Barbary Restaurant & Lounge

Service was good, and food was tasty. I would of however preferred a better menu to choose from Good value for money, decent size portions. No long wait on food. Nice view from outside deck and windows. Restaurant is situated in the breakfast area, it seems.

Great atmosphere. Good service. The food was OK but we expected better.

Friendly staff but expect to get made to wait when there is empty tables so you can spend you money at the bar and to me I think I got served microwave mash but judge the picture yourself

It was good. Not the best I've been to, being an old schooler. Enjoyed the General Tommo.

The food quality is great, the atmosphere is great with good live music, but unfortunately all ruined by bad service. The staff is nice, but they're either not trained properly, or something is really badly done in terms of restaurant layout. The waiters came to take our orders in the beginning, but we haven't seen them since, it was difficult ordering additional drinks, asking questions, and asking/paying the bill. The staff should check up on customers every now and then, at least that was my expectation. The food quality, the drinks and the live music were awesome though.. the place has all the conditions to make for a great dinner out

Good food, but the balance on the plate is missing completely (e.g. super thin base of couscous with a full chicken breast on top - ending up eating meat only, nice humus starter with a super tiny pita bread etc.) Staff was ok, one of them very very nice actually, but the quality of service compared to our previous experiences here is very low. Not sure if will come back again soon

Food and drink are great - but the staff are diabolical. Little more care & attention, they would have it right.

Took long and raw food

Group of 11 friends for Christmas dinner in December 2025. Food was absolute tasteless (apart from one - the sole). Zero ambiance. Lighting way too bright. Singer was rubbish. Charged 12.5% service regardless of quality of food or service. We were all so disappointed and to be honest angry. Management and staff - - taste the food!

Standards seem to have slipped since Christmas 2020 - it wasn’t as high quality as previously experienced. Steak size was small considering the expensive set Christmas meal. Service was bad. Our team were waiting for a long time for our meals. People were not delivered their mains/starters at the same time - we were waiting several minutes with the food going cold for everyone’s dish to be delivered. And there was only 1 table at the time, so they were not busy - no real excuse. Also, staff didn’t ask once if we needed more drinks. We had to wave them down. And they required pre-payment in full. Poor experience considering the high expense. Would recommend going anywhere else.
