I might have lost on Bingo Night, but i had a great dining experience Just because the name of the restaurant resembles the bluegrass band The Grateful Dead (of which I'm really not a fan personally), doesn't mean you won't enjoy the local joint atmosphere I had a nice time dining here, and if i ever come back to Glens Falls from Long Island, i can guarantee I'll prob stop by once again 5 stars

Yesterday 6-3-2020 was my first visit. Got an order to go and the Den philly was excellent. Dave-behind the bar was extremely friendly. I will definitely go back for the food and for drinks once places begin to open.

The food is very good, the beer is awesome and the live music is cool. Every time I go I'm worried because there are so few people there. Go give this place a try. It is weird and a little off, but so funky!

What a Grate(ful) place! I am in from Rochester for work and a Dead Head so I had to check it out! Wings were FANTASTIC! Cooked perfectly and when I asked if I could have 5 Buffalo Hot and 5 Thai Chili, the very nice bartender said SURE! She asked if I wanted Blue Cheese or Ranch and that signaled loud and clear I was getting to far away from Buffalo (Ranch is NOT a thing for true buffalo wings)!!! THEY HAD GENNY BLUE! Then two guys started jamming a ton of Gerry and GD! Pretty close to heaven! I'm going back!

We did not expect this to be such a fun place with fantastic food. The live duo was amazing! Fun decor, too. I would visit often if I lived nearby.

The Grateful Den has my favorite Brews, their drink prices are inexpensive, and the food is EXCELLENT!! Highly recommend the Beer Mac N Cheese and wings. Pair that with their atmosphere and live entertainment and you’ve got something to be grateful for!!

My husband and I were looking for a spot to eat by our hotel and The Grateful Den showed up near the top of our Google search, so we decided to check it out. It's a little unassuming from the outside, but truly an awesome gem with great food, service, and atmosphere. We had the fried pickles, a buffalo chicken wrap w/ tater tots, and a shrimp po boy w/ fries - everything was delicious and seasoned really well. For a smaller bar, they had a pretty extensive drink menu with lots of different draft/can options. And we ended up coming on Open Mic night, so the atmosphere was fun and inviting. The bartender/server was super attentive and friendly as well, even with a full crowd. Overall, would definitely recommend!

I’d take a picture, but I ate it so fast I didn’t have time to. This place turned out to be the best ‘dive’ bar that wasn’t a dive bar at all. It’s warm, welcoming, great music, has awesome owners, and even better food. Will be back for sure.

I haven't been out for a beer since covid started and walked past this place on my way to Stewart's for a few years until today. I needed it, lost my last family member on the 29th. Thanks Bernie! Thank you Grateful Den, should have stopped in long before now.

I’ve been here a lot. It’s always a great vibe with an excellent beer selection. There is always something going on, whether it be live music, open mic night or trivia. The menu has something for everyone. If you haven’t tried their wings, you’re missing out!

This casual American Pub did anything but disappoint with their well above mediocre food flavored with JUST enough salt.....and service that was A-OK! The only way the tap water could have been more refreshing is if it was their incredible sparkling water instead. I didn't order a Shirley temple because I'm an adult but the vodka is always cold and smooth. The beer selection was out of this world and LIVE music that was so non-flat it may as well have been the Rocky Mountains!

It was after 9pm on a Thursday when we pulled off of 87 for the night. We figured it would be a fast food for dinner night because of the time, but a quick search of the area returned the Grateful Den as an open option. We went for it and we were happy we did. Great burgers, great poutine, great beers on tap. Coupled with friendly staff, we are so happy we drove the extra 0.7 off a mile.

The Den is one of our favorite local spots. Their pub style food is delicious. We especially love snacking on the warm pretzel and chicken empanada. They have lots of choices for local beers and tasty mixed cocktails. You can join in on karaoke, trivia or listen to great hometown bands.

Best Poutine fries around. The gray they use is out of this world. Liked it so much had the Garcia burger also loaded with this delicious gravy. Food is always delicious, Great choice of craft beers too. A must visit when in Glens Falls.

If I ever recommended a place to summer tourists besides the Grateful Den I would have to sit in silence for a solid 2 hours to really hone in the shame of that lie. This place has cheap drinks and food (that is incredible), the bartenders couldn’t be cooler human beings even if they tried and they have live music and events every Thursday through Saturday…not sure what more you could ask for in a bar but if there was more I’d want to see it with my own eyes

We went out to see Captial Zen and they did not disappoint! The bartender is always extremely nice and the owners are absolutely lovely! We didn't get food this time but they have great food as well!

This is my first experience with The Grateful Den. My wife and I each ordered a poutine that I picked up and brought home. It was absolutely delicious, although not true poutine. Instead of gravy, it came with a cheese sauce that had, what I assume, sausage crumbles, in it. If the rest of the menu is as good as this was, we will definitely be ordering from here mote often.

Food was excellent, but a little heavy on the salt, so be aware of that if you are sensitive. The service was excellent. Everyone in our party liked the food. The live music was super loud, but very talented. I would highly recommend it.

I've been here twice and had a great experience each time. I don't live in the area and still haven't made it to west mountain, but have stopped here during road trips. Will definitely keep on popping in for some food and a beer on a trip up north but hoping to make it to west mountain and go here as well. It's a great spot. Food is good, they have a solid draft list, and service is great. It's a quirky little spot and that makes it even more worth it to stop on by.

We visited Thursday night to check out the trivia night that we heard so much about. We were promptly seated by Amy who suggested a certain spot to hear the questions from. We ordered some apps and some drinks. I stopped a fellow and asked if he was Dave, the owner. He said he was and chatted a bit. The food arrived and let me tell you the pretzel with beer cheese or whatever it is called screamed for a second order. Trivia was fun although I'd like to see a few less phones out. Although there was a younger crowd,we were very comfortable.

I have been coming here since The new owners took it over 4-5 or so years ago, As a patron, I absolutely love this place! The owners and bartenders are amazing and the food is great! The pountine and the wings are my favorite! Possibly the best variety of beers on tap around anywhere! They always keep there lines clean and make sure the kegs are fresh. As a musician this is one of my favorite venues to play! And there isn't anywhere around that supports local musicians like this place does! Very warm and inviting. Couldn't ask for a better place to hang out or better people to hang out with!

A little gem in Glens Falls, and we will definitely be visiting again if we're in the area. Fried pickles were awesome, and the chicken wings were huge, crispy, and the sauces were delicious. I had the house mac and cheese with jalapenos and it did not disappoint (asked for a little extra cheese sauce👍). Our server was extremely kind, helpful, and attentive. Homey atmosphere and tasty grub, all around great spot! So glad we stopped in!

This place has yet to disappoint! We have been coming at least once a week since opening and will continue the tradition💝 The atmosphere is nice and inviting, not rowdy or super loud. The wings are absolutely delicious and perfect EVERY SINGLE TIME! This week we had wings again of course but also ordered a burger and it was also very delicious! I normally don't order hamburgers out, but I'm glad I did! It was cooked to the perfect temp and the fries are nice and crispy🤗 we are always served by a happy bartender who loves their job( which is a plus)

This is a small bar. Not a restaurant/pub. Very small with uncomfortable chairs at the tables which are fairly close together. The tables by the bathrooms are not ideal as every time someone opens the bathroom door you get blasted with cold air. The man that was servicing the bar and the tables was excellent. Very friendly and good at his job. The food was pretty good. The music was great.

Based on previous reviews, I think I just expected better atmosphere, better service. The food tasted good for pub food but the portions were small. I am glad I tried this restaurant but will probably not return.

Great food, and good beer. There was some musical entertainment that was pretty good as well,although a bit too loud for conversations. The waitress although very nice and attentive did seem to be out numbered by guests and very busy. So service did lack. Still a very pleasant experience. Get the Reuben you won't be sorry.

My friends got their chicken slad wrap and thr cheeseburger wrap. Both were excellent! Great service, friendly patrons and live music. What could be better? We will definitely be back!

What an awesome vibe. The pub food menu has something for everyone and I’ve never had anything that I didn’t like (my favorite snack are the pretzels and cheese). The music scene is cool with many talented musicians. The owners and staff really provide their customers with a positive experience and make you feel like you belong.

Stopped on our way up north on a Friday night and got some nachos (plus for being able to get half order) and a burger with fries (nicely seasoned). Large group was taking up a lot of space in the middle of the place, making it hard to get around and had to sit by door to kitchen.

This casual American pub disappointed with mediocre food, salty dishes, and okay service. The burgers, served medium well, were average at best. Even the tap water, sparkling water, and Shirley Temple mocktail had an aftertaste. The beer selection was the highlight, but the live music fell flat. Overall, the experience left much to be desired.

So all this place takes is someone wanting a private party n then all other customers mean nothing. First a last time I try to order food from there. Dont care. If they have carry out people should still be able to order. But nope

Wow! Read reviews drove an hour to check out. The server was rude at first interaction then insisted to secure a c.c. when we were paying cash. Also never even took our order. WILL NEVER come again. Even the regulars commented on how rude the barmaid was. Its ok we will take our business elsewhere.

My wife and I went out for a rare meal out and drink, read good reviews decided to try it. The bar staff( blonde, poorly dressed female ) was so rude we didn't even finish our drinks, cancelled food order and left. What a real let down. If staff is too stressed maybe she should quit. Missed a $100 easy. I would not try it.
