Is my go to when I want something fast

The food here is epic. My top favorite things to get are the super burrito with carne asada, chicken quesadilla, and super tacos with carnitas. Pay attention for when they call out your order. The more time it sits there, the more colder your food will get. The register holds the key to the bathroom if you're wondering. Cleanliness is pretty good. I've never had the misfortune of sitting at a dirty table. I would highly recommend this place especially for the THICC super burritos.

Best food in my opinion . I visit from outta town! WE Don't have Taqueria in the Valley just other owned taco places. Fast n friendly staff! I found my puppies a home there met nice people . lol 😉

No matter what item you order off their menu... IT'S ALWAYS DELICIOUS MOUTH WATERING! Ingredients are always so fresh, salsas so spicy and tasty! I enjoy their food I like eating here... The only down fall here is their employees seem mad upset angry just simply RUDE their is no hello no nothing it's like order your food and get out! They don't Greet their Customer. I guess these Super Taqueria- people don't realize that if we didn't come in to order food cashiers, cooks and the whole gang would not have a job! A welcoming Hello has never hurt anyone...

It's nothing fancy, but it's fast, cheap, and tasty. Can't beat the price point and have only been let down once when my carnitas were super dry and crunchy - it was near closing. I recommend not going within 1 hour of closing to get best quality.

This was my first time coming to this place and man were those tacos good!! Since we are in covid times they only offered take out so we got 3 tacos each to go. When I first saw them I thought they were a burrito by the way they were wrapped but they were just really big tacos. The salsas they give out had great flavor and were spicy! I'd come back.

Really good fast food at very reasonable prices. Awesome choice of meat fillings for burritos and tacos. They dont scrimp either. Not a really large selection, just burritos, tacos, nachos and a few other items. No quasi Mexican/Asian fusion gimmicks. Bring cash as they are cash only. They have an ATM but it's expensive. It's just really good, really fast and the portions are very generous. Everything is assembled in front of you so you can see how clean they are.

Fresh tonight very delicious! Always friendly staff even thought I don't speak much Spanish they are always willing to get the order correct! And they accept card now yay!!!!

I'd give it a 5 star since the food is great. You get free soda refills and it has plenty of tables so even if it is crowded, you usually find a place to seat. The staff is friendly and fast because even if you see a long line to order, you don't have to wait that long for your food to be ready.

Had to stop before heading back to the central valley and grab 2 super burritos from here. Love the burritos here and always have, even when I lived in the Bay. Meat, beans and avocado always taste fresh. You guys never disappoint me.

Food was just like I remember it. We haven't been here in a couple of years. My husband was so addicted to this place ate their 2 times a day sometimes. We were only in town overnight and he had to eat at super taqueria. No talking him out of it. I also enjoyed the food not like him but I give it5 stars definitely great food here.

Always great food, you can't go wrong with Super Taqueria. My only question is when is the owner going to stop being cheap and install a credit card machine so you aren't stuck paying cashing or using their atm (that the charge goes to the owner). But like I said always constantly amazing food.

Food is probably not totally authentic but pretty close. It is definitely totally delicious. Super Tacos are a favorite. Burritos awesome and Tortas as well. Hard to go wrong here. Green salsa is very tasty.

Just love this place! Used to go here at the 10th street location in San Jose during my college days. After moving to Gilroy, I was ecstatic to find this local location! My fiance also loves their food. Consistent quality, the green salsa is consistent everytime. Good vegetarian options as well.

The place is authentic and the food served is hot and fresh. I like their fresh salsa in the bottles.

You can't go wrong eating at this restaurant. Everything prepared quickly and to perfection. Whether you're a Carne asada kinda person or how bout walking on the wild side and try the cabeza super tacos...yum! And on top of all of that it's affordable. Around $3.00 and some change....burritos about 8 or 9 bucks. And the place is clean . Staff is friendly. Not much ambiance here. It's strictly about the food and nothing else

Really tasty carne asada burritos, tacos, quesadillas and tostadas. There red hot sauce is sooooo good. The green hot sause is delicious but not quite as spicy as the red. I sometimes buy a large container to bring home. They always have fresh Serrano peppers and cilantro if you ask for it. Their burritos are really big and moat of them are priced less than 10 dollars. Tostadas are also very reasonably priced . Where else can you get a carnitas tostada with quacamole for around four dollars. They have the best overall prices if you are trying to save a buck. They are really good at making your food to order just the way you like it. The one on 10th Street always has a line but they get you out quick. I am totally addicted to it.

Great places for Mexican food! Grilled beef (adado) and beef tongue (lengua) taste very juicy and chewy, no matter the taco or burrito, both are very flavorful! The portion is huge and the price is very inexpensive.

I was wrong. To quote the great Michael Scott, "it takes a big man to admit his mistakes, and I'm that big man". My friend tried to tell me that no taqueria can beat Super Taqueria. I told him he was wrong, which in hindsight seems crazy. How could any normal taqueria beat a "super" taqueria? That's like if Mario beat Super Mario...it's not going to happen. If only my foresight saw my hindsight, then my current sight would have been clear. I had recently tried a taqueria and was convinced it was the best ever. I made my friend try it too and while he liked it, he still informed me that it wasn't better than Super Taqueria. I hadn't tried Super Taqueria for a while, but I was still convinced that he had no idea what he was talking about. A week later we decided to get Super Taqueria. I was wary, but still tried to come in with an open mind. My open mind ended up turning into a blown mind. The food was insanely good. I got a burrito and nachos. There must have been 10 avocados worth of guacamole with the burrito and nachos. It was at that point that I realized I was wrong. As much as I hated being wrong, it was impossible to deny the greatness of Super Taqueria. It's my new favorite taqueria.

Great value, a quality super burrito for under 7 dollars! The facility looks brand new inside and out, and was busy but not too crowded on Friday night. A decent burrito plus a salsa bar is a recipe for a good Taqueria in my book.

Super Taq used to actually be super! As a local institution for over 30 years and being the home of the Super Taco, I've expected the best from them. But today, I was let down again. The torta I ate lacked not only flavor but actual ingredients! They were so light on the sour cream, avo, and meat that I had to double check my order! My lunch partner enjoyed her super tacos de asada. No complaints. The staff was great. The place is always clean, too. My other issue is that it is STILL CASH ONLY!! Grrr! 😡

I moved out of the area so whenever I come to town I hit up my favorite places to eat and this is one of them. It brings back great memories of growing up nearby and the food is pretty good too. The only reason I won't give it 5 stars is because they only take cash, I always forget and am disappointed at the checkout. It's rare I use cash these days. Now, of course there is an ATM in their lobby, but who wants those added fees? Especially these days! The moral of this story: Cash is King! Hmm. I need to hit up King Egg Rolls while I'm here 😃.

Foods great they load up the tacos, quesadillas or burrito with whichever choice of meat you get. They have red and green salsa not to spicy. Also have agua frescas the horchata is my favorite not to sweet. The atmosphere is great and workers are nice. If you want any cilantro, onions, napkins, forks, spoons, etc. you have to ask the cashier. Overall great place to try out.

Food was not what I remember it being. Before the meats had better flavor, there was cheese in it, not the food of before. Service definitely needs improvement. The lady taking the order was rude and not courteous, at all. It was as if we were bothering her by being there. Nothing pleasant about dealing with her. The atmosphere used to be lively, the cooks were talking and interacting with the patrons. This time there were a couple young families with kids. A family traveling through, probably to share and remember what obviously is no longer there. I was around in the beginnings of this business, when they were in an old biker bar along Monterey highway in Morgan Hill. They've come a long ways, forgot to bring the flavors, charms and personality from before, though.

The service is always amazing. All staff are always professional and orders are filled accurately. Food is always served hot add fresh but I feel that it lacks in flavor and for some reason it's always very wet. Today I'm eating my burrito and halfway through it's just dripping everywhere. It's one thing for food to be moist and juicie...it's another for it to be soggy and wet. Today my burrito was soggy and white. Sorry

To this day this is my favorite Mexican food. Everything is always extremely fresh it makes my mouth water thinking about it. Is portions are re usually pretty healthy. It depends on what day of the week you go there whether the staff is decent or not. For the most part they're pretty good.

I usually call in my order, so that I can pick it up and go. However, every time I call, they assume that I speak spanish, and then the person puts me on hold for at least 4 minutes. I can hear them taking other customer's orders that are in front of them, but I am a paying customer as well! I travel to all Super Taqs in the surrounding area and this is by far the worst customer service. 🤨 The food is great and that is the reason I keep going back. 😋

Nice find for me, thought I would get a small burrito for $5.89 but the burrito was much larger than I expected. I added avocado for only .50. Choice of whole or smash beans grew or red sauce. I love chips with my food and they don’t come with the burrito and to order a small side it’s $2 I wish they had a .50 side hand full of chips but they don’t. Good food clean place and generous serving sizes

We had the chicken soft shell super tacos . Tacos come with chicken, whole pinto beans pico de gallo based taco sauce, melted cheese, avocado & 2 tortillas. The chicken is really soupy overly wet, making the tortillas fall apart. The second tortilla was soft fried, overly greasy . Same thing falling apart. The tacos basically became finger food because of the wet tortillas falling apart. You end up eating your tacos with a fork. Which I believe is sacrilegious to a taco . It's like eating a tamale with the husk still on . Not right! Anyway, maybe it's a new trend with the fried tortilla in the tacos that I'm not aware of . Now I know why people were saying "no tortillas fritas" Translation no fried tortillas . Needless to say no more, soupy fried tortilla tacos. Hopefully, the Morgan Hill restaurant still has the old style tacos minus the fried soupy tacos !

It was a nice place. I had a super Nacho. And I wasn't a fan. It was to soggy for me . Everthing just piled on. Chips limp. I was hoping for crisp Chips. Something I could use to pickup with. Ended up eating it with a fork 😖 plus 3 super burietos. My son said they where good.

Good food but they don't always give you your entire order when ordering for pick up. I usually make sure to check everything to make sure they give me what I ordered. So far so good up until today. I ordered from the Gilroy location and was on my way to Hollister and had faith that because I had a small order (a order of 5 things) that they would be able to give me everything. To my surprise I reached Hollister and unpacked everything to eat but was shorted one item and another was not made they way I ordered as well. I called to inform them that they should make sure that their employees give their costumers what they ordered. I was offered to come pick up the rest of my order which I declined because of the traffic. I had to repeat my concern over and over until the lady on the phone understood that I was serious about her informing the rest of the staff to give the entire order to their costumers not just a part of it.

For some reason, their Super Tacos are smaller than the ones in San Jose. The flavor in the taco is good, but they are also sloppy about wrapping the tacos. I opened my tacos and everything scattered all over. I ordered 2 vegetarian and 4 meat. I had to open every taco just to find the vegetarian tacos. Sooo messy. And this isn't the first time they been messy. I've come before and same service- everything all over the place when I open my tacos. Their not SUPER like in San Jose Super Taquerias.

I used to go to this restaurant in San Jose about 20 years ago and it was really good. I took my son and told him it was really good back in the day. The food was ok, nothing to write home about.

I honestly did not care for the tacos. I heard this place used to be amazing, but ever since they have franchised it now just taste like franchised food. There is no flavor! It is meant to be just fast food. They do offer fast service, I must say. However, if you are looking for some great anthintic tacos this place is not for you. I visited it while on my travels and do not plan on stopping next visit. The food is held on a line to keep it hot and ready to go, but it is sitting there in liquid to keep it from drying out and it just sits and over cooks and turns bland. 5 stars for speedy service, stop by if you are in a rush. 2 stars for taste, so I gave them an average vote of 3 stars.

Cash only. Good parking. Ordered a super taco with carne asada. Enjoyed the fresh and perfectly ripe avocado on it. Given the amount of good reviews, I'm surprised that the steak in the taco was tough and bland. Also ordered burrito and nacho with carnitas. The nacho had a huge amount of carnitas on it. Overall, it's a convenient place to stop and grab some fast food but won't go out of my way to go there.

Place has gone down hill. Burritos not as fresh and skimpy on the meat. Filled with mostly old/over cooked refried beans. The location is overrun with drunk/drugged vagrants..... Not recommended for families with small kid. Bums looking into my car in the lot (as I was walking inside) looking for something to steal.

I am sorry to say it was horrible. After repeating order 7 times to cashier, over the load music. Our order was totally wrong. Said no rice on two of our burritos, which there was. Said just chicken and cheese on one burrito, rice and onions. Then they forgot 2 of our burritos. Unwilling to fix order. I will not be going back there again.

Food is decent but they only accept cash so I will only be eating there from time to time as I never have cash on me. When I ordered through the phone they never mentioned their prehistoric policy on credit cards so I was unable to eat the food I ordered. Owner must be 70+ and grew up without credit cards so doesn’t get the need to accept them. At very least charge 3% (usually max fee charged by credit card companies) to those wanting to use credit cards.

Edible. Giant super burrito is the size of a typical normal burrito. Tortilla wasn't good. Meat, beans, rice, and avocado, that was it. Only 2 salsas, no chips. Not coming back.

Very underwhelmed with my experience here. First of all, my order took FOREVER to come out and secondly, they gave me a corn tortilla with carne asada and a little bit of cheese sprinkled on top of it. I specifically asked for a quesadilla. Idk about y'all, but that's no quesadilla! The meat was alright, nothing special.

They have the worst phone service and worst people skills ever 😔 raza can do better. you literally have to go into this place just to place an order because there's short staffed and they cannot take orders over the phone they'll leave you on hold for literally up to 5 to 10 minutes while they take orders for other people You're better off walking inside to take an order other than that I've had good and bad experiences with this particular place in Gilroy the old location was way better than the new location prices also went up. The attitude you get from staff now a days is crazy 😧 I rather take a drive to San Jose locations 🫡🤷🏾‍♂️ way better food and service 😁 Gilroy location you have failed in customer service

First time on this location but we got ripped off. Overcharged us for the 3 super burritos with no beans for son's dinner. Signs are not clear. $0.25 more for flour/tortilla but receipt shows for meat. If the cashier can only speak English, she could have explain the menu and right menu to choose. Watch out for your receipt, you work hard for that plus it's the principle. Is it because we don't speak Spanish? It wasn't a good first time experience + the bad luck continues because the drink was not properly closed and it spill inside our car.

Their was a young girl she has a bad attitude she was taking my order and hurting me up wen I was deciding wat to get for my stepson to eat. Not just that made a big order of burritos and tacos. And my meats were still not cooked good really chewy and we could eat it at all my boyfriend got really upset and threw it all away it not the first time it happens it happens couple of times already We go to gilroy every Monday to see my stepson he always wants to eat their last time we got. Tortas and the meat was also not cooked right and on my stepson taco it had a moth on it this is the only super taqueria that this has happens

From San Jose they are very different the carne asada was dry unseasoned carnitas too.... The horchata was watered down and needed cinnamon.2 thumbs down.the service was unfriendly and rude .

Food is good just don't order a torta they might just give you a reheated one that someone ordered and never picked up. They gave me two, kind of ruined my taste for this place.

Super went totally down hill. Come if you want fat and tendon on your steak burrito. The burritos are 80%beans 20%meat/tendon. I've been going to Super for years since the first opened in SJ. Go to Tacos Ameca's next door instead .Way better.

There food is ok. I've been here multiple times now and received absolutely horrible customer service. The lady taking my order literally laughed at me for asking for cilantro, limes and extra pico, and then charged me more. What a joke, the Morgan Hill Super T has never once treated me with such disrespect and humiliation. I will NEVER be going back to this sad establishment.

Deeply strongly disappointed. Menu looks okay but is a bit confusing. Tacos were basically flavorless, salsas were weird, no carrots or radishes and they didn't give us enough lemons slices. I have mixed feelings about this place. Last time I came in hungry only to get a small burrito with hardly any meat in it. The burrito was skinny and light. I was disappointed felt like a waste of money.

Mexican Place? This is not authentic food. We ordered regular tacos, not only was the meat dry and chopped so much it looked like mush, the taco was filled with beans and crushed tomatoes, a poor pico de gallo attempt. Tortillas were soggy and not good. Service wasn’t great either, cashier was not welcoming and did not want to take orders. Do not recommend coming to this place. Learn to cook actual tacos before serving this.

This was our first time trying this place, and unfortunately, it didn’t go well. As we stood in line to order, the cashier didn’t greet us, so we just started with our order: nachos, torta, and a burrito. We asked if we could have grilled chicken on the nachos, but they said they only had shredded chicken. We were bummed, we went ahead and tried the food anyway. While waiting, we noticed that the cooks were announcing orders in Spanish. Since we don’t speak Spanish, we couldn’t understand when our order was ready, and we had to guess when it was ours. I understand this is a Mexican restaurant, but I feel like they should have someone who speaks English to help customers like us. When we finally got our food, we realized they had given us a tostada instead of the torta. The cashier didn’t apologize, just took it back and had it remade. Then, we were looking for to-go salsa containers. They had lids but no bowls. I asked one of the cooks, but he didn’t speak English, so another customer told me I had to ask the cashier. When I did, she just pointed to the pre-filled salsa bottles, which weren’t what I was looking for. Overall, the customer service was disappointing, and the food wasn’t great either—we didn’t even finish it. We definitely won’t be coming back.

I’ve never written a bad review & I have always had good experiences eating at Super Taqueria. But recently I have had horrible experiences with a worker by the name of Lorena. Several times I’ve been basically rushed off my table when dining in. Additionally, when she has been cashier she has given me horrible attitude & been extremely rude. I have even heard her make negative comments about me in Spanish. Most recently I was standing in line to order & when it was my turn to order she completely ignored me & skipped over me to call the next person in line. Once I said it was my turn she still ignored me. To avoid any confrontation I just waited in line for the next cashier which was extremely polite. I reiterate, I have never had any other bad experiences with other employees or the restaurant itself. They have amazing people & amazing food. I am simply writing this review to report how I have time after time been treated rudely by the same person.

I ordered a super carne asada burrito without beans, no salsa and add sour cream. My burrito had beans! I took it back up to the front. Girl asked for my receipt. She said, no salsa. I said and no beans. You repeated the order back to me, but forgot to add no beans! She tells her manager, and manager tells me she would add extra. Wth?! Why cuz I want no beans? She said, cuz then we have to put more meat. No, no.....put exactly what you put in a super burrito and subtract the beans. It's not that hard. The Manager was rude especially when I told her I didn't understand Spanish. Their burritos must be all beans if they didn't want to subtract the beans. Not my problem. I will NEVER come back to this Gilroy location! The manager ended up refunding my money because she didn't know how else to rip me off. Lilia and Abby, your customer service sucks!! You are not people friendly.

This location sucks compared to hollister and Morgan hill. The asada is always chewy and skimpy. Always seem to get a head ache after I eat here as well. Anyone else getting headaches after super taqueria?

Very disappointing experience. I ordered an asada quesadilla with no pico, but was given just a plain cheese quesadilla. When we went back to let the server know (Marielena) about the mistake, we were polite and respectful. Instead of fixing it, Marielena became defensive and insisted that’s how I ordered it — which was not true. We calmly said okay and reordered an asada quesadilla with no pico. The second order was still wrong. This time, we were given a quesadilla with only pico and no asada at all. Mistakes happen, but being defensive and getting the order wrong twice after it was clearly explained is frustrating. Better communication and customer service from Marielena would have made a big difference. Unfortunately, this experience left a very negative impression.

This place was highly recommended to us so we were looking forward to it! We came down Thursday around 3:00pm. One of our burritos was made wrong so we told the gentleman who made it. Out of no where another female employee started telling us we were wrong and handed the burrito back to us. She than turns around and starts speaking Spanish talking crap to the surrounding staff. We are light skin almost looking white but we are actually South American! So when I started speaking Spanish she was pretty shocked but she still continued with her attitude. It turns out she was the manager and i think it's very sad that one of her staff members came outside to apologize for her behavior! Abby should be replaced with some one with class, respect and knows how to act professional in a professional setting! Afterwards She denied talking crap which speaks volumes about her character in and out side of her place of employment! Super Taqueria has very delicious food and I highly recommend it! I will definitely give this place another chance and hopefully by than this place will some one who can lead by example!!!

I ordered three burritos . The lazy preparer stacked up three tortillas on the heating machine burning the tortilla on the bottom and making soggy the tortillas overlapped . The tortillas on top weren't even warm (management has an obvious disregard for this staff ). It seems other people have complaint about the tortilla of the burritos on Yelp. Might as well give me a frozen tortilla. Soggy burrito (gross).

Over the years this place has gone from amazing to horrible. The customer service is okay, but the food is simply just plain salty and gross. This was my favorite place to eat tacos in all California, but it is no longer what it used to be. DO NOT RECOMMEND!! The quality of their meat has become horrible, too.
