This place hands down has been my favorite burger spot since 2008. We eat burgers ALOT in our family and no one gets even close to perfecting a burger like Tailgates! In the hundreds of times I’ve ate here I’ve never had a single bad meal but what’s even better is that through out the years the taste has been consistent. Service is also 100%!! We always get our food really fast, it’s hot, tastes delicious and made exactly how you ordered it. I’m sort of glad this place is not talked about too much so that we never have to wait on a table, but if you’re questioning if you should eat here, the answer is a definite YES!!!

The fried bacon burger was as advertised. All fresh ingredients, huge 1/3 pound burger cooked medium rare like I asked. Hot crispy fries, crisp veggies. Literally a perfect burger. Angie the bartender ( I think that was her name I forgot it was busy and the day shift ) gave me lots of recommendations and we talked about San Antonio. Really cool atmosphere like a dive bar but hiding a really good restaurant. I live in San Antonio but if I’m back in Houston any time soon I would definitely go back. Cool area on midtown too.

We went there for the Buffalo Bills tailgate the day before the Texans/Bills game. It was so fun to see so many Bills fans gathered together. The food and drink prices were decent. We no longer live in the Buffalo area and they were grilling Sahlen's hot dogs, so that was a treat as they are not available where we live. The place was packed, both inside and at all the stations set up outside. Although the lines were long, it was expected and we had a great time.

Stopped in before the game and enjoyed it—good energy and Astros game volume already going before first pitch. Service was fast (Val bartender), and the staff made for some great conversation. Perfect spot to kick things off!

I ordered chicken fried steak which was crunchy and had good flavor. The mashed potatoes were also good but I would not get the jalapeño Mac and cheese again and would not recommend it. It didn’t taste very good and the texture was strange and disappointing especially given how much I love Mac and cheese. Our tables were sticky but the restaurant itself looked very clean and was pretty empty considering it was dinner time. They weren’t able to make the drink I wanted/ was craving which was also disappointing but understandable. The waitress was attentive but not overly friendly. There are games inside for those that want to play, including guitar hero. There is seating by the bar, throughout the restaurant and in areas that are more open to the outside. Parking can be a little difficult during peak hours, it’s limited on the street surrounding the restaurant.

Found a great weekend spot! A bunch of us decided to gather here to catch some football 🏈 games. The atmosphere was chill but also busy with a large variety of TVs featuring all different games - so no matter your team, you’d be able to watch. Our waitress was quick, efficient, and extremely nice. The food was average but I do have to mention their menu has an enormous list to choose from, which is cool! Christian’s is supposedly known for their burgers, 🍔 but a few people at our tables ordered them and rated them a 6 out of 10. The egg rolls & frito pies were a delicious option. In the end I can say this place is worth a visit! Happy Eating! 🙌

I've driven by this place hundreds of times and never stopped because it seemed to challenging to park. I stopped today and got a sweet spot out front. I'm out on a solo bar crawl (yes, on a Wednesday...don't judge me!) and this is stop #1. The atmosphere is is for sure a vibe. It has a grungy, dive-bar feel with lots of games and "stuff" to do while hanging out. The service was just ok. The bartender did serve me almost as soon as I walked up but she didn't really check back. I had one shot and closed the tab but I was still hanging out at the bar. She kind of got wrapped up in conversation with people at the other end of the bar and never quite got back to me. From my perspective, for a better service rating, I would've liked to have been asked if I wanted another drink or if I wanted water. I'm actually hungry and painted on the outside of the building is " best burgers in town" but I wasn't even offered a menu. This is NOT a bad review. It's a growth review.

Pretty much everything was bad. Cokes were flat. The poor bartender tried her hardest to get the fizz going but to no avail so I tried the self-serve station and it was also flat. the frito pie I ordered had (1) stale Fritos (2) lukewarm chili which was probably straight from a can and (3) cheese that did not melt because the chili was lukewarm. The overall flavor was really flat and just unappetizing. We ordered appetizers for the table and the sampler was no better. Mozzarella sticks are usually a slam dunk but even those had this strange aftertaste that I couldn’t put my finger on. Fried pickles were mostly batter because the pickles were cut into tiny little toothpicks. What a waste of money.

They have happy hour for food and drinks which seems like a good deal at first, but in reality, they skimp out on the portions and drinks. So you’re actually paying way more than what it is worth. The drinks they serve are the tiniest, most watered down drinks in the city- mostly ice. Also, they advertised brand liquor, but it turned out to be well alcohol they put in the brand bottles. Stop with the false advertising. Please do better.
