar aioli. And since it was Christmas time they had a gingerbread cream cheese dessert . If your on the Eastside make Bonnie and Clyde a must stop
You’ll definitely want to make a reservation ahead of time, but it’s well worth it. The inside of this place was beautifully done. Service is great, and the food is incredible. The menu is mostly set up to share with the table and it’s a great way to try everything. I was nervous about not loving the menu ahead of time, but I ended up loving everything I tried. The steak is to die for. We ended up trying one of every dessert- highly recommend doing this! Definitely one of my favorite restaurants around.
I loved the atmosphere of the place, it was a bit loud and hard to hear. The building itself was a bank. Food was delicious. Definitely recommend getting the steak frites. Perfectly cooked, juicy and tender with the butter. Staff was friendly.
Honestly probably some of the best food we’ve had in Rochester the past 4 years living here. Some of the reviews comment on portion size. The chef is Spanish so the small plates are tapas style. Cocktails were also delicious. Will definitely be back!
The food was amazing! The braised short rib raviolis were delicious! Salads and desserts were very yummy and cocktails were perfect!
This was a fun, unique, expensive experience. The remodel of this old bank is fantastic! It’s a lively, sophisticated, posh atmosphere. You won’t want to come in jeans and a hoodie for dinner here. It’s very modern with amazing upscale small portioned unique dishes. It’s a treat for even the most experienced pallets. It’s a little load even on the second floor. The vault room is one of a kind.
We ate at Bonnie and Clyde and it was one of the best meals I’ve had out all year. They had a tuna crudo appetizer special that was so fresh and just melted in your mouth. The fried goat cheese was incredible. We had such a hard time choosing because everything on the menu looked so good! I took a risk ordering the bolognese as I tend to be very disappointed with restaurant bolognese, but this one was amazing. You could tell the pasta was made in house and the flavors were incredible. My husband got the chicken and it was so moist and a nice sized portion. Everything came out fast and the prices were surprisingly inexpensive for the quality. The ambiance was great, I’ve seen other reviews complaining about it being too loud but we went on a Friday night and I honestly didn’t think it was any louder than any other restaurant would be. All around great experience, would definitely recommend!
Bonnie and Clyde: A Hidden Gem Worth Every Bite From the moment we sat down, Bonnie and Clyde delivered a culinary experience that felt both indulgent and inventive. The hors d'oeuvres set the tone—pickled skewers and deep-fried olives wrapped in sausage were nothing short of phenomenal. Each bite was a burst of flavor, perfectly balanced and delightfully unexpected. We moved on to small plates, and the sea scallops and braised pork coppa were melt-in-your-mouth masterpieces. The white Bolognese? Scrumptious, comforting, and elevated—like a hug in pasta form. Dessert was a showstopper: a warm chocolate cake with a hard chocolate shell beneath the scoop of vanilla ice cream, cleverly keeping the cream in place and preventing it from melting too quickly. Genius. It was the kind of dish that makes you pause mid-bite just to appreciate the brilliance. Service from Kelly was outstanding—attentive, warm, and genuinely invested in making our evening special. We’re already planning our return to explore the private vault room, which offers a four-course tasting menu with wine pairings. It sounds like a secret worth unlocking. Bonnie and Clyde isn’t just a restaurant—it’s a decadent escape tucked away in plain sight. A true hidden gem.
Loving the new B&C addition to our little village. The menu is very good and apparently going to expand. Their bar team makes a fabulous cocktail. I can’t wait to see where they grow and go. Only detractor I can say is it’s a bit spartan and sterile. I love the art deco lighting but I’d love to see something on the walls somewhere. Give me a little speakeasy era theme. Plus it will help with the sound. Super excited to welcome B&C to Fairport.
This is such an amazing place! Feels like Manhattan right here in Fairport! And Liam makes the best Manhattan! ❤️😀 Fabulous menu, great date night, drinks with friends or for large and small parties!
When visiting my hometown of Rochester, NY, experiencing the city's new culinary scene is a must. Upon hearing that Jodi and Greg Johnson were opening a new restaurant, it quickly made its way to my list. The reservation process was simple, and I booked ours several weeks in advance, anticipating high demand for this new spot. I was glad I did, as the restaurant was bustling, even on a holiday weekend. Three gracious hostesses warmly greeted us in the unique space. Though we arrived early, our table was ready, and we could enjoy drinks at the bar, which was sleek and well-designed for a steady stream of guests. The bartenders gave personal attention to each guest. We ordered cocktails from the curated menu: "The Teller" is a balanced blend of Evan Williams Bonded Bourbon, honey, Giffard Apricot Liqueur, lemon, and molasses bitters—refreshing and layered in flavor. "Monkey Business" offers a tropical mix of Ten To One White Rum, caramelized banana, coconut, pineapple, and lemon—smooth and playful with island-inspired vibes. While enjoying our drinks, we admired the modern yet nostalgic design of the restored bank. The former bank president’s office now overlooks the dining area, and the vault has been transformed into a unique gathering space. Thoughtful details, from the glassware to the table settings, reflected Jodi’s signature style. Once seated, we were taken care of by Hannah, our exceptional server, who was attentive, knowledgeable, and warm throughout the evening. She made the experience seamless and memorable. Executive Chef Greg Johnson and his team delivered a menu that thrilled our inner foodies. We opted for small plates, starting with Lobster Croquettes—crisp on the outside, buttery and rich inside, paired with vibrant curry aioli. Jodi sent over The Olive All'Ascolana: Castelvetrano olives stuffed with Italian sausage and parmesan, crisped to golden perfection—a perfect bite, salty and indulgent. The Sea Scallops were seared to perfection, tender and sweet, with a rich panang curry and bok choy, finished with a fresh cilantro-parsley oil. The standout was the Grilled Octopus—smoky and tender, it was paired with creamy chickpea purée and twice-cooked eggplant. A drizzle of mint oil added a bright, refreshing lift to each bite. The pacing of our meal was flawless, with each dish arriving at just the right moment, allowing us to savor every bite. We had time to enjoy more cocktails before indulging in dessert. The crème brûlée was luxuriously creamy, with a rich vanilla custard and a perfectly crisp caramelized sugar crust—plenty for two to share. Greg and Jodi Johnson’s Bonnie and Clyde is a labor of love. Jodi, the heart of the restaurant, greets each guest with warmth, making the space feel like home. Greg’s culinary expertise shines through in every dish, creating a memorable dining experience. Their passion for both food and hospitality is evident in every detail, from the cocktails to the décor, and the warm smiles of the staff.
Finally, a more upscale and unique restaurant in the suburbs of Rochester. Great menu with a variety of flavors. The food was delicious. Service was top notch. Atmosphere was perfect. Honestly, we were very impressed that this restaurant opened just over a week ago because they were operating like they’ve been around for at least a year. The only critique we had was that the music was too loud. We will definitely return!

Absolutely love this place. We used to go to Cub Room and when we found out he owners opened a new restaurant we had to go. Food is top notch from the small bites to entrees. Everything is always cooked and seasoned to perfection. I've been able to try new things like rabbit, ox tail, and even truffles. The food comes out perfectly timed so you're never halfway through your appetizer when the entree comes out. Wait staff is always very friendly, very knowledgeable, and very attentive. Great for a date night, a celebration, or just if you want to treat yourself to a great meal. If I could rate them higher I would.
We went in having heard mixed reviews and were completely blown out of the water. The food was outstanding, the ambiance was warm and thoughtfully done, and our server Hannah was absolutely incredible — attentive, welcoming, and genuinely made the experience memorable. Explained their menu- this a great date night! If you are with a party more than 2 understand their plates! This was one of those dining experiences you don’t forget. A truly special night, and we will definitely be back. Highly recommend.
We dined at Bonnie and Clyde with a group of friends for the first time. Everything was excellent. The building was beautifully designed and I especially loved the private vault room. Our server was very knowledgeable about the different wines available and provided excellent service. We decided to share all of the small plates to start. Our favorites were the scallops, Beef Carpaccio, and Pork Copa. I also loved the empanadas. For entrees the strip steak, bolognese and Salmon were all insanely delicious. We finished with the creme brulee, pumpkin cheesecake, and chocolate cake. We had no leftovers! If you're looking for an amazing culinary experience I highly recommend Bonnie Clyde. These guys know what they're doing. My husband and I can't wait to go back.
3rd visit here. The first two times were at the bar, which is what captured our attention the most. Then, we sat at a table for our third visit. We feel that the service delivered on every expectation and above that a restaurant in Rochetser /Finger Lakes could offer. Friendly, attentive, informative and dependable. The courses are portioned as they are intended as advertised. "Small plates" are that of small plates. Made to offer smaller portions to share with multiple guests, so you order more and try a bit of everything. The entrees menu is very simple and easy to decipher. Food is not meant to be a code to Crack, but this restaurant offers flavors that are to be explored and enjoyed as the point of interest and entertainment. My wife and I lived in the restaurant scene for decades, had a family and veered off. We are not as impressed with meals that are "works of art" as we once were. However, Chef and his staff have a challenging yet unique opportunity to introduce the art of food to a working class suburb of a rather eclectic city. 10 years ago, this place would have struggled, but the times in Fairport have caught up with the desire of trend and Bonnie and Clyde's delivers. As a sommelier (Court of Master Sommeliers), I can attest to the quality and integrity of their wine menu, food pairings and balance in flavor for each meal that we had sampled in our last three visits. We are fortunate to have a restaurant of this caliber in our very own neighborhood. They simply don't exist except for the outskirts of very large cities. Any negative reviews must be brought to you by people who are experiencing pain or sorrow l, guilt or resentment in their personal lives. 1, 2 or 3 star reviews are reserved for a restaurant that drops a salad on your head or tells you to go to hell. None of these negative reviews are warranted at this restaurant. I suggest trying, and like every restaurant, if it doesn't hit the hot spot for you, always try again. Well done!

First time checking this place out, as it had some hype being a new restaurant in Fairport as well as being under the same ownership as Cub Room, which I loved and was sad to see close! Overall, it was a good experience. The food was okay, but in my opinion, not worth the price of what they were offering. Portion sizes are VERY small, so I wouldn’t recommend going if you are quite hungry. They also weren’t flexible at all with substitutions or additions to meals, for example adding a protein to the pasta, changing toppings to a salad, and only offering one kind of side (fries). Not the end of the world but I feel that most restaurants can accommodate even if that means having an up-charge. Regardless, I thought that the food itself was pretty average and that I could get a much bigger portion of food that tastes better at a similar or more reasonable price elsewhere! I’d probably go back for some fun cocktails and appetizers to share, but not a full dinner. We did have friendly service and it was a cute setup inside. The acoustics seem to be a bit off so it was quite loud/echoey inside. Otherwise, it’s a cute spot and I hope that they can expand on some things in the future!
This place has only been open for a month or so, but they don't seem to be struggling with getting their ducks in a row. Lots of new places I've been are shaky at best during their first months, but this place was running smoothly in my time there (a Wednesday night). Service from being seated to getting orders in to food runners getting things to you quickly was on point. They did well considering how busy it was. We had reservations and were seated immediately after arriving. We were seated upstairs which was pretty cool. I was expecting it to be quieter up there since it was a bit too loud on the first floor, but it was as loud up there too. That's probably my only criticism of the atmosphere (other than it was a little chilly next to the window upstairs). If you like a quieter meal where you don't need to raise your voice to speak to someone, this may not be the place for you. If you don't care about loud music and then patrons all speaking over it, it's perfectly fine. You don't want to go there for a romantic meal with a private conversation. The menu, while not extensive, was pretty diverse. This place is set up for you to share plates with the table. We ordered three apps; empanadas, the clams, and our favorite was the crispy goat cheese. All three were fairly small portions, but they aren't supposed to be large plates. For entrees, we ordered the tagliatelle bolognese and the beef cheek ravioli. Both tasted good, and the ravioli were the better of the two. I say that because we were expecting longer, wider strands of fresh pasta (we assumed the price tag was due to the pasta being homemade, but I'm not confident it was made in-house). It came out looking like boxed linguini, but it was cooked well and tasted fine. The bolognese was also a bit looser than we usually expect. There didn't seem to be much to make it look traditional. It was essentially clear. No remnants of carrots, red wine, crushed tomatoes, or tomato paste. Almost seemed like it was cooked in 30 minutes instead of for hours, but I can't be certain. May have just been a different interpretation. It tasted fine, but it was not what we traditionally get when we order bolognese. The ravioli on the other hand was fantastic. Well cooked and presented. I was a little worried that the agrodolce was going to overpower the beef, but it was very balanced and delicious. We also tried their seasonal frangipane tart for dessert, which was orange and cherry flavored. It was quite good and was larger than we were expecting. It was served fairly uniquely too with a small shot of a mixed Old Fashioned cocktail that the server suggested we pour onto/into the tart and then dip the cookie that served along side into it. We both could do without Old Fashioneds so we didn't pour, but I did dunk one bite to see what the deal was. It was actually pretty tasty, but if you don't like the whiskey, skip it. I'll go back. It won't be too often due to the steep price tags on most items, but I look forward to see how this place evolves and mixes up the menu.
I recently visited this new restaurant, and overall, it was a great experience! The food and drinks were exceptional—every dish was delicious, and the cocktails were perfectly crafted. The service was top-notch, with the staff being attentive and friendly. However, the only downside was the music. It was incredibly loud, to the point where it was difficult to hear the conversation at our table. We also had a hard time hearing the waiter when they were speaking. It would be much more enjoyable if the volume was dialed down a bit. Would definitely recommend for the quality of food and drinks, just hope they adjust the music volume next time!
I live in Fairport, so was very happy to see Bonnie & Clyde open in town. I met the owners years ago when they opened the Cub Room. We shared some of our wine we brought in from our cellar and had a lovely chat. Being in the restaurant industry for over 20 years; here is my input. Beautiful build out. Sleek and modern. Cocktails were excellent and offered a great variety. My guest and I shared several plates. Lobster croquettes were not very good. Filled with a mushy mixture which did not taste like lobster. Scallops were excellent in a great sauce. The Stracticelli and bread was tasty as well. We also split the pasta special with shrimp which was fine, but only had a couple of chopped up pieces; not one whole shrimp in the whole dish. Food overall was fair, but hopefully some improvements are made over time. Now my pet peeve as many restaurants are doing this. The extra charge for using a credit card really puts me off. Data shows that patrons using credit spend 20-25% more. Why would a restaurant encourage paying by cash? It's so short-sighted and they literally lose money doing it. But unfortunately, not all restaurant owners are good business people. I hope Bonnie & Clyde does well and continually works on building a great menu. The addition to Fairport is much needed.
Our meals were very good. Make sure to review the menu ahead. If you’re not comfortable with the prices then don’t go. It has small tapas dishes and the are small. Our server made sure to explain this so there’s no reason to complain.
Martinis are reasaonsble and around $13 each. The drinks are not as exciting as some city options and could be created with more flair. We did not eat on this trip. The atmosphere is the real pull here. I think they could benefit from sound reduction panels on the wall, but it was tolerable even without. The decor is beautiful.
Dined here tonight (Wed. 11/5). The space is visually stunning, though better looking opposite from bar into the mammoth windows (bar side looks into Starbucks across the walkway). However the restaurant is also acoustically suboptimal and. Would benefit greatly from some draped cloth (or similar sound) dampening. The cocktail menu is appetizing and the cocktails themselves were good, tho not quite excellent (erring a little on the sweet side). Service was slow to start and we felt a bit ignored but got better as the meal progressed — efficient but no especially attentive. Having said all of that, the food was excellent. We started with the Pork Capo which was incredibly tender, and then had the Duck and Squash Ravioli (Fantastic) and Market Fish — all delicious. Some of the prior reviews complained about portion sizes, but we felt they were appropriate and beautifully presented. In summary: Visual space A+, acoustics C-, service B-, Drinks B, Food A. We’d go back.
My wife enjoyed the exotic small portion foods, but I did not. But the building inside is a worthwhile experience by itself. It's a classic high ceiling bank building. The acoustics is deafening and it was nearly impossible to have a discussion across our small table. Probably due to echoes off the ceiling. There is also a bank vault that seats 8 at a single table inside. I stepped inside and it was quiet and cozy. That's the one spot for a comfortable dinner experience.
Great cocktails, friendly servers. Food was good but fries with steak frittes were way too salty. Otherwise we enjoyed
Overall good food. Anyone with less than a 3 star review doesn't eat out in Rochester. Drink menu is vast and drinks are stuff enough to be called drinks. The old Fashion needs some type of muddled cherry. Apps and small plates are good the goat cheese could have been hotter. Our main meals were very tasty. Bathrooms need red/green occupied locks, even if someone knocks you can't hear if they say anything. There are 2 unisex bathrooms. Both bathrooms should have urinals. No woman wants to use a bathroom that a man used. In general it is very loud in there they need to add more sound proofing to the walls or paintings or plants anything to absorb the bar noise. Both our server and one of the staff had to say they couldn't hear me when I was ordering. This place is expensive but correctly priced for what they are trying to produce. Portions are normal sized. If your expecting a to-go box after your meal this isn't your place. 4.5 stars. Only wish is they bring back the smore dessert from the cub room. A real review for google not these 1 liners everyone else is leaving.
One of the newest hotspots in town. It took over the old Fairport savings bank, which which means high ceilings so it’s extremely loud. They’ve done a great job renovating the interior and you even can get a private room inside the old bank fault. I’ve attached the menu which doesn’t have a lot of food. Their specials are fantastic and their small plates are great. Best octopus I ever had. Wife said beet salad is also phenomenal. The lamb chops are tender and cooked perfectly. Our friends had a steak and fries, which was very good although cooked a little more than the medium rare they asked. The pasta was too al dente. If you want pasta, go to an Italian restaurant instead. Drinks are very good. The bar is huge and is usually packed. The old style bank teller ropes separate the bar folks from the dining patrons. Liam, one of the bartenders with a beard is fantastic. Lots of parking, which is nice. Keep in mind there’s construction right now in Fairport so you might have to take a few detours to get there. Crème brûlée for dessert was well done. Redwood still probably has the best crème brûlée in Rochester, but this place did a great job as well. Scallops had a slight undertone of curry and we’re very tender. Octopus was extremely tender. Unfortunately, both the lamb and the steak came out a medium when they were ordered medium rare.
Wanted to check this out and we stopped in on a Thursday evening. We had a very short wait prior to being seated waiting staff was very friendly but it was so loud you could barely hear what was said. The dishes are very small portion size so we opted to try the lobster croquet, the octopus, the steak frittes, Amish chicken and empanadas. All the food was cooked pretty well and we didn't leave with to go boxes. There was a decent amount of parking in the back of the restaurant so it was easy to come and go.
Finally got in to give the place a look and try it after months of trying to get a reservation with no luck or even a response. Snuck into the bar at opening on a weekday no problem! Nice selection of cocktails , both inventive house cocktails and well executed classics . Price are quite reasonable for cocktails . The food menu also seems quite reasonable but did not stay for food ( hopefully soon as the reservation system finally seems to be working ) Surroundings were nice and not overly bright or loud ( both complaints from earlier reviewers) . Overall hopeful to try it out and will update when I have .

The spirits, cocktails and service here are the stars. The wine menu is competent and the food is well prepared. You will have a good time. The atmosphere is casual upscale. You will see a variety of dress in the evening; sport coats to dress jeans in general. There will be more casual dress here and there. The menu has hors d'oeuvres and small plates that can be shared. The hors d'oeuvres are generally 4-5 bites shared between two people. The small plates are similar to single person appetizer at other restaurants. 2-3 small plates for a single person would be comparable to a single person's entree. The large plates are a single person's entree. Desserts are serviceable but limited. The interior is very tall and elegant, but can be noisy. When busy, those with hearing deficiencies may struggle. So if your have someone who refuses to wear their hearing aids be advised. Everyone else will be fine.

Once and done for us. Wanted to try new place in rehab bank. Food was good not great but smallish and expensive. Room, it's one big open noisy room, was underwhelming. Surprised at lack of ambiance. Server was good but we ate and left because felt like a loud echo chamber. Got dessert elsewhere.
Its a nice place but we would not go back. Food dis not impress at all. We were at the Cub room before and we loved the food there. We ordered 4 different dishes and 2 desserts. Nothing that we really liked.
They did an exceptional job on the buildout (it probably cost a lot). We sat upstairs, right outside a bathroom (might be a design flaw). Kelly (our waitress) was friendly and helpful. The fresh catch of the day (halibut) was good. The (2) pasta dishes were okay. The lamb chop special was a disaster. One of the chops must have been 75% bone (it should never left the kitchen). Kelly was accommodating when we ask that they replace the one. She came back with 2 and 1 of those was the same (75% bone). We ordered 2 desserts but was only served 1 which was okay (we weren’t charged for the second nor did we say anything). The drinks were good as was the wine. I’m confused as to why they don’t have a website. Maybe they spent all their money on the buildout.
I reserved dining room seating but was sat at the bar area. My husband was constantly bumped into due to the poor layout. The food was good, but the portion sizes of the appetizers and small plates were extremely small. The seafood pasta was lacking seafood. The Clyde Martini was good. It was very loud and crowded.
Pretty atmosphere, but very loud. Service was average, prices are high and portions are small. Not sure I would recommend as there are many other places to go for dinner. Maybe a cocktail and an appetizer then go elsewhere for dinner.
I was so disappointed. Atmosphere was ok. It felt like you were dining In a club. They could have done so much more with that beautiful building. Drinks were great. Food was not good. The couple next to us asked for salt and now I know why. Save your time and money !!!
We were so excited to try Bonnie and Clyde in Fairport. We’d been looking forward to it for weeks. Our server was kind, attentive, and knowledgeable, which we really appreciated. That said, the overall experience fell short. The layout felt a bit awkward, and the noise level near the bar made it tough to have a conversation. The lighting also created an atmosphere that felt more harsh than inviting. We shared a variety of small plates with friends, but unfortunately, none of them really stood out. The flavor profiles didn’t quite hit the mark, and some dishes tasted more like pre-packaged grocery items than thoughtfully prepared dishes. For the price point, the portions felt off, and the quality just didn’t match our expectations. To be fair, the restaurant is still new, and there’s definitely potential if they make some thoughtful adjustments. We might give it another try down the road, but this time, we left both hungry and underwhelmed.
Classy upscale big city vibe. Pricey, extremely small portions (grab a sandwich before you go). The Menu is pretty limited. Like most contemporary restaurants an echo chamber, too loud to carry on a conversation. I wouldn’t go back, but may appeal to those who enjoy that energy. Very nice staff.
Well I read some recent negative reviews but still wanted to give B&C a try. Restaurant definitely has some issues. First, the acoustics are awful. Music is blasting, and it’s hard to hear the person in front of you while sitting across from them. You literally have to tell the entire dinner. Second, the portions are tiny. You have to order at least 3-4 of the plates to make meal that won’t leave you hungry. The dishes are very overpriced and average. I think Bonnie & Clyde should be either a Bar or a Restaurant but not both. Some friendly advice, I’d rather be great at one thing, then so-so at two.
Wife and I shared 2 small plates, empanadas and scallops. The empanadas tasted like they came out of a box. Three small deep fried morsels for $20. I would gladly pay that if they were good. My wife ordered the scallops, which were tasty, but nothing to write home about. You would think that after sinking dollars into the interior, they would want to impress guests with better food.
Like others, we waited for a few weeks to get a reservation. Wanted to be wowed but that had no chance. Poor layout. Was placed at an end table next to the bar. It was incredibly loud. This made it a much less enjoyable dinner. The food was not very good. Portion sizes are for young children and prices are very high. I had the steak. It was supposed to be a strip steak. It was low grocery store grade with lots of fat. Clearly not prime or choce quality cuts. My wife had a pasta dish. It was an incredibly small bowl of pasta. You get more from a ramen package. I also had the lobster croquettes. These were a joke. 4 fried balls the size of gum balls. No real taste or flavor. I doubt any lobster was in them. It's too bad. This place won't last a year if they don't do something about the noise and the quality of food. With the bar crowd spilling over into the dining area because of the limited seating, people will grow tired and just stop coming. We won't be back. Poor food, high prices, limited menu and to loud to talk.
I had high hopes for Bonnie and Clyde in Fairport, but unfortunately, the experience fell short. On my first visit, the food was noticeably under-seasoned, though the service was excellent—our server was attentive, and both food and drinks arrived quickly. I later inquired about hosting a private event in their vault space. I follow a vegan diet for health reasons and was surprised to learn they require a fixed menu for events—with no flexibility. Their policy is that if one guest needs a vegan option, then the entire menu must be vegan, which feels unnecessarily rigid and dismissive of individual dietary needs. When I asked if there was any room for compromise, the response was essentially, “Oh well.” Given their unwillingness to accommodate reasonable dietary needs and the lackluster food, I can’t recommend them at this time. There are far more thoughtful and inclusive venues in the area.
Unfortunately, our experience at Bonnie & Clyde left a lot to be desired—and for the prices they’re charging, I expected much better. 1. Reservation Mix-Up: They gave away our reservation to another party after mistaking my name for “Eliza.” Instead of fixing it, we had to wait for Eliza’s table (which was for 4, not 2), even though there were multiple open tables. No apology, no comped drink, no acknowledgment of the mix-up. 2. Food Quality: Dyzio ordered the steak medium rare—it came out completely overdone. Fries were the only highlight. Overall, the food was just… meh. 3. Drinks & Billing Issues: Drinks were tiny—barely two sips—and not worth the $13–15 price tag. I ordered a mocktail and they brought me a cocktail instead, charged me for it, and even after sending it back, we had to correct the bill twice because we were also double-charged for our entrées. 4. Value vs. Quality: For what they’re charging, they should be competing with places like Good Luck or Lento, but they don’t even come close. 5. Atmosphere: The space was extremely loud and had more of a cafeteria vibe than a nice dining experience. We were seated behind a wall in a dark corner—out of sight, out of mind. Bottom line: Maybe I’d stop in for a cocktail if I were already in the area—but I wouldn’t go out of my way for overpriced, underwhelming food and service that doesn’t measure up.
Unfortunately, the service was dismissive and unprofessional. I was not treated with dignity or kindness, and the lack of basic respect made the entire visit unpleasant. I would strongly suggest thinking twice before dining here. There are far better places that truly value their customers.
Came here for a Valentine’s dinner… deeply disappointed. Excepted an elegant and rustic steak dinner and got $5 microwave steak! Dessert was labeled as a chocolate cake and I got a chocolate muffin… The atmosphere was actually great but the food does not match.
I was hoping Bonnie and Clyde would be a great addition to the village but it’s definitely over priced for what you get and how the food tastes. I’d love to see a separate “lunch” menu that may encourage others to come in for lunch time. Many restaurants have a Monday-Friday lunch special menu for a few hours with the same item menus with reduced portions or items with less of a price for lunch. I’m go out more to lunch with the girl friends or on business meetings, and I know the same is for many other working woman. Unfortunately I just don’t think the hype is worth it, and fear this business may continue to go downhill unless they change something. When I love a place I really love it, and I was hoping being that I’m so close this could be my new favorite place. Edit; To add to the owner’s response I’m glad your proud of your kitchen and food, but the customers feedback is truly what matters and I was trying to leave a nice review for you with positive feedback so you could improve which you clearly were insulted by. I’m aware your have lunch Fridays. Wow.. one day of the work week. Once again you should “include lunch price specials.” Not over priced food that isn’t worth the cost. That’s not catering to our town or the population of business workers. After this comment I won’t be going back here again. Best of Luck.
The place itself was nice, and the service was okay, but the food was terrible. Portions were very small, and nothing tasted good. The octopus was completely burned — we returned it, but still had to pay for it. None of the dishes were enjoyable, and our whole group was disappointed. On top of that, the bill was way too high for what we got. Definitely not worth it.
Service was friendly but not attentive, slow and items were missed. We were a table of four and not a busy day. Food looks nice when presented but taste was lackluster at best. The biscuits and gravy was tasteless, no amount of salt and pepper helped, we sent that dish back and replaced with a burrito, that came immediately (clearly pre-made) the rice was mushy and again the dish lacked seasoning. Used hot sauce add flavor and the sauce was more like marinara than hot sauce. The egg in the egg sandwich was awful! I have never seen an egg product so dense and again zero flavor, added sausage to the sandwich and that too was dense and tasteless. Additionally the home no fries were over cooked. The building and atmosphere is a fun fresh vibe but the food totally let it down. I had emailed two weeks ago to inquire about reserving the mezzanine for an event in November, when I received the quote I responded with questions and never received any further communication. 100% do NOT recommend and will not return.
