I've been there a couple of times. Food and everything was very good!!! I'll be there again!
Probably in the top 2 Mexican food eateries in Kerr Co. Very flavorful meats. Not a Tex-Mex joint. Very personable staff.
Very consistent and well prepared food. Nothing fancy, just good tex-mex. The staff is very friendly and attentive.
Affordable Tex Mex in a ni
The food is very delicious and very6 polite and service is great.
They have the best Chili Rellenos and omg the Cielo,Mar, y Tierra... Only place in you town that I have ever found that dish and it is so good. Friendly servers and great food. Very clean!
Have enjoyed 7 yrs of good food and service here. (Since moving / traveling in the area)
Very good fajitas. Cheese dip was so good. We really had a good experience. Definitely will return.
I had the migas and added chorizo this morning for breakfast. Hands down, no question, best migas ive ever had. I'm from west Texas and have yet to have Mexican food that has amazed me since moving to San Antonio. This did it.
Great value, great service. Homemade and delicious
Hands down our favorite Mexican restaurant. This is the authentic Mexican food I grew up eating. With so many Mexican restaurants in Kerrville, this one stands out as one of the best.
The food is very, very good.we will definitely come back again when I'm in kerrville texas.which is friday.
The food here is great and the staff is friendly. While the building feels a little old it's still clean.
I support all small businesses in the hill country. I ESPECIALLY enjoy that it is part of the I.P.I. And for those that don't know, stands for INGRAM. PRIDE. INSIDE. GO WARRIORS. THE FOOD IS AMAZING. SUPPORT YOUR SMALL AND LOCAL BUSINESSES. CUZ WITHOUT THEM, WE WOULD HAVE NO CITIES OR TOWNS. WAKE UP AMERICA. BEFORE IT'S TO F....ING LATE.
me and my daughter and granddaughter we stop in one morning for breakfast and might I add the experience was great we got great service the food was great I left the pretty nice tip because of the service was so nice I will definitely be back again
We stopped in for lunch today and was pleasantly surprised! Our waitress Kory was a sweetheart! I'm one week post-surgery and haven't been feeling my best. She quickly accommodated my Coca-Cola request, which instantly started to make me feel better. I had the enchilada plate, my husband had the Jalisco plate and the kiddos had the tamales and fajita quesadilla. Food was delicious! We'll definitely be back next time we're in town! 😊
Service was very good and fast.
No question about it. Best Tex-Mex anywhere near Ingram. Breakfast tacos are great and $20 will completely feed half a dozen people - and I eat a lot. My favorite are the migas breakfast tacos. And, lunches are great also!
We had breakfast here (through the drive up) today. I had huevos rancheros and hubby had their chorizo and eggs. Both meals were beyond our expectations! They were the best Mexican food we have had since leaving Commiefornia. We will definitely be back ❤
My 82 year old mother's favorite breakfast place in Kerrville. The staff is incredibly nice and patient with gringos. I personally like the street tacos with radish and chili con queso Blanca, and the coffee is great.
We knew we'd stumbled upon a hidden gem when the waitress brought out the nicest, creamiest queso blanco any one of us (1 Arizona transplant to Texas and 2 long-time New Mexicans) had ever had. Excellent down-home Mexican food, generous plates, good service.
Ive been eating at this place for about 10 years. Food is still great as it has always been. Wait staff are good. Im not going to knock this place over one forgetfull or slow waiteress. Thats like 1 out of 100 here.
very very good food. really short handed
Love their crispy tacos and beef enchiladas! Great chips and salsa. These folks are some of the nicest people in Kerrville! Eat lunch here often.
Most definitely a 5 Star staff due to their tasty hot food made especially as requested, great service, clean restaurant, and restrooms, and family run service putting the customer first in beautiful booths w comfort. Must try and you'll see all this and more. 👍
Very good service. Enchiladas good and hot! Refried beans excellent
Excellent service, very good food, not a long wait time which was a pleasant surprise. Would recommend them to my friends and family for sure.
Good food, staff was cordial and service fast. We had beef and pork burrito. Not bad on the pocket book either.
Excellent as usual! We usually get it to-go... Sometimes there is lettuce and tomatoes on the dinner after we asked for not. That's the reason for a 4, but no big deal. We pick it off. Still excellent, authentic flavor. 👍
They always have great food and the atmosphere was perfect for our group of 5 to have lunch and talk with normal volume voices. The prices are great and the service was fast and attentive, too! BTW we went for lunch.
It was such a great experience, super friendly survice and the food was hot and fresh but most importantly delicious, I would most definitely come back before leaving this town.
The food was excellent. My husband and I ordered the small taquitos of Tripas. They were very crispy, as ordered , the pick de gallon was not hot, just tasty. Oh, and their frijoles, (beans) were very, very good. If you like Tripas I recommend d this plate. Thank you, Los Altos de Jalisco.
This is a great restaurant. Service was top-notch our waitress was on top of her game. The food was great very hot and great tasting. Make sure you try the white queso (cheese). This was our first time here my wife and I loved it.
Drive thru… The carne asada was on point tonight! Salsas are always really good. They also have a killer cheesesteak burrito! My advice is to request that they go easy on the onions. Prices have gone up a bit, but it’s no their fault.
We came by for lunch for the first time and we were very impressed with the options, food, service, and ambiance. Thank you!
Prossional service. Great food. Would definitely recommend this place 👌
We ate here twice in 3 days. The second time was because the food was so great the first time, we had to go back to get it again. I had the Sky Bowl both times. It's not called "sky bowl" on menu; it's called "Cielo......." (I can't remember its name on the menu and can't find it online.) It consists of grilled shrimp, grilled steak bite size pieces, and grilled chicken breast bite size pieces in a bowl with their queso cheese dip on it. It comes with a side of pico de gallo, warm tortilla shells (corn or flour) wrapped in foil, and torilla chips with salsa. This dish is absolutely phenomenal! I highly recommend this place and this dish. The second time I also had a side of rice and refried beans which were fantastic as well.
I haven't eaten there in 20 years I went today and I love the remodeled restaurant and the dip chips were very good and the Mexican plate was very good and our waiter was awesome he did a very good service
Service: when I came in, no body said hello, I sat down for several minutes, no body came to wait on me until I asked for a wait staff. They were playing on their phones, watching TV and talking to each other. Only one couple was there besides me and they had already eaten. So the place was not busy. My waitress was an illegal who didn't know English so she go someone else to help me. My waitress did a great job. The beef soup was delicious. Thx
This is such a cozy and great location. It's right off the highway and parking is plentiful even when they are busy. The wait staff is incredibly friendly and the food is amazing. They even asked us if we wanted to go cups with our meals so we could take the tasty iced tea with us on a hot day. Check this place out, it's fantastic!
Food was delicious, pricing fair, great service. Will definitely come back.
Great authentic food. Very broad menu...priced right. Beer & wine avail. Nice folks too.
The food was pretty good, I'd definitely eat here again. And the price wasn't outrageous like a lot of other places.
Fast, cheap solid food. Classic Tex Mex. Limited bar, premixed Margs. I enjoyed these tacos, lots of flavour.
Place was very cozy and clean. Food was good and tasty. Service was awesome always checking on us. Will definitely come back
Not a fancy place but very clean. Really good mexican food at a very reasonable. I ate there many times while staying in Ingram. It was always good.
The food is Really Good. The Servers are very kind and stay on top of what their customers need. It's nice and homey.
Breakfast tacos almost always a win win. Some cooks are just better than others. Price is good compared to others.
We are from Odessa, but every time were in Kerrville we go for the tacos and michelada. Not only are they cheap but very big. The barbacoa and chicharon are some of my favs.
Always a solid choice for Mexican food in Ingram. Salsas are good and flavorful I had a Jalisco burrito and my son had a parriada plate. He had so much food, he wasn't able to finish it and that's rare.
I wish the tortilla soup had more vegetables like zucchini or something of that sort. If you don’t get any chicken, which this time I didn’t get but a few slivers , then you’re just left with onions one rice and broth and tortilla strips, and a couple slices of alvocado. The soup has a very good flavor non the less.
Watress was wonderful. She laughed and talked with our group of 12. Her Recommendations were excellent Food was outstanding. Serving size was large enough that Several of us took boxes home. Prices were reasonable. Our 12 ate for $160 including a 20% tip. Tip percentage was our choice not the Restuarant. I will return.
Food is good...good flavor. Staff is friendly. I have eaten here many times and had various dishes from the chicken tortilla soup, tacos, flautas, rice & beans & I love ther chile relleno. Was not a fan of the carne guisada...not a bad flavor, just not the best meat IMO.
The atmosphere was average. It wasn't bad. The food was good, although I overheard someone look at their beans and slowly state, "Those are a strange color." Mine were good as was the taco. I recommend this place.
Good Mexican food, quick service. Prices were very reasonable in the Biden inflation times. My wife ordered the chicken breast and it was very good, the enchiladas were typical nothing great but nothing bad. We will certainly return next time we are in the area.
They have one of the best hamburgers in town. The last couple of times there were different fries...not as good. Please bring back your old fries, please. Other than that, great Tex-Mex at friendly prices.
Over charge at checkout. I have cout them 2 times..$6.00 over charge.. make sure to look at your ticket.. that's y they don't have the tickets at the table..😭
The food is pretty good. Service here is often questionable. Seems to be a high turnover. The biggest thing you have to watch out for is dishonesty at checkout! The frequently overcharge and have for years. No kidding!
(What is UP with the new/newer female server?) Our Family has frequented this establishment for years. The food is mostly consistently good and very reasonably priced. The service is hit or miss, although mostly, it has been good - at times, excellent. Today, we came in as a 6-top. It wasn't too busy. I had never seen our server here before. When she came to get our drink orders she was curt and rude. I asked the rest of the table if I was imagining things. I was told by my daughter that the server was a favorite of my Mother's because she "gets things done." Throughout the meal, our service became less and our brief interactions with her became even more abrupt and rude. I wasn't impressesed. *** I was told that awhile back my 16 year old son was there with his Dad and some other family members and accidentally knocked over his drink. He was sorry it happened and embarrassed (no one likes to be that person who makes a mess). She was their server then and was incredibly HATEFUL to my son. She brought his drink with a LID and said (unjokingly), "Don't spill this one." I expect decent service but if you can't do that, at least don't be a total ass to your patrons. Vivian.
Liked the chicharones
I've tried this restaurant about 5 times and all 5 times I've been disappointed. My main complaint is that we are in South Central Texas and I don't know of any other Mexican restaurant who microwaves the tortillas. It's disrespectful to the culture. The tortilla is the most important beginning of an authentic Mexican dinner. They also microwave the corn tortillas as well. They don't discriminate. I very seldom give bad reviews. In fact I think this is my second time I've had to leave a bad review. This review is well deserved. If they changed the tortillas I would change my review.
A good hearty breakfast option if you're just plain hungry and ready to eat. The food was respectable to very good. I ordered the chorizo migas plate and it did its job well. I received my clean plate award. The service was good and consistent with a popular small town venue in an off peak period. I recommend stopping here after a weekend of hunting or camping at BSA Bear Creek
Food is good but spice free and they charge 99 cents for 2 small flour tortillas. Mexican restaurents usually provide at least two per person free with the meal.
Food pretty good but salsa could us some tweaking. Just not to my taste.. also hot flour/corn tortillas not offered with meal. Dissapointed.
Good food. However it was nearly impossible to get something after you ordered, including drink refills and the rest of your order.
I've gone to this restaurant for years. I've learned what to order. I've always enjoyed their Caldo de Rez, but today it wasn't good. The carrots were raw as was the potato chunk that I got. I got a center chunk of cabbage which was raw too. The rice had way too much cumin. Arfffffffff. Ughhhhh! Nasty.🤢 However, it had a great flavor but I didn't enjoy it as much. I ate the chunk of meat with my corn tortillas. I took my chips and tea and left. The chips were great; fresh/ hot chips. That was probably the best part of my meal. I don't know what happened this time.🤷
Not very good at all. Cheese enchiladas contains Mexican oregano. Tried all three hot sauces and not one was hot. Food is edible but not tasty. Also service was at best inattentive. Try another place instead. 😖
No prices whatsoever on the menu. Waitress said she could get me the price of the item I wanted. Didn't like that idea.
Food is decent but ordinary. I go there occasionally cause it's walking distance to my home. However if Soap Operas and the show "The View" irratates you as much as me, then you might wanna forgo this place. It's the only thing I've seen on their TV the last several times I went.. unpleasant lol
I wanted to check this place out since the parking lot is always full. Wish I'd have spent my money elsewhere. Service was decent. The salsa tastes like marinara sauce. Actually everything tasted like marinara sauce. They use Basil in all of their food. Even the green and regular enchiladas had basil flavor. The flautas were pretty good and the queso was the only thing that made the rest of the food bearable. Probably not going back.
Excellent service for sure. Waitress was friendly, attentive and on top of her game. Place was clean. My problem was the plate i ordered. Burrito w/carne asada smothered w/cheese sauce. It was more like meat bits with about a whole raw white onion packed inside! Cheese sauce was ok, but hardly enough to cover the burrito. It was disappointing. Others at my table ordered cheeseburgers. Better choice. I would recommend you try for yourself.
This place is not good. First of all the seating was horrible, very tight, uncomfortable. Second our orders were all wrong, didn't matter because the food was not good. Mooshy rice, old beans, enchiladas had no flavor, carne guisada looks like from a can. Would not go back or recommend.
Ordered 1 menudo, 2 barbacoa tacos, a burger, and quesadilla. The menudo was not good. The hominy was not cooked long enough and the tripe was not cooked long enough. The broth of the menudo had little flavor. I wanted a Barbacoa burrito that they would not sell me. You should make the customer what they want. The burger and quesadilla was a 4.
This restaurant used to be my go to for a quick Mexican meal. Now the quality is horrid and they decided not to put prices on the menu.
I don't like to leave bad feedback, but since I get in the service was very poor and food very unflavored, on my own experience I'm not coming back
BAD SERVICE. slow, forgetful wait staff. Very long wait for food. Too many rules about brkfst, charge for chips during brkfst. Can't order lunch entrees during brkfst time.
The worst Mexican food so far in the area. The meat was off tasting and the sauce they put on their enchiladas taste like it came from a can. Got food poisoning from this place.
To go food is now a rip. Added gratuity to an order of chicken fajitas for 3 and a queso. There wasn't enough chicken to have 2 fajitas per person.
Seriously? I thought I’d give this place a try, but “live and learn”! I got the combo meal of cheese Chile relleno (which was slimy), a beef enchilada(which was just plain flavorless hamburger meat) and a chicken taco (shell was premade Taco Bell sort and chicken was pale..I believe the consistency was of canned!).
Worst food I have ever tasted! Terrible service. Stay away from this place. I had a few bites of my meal and started getting sick. They refused to let me speak to a manager and even made me pay for the meal.
No prices, total poor idea. TV was Spanish news and so load could not visit or answer a phone call, rude. Nobody ever comes back to check on table have to get up and ask for help. Restroom disgusting .
Went today and got menudo. Menudo had no flavor. Won't be coming here anymore. Waitress was nice but food was not seasoned
I ordered bean and chesse nachos from this terrible establishment that used to be a gas station and while I was eating I bite into a rock that was in the beans and a piece of my tooth came out and when I called to let them know what happened I didn't even get as much as an apology and was told the beans come with rocks in them before they are cook amd that I could order another plate of bean and cheese nachos at a discount. I was treated so disrespectfully and I will no longer be eating here again. I fully intend to contact the department of health regarding this matter.
I never had any problem before but monday my whole family went in and ordered completely different plates and all of us have been sick for two days. Beware it was not fun!
I placed an order to go from this restaurant. They got the order wrong of course I didn't discover it until I got home as it was a to-go order. I live 15 mi from the restaurant. I tried to call them to talk to a manager, they hung up on me. I called again thinking maybe it was a mistake. I asked again to speak with a manager the lady who answered said "no here" again she hung up. I called back again, ask to speak with someone who could speak English, the woman said they were busy, I said I would wait, again she hung on me. I will never go to this restaurant they were very rude, did not even want to know what the problem was. Horrible. I'm just saying 😠😠
Was awful!! All the times I've been it's been good. Here lately not good. My barbaco taco was cold and the meat was old and sour. Pancakes got a lot smaller. Had cactus and it was a old reheat from the fridge it was COLD. And the grease they used was stale. Coffee was bitter and diet was flat. I was sick after smelling and biting into that sour cold meat. Not going back..
Can NOT recommend and will not be back. I called ahead and went through the drive thru. Everything seemed fine until I got home and realized they had forgotten my tortillas. I called and the man said “oh yeah I was about to call you”(I highly doubt that). After driving back up there to get my tortillas I see that what I thought I was getting(or had ordered)wasn’t all there and whoever I had been dealing with had no idea what I was talking about and wanted to charge me more for tortillas! I was beyond frustrated and I knew my food was sitting at home getting cold. So needless to say I just left, came home and ate our bland, cold food. Also only gave us a tiny bag of chips for 3 meals and an order of queso.
I walked out for not being waited on. I walked to kitchen a observed the waitresses chatting. The dining room had approximately six tables that appeared to being neglwcted. I asked if someone was going to bring a menu. One of the staff said we will be with you in a minute. I walked to my table and the waitresses were still in the serving area. I walked out for the last time. I went to the taqueria down the street and got much better service.
Absolutely the worst plate I have ever had to pay for. If I didn’t pay for it I would have just left it. I got the carne guisada and I have feed my dog alpo that looks better. I truly was grossed out and wanted to stop eating midway. Their rice was overcooked and I could tell by just looking at it. Their beans looked like they had been left out all day. The guisada had absolutely zero flavor. It looks like someone just threw something on a plate and didn’t care that a human would eat it. I feed my doggy better food, seriously. I’ve eaten here before but I usually just buy the carne asada tacos and leave. Those are not bad. But last night I figured why not buy a whole plate. Well, what a waste of hard earned money.
If you like unseasoned food and rude management, this is the place for you. Spent $30 on one meal and the meat had no seasoning, the chips were so hard and stale we couldn’t even eat them. We asked for extra tortillas and got 4 total and on top of that they were hard around the edges. I called the owner and I was nice as my dad owns restaurants. The owner was unbelievably rude and not helpful at all. Her exact words were “well the chips were fresh, so I’m not sure what you want me to do about it” DONT GO HERE
Went through drive through and the lady immediately was irritated that we didn't call ahead and rolled her eyes at us. Then we order she takes our card and then tells us it's $14 for four tacos while she was already processing the charge. Then we tried to cancel and they tried to pretend that they didn't know how to refund the charge and both people we dealt with had a terrible attitude. Finally they gave us our money back in cash. Definitely don't recommend based on customer service and steep pricing.
