The food is mad good
Free dimsum
Say it again, these kids eat really good. Food is very impressive.
Tons of variety, generally good food, tons of seating, and halal and kosher stations.
As a worker it great food better than other place I have been too
Great food and atmosphere
$13 for non-meal plan admission. Great food.
Amazing food, very clean and polite staff
Great food choices and cheap price.
Phenomenal service and availability. Imagine a diner on buffet (except the late hours)
Great Chinese food! Various choices!
peak cornell dining
Great uni cafeteria - lots of choices
Great Variety, Cornell Dairy Yogurt.
Mac&Cheese and Fish on Friday are the best👌
Wide variety of food, was he for a meeting
I just had tandoori chicken (Indian dish) and it was better than what I get at most Indian restaurants in the US.
The price is reasonable while the food is high quality

Great place to be, vibe, and eat Some times there's piano being played down stairs .. it's really nice
Love this place for a Cornell workday lunch. It's basically an all you can eat food court at a reasonable price!
A variety of healthy options for different tastes, including kosher and halal stations, cultural foods, and many (decent!) vegan and vegetarian dishes
Yummy gurmet foods for affordable prices! Very flavorful not because of sauce or seasoning but the freshness of the ingredients bring out the natural flavor. Don't get me wrong. The seasoning is light and perfect!
I just adore the Sunday brunch. There is so much variety and it is very tasteful. The made to order omelettes, the egg benedict, the asian dimsum platter, the pizzas, the meat chops, it is just wonderful. A dinner I had there was also very good.

Good plastic to eat
As far as dining centres go, this one is unexceptional but does cater to a variety of dietary needs, such as halal or vegetarian.
Good food. But why there's no beef?
Good good but kinda expensive
Probably the best dining hall on North campus. Food is consistently good. Good Asian and Italian fare.
Very good standard college dining hall has a very good salad bar and menu choices change daily
North Star (April) is my second favorite dining hall on North campus. I am gluten free and for me there are SO many more options than RPCC. Also, the choices here change more often than RPCC. Plus, it’s the only dining hall on North campus that is open for breakfast. I would especially recommend this dining hall for perspective students visiting the campus because it is really close to the Martin Yang Welcome Center. RPCC vos. Appel is strongly debated but my vote goes to North Star!

Vegan options are better than rpcc, but the overall quality usually goes down when you have to cook for thousands of people everyday.
This is for their dining hall. Great variety of good food. They alternate the menu at a good frequency as well. One of my favorite things to do is fill a bowl with Cornell Dairy yogurt and granola that they always have and mix it all together.
Above average, and that is how it will feel. Eating there 2- 3 times a day will make you feel like you have very little options, and there is lots of repetition. However, they do a good enough job on the actual food, but it isn't DELICIOUS like you might get at a smaller, high quality restaurant
When it comes to dining on Cornell's North campus, you can't go wrong with Appel's dining hall. There is an insane variety of options and it's very easy to eat there with dietary restrictions (they have an allergen free zone and a kosher area!)
Good north campus dining hall. Always has fries, Asian food, pizza, homestyle food, a halal station, salad, cereal and desserts. Personally, I prefer RPME, but North Star is good and worth trying.
Decent all you care to eat dining option on the Cornell campus. Of these on campus, this one probably has the most selection. Check the menu out each day to see what the special is.
A decent variety of dishes that changes from meal to meal and day to day. You can see specific offerings online, but they always have pizza, a salad bar, chicken (usually grilled breast), and baked goods + ice cream for dessert. The appearance of Mexican and East Asian is common, but not garunteed. Highly recommend if you are looking for clean protein (chicken breast) or some crispy, greasy, sheet-stle pizza. Not for those seeking an exciting or particularly seasoned experience. P.S. the best meal is usually the Sunday brunch.
The food here is usually pretty good. I've only ever eaten here during the pandemic, so everything's socially distanced and all that. The tofu is never very good, so if you're a vegetarian that's pretty unfortunate, but the pork? Always amazing, whatever dish they serve. The people are friendly enough (it seems like everyone is here in Ithaca), and the service is good. Solid four stars.

It's okay, but there are much better dining experiences available near North Star.
Decent food, not the best for breakfast though
strawberries need to be washed!!!!!! too dirty T. T i cant eat that...
Preferred Toni Morrison dinning hall.
Good food standard fare
Dining here felt like I was a farm animal. They would "dump" food into the bins and us animals would scurry over and fight each other until the bin was empty, then wandered away and lurked for the next feeding. Also, the food is so salty, I felt like I licked a block of salt for an hour. Come on Cornell, you can do better for our kids.
Good variety of food. Can get redundant, and they dint know how to use spices

Don't talk about the dinning room talk about that which support it the fish room and management when something needs too be fix is kids first or the equipment
Typical Cornell dining hall - edible at best, limited menu, loud, crowded, and expensive.

Better than rpcc
Let me begin by saying the staff of the North Star dining hall is not reflected by the food they serve. The staff is consistently patient and helpful, however nothing they can do to counteract the horrible experience in terms of food I had tonight. Boy oh boy did I have a delectable treat on the night of 8/27 at North Star Dining hall! As a freshman at Cornell University, I get unlimited meal swipes, essentially making dining hall food free. However, you could not pay me enough to eat the meal I just consumed for a second time. I waited in the longest line for food I’ve seen at Cornell just to be served the most diabolical dish I’ve ever seen. Let me begin by describing the vegetable options. I was offered an entire bush of broccoli (unchopped to edible size and hardly steamed) and half-cooked baby carrots (that I declined). I added some mashed potatoes to my plate with high hopes (soon to be dashed). After my third bite of the potatoes, my mouth began rejecting it frantically. I felt a slight burning sensation in my mouth as if it was spicy, but forced myself to continue as every other food facility on campus was closed due to the UAW strike. After I built up the courage, I took my chicken drumstick in my hand. It instantly went limp in my hand (bone and all) and all hopes I had for the meal vanished. I took a bite and sure enough, it felt as though I had taken a bite of a rubber tire. At that point, I resigned myself to being hungry. The UAW strike must come to a fair agreement with Cornell university as soon as possible for the sake of all the students.

i think the workers in red t shirt are all student workers and i believe his name is kevin or something that ends in ‘in’ and he wears glasses. i only caught a glimpse of the little name pin while we walked past each other from the bathroom yesterday but this disgusting guy does not wash his hands after using the bathroom. please do something about your workers hygiene. 🤮🤮🤮
