Drive thru… The carne asada was on point tonight! Salsas are always really good. They also have a killer cheesesteak burrito! My advice is to request that they go easy on the onions. Prices have gone up a bit, but it’s no their fault.
We came by for lunch for the first time and we were very impressed with the options, food, service, and ambiance. Thank you!
Prossional service. Great food. Would definitely recommend this place 👌
We ate here twice in 3 days. The second time was because the food was so great the first time, we had to go back to get it again. I had the Sky Bowl both times. It's not called "sky bowl" on menu; it's called "Cielo......." (I can't remember its name on the menu and can't find it online.) It consists of grilled shrimp, grilled steak bite size pieces, and grilled chicken breast bite size pieces in a bowl with their queso cheese dip on it. It comes with a side of pico de gallo, warm tortilla shells (corn or flour) wrapped in foil, and torilla chips with salsa. This dish is absolutely phenomenal! I highly recommend this place and this dish. The second time I also had a side of rice and refried beans which were fantastic as well.
I haven't eaten there in 20 years I went today and I love the remodeled restaurant and the dip chips were very good and the Mexican plate was very good and our waiter was awesome he did a very good service
Service: when I came in, no body said hello, I sat down for several minutes, no body came to wait on me until I asked for a wait staff. They were playing on their phones, watching TV and talking to each other. Only one couple was there besides me and they had already eaten. So the place was not busy. My waitress was an illegal who didn't know English so she go someone else to help me. My waitress did a great job. The beef soup was delicious. Thx
This is such a cozy and great location. It's right off the highway and parking is plentiful even when they are busy. The wait staff is incredibly friendly and the food is amazing. They even asked us if we wanted to go cups with our meals so we could take the tasty iced tea with us on a hot day. Check this place out, it's fantastic!
Food is good...good flavor. Staff is friendly. I have eaten here many times and had various dishes from the chicken tortilla soup, tacos, flautas, rice & beans & I love ther chile relleno. Was not a fan of the carne guisada...not a bad flavor, just not the best meat IMO.
The atmosphere was average. It wasn't bad. The food was good, although I overheard someone look at their beans and slowly state, "Those are a strange color." Mine were good as was the taco. I recommend this place.
Good Mexican food, quick service. Prices were very reasonable in the Biden inflation times. My wife ordered the chicken breast and it was very good, the enchiladas were typical nothing great but nothing bad. We will certainly return next time we are in the area.
They have one of the best hamburgers in town. The last couple of times there were different fries...not as good. Please bring back your old fries, please. Other than that, great Tex-Mex at friendly prices.
Liked the chicharones
I've tried this restaurant about 5 times and all 5 times I've been disappointed. My main complaint is that we are in South Central Texas and I don't know of any other Mexican restaurant who microwaves the tortillas. It's disrespectful to the culture. The tortilla is the most important beginning of an authentic Mexican dinner. They also microwave the corn tortillas as well. They don't discriminate. I very seldom give bad reviews. In fact I think this is my second time I've had to leave a bad review. This review is well deserved. If they changed the tortillas I would change my review.
A good hearty breakfast option if you're just plain hungry and ready to eat. The food was respectable to very good. I ordered the chorizo migas plate and it did its job well. I received my clean plate award. The service was good and consistent with a popular small town venue in an off peak period. I recommend stopping here after a weekend of hunting or camping at BSA Bear Creek
This place is not good. First of all the seating was horrible, very tight, uncomfortable. Second our orders were all wrong, didn't matter because the food was not good. Mooshy rice, old beans, enchiladas had no flavor, carne guisada looks like from a can. Would not go back or recommend.
Ordered 1 menudo, 2 barbacoa tacos, a burger, and quesadilla. The menudo was not good. The hominy was not cooked long enough and the tripe was not cooked long enough. The broth of the menudo had little flavor. I wanted a Barbacoa burrito that they would not sell me. You should make the customer what they want. The burger and quesadilla was a 4.
Absolutely the worst plate I have ever had to pay for. If I didn’t pay for it I would have just left it. I got the carne guisada and I have feed my dog alpo that looks better. I truly was grossed out and wanted to stop eating midway. Their rice was overcooked and I could tell by just looking at it. Their beans looked like they had been left out all day. The guisada had absolutely zero flavor. It looks like someone just threw something on a plate and didn’t care that a human would eat it. I feed my doggy better food, seriously. I’ve eaten here before but I usually just buy the carne asada tacos and leave. Those are not bad. But last night I figured why not buy a whole plate. Well, what a waste of hard earned money.
If you like unseasoned food and rude management, this is the place for you. Spent $30 on one meal and the meat had no seasoning, the chips were so hard and stale we couldn’t even eat them. We asked for extra tortillas and got 4 total and on top of that they were hard around the edges. I called the owner and I was nice as my dad owns restaurants. The owner was unbelievably rude and not helpful at all. Her exact words were “well the chips were fresh, so I’m not sure what you want me to do about it” DONT GO HERE
Went through drive through and the lady immediately was irritated that we didn't call ahead and rolled her eyes at us. Then we order she takes our card and then tells us it's $14 for four tacos while she was already processing the charge. Then we tried to cancel and they tried to pretend that they didn't know how to refund the charge and both people we dealt with had a terrible attitude. Finally they gave us our money back in cash. Definitely don't recommend based on customer service and steep pricing.
