Recensioni di Joy Luck Grand Prairie
My mom and kids have loved this place for a while, so I finally decided to give it a try myself—and I wasn’t disappointed. The food was really tasty and the portions were generous. The worker, who I assume is the owner, is always smiling and very friendly, which makes the experience even better. Definitely a great spot!
I'm constantly stopping in local spots for lunch to eat and work. Really enjoyed this place. House made sweet and sour is a nice touch. Good portions and felt very welcome.
You might as well forget about any other Chinese food place you go to. Joy Luck is all that matters. Perfect portions and the chicken is actually more chicken than breading! ....restaurant is very clean (not sure what the negative reviews were referring to, probably just some haters). And they have a drive-thru window. Overall, TOP NOTCH!
Recently started going to Joy Luck. I get the Broccoli plate with combination for myself & the Curry plate with chicken for my husband & it has been yummy every time! Will keep going back! ❤️
I have been going here since I was 16. Food is always have a good taste and there soups!
I love this place seriously go here a lot love all the people there they know exactly what I want it’s not like other Chinese restaurants doesn’t make you bloated or run to restroom so I highly recommend this place and again the people I just love
I came in under a time crunch and asked how long it would take to get my food and was told 5 minutes. Boy did they deliver! I'm eating the food as I make this review and this is definitely some of the better takeout Mongolian beef I've had. Plus the person who took my order had a very upbeat attitude. He even let me get a free cup of the kool-aid when I asked about it. I'll definitely be back.
My family and I have been coming to this location since I was a baby I am now 25. This is not only a restaurant but a home a childhood core memory! my first time eating fried rice ever was from here and to this day I still order the exact same plate
Food was amazing!!! The restroom cleanliness I would rate a 4 out of 10. Dining area was 7 out of 10. The service was by far great, what you would expect from a small hole in the wall restaurant. Definitely some of the best Chinese food I have tried in a while. Food was freshly made. Overall worth giving this place a shot… you will not regret it.
I’ve been to many Chinese restaurants during my lifetime, but Joy Luck is by far the best! I live in Grand Prairie near I-20 and 161, but the 10 minute drive is definitely worth it. I’m a big broccoli and chicken fan and the “Broccoli Plate with Chicken” doesn’t disappoint. The ingredients are super fresh, but the white sauce definitely makes the plate special. I’m not really a broccoli and beef person, but the brown sauce thy use with the “Broccoli Plate with Beef” is super delicious, as well. I was told that all of their sauces are made from scratch. In addition to the amazing food, the owner and staff are also very nice and friendly. This is my go to place when I want some good Chinese food! If you’re in Grand Prairie, there’s no excuse not to try it out! If you’re in Dallas, Arlington, Irving, Duncanville, Cedar Hill or Mansfield and you’re wanting to try something new, it’s definitely worth the drive!
This place is a must! It is very affordable and the portions are huge! The staff is very nice and helpful. Just to give you an idea how cheap it is, 2 entrees, 2 drinks, 2 egg rolls, 2 soups, 2 crab rangoons, and a tip= $24. The food has great flavor. Their egg drop soup is one of the best I have ever tried. Their unsweet tea is amazing, and their sodas are well carbonated. This place is great and we will be back again!
Great customer service! The gentleman who took my order was friendly and personable with me and everyone who walked in. The orange chicken I ordered was incredible, absolutely loved the crunch and flavor on the orange chicken. The only negative I'd say is, way to much sauce and the fried rice had no flavor or vegetables. Other then that, I'd recommend trying this restaurant out.
It was fine. I ordered for the fam and everyone was happy so it’s not bad but the egg drop soup was not good. Everything else was fine. We used DoorDash and it only took 30 min or so. Like I said it’s fine.
The food is too salty. I think salt is the only ingredient. It’s really bad. I left most of my food on the plate and walked out smh.
I have only been 2 times. The 1st time the food was pretty good. It wasn't the best Chinese I ever had but it was good enough to make me go back. The 2nd visit though? Not so great. I get spicy veggie rice and it was watery and not spicy enuff. It wasn't sticky, it's hard to describe, it just had a weird consistency to it. I ate it, and had an upset tummy the next day. My daughter didn't care for it and barely ate. The crab Rangoon was really good tho.
I got combination fried rice and I am unfortunately disappointed. I had a couple bites by itself and tasted something strange that I've never tasted before, but disliked. So I added some sweet and sour but that didn't help. What made me end up throwing it away (besides not liking it) was taking a nice crunchy bite of the pictured thing below. I did notice all of the black specks sprinkled throughout and assumed it was an unfamiliar seasoning. Now I'm certain that they gave me yesterday's rice. I placed my order as soon as they opened and was very surprised at how quickly they had it ready considering I was the only customer there. The employees were very nice and the place was clean so I do not know why the place seems to slack on the fried rice. If there are other items that exceed standards then I will return but for now I cannot bring myself back of my own volition.
The whole place needs good power washing. I ordered an orange chicken, $8. It came with a fried rice and an egg roll. The egg roll was an egg wrong, very bland, zero taste, and had funny taste to it. I bet it was frozen because it had a lot of water in it. I wouldn’t recommend it. The fried rice was very dried like Mexican refried rice. Way over cooked. The orange chicken has very nice crisp to it but it also has some funny taste to it from the bed of iceberg lettuce. Something about the iceberg lettuce that’s affecting the chicken. I couldn’t finish it. Damn, What a waste of $8. Who are these people writing good reviews on this restaurant? Do they even like food? Don’t pay attention to other five star reviews. Obviously, they eat anything. I am being fair and there is no excuse for the food l got. You are better off buying some frozen Chinese “Tai Pei” from Walmart. The Panda Express way better, and the Panda isn’t a Mount Everest. Running a restaurant business is tough and there is no excuse for this. Obviously, the owner doesn’t care. There is no way the owner cares. This area deserves better Chinese restaurant. This is mediocre at best and is a rip off.
