Very attentive owners and staff. They're quick to sweep up messes and clean tables. There is a good atmosphere with chill lounge music. The food is great and amazing value for the money. Harlingen should be so lucky to have a Vietnamese pho resteraunt with *actual* Vietnamese owners.

Pho #1 Vietnamese & Thai Restaurant exceeded our expectations during our recent visit. We indulged in the Pho Rau Cai and Hoänh Thánh soup, and every spoonful was a burst of flavor. The depth of the broth and the freshness of the ingredients were amazing! While the Fried tofu and chicken lettuce wrap were enjoyable, they didn't quite steal the show as the soups did. Nonetheless, they were a decent addition to our meal. Overall, Pho #1 impressed us with their delicious offerings and attentive service. We'll definitely be returning to explore more of their menu!

A truly amazing experience. We came on a Saturday night and it wasn’t packed at all. The service was professional and friendly. For appetizers we got fried pork dumplings and tofu spring rolls, which were both awesome. The peanut sauce was a 10/10. I got the pho with flank and meatballs, which had a great flavor and the meatballs didn’t have those huge pieces of fat that you see some places, which was a relief. My boyfriend got the Vermicelli with Marinated Char-Grilled Pork and it was AMAZING. The dish is served cold with fresh cooked pork and the flavors were awesome. It tasted super fresh and savory with the mix of veggies and pork. My boyfriend and I switched meals halfway through dinner because we liked what the other had better.

This is a small out-of-the-way restaurant that from the outside doesn’t have a great curb appeal, but once you step inside, you’re in it nice, elegant atmosphere. The walls are decorated with nice artwork, and the accent, lighting and music are just outstanding for a nice relaxing meal. tonight I had the cashew nut chicken with a glass of Thai iced tea. Outstanding meal and terrific service. I highly recommend this place. Tell them that Bob sent you.

This was my first visit and definitely not my last. My fellow fa and I have never been to this layover, and we were both craving some pho. We ordered the appetizer spring rolls (w/ only shrimp and no cilantro). We first ordered our drinks. We are both lemon/ lime water lovers, so that's what we chose to start w/. Unfortunately, the water that was brought to us had a very unpleasant chlorine taste. After I got the waiters attention, he apologized and asked me if I'd like bottled water instead. I thanked him and agreed to the bottled water. To my pleasant surprise, he brought a fresh clean glass of ice and some limes. It was very appreciated and unexpected. After looking over the menu for a while, we each decided on a soup. She chose the meatball pho, and I ordered the house special egg noodle soup that comes w/ chicken, pork, and shrimp. It was very tasty. Especially w/ the ba'nh mi sandwich I chose to pair it w/. Overall, it was a great place, awesome customer service, and care, very accommodating, and the food was delicious. Definitely recommend stopping by and giving this Vietnamese/ Thai Restaurant a try if you're looking for some tasty food and good service. Until my next visit, Pho#1 staff and management 😉 Next time, I want to try the pad thai or curry and pair it w/ a bubble tea or slush 😋

The food was good but it felt rushed. The service was not good. I ordered a special that noted "Free Tea", but waitress just skipped it since we ordered water at first. She didn't bother to add a lemon as requested. They gave me $10 short on cash change without a receipt. They felt shitty to me.

I had the vermicelli with tofu and it was really bland and didn't have any sprouts, which is usually standard with that dish. I also had tofu spring rolls which were delicious. I was able to use the peanut sauce that came with the rolls for sauce with the noodles since the sauce provided was almost flavorless. The price was also a little high for such an underwhelming dish. The hostesses were nice though and I liked the atmosphere.

I love the pho here but the atmosphere is really weird sometimes. I walked in to grab my to-go order and about 4 servers saw me and didn’t greet me or acknowledge me while I was waiting. They were kinda just like “yeah not my problem, I’m taking care of my tables”. No one was in the front and I stood there for what felt like forever until the owner finally came and took my payment. Very rude.

Average broth, no basil.... with pho. That's unheard of. Like having a burger with no fries... barely any chicken. The service is not good. Waitress is always rushing and won't take a moment to pay attention to what Im saying. Ordered grilled pork spring rolls. I get shrimp... I send it back, not what I ordered... by the time the replacement comes back I'm nearly done with my pho, but then it's STILL not what I ordered. I got a cold NOT GRILLED tiny amount of pork... its not what I ordered and NOT what the menu even sais... its supposed to be grilled pork...

The staff here were kind, welcoming, and attentive, but unfortunately the food was not good. Appetizers we're tiny (ordered Pork Dumplings), my Coke tasted like dishwater, and my Vegetable Pad Thai was overall bland with very lightly cooked vegetables.

The Pho soups are worth it. (We paid over $30 for what we got this place is overpriced) However, we ordered a vermicelli dish that was dry and without sauce. We also ordered the Happy family plate. The beef was tough and the shrimp tasted old. These plates were not at all what we expected. We will not return here. Nice wall painting of Saigon market! I got a# 37 Rice and pork, small piece of pork way too salty. Very small portion for the price . Also very warm in there. The plate looked very sad. Very disappointed.

Not authentic Pho. They serve it with cilantro and don't serve Thai basil with any of their menu items. Poor service-our server forgot 1/2 of our order and didn't ever check back to see how our food was or if we needed anything. The front desk person was applying makeup, was inattentive to the repeatedly ringing to-go system, and kept changing the music mid song. She did this at least 5 times during our meal, which we cut short due to the extremely tasteless, inaccurately prepared Pho. The rare steak was served already cooked well done. The broth had zero flavor. Nothing about this restaurant is worth my time and money. They also charge higher prices for using a credit card. That's a cost of doing business and inappropriate to charge extra to customers, especially considering the lack of quality.

Food is good, but the service is the worst thing I could ever imagine throughout the states. I ordered food to pick up, a male who I presume is the manager smacked my phone away saying “Tip! Tip! Tip!” With no feature to tip less than 15%. I’m not tipping for food, that’s only for service. Terrible hospitality. They need to fire that person or fix him.
