Personale gentile e attento.
Piccolo ristorante a pochi passi Ponte Vecchio. Proprietario e camerieri gentili e accoglienti.
We were sent to this restaurant by our Italian dentist in New Jersey! It was absolutely wonderful! The food was amazing! My steak was so soft probably the best I have ever had. Sadly I could not eat it all. The only disappointment was some small dog barking the whole time that the owners never stopped him. Very thoughtful. The staff were very accommodating and kind and were frustrated that Italy permits dogs in restaurants. The ambience is stunning such a beautiful medieval building. Easy to find across from a church.
We were lucky enough to visit the viral Stanley Tucci’s favourite restaurant in the beautiful Florence. We ordered the ravioli, meatballs, and wild boar pasta. It was spectacular. We also ordered their tiramisu and a affogato for dessert which was unmatched! Highly recommend making reservations and visiting the next time you’re in Florence!
The lines will tell it all! The staff are friendly, fast, and kind! Their food — I tried their Florence steak and OMG, it’s another way to fall in love with Florence! Their spritz — I could easily drink three of them and still want more! The sweetness and ratio in the Hugo spritz work like magic! Their tiramisu — a sweet kiss to end your meal. Traditional, legendary Italian tiramisu — as it should be! LOVE LOVE LOVE this place!
It’s almost impossible to choose only 3 dinner spots in Florence with so many good options available but I am SO glad this is one of the places we decided on. Between Reddit, Stanley Tucci and personal recommendations from friends this one felt like a no brainer. We had a 7:30 reservation for Wednesday evening and upon arrival and check in there were two lines. One for people waiting for a table with no reservation and one for people waiting for their table with a reservation. We arrived on time and were seated after about a 15 minute wait. The ambiance of the restaurant is super warm and cozy and the service was attentive. For dinner we ordered 3 different pastas to share. I really appreciated that they split each pasta for us before bringing them out. I know that they are know for their cinghiale pappardelle but our favorite pasta was the Chitarra Pomodoro with burrata. It was simple and perfect and I wish I was eating it right now. Tiramisu was great as well if you are a dessert person but I honestly could have also just gone for a fourth pasta. For sure make a reservation in advance and definitely prioritize this restaurant if you are visiting from out of town.
Dinner was excellent, there is a reason this place is popular! Highly recommend getting a reservation. Onion flan was exceptional, as well as the shrimp pasta and Florentine T-bone to share! Our waitress was great and had great recommendations as to what to try. Ended the night with a slice of chocolate cake — the best I’ve ever had.
Cross the Ponte Vecchio and head to this authentic Tuscan Osteria that specializes in local dishes with a nod to local game, like wild boar and rabbit. We enjoyed the spaghetti with shrimp and the baby pig. The interior is warm and inviting with many nooks, a vaulted ceiling and rustic decorations. Not expensive. Overall, a genuine Tuscan experience!
Absolutely worth the visit— a favorite from our Florence trip. When the server said best tiramisu — he wasn’t lying. It was incredible. The pesto pasta was great and my husband said the steak was incredible. The affogato was also delicious. We loved the pecorino tasting. Service was great. I highly recommend calling for a reservation. They have a good amount of seating, and they have a spot for no reservations outside the front door to line up and wait, but the line fills up. We called a couple weeks in advance for a reservation.
I would like to express my deep sense of gratitude to Osteria del Cinghiale Bianco for making my wife’s and my dinner there special earlier this month. I don’t recall the grandfather’s name, but he was an absolute gem of a person who was kind, funny, welcoming, charming and generous. Although my Italian is okay and his English was better than my Italian, he and I would speak in Italian, and he would effortlessly switch to English to speak to my wife to ensure she wasn’t left out of the conversation. Again, an absolute gentleman. We ordered a beautiful bottle of 2018 Vino Nobile di Montepulciano Riserva by TorCalvano, which paired quite nicely with the Ribollita, the Pappardelle al Ragu di Cinghiale and another pasta dish (a stuffed pasta, don’t remember the name) with a delicate rabbit sauce. My wife and I each had a caffe corretto with sambuca. And then the grandfather generously treated my wife and me to limoncello, a perfect way to finish our dinner. Grazie mille!!!!!!!
If you ever find yourself wandering the winding streets of Florence, make no mistake Osteria del Cinghiale Bianco deserves a place at the top of your dining list. From the moment you step in, you sense a restaurant built on passion for Tuscan tradition. It’s not just hype: Stanley Tucci himself featured this very spot on his Searching for Italy series, calling it one of his favorite Florence restaurants. We began with bruschetta that was impossibly fresh, and moved on to an aged pecorino that truly deserved world-class status. The house wine surprised us - superb character at a remarkably fair price. But the real star? The steak in Chianti sauce: cooked with precision, rich, tender - it felt almost indulgent to describe, and yet simply “incredible” only begins to capture it. Every bite was memorable. The tiramisu that followed was the poetic finale: a perfect balance, with that subtle yellow hue that whispers, “this is the real deal.” I’d boldly say it was a 10/10. As lovers of fine dining, we often measure an experience by whether it lingers: this one will stay with us. You don’t get better than this in Florence and some moments in life do indeed deserve to be unforgettable.
Absolutely loved the tomato pasta, so fresh and tangy, it was incredibly appetizing! And the desserts? Hands down the best of my entire trip! The panna cotta with mixed berries was divine, and the tiramisu was simply unforgettable. A must-visit for anyone craving exceptional Italian flavors! We had to queue close to 45mins to get a table (without reservation) but it was pretty worth it in our opinion!
So we went to a lot of places in our trip across Europe and I must say - this was not only the best food experience of the trip (very reasonably priced as well) but it was without question the best Italian food I ever had in my life. Great service and suggestions from our waiter, I am so sorry I forgot his name but he was as Italian as it gets in the best of ways, and some unbelievably memorable dishes-especially the onion flan.
We were visiting Italy and chose this spot for our first night in Florence, inspired by Stanley Tucci’s recommendation—and wow, it exceeded every expectation. We loved everything we ate. From the house wine to the unforgettable flan (sounds unusual, but trust me—you must try it), the wild boar pasta, and the perfectly cooked Florentine steak, every dish was a standout. If you're looking for a memorable, high-quality meal in Florence, this is the place to go. Agatha, our server, and Marco, the owner, made us feel incredibly welcome and added a personal touch to an already amazing evening. Call to make a reservation in advance!
A Hidden Gem in Florence. This is a family run treasure that delivers one of the most unforgettable dining experiences in the city. The Tagliata here is nothing short of perfection. The raviolis melt in your mouth with every bite. And don’t leave without trying the best tiramisu in the world! A must visit in Florence.
We stopped by and got a seat as a walk-in around 21:30, but it always seems to be fully booked out. The signature pasta is tasty but not as surprising as I expected. There are better places that serve tasty pasta. The service was very slow, and you had to call the staff all the time. The inside of the restaurant was very hot, and we were sweating as we were eating. It was good to try, but not my favorite.
We arrived without a reservation yet were seated within five minutes—an impressive start. As we were led through the kitchen to a back dining room, I half-expected to be handed a sponge and told to scrub pans as penance for our oversight. Thankfully, no such punishment was administered. The service was immediately striking. Before a single food order was taken, we were offered still or sparkling water—a small detail, but one that sets the tone for the entire evening. Drinks followed swiftly, along with a basket of fresh bread that was warm, soft, and undeniably tempting. For starters, we shared the Caprese salad. The mozzarella was impossibly creamy—like tasting the very essence of nature—and the tomatoes, ripe and bursting with flavor, were a perfect match. Bottles of balsamic vinegar and extra virgin olive oil were provided to drizzle as liberally as one dared. The bread proved an excellent vehicle for soaking up the remaining juices, leaving us perfectly primed for the next course. (A nearby child, however, succumbed to the food’s soporific powers and drifted off to sleep at the table—compliments to the chef for such culinary hypnosis.) Then came the pasta, and with it, a small revelation. I ordered the wide noodles with wild boar ragù—deep, rich, and perfectly balanced—while my partner opted for the mushroom tagliolini special, a dish that could easily have been mistaken for a chef’s personal masterpiece. Each bite was coated in sauce with precision, never heavy, always harmonious. The Chianti was a flawless pairing—so much so that I may be writing this with a pleasantly tipsy glow, aided by the attentive and charming service. Finally, dessert. We chose the trio to sample a bit of everything. The chocolate cake was rich, sophisticated, and satisfying—but the tiramisu deserved its own standing ovation. Entirely homemade, the sponge was soft and airy, free of the coarse sugar crystals that betray store-bought versions. The coffee was bold but never bitter, the mascarpone smooth and feather-light. On my personal (and admittedly wine-influenced) scale, it earns a confident 9.7/10.

The food here was very good but not sure it meets all the hype I’ve heard about it. The spinach and ricotta dumplings were our favorite dish we tried, and the tiramisu was actually disappointing (maybe our expectations were too high after hearing so many people say it’s the best). The ambiance and service, however, were impeccable! Would definitely still recommend and I still think this is the best restaurant we tried in our two days in Florence.
Returned to this place a couple of years later and this restaurant is still good. My advice, stick with the pasta though. The first trip in, I wasn’t impressed with the Florentine steak. The NY strip is always tougher, even aged, than the ribeye. This visit, the sauce on the filet ruined the flavor. The pasta dishes were all delicious and the owner is hands on, warm and generous.
From the almost hour wait to be seated despite our reservation, to the hard stale bread, everything was disappointing. Not enough staff and an overcrowded seating area left us further dissatisfied.…
When your main dish is at your table three minutes after the order has been placed, red flags started frantically waving. A pappardelle with boar ragu could only come out in such record time only if it has been reheated. The temperature was tepid, given the pasta no chance to absorb the ragu which in this case was so dry there was no sauce to be soaked up. The contorni of baked assorted vegetables was warmer in temperature but overcooked. So I grinned and bear it. The only disadvantage of dining solo is that once the dishes are served the server vanishes. I had to move my empty plates to the other side of the table for them to be noticed by the manager who only then picked them up. p.s. I was attracted by the elegant, restrained exterior of this restaurant plus the section of dining room visible from the street window. However showing up without a reservation got me a seat all the way on the back where the bar is (one has to walk through the side of the kitchen to get in). The atmosphere was so different from the front at that point I should have just walked out. But being a Friday night on a hopping tourist town made me stay.
This was our first meal in Florence during a 3-night stay, and sadly, it was our least favorite. Perhaps it is the traditional menu that it was known for, as we are more into modern flair. Or it could be the fact that we were here after having visited the best restaurant in San Mario and arguably the best Italian restaurant during our week-long road trip in central Italy! We asked several servers for the recommendation, and everyone suggested the pappardelle with wild boar and roast suckling pig….the pappardelle was delicious, but certainly not the best we had (I guess it gets tough after having been to 100 countries). The roast suckling pig was a different story…the meat was chewy and not tasty at all. We could barely finish our dish and left the restaurant unsatisfied. The service was hit and miss. The bartender warmed up to us after seeing us struggle to stay cool. But the server took a while to take our orders after we were seated at the table. The restaurant was buzzing though, even at late hours. I am sure there must be reasons that drew people here, we just didn’t get to taste the food that we enjoyed.
If you like cinghiale and if you are new to the town, or sightseeing, I recommend you this place but they separate the seatings: the tourists/first timers in the first close to the street place, and …

Persino i cantucci erano vecchi 🫣
