I brought my daughter yesterday for the first time! The food was alright, a little over done and a little bland. The service was great though! We may try eating there on a day that's not so busy.

So hungry for IHOP or IHOB! Had the Poblano Omelette, deliciously spicy! The side biscuit was toasty & strawberry jelly topped it so well. The Rooty dessert hit the spot & the coffee is the best. Only concern was, I couldn't finish it all. #LoveIHOB/P

Went after the movies with friends. I ordered the appetizer sampler. It had so much food. The sampler has 4 chicken strips, 4 mozzarella cheese sticks and sauce and onion rings. Sorry, no picture... The Hershey's chocolate milkshake was delicious!

We had a breakfast a week before and took a plate to go for my wife that was horrible.... They replaced the plate we took so we went back and had another lazy day out the food was great the server we had "older lady" was hard to get a hold of mybe she was overwhelmed with clients.... The food was great that's why the 5 stars just needs more attention to service....

Never fails. Love going to this location. Foods always good and restaurant is always clean. Foremost the staff is always great. If they aren't taking an order they're sweeping up floor or helping with seating customers. The staff here is so friendly and down to earth. They are always in such a great mood. IHOP is back to 24hours. We went passed midnight and the food was done fresh. The chicken was juicy. The fries perfectly fried and crispy. The pancakes as always are perfect and delicious. The eggs are always done to your liking. The waitress we had was so nice and very helpful. The syrups, ketchup, salsas were given in packages.

My wife and I had a good meal. I had a spicy bowl which was very good, for the first time ordering it, and surprisingly it came with a stack of pancakes. It was like having dessert with the meal. Service was great, Angel was very attentive even though he had several tables. My wife and I had a great experience. We will be back.

I've been here several times. Today I was with a small group of veterans. We had exceptional service and the food was first rate. We were further blessed in that some unknown patron paid a portion of our check. My friends and I are honored to be recognized for our service to this great nation, the United States of America.

Maria was an excellent server. Immediately took our order. Brought our drinks and kept them filled. Our orders were perfect and she was very very friendly. 1st time here and we will return.

We were greeted by a smiling face as soon as we walked in the door. We were seated and soon approached by a server named Eddy, who was friendly and helpful. (And it turns out our birthdays are just a day apart! 😂) He made sure we had our menus and soon returned & efficiently took our order. Our food was hot and fresh. Everything tasted great. And Eddy was pretty observant about our drink levels. When we asked for extra napkins (we had the kids with us) or refills, he was pleasant and quick to help us. And even though we arrived a few minutes after 10pm, the manager was kind to extend the "Kids Eat Free" promotion to us. The music was a little loud for me, but overall, we all had a pleasant experience. I can confidently recommend IHOP for family dining!

Service was slow. Waitress acted like she was swamped but there were only 4 tables besides ours. Our order was incorrect. My pancake was cold, asked for more napkins and told they were out and our waitress walked away.... probably will never go again

Hadn't been to IHOP in years. Decided to go and meet up with some friends. Staff was friendly but a little forgetful. Had to wait a while to get a refill when my cup was empty and the server had to be reminded to bring us some condiments after already asking for them earlier. Food was good, however almost 20 for breakfast is kind of ridiculous. +$3 just for sweet tea is outrageous. I liked the food, but the prices will keep me from visiting soon again.

A good meals and coffee, the pancakes were delicious but there wasn't pecan syrup on the table. The restroom need to be more clean. There were papers, papers napkins and other stuffs under the kitchen cabinets.

Our Waitress Nora was extremely professional and very sweet. We enjoyed her waiting on us very much. The food was delicious and they didn't mind some additions and subtractions from my order to accommodate my diabetes. I would come here again.

Food is delicious! Gave 4 stars only because we saw our food on the counter sitting there for approximately 12 min. We were a large group BUT there's no reason why the food must sit on the counter for so long. I do understand the logic of bringing out all the food out together BUT we would prefer it get to our table while its still nice and hot. Service was great.... no complaints on that!

I order Benedict eggs, it takes a little longer because I didn’t see them in the menu. .. or May b is not the special of the day. My coffee also took time to arrive. Lunch time is busy? I don’t know. In general the Benedict eggs were good.

Went in for my birthday breakfast early around 8:30, it wasn’t too crowded. The service was ok, the food was better. Couple next to us had an issue about waiting 45 minutes and still no food while we had already gotten ours and had came in before them ( AWKWARDDD) Very uncomfortable to be in a situation like that and the manager didn’t make things any better.

Good variety, service is hit or miss. Pancakes, waffles, egg plates are all satisfying. I just went and tried their burgers and was pleased. I might still prefer burgers from Denny's, but they have a good deal and burgers thst are almost as good. $6.99 for their regular burger, a drink, and unlimited fries. I'll definitely be back.

Had to ask for silverware. No knife when I got it.Something red was on my plate, could have been strawberry jam, but it was under my bacon so didn't see it until almost done. it. Very busy. Pancakes were good. Ordered over med eggs got over easy. They were really very busy!

Went from 5 star to 3. Our table didn't have any utensils. We had to ask for them after being served our food. The food tasted good but not great. I used to really love IHOP. The bacon was a bit on the warm/cool side. The restrooms had no paper towels to dry our hands with and there was syrup on the floor in the dining area to where our shoes got sticky walking to our seats and leaving. I got the breakfast sampler, to which I requested 2 more bacon instead of the sausage links. It didn't happen. Overall it was okay.

Coffee was Luke warm, there was only 1 table when I arrived. Pancakes were cold n having frozen butter for them did not mash, SMH! Server was pleasant but needs training, brought us someone else's plates to our table only to realize it was the wrong table. Gota be better!

The food was great, just as expected from other IHOP locations. However, the service was significantly delayed(Min 30 Min), which impacted the overall experience. I hope IHOP focuses more on improving the service to match the quality of their food. On 1/13/2025, the IHOP manager reached out to me, and we had a discussion about the concerns I raised. I truly appreciate them taking the time to address my feedback, and I hope they will implement the necessary corrective actions to make this a perfect dining spot. Their effort to listen to customers is a step in the right direction!

Took almost 30 minutes to get drinks, food took over an hour. Was maybe 10 customers in the restaurant and our server looked like he was overwhelmed. The food was amazing, some of the best I’ve had from ihop but it took way too long for it to come.

So we had an awesome waitress (Angela) that was topping off all the drinks in a timely manner including tables around us. She did a great job. Hats off to you.... so we decided to let the manager (Ramon) know about her professionalism but he was very negative towards her. He went as far as to ask if she had told us about the survey on the receipt. I've also noticed good people leaving this establishment. Change in management sometimes hurts...

Lack of dinner variety on the menu. Too expensive. As we walk in after 5pm weird smell. Even though there was a shift changing the waitresses were very attentive but other employees were very noisy with whatever they have going on.

Usually the food is very good. This time, in Harlingen, TX, the ham was burned around the corners and the hash browns were too toasty, they tasted burned. Yucky.

We went for lunch & got seated quickly. So far so good. Unfortunately (except for the food) things went downhill from there. Our server didn't appear until we had been seated for about 5 minutes. (it wasn't busy) He took our drink order & brought it back to the table and just left us without asking if we were ready to order yet. OK fine, we waited until he came back & then he took our food order. I ordered the Colorado Omelete & told him I wanted hash browns with it. He told me I couldn't have hash browns with it, only the pancakes. I proceeded to argue with him about what I wanted to eat & I pointed out on the menu that I COULD have the potatoes with my omelete. Finally he was convinced I didn't want the pancakes, and left. He came back a little while later to ask if I was sure I wanted hash browns. (again with the pancakes!) I confirmed my order. My companion ordered and omlete WITH pancakes & he seemed very happy with that. She asked for Maple Syrup for her cakes. When our order came, I got exactly what I ordered, but he also gave me a little container of syrup. My lunch companion wanted to know where the Maple Syrup was & he mumbled something I couln't understand. I asked him about the maple syrup (for her) and he told us that the syrup in the little to go containers was all they had. Since this was iHop, I have to wonder why only one kind of syrup? It was labeled "Old Fashioned Syrup, but what does that mean? Overall, the food was good, but the service was severely lacking. I have never had to argue with a server over what I wanted despite the fact they had it in stock.

Usually love our IHOP, but not today. At the last minute, no sausage was available for the french toast sandwich which was also supposed to come with an aioli that was nonexistent. Ordered avocado to add to the omelet, but that too was missing along with the mushrooms. Asked for crispy bacon, but it was cooked just past raw. Omelet was missing the side of pancakes. Not a very good visit. 😕

Wish I could score more than just two stars. Had a horrible experience, they forgot my plus one's coffee even tho we asked twice with two different people. The waiter was all over the place and there wasn't even a rush. To top it all off, we waited 5+ min just to get the drinks at the beginning and didn't finish our meals due to the forgotten drinks, had to leave and left no tip.

Place could use a wipe down. Counters and tables and menus are greasy. Also ordered 3 french toast combos. They forgot the strawberries for every single one.

Restaurant wasn't busy at all but was very dirty. -3 stars for that. The leather seats were ripped open and trash all over the floor. our waitress was very kind and attentive 5 stars for her but they need a better busy boy or clean up policy especially since covid you'd think it would be top-notch. Husband and I decided then and there we would not be back.

The food was fine, it's what we expect from a diner type place. What we struggled with was the terrible service. Watching employees stand around chatting. Took forever to get the waitress so we could get our check. The floors were dirty. Shout out to the hostess that WAS working. She greeted us, sat us promptly, and when we left she said good bye as she folded coloring sheets with crayons.

Staff was friendly but they didn't seemed to be properly trained. Food was normal Unfortunately the restaurant was overall dirty, Dirty tables, dirty restrooms, there was even a roach in one of the divider walls of the kitchen and the dinning area 3 ft. from our table. We asked to be seated elsewhere. At the time of checkout there was supposed to be a kids free meal, but I was charged. Later they "adjusted" the amount, but the credit card app still says the previous charge. Normally IHOP experiences are smooth, but this location it's a skip for next time.

The waitress we had was super nice and attentive as she could be but man they are severely understaffed and our food took a very long time to arrive at our table. That aside, everything we ordered was great and we had zero issues there. It just took very long

To be fair, our server was new, so no fault of hers as she was doing a pretty good job. The other employees were very nice but I think management needs some floor time like maybe pick up a cleaning towel and wipe tables and booth seats when your staff is busy (you aren't above helping just because you are in "charge"). Ladies room was really disgusting and the table condiments should be wiped after EVERY table leaves, syrup is sticky, Hello. But the food was hot and good.

3/25/22 Ihop Harlingen, Tx Server: Edward Wish I could give this IHOP more than two stars, but today they failed. Slow morning, however our server looked frustrated from the moment we got there. We had to get up for silverware. No straws, no coffee available at 7:AM :o!?!? Food took long, server forgot he had given us EMPTY mugs. We did not get our order of toast, yet got charged for it. Our pancakes were burned… at this point we just didn’t feel comfortable asking for them to be remade. Our daughter loves strawberry syrup, and they were out!!! We were served and charged for a regular size orange juice with the kids meal. Our server walked around nodding his head most of the time. We could have forgiven some of these things but it was TOO many little things. This month we’ve also been at both IHOPs in Brownsville and their service has blown us away. Today we were traveling and decided to give Harlingen a try only to be disappointed. We believe the $5 tip was too generous for what we got today.

Three of our five orders where wrong, they give you ketchup packages rather then the traditional bottle & On top of that they're was food still stuck on our silverware. So I've decided to snap a photo for everyone to see.

This is the dirtiest IHOP I've ever been to. It was early morning (8am) on a Sunday and there was an extremely strong bleach smell all over the restaurant. This place needs serious maintenance, restroom was dirty (despite the bleach smell) and there was bacteria growing on the walls near the kitchen. I'm afraid to see what the kitchen actually looks like. Never returning. Service was okay but nobody tending the host area...

So the reason I stopped coming to sit here was because I came with my family and a roach scared the heck out of my mom. I still like IHOP in general so after a while I figured, how much could they mess up right? I’m just watching the chefs as I’m typing ignore my order and go around it, maybe because it’s a to go order? And I didn’t want to meet my cucaracha today. Never again. I live 20 minutes from here, took my time, and I’ve still been here for 20+ minutes. Total 40+ minutes; for an omelette. I’m making my own eggs next time. Waitress amazing, chefs no good.

Very unsatisfied with the service and staff here. Was not packed at all and our server kept forgetting to refill our drinks several times and brought out our orders with things missing. Had to remind him several times. I ordered the spicy poblano omelette and it was served with icing on top instead of the poblano sauce. Returned it and asked them to make it again and when they brought it, it was still very sweet. Will definitely not be coming to this location again.

Was completely upset with this visit. I ordered the breakfast sampler and our waitress Itze (that’s what it said on be receipt) ignored us after dropping off our food and when we tried to get attention to tell her she forgot an order of pancakes. By the time she finally acknowledged us we had already finished our meals and didn’t see ever point in waiting for pancakes that should’ve been brought out with our food.

Waited 30 minutes to get seated, and waited almost an hour for food. They kept getting our orders wrong. They gave us microwaved pancakes, the cheesy chicken bacon ranch was supposed to be a bowl of rice with grilled chicken, cheese, and bacon, but the chicken was raw and everything was in separate plates with no cheese or bacon at all. They told us there was no salad after we had already ordered and waited. The chicken tenders we ordered were old and really hard, didn’t even feel like chicken. We had to ask for a strawberry milkshake twice, because they never got to actually making it. I was served tap water that tasted dirty as my drink, not to mention the place looked pretty dirty considering they had just opened about an hour before we went. Unbelievable. I arrived to pick up my order ten minutes after the promised time, only to be forced to wait another excruciating ten minutes. Given this location's abysmal track record of botching every single order, I had to meticulously check everything at the counter. Lo and behold, an entire entrée was missing, along with silverware and condiments! They hastily shoved some items into another bag, but it wasn't until I got home that I discovered my hash browns were nowhere to be found. This IHOP is undoubtedly the worst in the entire region, a true culinary nightmare. I'm furious with myself for falling for their convenient location time and time again, only to be inevitably disappointed. This place is an absolute disaster, and I'm at my wit's end. New management can't come soon enough, though I doubt it would make a difference at this point. What a complete waste of time and money.

I had a terrible experience at this place. The food was consistently cold, even after requesting replacements. One of the waitresses treated us poorly, taking out her frustrations on us unjustly. I wouldn't recommend returning there.

If you like to wait 3hrs for breakfast this is the place for you. The waiter was super friendly but she could have been more involved with the kitchen instead of telling us the food is almost out. Went with Family. Everyone asked for well done hash browns cooked on both sides. They came barely regular. I asked to switch egg for more hash browns and sausage to bacon. Mother in law was unhappy and asked for manager. Mother in law asked how long will it take. Manager said it would take 20 minutes to make because they make them "fresh". Mother in law said "why didn't they just make them right when we ordered". Manager response was it was written down but cooks didn't do it. MIL made a face. MIL said she wanted to speak to manager and manager said "I am the manager". MIL said "you are? You're not acting like one". Manager said she was rude to the waiter and to her and she didn't have to put up with her. Manager said"we done" and walked away. Mother in law tone was upset, but didn't curse or make any derogatory comments. The closest thing to rude comment to original waiter was asking to see the manager in a "harsh tone". MIL literally just talks like that to everyone. It's the way she talks. Wives bacon was undercooked, but she just accepted that and didn't say anything. We just left when manger said she was "done". Didn't get to taste enough of the food to form opinion. Overall the original time it took was good and the food was hot. The single pancake I tasted was good. Bacon was hit or miss in crispiness. The syrup was just packaged syrup. I'm assuming because of covid. First time ever left a restaurant.

Asked waiter if we could sit in the left side of the restaurant he said that side was closed . So went on to sit on the other side of the restaurant. Decided to pay for my food to dine in ahead of time. He took over almost 20 minutes to bring back my change. And after those 20 minutes he brought my water. I asked him for my change he said he would get it. I asked him for my change a second time he said just a second. Took unnecessary long to give me back the change. And took forever to bring water to the table . And when finally my food came I told him that I had asked to hold on the pancakes. He didn't say he would hold the pancakes on the warmer. He just ignored me. So much for customer service. I had to tell them if he could remove them. He only removed one order of pancakes when I told him the other order as too. I just was plain rude and said he didn't know and ignored the fact I wanted to hold on the pancakes. When another customer went he charged them like in 5 minutes. When I got there before other customers they got their drinks before me . And he was attentive. .He was very attentive, did not provide silverware to be ready when my food arrived. Worse experience ever! Drinks took about 30 min to arrive. The food another hour. We had to ask for silverware and my lil girl's meal was incomplete. Horrible. Waitress was nice but needs a lot of practice being a waitress. Never will I recommend nor will I return.

10/14 10:20 AM I had gone in and asked for a table for 1. Was never signed in, never got acknowledged. A couple walks in and they were IMMEDIATELY seated. Train your staff better. Worst experience I've ever had. I was waiting for 10 minutes and never got a single acknowledgement from poor staff.

Had breakfast for lunch. Ordered the 2x2x2 and my husband had the 55+ sampler. COLD COLD COLD… only thing hot were the pancakes. I don’t like to complain but what happened to IHOP. Waitress was good

40 for food that was dry and soggy, ordered a fish platter and the fish was soggy inside,we asked to trade it for something else just to be told we can get chicken strips . we couldn’t get what we wanted and we payed for fish platter instead of being charged for chicken tenders. place is horrible and will not going back worst 40 $ spend and down the drain.

The waiter seemed like he didn’t know much, he was not helpful and a bit rude. The food was awful for a Friday night and it wasn’t even that busy! The manager was also not much help at all. I would never come back in the evening to eat here!!!! Even waited about 15 minutes after we were done to get the bill and pay, the waiter just ignored us.

Bad service....they lost our ticket order.....we just ealj out.(they dident say sorry,btw)

On one occasion, when my food order was incorrect, I hesitated to return it due to a previous negative experience. However, the staff member kindly requested another opportunity to rectify the situation. Regrettably, despite waiting for an extended period of over an hour, the subsequent meal was still incorrect. Furthermore, the manager displayed a lack of concern and allowed me to leave the establishment in the same dissatisfied state as when I had entered.

You would think with only a handful of customers in the restaurant and what seemed like a lot of employees working, that they wouldn't have forgotten 1/3 of my takeout order. Edit 11/15/204 - I figured I would give them another shot, and damn if they didn't screw my order up again. Missing items, and wrong ingredients in the omelet. I think I've learned my lesson now

It's the 4 time this year I order online from them and they disappoint everytime. I'll order online. Arrive later than the time it is too pick it up(they never make the food on time) and I still end up waiting an hour+ to get my food. 2 occasions where I ordered steal online I arrive later then the time set to pick it up. I'll tell the person infront that I'm there to pick up my order. They let me sit for 20 minutes both times only to tell me they are out of the steak. Instead of at least trying to call me to let me know they are out so I can switch the order. Then I have to change it and end up waiting an additional hour to get my order. Not to mention this last time it happened, there was one couple sitting down already eating. Not one other person beside myself and the staff. Still ended having to wait over an hour to get my food. And foursome reason I'm always missing one side order or just no syrup or strawberry glaze for my kids banana strawberry pancakes

Staff was friendly. The food was okay. Other than the pancake was flat and overcooked. Found a BUG in the ICE, it was FROZEN in the Ice. 😅 saw it once I had finished the drink. Manager apologized seemed sincere offered to remove from bill had already paid. Over all place seemed dirty. For 1 adult & a baby, $30 should’ve just cooked at home but wanted to treat myself.
