Best place to enjoy breakfast or lunch in Greenwich. Food quality is high, great ingredients, staff is friendly and the restaurant is clean. You'll be happy you went!
Such a charming place. The waitstaff was attentive and everyone's food was so good from burgers, to omelet, to traditional breakfast fare.
Great menu, good prices, amazing staff! If you're in green Greenwich it's one of the best places in town to get breakfast.
Great little spot for fast and friendly service while maintaining good tasting food.
First time at the Greenwich village Cafe. Breakfast was delicious. Everything was so fresh . Will definitely be back !
I got blueberry pancakes. They're the best blueberry pancakes I've ever had! I shall return! And bring friends!
Cute little cafe! Good service. Hill street sandwich was great and the livery salad was, too. Excellent chocolate cream pie.
Love the food here and the service. Breakfast and lunch are always good and the desserts are amazing.
Great food and service. We will be back.
They have the absolute fluffiest buttermilk pancakes! Delicious lattes, too, and croissants (get them grilled--nice and warm)
Absolutely LOVE this place!!! Their food is sooo good and service is always great!! The vegetable panini is my favorite sandwich ever!!!
Such a beautiful spot! The atmosphere is so calm and welcoming and the staff is fantastic. Highly recommend this Cafe
Excellent service. Great food. Great atmosphere. So glad I stopped there for lunch.
I have been here several times to meet family and friends. Always great food. Love the raspberry pie!
Breakfast was amazing, decently priced AND they fit our table of 9 with basically no notice!
We had lunch here today. The place was packed when we arrived, but the turnover was quick. Quiche and a salad for mom and a ham, cheese and apple panini for me. I ordered strawberry rhubarb pie and Keylime pie to go. The Keylime pie was one of the best I’ve had, and the strawberry rhubarb pie was really good as well. The service was quick but we weren’t rushed, the food was wonderful, and the staff very friendly. We will definitely be going back!!
The perfect local restaurant. Great breakfast, exactly like we ordered! Good coffee. Sparkling clean and cheerful staff that really listen to your requests! A happy place.
Always solid eats, and excellent service. One of my personal favorites. for parties of four or more I would recommend getting a reservation. Keep in mind they are only open until 1:00 p.m. so I advise getting there early. My favorite spot to sit and eat is out at the tables with the umbrella, The second choice are the tables they have outside the entrance. Every Sunday I believe there's different quiche available, any of their sandwiches are fantastic. Try their potato salad or coleslaw. I get the monument sandwich highly recommended. I do believe their pancakes are some of the best I've had in my life. Honest. You can blindly pick anything on the menu and be very satisfied. This has become a regular breakfast place for Sunday morning Harley rides. Eat here then you can head east to mass or VT, or west to Saratoga sacandaga etc.
Dynamite cafe that serves breakfast that cannot be beaten within a sixty mile radius. Only complaints I could launch at this place is they won't give you free iced water. You pay for bottles. Also the Lumberjack comes with hash, not hash browns. That means when you order the Lumberjack, you get fried potatoes with this weird corned beef meat within it. Ask the nice ladies to switch it to just regular hash browns. Other than that, I dare you to find anything wrong with this spot. Everyone is nice and everything is clean. This is the best kitchen in three counties.
Excellent Experience!! Dropped in for lunch for the first time and was pleasantly surprised. Super clean cafe with great menu choices and tempting baked goods. The Service was super. Can't wait to go back for coffee and home made pie.
The Greenwich Cafe was an awesome experience. The menue was simple, the food was great and the prices were reasonable. They also have baked goods that are totally tasty treats.
Homemade just can't be matched at Greenwich Cafe, Red Flannel Hash is totally unique AWARD WINNER. Best wheat toast/bread anywhere in the galaxy, makes a total compliment to B'kfst/lunch. You just can't pass by this delicious hometown diner, whole pies & baked goods totally mouthwatering delights.
I adore the Village Cafe! It's the best spot to eat in town. A cozy environment that has great food. I highly suggest the baked goods here.
We always have a great experience for breakfast or lunch!
My fiancé and I love coming here every time we are in Greenwich! Excellent, fresh, and tasty food! The pananis are crunchy, the soups are hot, and the desserts always look so good! The wait staff are also really excellent with customers. We always get a warm feeling here.
Damn good sandwich spot! Did not think I'd be eating a quality sandwich like that out here in the hills!
The veggie burger is a must try!
As a restauranture and Culinary Arts instructor, I rarely write reviews. Village Cafe is Very clean with prompt service. Fresh hand made food showing someone is knowledgable and cares.
Great place to eat! I love this place and have had nothing but great experiences with friends and family. Awesome baked goods selection.
Super friendly staff. Delicious coffee, meals & cookies.
Great food at decent prices. You always know what you are getting time and time again due to their diligence in the kitchen. Shoutout to Ellen, Sophie, and the whole crew.
After church Father's day brunch. Our first time here, it won't be our last. Place is super busy, and we can see why! The food is top notch, service friendly but not over attentive. The seafood chowder had my husband swooning! And the PIES! Don't forget to get pie, but...you'll be full from your meal, so get them to go.
Just had lunch here with my daughter. The roast beef and cheddar panini was phenomenal. I'm picky when it comes to potato salads, but theirs was terrific. Best chocolate chip cookie I've had in a long time. Can't wait to go back again!
Had a wonderful lunch here with family and friends. Nice menu; something for everyone. We sat outside under an umbrellaed Bistro table. Food was delicious and the service was friendly and efficient.
Always a great experience every time my fiance and I eat here. Quick service, friendly servers, and delicious food are always what you can expect when you visit. Also, don't pass on the desert counter. They're all great!
Excellent, friendly service and atmosphere!
Every meal, every mocha, every cookie, every trip is special--and delicious.
Really great food and our server was fantastic. We had the waffle special and it lasted us through lunch. The latte was done exactly right and was in a very large coffee cup. The food was fresh off the stove and tasted great. The best part is they source some of their ingredients from the local farms.
Great food and friendly staff and owners!
Warm atmosphere great food and great service!
We stopped in today just to order lattes to go but decided to stay for the soup, sandwiches and pie because the menu had so many incredible and delicious choices. Everything was super fresh. There were lots of options for the vegetarians in our group. Lattes were delicious. We highly recommend the Witches Village Cafe!!
Witches Cafe has the best food and incredible staff!
Clean, quick service, pleasant staff. Coffee was OK. Food was what one would expect for typical breakfast fare. Will likely stop in again when golfing in the area, which was the reason for the visit.
Great breakfast and was able to sit outside which was great except for those pesky yellow jackets!
We stopped here for lunch one time years ago when we happened to pass by on a motorcycle trip on the way home from Lake George. We now make it a routine lunch stop each time we are riding in the area. We like the outdoor seating. The service has been impeccable & friendly, and the lunch items are always delicious. Leave room for dessert, as the baked goods are fantastic.
Super well run—organized to handle the crowd for the tractor parade. Nice vibe overall—everyone was having a good time. Thanks for a spot to sit and grab a bite before the parade!
Great food! Very friendly staff! Ample parking right in the middle of the town. Very good menu and amazing food. Bakery items are so fresh that we wanted to buy their loaf of bread after having the burger. Superb Service and perfect food. Outdoor seating was available with full service when we visited.
If your ever in the area this little place is absolutely amazing. The service Is wonderful and the food is mouth watering. I was blown away by the flavor of my meals here. Definitely a must visit again .
Excellent menu… Great ingredients and a wonderful staff. Will be back soon.
What a little gem. We both had the veggie omelet and they were terrific. The wait staff were all very cordial and professional. I can't wait to go back and try the bread pudding made from cinnamon rolls. That's going to be nirvana.
Even though it was 1:30p we decided to have breakfast. I had two thin pancakes and a once over easy egg and coffee. The pancakes were sweet with an ever so light crust on them, topped with powdered sugar. They were light and it was hard to stop eating them. They were served with butter and real syrup. My partner had scrambled eggs and home fries and rye toast. The eggs were done perfect just soft and not hard. The toast came hot with the butter already on it. The home fries were hot and done perfect. Some were crispy. The color on the home fries was dark and they tasted excellent. I keep going back.
Friendly and attentive service plus delicious entrees and homemade pies. Loved the Washington (made with real artichokes), a well prepared latte, and a slice of their peach pie. 👏👏👏
Whether it’s a pick up order, or you dine in, this place is THE spot for lunch (or breakfast) in Greenwich. The owners are nice (like for real) people, the staff is efficient and funny, and they get to know you as people. Soups are homemade and there’s no Sysco cookies up in this joint. If you are in Greenwich and choose to sit down anywhere else for lunch- you’re missing out!!!
Their veggie panini is my favorite food on this earth. There are several times a week that I tell myself "if you do X hard thing you get panini". Their soups are also fantastic as is their service. I've been in 3x since December and it's incredible each time.
Small but cozy. Very good service, excellent food. They offer gluten free options.
Every visit to the cafe is amazing. Food is consistently great, the service is fun and friendly.
Neen a customer for years. Every visit has delivered excellent food and service in their quaint setting.
Always friendly service! Great food!
stopped by for a piece of pie. got a slice of the blackberry (there was also blueberry, peach & chocolate), and was blown away. for $6 i got a wonderfully berry filled slice with a wonderful crust that could’ve been cooked just a tad longer. i tried not to eat the whole thing in one day, but that was impossible. please make a mixed berry and/or berries with peaches/plums when they’re in season; that’d be amaaazing! nice service to boot, which is always appreciated!
Their sandwiches and salads are very delicious but the standout for us was their desserts. In particular, they always have a large selection of homemade fruit and cream pies. My grandmother would have approved.
Stopped in on the way to Glens Falls. What a catch! Superb menu with a lot of homemade ingredients and recipes. Was not that hungry, so ordered a salad and BAM! it was colossal and had a bunch of toppings. It filled me up nicely! Service was friendly and informative. Want to go back and try breakfast. Looks pretty popular, so maybe avoid prime times.
Great place for real food! It's not very big inside so be aware at winter time. They have plenty of tables outside during the summer. The food we had for breakfast was awesome, the fluffiest French toast ever and my omelette was soo perfect. I also tried their soup over a period of time and again; really tasteful. Their home baked pies, muffins, cookies etc.are so delicious! The price is worth your order. The coffee is good. I didn't find anything to complain about except I wish the whipped cream on the waffles was not from a bottle but that's a very small thing, that's why I ranked all 5 stars.
This place has an awesome vibe! The place was packed for lunch. The waitstaff runs around constantly serving all the tables well. It was so relaxing, and the good was great!
We ate here on a busy Saturday. They serve breakfast all day which is great. The 3 cheese omelet and the big combination breakfast my got were hot and delicious. Never had a bad meal here, and the staff is lovely.
Great food. Their pancakes were huge. Plate size huge. We got great service. Nice and very clean.
This place is amazing. Friendly staff, quick service, cozy food and atmosphere! Definitely would recommend. A great place to stop if you are traveling or vacationing
I've had omelets from dozens of restaurants in the Capital District, and the Witches Village Cafe makes the best by a huge margin. First of all, they use an omelet pan (not a griddle), and the omelets end up thick and fluffy, probably twice the thickness of others.. They are always yellow, not burned brown, like some places. The vegetables are fresh and browned before added, and not frozen. The fillings are generous. The toast is always above average - I like the sour dough toast, myself. Last time we went, I ordered a single buttermilk pancake for the table to share. I'm not a big fan of restaurant pancakes, but this one was delicious. It was thick (at first I thought we got two pancakes by mistake), huge (I'm glad I only ordered one), without any funny flavors (common with some pancake mixes), and not overly sweet. They serve real maple syrup, and it's worth it. We've made pancakes from scratch at home a hundred times. These were better than homemade. Don't tell my wife. There are times when the place gets crowded. If it's a nice day, we enjoy having the outside dining option.
Busy on a rainy day but there were tables available. Waitress friendly and we were served fast. Breakfast served all day and the double stack blueberry pancakes were delicious. Had The Hill sandwich with lightly breaded chicken breast with roasted red pepper slices , lettuce, tomato and a wonderful herb aioli on hard roll.
Thank you for your hospitality and an excellent lunch! Everything was just perfect so I wanted to give a shout out. Everyone there always makes me feel so appreciated and the food is excellent. Recommending the wraps for lunch! They travel well too! Thanks again!
Although, I’ve never sat to have a meal in this wonderful establishment. I have popped in for a little snack when I’m in that neck of the woods. And their cookies are phenomenal! The variety, the freshness, I cannot say enough, good things. Their staff is also super friendly and helpful. Can’t wait to get back to their neighborhood.
Nice food, plenty of healthy and tasty options, fresh brewed iced tea.
Good breakfast. A little pricey. Service very good. Very clean Cafe.
Good food and desserts decent pricing..a little cramped in the winter seating wise, but love this little place.
My waffle was delicious my Apple ham omlet was not. The omlet had way too much ham, not enough cheese, and the apples were flavorless. Also I believe the prices were a little high on the breakfast items.
The ruben sandwich was very good. The omelette was a little overcooked/dry. Service was fine. Next time I'm in the area I will eat there again.
Very good food and friendly staff. A little cramped and not a lot of tables available, but they seem to turn them over well.
Good food. Maple cheddar ham quiche was very tasty. Came with a salad. Had a side order of homefries but the serving was small.
Don’t go for the coffee, unless you’re a heavy cream and sugar user. And they only have bottled water at an extra cost!
Ordered an omelet with mushroom spinach and sausage, side of corn beef potato hash & was delicious! Casual friendly service didn’t have enough room for a slice of pie but they look good. I only wish the omelet ingredients were mixed into the eggs but it was very fluffy. Somewhat pricey- breakfast for 2 was $60
Everything tasted ok. Nothing great. The home fries had no seasoning, if they did I couldn't taste any. The prices are absurd, $4.25 for 1 egg and toast? The wife and I ordered what would be considered a modest breakfast, she had a veggie omelet with home fries toast and a coffee, I had 2 eggs, a slice of ham, and rye toast with a coffee. The bill for the meal was $27.87 before tip. I could understand if it was some fancy place in NY city. But, a small mom and pop dinner in no where greenwich NY? Never again for me, maybe I'll stop in for some pie, but even then, a $20 bill for 2 pieces of pie, latte and a coffee is such a mark up, I think I might pass.
Food very good they were busy but still had good response to customer services
Service was great in a tightly squeezed in cafe that offers the only fare other than fast food in this town. Quality of food was good, but for $9 sandwiches, I expected a full sandwich instead of the dollar menu size meal I got. I suppose rent in that Plaza isn't cheap.
Not good quality food, very disappointed. A BLT should be hard to screw up and somehow i wound up with the most measly horrible sandwich. I could have made a better one at home. $9.00 NOT well spent.
Not providing a glass of water when asked…only bottled Desanti water available. Such BS…there are glasses, ice and a tap - get your guests a glass of water So lame
Ordered 2 Rubens for takeout corned beef was so tough my dogs couldn’t chew it don’t think we will return
Food quality has gone way down! Not what it used to be. Haven't been there in a few years and won't be going back. Overall the ingredients seemed of poorer quality. Charging for water and not offering tap as an option sets a poor tone from the start. Today it's expense to eat out. I expected much better of an overall experience :(
I payed too much for a subpar burger. Also they played into the COVID hysteria and they were asking for people's phone numbers for government tracking purposes when I went there. I decided to never come back. Why would I overpay for subpar burgers and give money to people who will go along with government tyranny. No thanks.
