Growing up in Belize, this restaurant is my go to. It feels like home, the staff is more than amazing and the food is so authentic. We come here a couple times a month and each visit is spectacular. It is a must visit!

Got introduced to this place by a friend who is from Belize. He wanted real belizean food like from home and found this place. He invited me once and I was hooked. I always get the stew chicken plate with rice/beans and potato salad. The appetizer sampler is good and I absolutley love the belizean hotsauce they have here. If you are doing takeout they will sell you a bottle. Stuff is straight fire.

My first time eating at a Belizean restaurant. Of all days, it was their Independence Day. The Staff were friendly and gave us many suggestions. The tamales were out of this world, it might be my favorite tamale now and I'm Guatemalan btw. You get your money's worth. The sampler plate, jerk & fry chicken entrees were good. This location use to be Straw Hats Pizza so it also brought good memories when I use to go here with my siblings and parents. Great food, very authentic 👌🏼 😋 It's a low staffed restaurant, but the food is amazing, and the service is great.

For years now this has been my go-to place for Jerk chicken. It's the bomb. Not overly spicy, great portion. The only thing they need to work on are the plantains. They are consistently hard and have no flavor. I've been wanting to try the oxtails but I can't get passed the price. They might want to re-think that move. $35 for a portion with some rice and vegetables?? I rarely see anyone dining there. People are picking up a little plastic container of food with 2 pieces of meat and a side of rice and beans. Oh and a ranch dressing size cup of potato salad?? And you can't get it any bigger ( I asked) If I'm going to spend $35 on a plate of anything it needs to be in a fine dining restaurant. This is the little Carribean spot on Crenshaw?? I mean, I'm sure it's good but the price doesn't make sense.

I love this place!!! The anesthetics, the vibe, the presentation of the food, the food itself, the cleanliness absolutely amazing!!!!! A must try if you go to Los Angeles. The staff is professional, friendly and very knowledgeable of the menu. We got Chantel...she definitely is one of a kind when we dined in. I went back twice more in the same week. I do not give reviews but this place deserves every last star.

It was my second time here, though on the way over, I didn’t realize I’d been here before. I walked in and knew right away where I was. The food, service, atmosphere was great. Typically, I dine alone, so this was nice.

Really delicious Caribbean spot with friendly staff. Shared the appetizer platter with a friend - the ganaches were a standout but everything was tasty. For the entree, I got the stew chicken which was so savory. The rice and beans were great, I’d dip them in the stew sauce as I ate them. Potato salad was very good. My friends jerk chicken was also good, but definitely spicier. Highly recommend!

Highly recommend. One of the best restaurants I've eaten at in a long time, and somewhere I will definitely return to the next time I'm in the area. I visited with three friends, and we shared meals family style, so I can specifically say the curry chicken, garlic shrimp, and tacos were all some of the best I've eaten in each category.

Was there today an ordered the red snapper filet meal with a pineapple soda and was 🔥🔥🔥. Quiet but good atmosphere all around all in the city of Gardena. I'd definitely recommend anyone who's looking for a great Belizean restaurant to go to.

I visited this restuarant in June 2021 to honor - celebrate my daddy's 84th birthday and Father's day. He passed away a year ago. We has a pleasant experience from start to finish. The atmosphere was welcoming and warm. The staff was friendly, kind and attentive to our needs. The food was simply amazing. They surprised us at the end of our meal with a slice of heaven so we could pay tribute to my dad. Overall...I highly recommend this restaurant be written on your todo list

The food was good. We got Oxtails, jerk and stew chicken. The taste was excellent. The portion size of the meat did not meet the cost. We picked up togo orders and were surprised when we got home. I attached a picture of the oxtails. I gave them 5 stars because I didn’t have a chance to give them the opportunity to fix it.

Stopped in for lunch. Food is amazing. Service is wonderful. Must try the sampler. Be sure to get onion sauce. I got rice and beans stew chicken and potato salad with plantain. Hubs got jerk chicken with stew beans and white rice with coleslaw. The portions were good. Will be going back for breakfast

Excellent restaurant. One of my favorites! My family comes at least once a week. The food is authentic Belizean cuisine, so I don't have to catch a 4 hour flight and go through customs to enjoy it. The staff is also as good as the food. Sinclair is a true gentleman. Sometimes my family will rearrange their schedule to make sure we catch him on his shift. We have been coming to Blue Hole for many years and have had alot of great memories there. This includes birthdays, baby showers, evening parties, etc. My family knows the owner and her sons well, so it's always like coming to visit extended family. I couldn't recommend Blue Hole Restaurant enough. Even if you know nothing about Belizean food, I guarantee you will find something on the menu you will enjoy. And you can always ask the friendly staff for recommendations. I wish Blue hole restaurant many years of success. And thank you guys for being such a staple in the Caribbean community!

Saturday I picked up our order of Boil Up. The food was excellent and so tasty. It was enough for three meals. I also bought 2 poder bun and three coconut tart. If you never tried their food you are missing out. WYKYK.

The server(I think his name was Lesley?) answered all my questions and even offered a side of spicy, pickled chopped onions which gave the dishes an extra “umph”. First day, I ate the oxtail and it was fall off the bone(just be careful, some bones can be sharp). There was an option to replace a side with ducunu, which is kinda like a sweet tamale without the filling, and it was delicious! I saw their menu had a sample plate of Belizean food, so obviously I had to come back the next day and every single thing on that plate was delightful. If only I still lived in SoCal 😭 If I ever come back to Hawthorne, this place is the first place I’m coming to eat(other than In-n-out 🤣)

I found this restaurant on Google Maps and decided to try it out- I was happy I did! The stew chicken was very tender and the sampler platter was great to share. The food was great and the manager was fantastic-super welcoming and seemed to care a lot about the restaurant! That's a charm you don't get just anywhere. If you're in the area, don't pass it up.

The food is really good. The experience was something I will enjoy with the friendly service we received. It is in the expensive side for food. Two chicken tamales (tho they were pretty big), three coconut tarts, and one bottle of hot sauce cost me $42. Not recommended for the price however if you don't mind spending some money for the experience and good food. This is a spot you will really like.

I gave 5 ⭐️ for great customer service, and restaurant’s cleanliness, price was ok! My first time eating Belizean food wth my daughter. We both ordered stew chicken/rice & stew beans, all the food was dry tasting, marinate sause was watery, taste bland, and chikn was stringy tasting, and hard to chew! The chikn taste like it wasn’t freshly cooked, same for the rice & stew beans, plantains was dry, not sweet! You can tell the food is NOT COOKED TO ORDER, it’s been pre-prepared and warmed up when you order. The cabbage salad was extremely bitter!😖.. I exchanged for potato salad which was a small proportion. that taste ok. We also shared the Appetizer sampler plate which was good. Over all, I would eat here one more time, but try a difrnt meal, but if the meal isn’t good the second time, I will not be coming back to The Blue Hole again.

Today I stop by and purchase Stew beans and stew beef which cost 25 and change, the meat itself was not freshly made, it tastes like it been cooked two days ago and it was hard to chew, so I'm a little disappointed with the food.

My family and I would love to eat there when it was called Mars but now it's under new ownership and there food took a hit because the curry shrimp was served in a small bowl compare to Mars and it was $25 my daughter ordered salbutes and looked at her mom and said mom i love yours is better yours have way more flavor an my wife ordered cow foot soup and it taste like its been sitting in the fridge for days an no flavor am sickening with Peppers Belizean & Jamaican restaurants

Miss Mars food was really tasty like back home. I was going there for years. New owner food looks good, but Doesn't taste good rice and beans no Taste and the chicken also no taste. Fish panades also not good. The only thing that taste good was the onion for the panades 🙁 Sorry im one less coustomer for you.

This review is 100% honest and based on my genuine opinion. The food at this restaurant is horrible. I threw the whole plate of food in the trash can when I reach home. I am a true Belizean, and I don’t know what they are serving. This place uses to be Mars, and it was delicious. The new owners are not from Belize. Carrots in the oxtail? And the oxtail boiled??? The rice and beans looked like dog food. Omg, I might have nightmares. $25 for a plate of oxtail is obnoxious. I give it a few months, and this place will close down. I’ll never be returning; instead, I will go to Little Belize in Inglewood.

The milk cake was disgusting. I've never eaten cornbread with caramel on top but I imagine that's what it was. However the powder buns were good.

Ambiance is nice. Over priced for the amount of food they give you. Joan and sisters is much better. You get your money worth at joan and sisters. 💯

The food was over priced and not worth it at all!! The server was good but the food wasn't! It was better when it was Mars!! The oxtails we're full of bones!! The cabbage was gross! And the potato salad was watered down. Money wasted and I would never recommend them to my enemy. And the owner / manager is full of I!! And you need to hire some real Belizean cooks. So disappointed ☹️☹️☹️☹️☹️☹️ Your just taking people money and server low quality Food!! Robbery!!

Definitely wasn’t grandmas Belizean food. Rice and beans was dry and oxtail had no flavor at all. As soon as I opened the plate in could tell by the color they weren’t going to be good and the fat was not trimmed. Much better belizean restaurants on the other side of town. Will travel next time.
