Enjoyed the view as we sat on the covered patio. We had lunch consisting of a huge chicken Caesar salad and quesadilla stuffed with peppers, onions, chicken. Very good!!

7/24 We had 12 people in our party and the servers and manager on duty were very courteous and speedy. The clam chowder was very good. Also, the coffee, pulled pork, chicken as well as the burgers. The onion rings were great! This was my second time eating at the Lookout Cafe and I will go back again.

Good service, good view and good food. We enjoyed the chicken wings and the calamari salad. The po boy sandwich was also a good option. Recommended

One of the best views of Lake George around. I can't recommend the tempura sweet potato slices enough, they're awesome.

Great, fast service. Got the fish and chips and the hot dog, both were simple but good and good portions. I appreciate that they allow adults to order off their kids menu. The views over the lake and of the nearby boats were great.

Food and service were awesome. Tho the prices are a bit steep. 23 for a burger.

The 1755 burger and the Shrimp Sandwich are so good. Service top notch as well.

Stopped here for lunch one day while shopping, and it was the best meal we ate out our entire time in Lake George! The food was fresh, the service was good and the alcoholic smoothies were delicious. Tasted like real fresh fruit smoothies. Definitely recommend checking this place out, and it's in walking distance of many shops and Fort William Henry.

Had a chicken quesadilla, hands down the best quesadilla I've ever had. The view is really nice as well, and the staff is fast and friendly.

Nice place, great view! Cold beer and drinks. Didn't have any food but the menu looked good. The management wouldn't let us sit at the large tables if we didn't order food, the place was half empty, rules, rules, rules..

J

Ordered the grilled chicken sandwich with roasted red peppers. Boyfriend ordered the turkey wrap, said it was tasty. Very good food. Great view. Friendly staff. I appreciate that the plastic cups are made from corn and are 100% compostable. Good idea for a lake front restaurant.

Just got done eating lunch at Lookout Cafe. It was wonderful!! The food, the view, the staff, all absolutely fabulous!! Lexy, our waitress went above and beyond for all of us!! I can’t wait to come back and enjoy it all.

Stopped by for a snack and some drinks and to enjoy the view. Quesadillas were excellent, drinks were great. Our server, Taylor, was friendly and attentive. No complaints whatsoever, will definitely return. We were initially hesitant because of the lousy reviews, but glad we went anyway.

Been here several times. An outdoor but covered location with very good burgers and great views of the lake and mountains. Located right at the bottom of Lake George (see view from cafe).

R

We really enjoyed the food and the waitress was very nice and attentive. The portions are very large. We all had leftovers for dinner tonight! The view was beautiful, right across from the docks for the boat tours and public docking.

First time here and this place is amazing! Food is great and service is great. The view from the outdoor restaurant is the best! Just be aware they open at noon. The sign on the steps up has 11:30.

We loved that it overlooked the lake! The kids got to see all the boats going in and going out. There was music playing. We went on a Tuesday night so it wasn't crowded. Our hostess was super friendly, and the portion sizes were big!

Lovely service, view, and vibe! The food was tasty, reasonably priced, and came out very quickly. The shrimp po boy sandwich is worth a try! Would definitely return in the future.

I would give 1000 stars if I could, especially to Blaire. After a hellish morning over at the Tamarack and arguing with a few other restaurants about food allergies (they did not care and did not care to even try to accommodate a 1 year old) i called the Lookout Bar and Grill. I had the pleasure of speaking to Blaire and explained that my 1 year old has egg and dairy allergies. She reassured me they acomodate food allergies. When I placed an order for french fries and chicken tenders, she even placed me on hold and went to check with the chef that the chicken tender batter had no egg or dairy. I went to pick up my order and just cried and told her how happy she had made me for being so kind, understanding and helpful for making sure the meal for my daughter was safe for her to eat. I also spoke to her manager to tell her how absolutely wonderful Blaire was and how thankful I was for the establishment. She was also wonderful, personalble and caring. The world needs more people like Blaire! We will absolutely be dining here evey time we come to visit!

Always a favorite, our family has frequented the overlook every year..at least twice, since my teen girls were little. Most food tasty.. staff VERY friendly but the view is the main attraction.

Marie was amazing the minute we entered the restaurant with our German shepherd. She welcomed us and quickly bright Arya water. One of the cooks came out to welcome us and see our dog. The waiter was so polite and very quick to bring drinks and the food. He was from Turkey and his name began with A. The fish and chips werethe best I’ve had since living in Maine. My husband got the Buffalo wrap and that was so delicious. I would highly recommend this restaurant. The view was awesome too. Five stars for sure!

We've been coming to lake George for years and we love the lookout! Tonight they let my brother and I make our own burger challenge. a 2 pound burger the "Mossey quatro" we told them they should absolutely start a legit burger challenge. And put it on the menu. Thanks for having us and we loved watching the fireworks too! You guys are awesome

After walking around town it was time for lunch. So glad we chose this place. The food was good and our server Luisa was fantastic! She was very friendly and checked on us to see if we needed anything further which most servers don’t do. Thank you for a great experience!

I like that everything they serve food in is disposable, it faces the lake, right next to the Fort, the Steamboat, beach and other restaurants and bars. Prime location, and drinks are decent. The waitresses are great, I went twice and was very pleased with the girls. Bathroom could be better/bigger.

Both the atmosphere and menu are great for family dining. Something for all ages. The Mexican style carnitas salad bowl was so good. Friendly staff. Great food. Great view of Lake George 💜

excellent service. great food and great beer. wish they had a heating in the restaurant so it would be better to enjoy the view. the trees in the front also killed the view but overall loved the nachos and the burgers.

Good place for casual dining. Seating is on upper level with the lakeside open but they do have rain curtains if needed. Portions were good sized and served quickly. The Fish and Chips was the best of the meals we ordered but the others were good too. We will definitely go back again.

Stopped here yesterday for lunch Had the 1755 burger- huge and very good. Found the hostess less than attentive but super impressed with the manager who stopped by to check in and send a drink order over. Good location, well run, limited but tasty menu. Worth the stop

Good food, wonderful views of the lake and the ships heading out on tours, like the Minne Ha Ha and the Horicon. We also saw a pontoon plane land as well as several parasail adventures. If you time it right, you can sometimes hear the cannon from Fort William Henry.

The Lookout Cafe has always been a place my family has enjoyed getting lunch in Lake George. Situated behind the Fort William Henry, the restaurant has a fantastic view of Lake George and the steamboats across the street. All seating is outdoors under a waterproof canopy. Summers past, the food had always been good, and the menu had some variety. Fried seafood, burgers, sandwiches. It was a little disappointing to see this year there are only a handful of items on the menu, and prices seemed to have increased dramatically. I can only assume covid to be the culprit, and I totally understand, so I hope I’m not coming off rude here. I just think it’s a notable difference compared to previous summers. The food was still good and the view is still the same, of course.

B
Brad

Pros: The view. Relatively quick service. Food tasted good. Room for improvement: line cooks need to learn how to check the doneness of a burger. No tea or coffee products even though they are in the menu? Not everyone likes Pepsi products guys.

M
Michelle Rutkunas

Beautiful views and the most friendly staff! Our waitress was super friendly! The chicken quesadilla was amazing! The burger was just ok though. And even though the tables were clean the floor not so much... it's a bar so not expecting top notch. Thankfully they do have kids menu!

Great food, great view but bad service. Waitress was angry I've asked for my change. Was she really expecting me to give her 25% tips with that kind of attitude ?

Great view of LG while dining in this roof top patio. They have a good selection and fair prices. The view though is the biggest draw for this eatery.

R
Reginald Blackwell

Food was good and service was ok. Went during the heat wave so it was very hot. All seating is outdoors but the view is amazing.

A
Andrew Vitek

Good food for a simple no stress meal with a great view of Lake George. Dog and kid friendly. Very good for the price.

R
Reed Leonard

Great service, decent draft beer selection, nice view of the lake, middling food selection and quality.

K
Kevin

The service was good, friendly, and nice. The view is excellent. One really can't ask for much more in that regard. The food itself was good, I had the fish and chips, and I liked that the batter had some herbs and spices in it. The reason I'm taking a star away is because the iced tea was just awful. It's obviously from concentrate, either a soda gun or fountain, which is pretty common, but this one is not set right

S
Scott Monahan

This is the best view to see all of Lake George. They have a good view, good service, and good food. Sometimes it can be busy and it is a little expensive but you are paying for the view too. If you get to go it is worth it! Fireworks every Thursday too!

B
Bob Black

We stopped in here for lunch Wedneday 27 September. The parking attendants over at the Lake George Stemship Company warned us that we would be paying for the view of Lake George. To be quite honest, there wasn't much of a premium. We enjoyed the Fish and Chips and the portions were so large that we couldn't finish the fries [chips.] The service was excellent. This is an open air venue one story above street level. They are able to close it in with transparent roll up shades and heat it with propane towers, noeither of which were needed on the date we visited.

M
Matthew Pierz

I usually don't start my reviews with a negative perspective, but my experience at the The Lookout Cafe on 7/12/23 was dampened by our hostess Greta. She appeared to be unhappy in greeting customers as well as not saying thank you for coming to customers when they left. Aside from that, the rest of the service was great, as our server Liam was helpful and friendly towards us and answered any questions we had pertaining to the food. I came for lunch and I ordered the Still Bay fish and chips, which was a fried, beer-battered haddock, which was tender and moist. The "chips" were fries, and they were flavorful. I also had ginger ale to drink with the meal.

Went here the first weekend of October. Went around 4p on a Sunday so it was not so busy. Had a wonderful view overlooking the south side of Lake George as the sun settled for the evening. Basic food items, but very tasty. Fast service, friendly and kind staff. I had the buffalo chicken wrap with a side Caesar salad and it was perfect. My mother ordered the 1755 burger and it was cooked to perfection. The onion rings were probably the best onion rings I’ve ever had!! The burger comes with burger sauce that my mother asked for on the side and became a great dipping sauce for the rings. The po boy sandwich is served circular like a burger, on bun. My partner didn’t realize that until it came to the table despite what the menu said (and it clearly said that). Despite his frustration with himself, he turned out to love it!! You got a bite of shrimp in every bite unlike traditional po boy sandwiches. Not featured in the photos was chips salsa and guacamole as an appetizer. The guac was fresh and seasoned quite well. Would come back here as prices were reasonable and the food was good.

Initially we were going to skip this spot because there are other, higher rated restaurants in the area-I'm glad we didn't. We were seated right away (it wasn't busy) and with a great view of the lake. Within 5 minutes of being seated, we were welcomed and shortly after, had our drinks and our dinner ordered. The food arrived quickly, and every one of the five different meals we ordered was cooked perfectly and seasoned well. This a great spot for a simple bite and a good view. The staff was friendly and the meal was fairly priced for the quality and service. I definitely recommend Lookout if you're looking for an uncomplicated plate of good food.

It was outdoor dining only and we were there on a 90° day. So the heat took away from the experience, but the service was still very good along with the food. Great views of Lake George!

Stopped for dinner before taking cruise. Food was decent bar quality except burgers. They were excellent quality and size. Drinks were priced appropriately for it being a tourist spot. Cans, bottles and larger bar menu. Was able to seat 10 and were charged 20% fee for having 6 or more. It was hot out and little to no air flow made it almost unbearable. Server was only on her second day but did great. Beautiful views of the lake and good proximity to boat charters and beach. Worth the stop.

Waitress was great, attentive, but not overly so. The burger was the best I have had in a long time - which is what they claim 'best burger in town.' I wish the onion rings had been hot. The view was wonderful - looking out over the lake. Super sunny day, not rushed. I sat and drank a glass of wine, enjoying the last day of summer. Will be back.

Nice place to grab a bite, service was amazing, prices are in the average range, kids' portions are big. It was a very nice view of the lake and the kids were amazed by the boats.

Lookout Cafe is situated at 28 Beach Road, above some gift shops and next to Fort William Henry, overlooking Lake George and the Steamboat company's departure area. The scenery is idyllic and beautiful. The restaurant serves various fast food choices, including burgers, lobster rolls etc. I tried their cold mayo lobster roll, it was fresh and delicious. There are only two small and dirty restrooms available for a restaurant with a capacity of over 100 patrons. Overall, it is a great location with decent food. The place could use more TLC.

Lookout Cafe is one of our go to spots for a quick meal when in Lake George. We ate here twice during our recent stay in Lake George. Food was good as always, with the notable exception of the macaroni and cheese (off the kids menu). Don't get the macaroni and cheese, really. Everything else was very good. The views of the lake are beautiful, and the service was good.

M
Melissa Finley

What happened? Every year we come to the Lookout Cafe. The view is fabulous and the staff are great but the menu has changed! Fewer choices. The Buck Mountain Nachos were good. The Salmon Sandwich lacked flavor.

S
Serena Brown

The Lookout was a nice place to gather, we didn't eat there as they were extremely busy which was understandable during Americade. We grabbed a drink & met some great people. The wait was quite long just for a drink. The food that was coming out looked good. 👍👍

K
Kelly Selander

Spacious outdoor dining with views of the lake. Food is generic and rather bland but our waitress was nice, food came quick, and the beers were very reasonably priced. Nice place to sit and watch the steamboats coming and going if you're ok with a simple burger, wrap, or salad. I'd recommend they spice the food up and add a few more choices to the menu.

H
Heather Horn

The view was beautiful and i really enjoyed the breeze! The food was okay. The menu is small and my first choice order was "still frozen" so I tried the nachos with a side of fries. The taste was a little off on the dip with the fries. The nachos with huge and the pulled pork was good on them, but they just weren't easy to eat as a main dish. Worth it for the view but expensive for food that really wasn't that great.

M
Mike Potestio

The staff was very friendly here. The food is ok. Nothing to write home about but if you are walking around in the village and need a quick bite it's a decent place to stop. The best thing about this place is definitely the view of the lake.

F
Frank A

Ok place was here few weeks back gets packed bath rooms are nasty food is ok won’t come back others spots around town are a lot better

B

The bartender was super cool, and we enjoyed our drinks. But this place needs a face lift. The bathroom was pretty bad. I saw a better gas station bathroom. The floors in the whole place were odd and looked dirty. The tables and decor were just, eh?. Other than looking at the lake, the place had nothing going for it.

V
Valencia Strohman

Good customer service. Fish and chips were tasty. Great views of Lake George.

J
Justin Campney

As good as the shrimp po-boy looks, it lacked flavor except for the sauce. Shrimp was rubbery and prices were a bit much for what you received. Service was fast and efficient and the view was what saved the meal!

We decided to try Rooftop since we were looking for a place for small bites. When we arrived at the restaurant, there were lots of people in line. We had a party of 12 in front of us, but they were excused by the receptionist due shortage of staff. The restaurant has a beautiful front view of the lake, but it can still use some lights and brightness when the weather is dark and gloomy outside. The food is prepared in very basic way in this restaurant and desperately needs some uplifting. The chowder wasn't creamy, felt watery, the crispy layer of the fish, in fish n chips, had no taste or flavor. The fries that came with this dish, were blent and tasteless. The hot dog was a basic bread and a hot dog paddy, though it was the best thing I tasted there. The mac and cheese could certainly use some more cheese. The fries with hot and mac & cheese were totally disappointed and tasted much better. The service was extremely friendly, prices are decent but the restaurant totally lacks in it's primary objective of serving good food. Food taste - 3/5 Food prep time - 5/5 Service - 5/5 Price - $$& Chowder soup - 2/5 Fish and chips - 1/5 Hot dog - 4/5 Mac and cheese - 3/5

2 stars for the great view!! Drinks are horrible. We sent back 2 drink. “Bartender” came to table to ask why, we told her but she didn’t offer to remake it or apologize, so not sure why she confronted us. Food is greasy and mediocre. Save your money and walk/drive further down to Canada street for better options.

J
Jean-Vincent DaSilva

Service is fine, but the food is mediocre at best. I ordered a pulled pork sandwich and the pork tasted completely unseasoned and had no sauce on it at all. Just some so-so cole slaw. Sweet potato fries were soggy. When you only have 2 entrees and a couple of sandwiches on your menu, there is no excuse for such low quality considering the price.

J
Jennifer Perla

Disappointed with the food. Ordered nachos, expected the plate to be hot with melted cheese. Instead got it served to us in a take out container and cold. Waiter forgot my drink order and didn't write any order down. Main course was fish and chips, mediocre at best. They could do better.

L
Lucia P

The place is dark dingy and filfthy. The fries are greasy with some weird seasoned coating on them and you can taste the bad oil they were fried in. The burger that they brag about was well below average. I would never go back there again. I can only imagine what the kitchen must look like. They are def in need for a visit from Robert Irvine from Restaurant Impossible or the health department.

T
Tracey

Disappointed. This place has a great view but the food was disappointing. My sons sandwich had old lettuce on it. The nachos were a good size for the price but everything on them seemed like it had been sitting. If you want to sit back and have a cocktail and enjoy the view the I would go, but looking for a bite to eat then continue walking down Lake George.

A
Ariel Lopéz

With our meal, we ordered onion rings. We got 8 rings for $8.00, and they were overcooked. But our server, Jacob was excellent and should be commended for a job well done. He said we had the best seats for the fireworks, he was spot on!

5 star view, and a great spot for a drink. Unfortunately, like many restaurants in the area, the food is average at best.

A
Alexander Chapman

I had a meal here today at around 430pm. Upon arriving things seemed good, nice view, staff seemed in good spirits and kind. However, we ordered drinks which were served in disposable plastic cups, our food arrived on disposable dishes and we were given disposable silverware. They apparently didn't have the meat for their signature 1755 Burger and didn't mention this before seating and serving us drinks. Overall, the food was good, but the lack of a signature item and serving everything in what you might buy for a cookout with the family just don't make much for a restaurant. I would not recommend eating here unless you're looking for a quick bite and not worried about a good dining experience.

A
Aleksandr Chelnokov

Veggie burger was very boring. I really like their clam chowder but it wasn't the best I've ever had at least the portions were decent sized. They're fries were actually really good I recommend them for sure and a proper pickle. The place really needs a facelift. But they definitely try to do their best with what they got. Low staff and overrun by people. The service was actually very good, and the view is one of the best in the village.

B
Brent Murphy

This place has an amazing view of Lake George. Sadly my medium burger was well done and our waiter really didn't care to help us in any manner. Having to ask 3 different times for water only after waiting 15 mins for a server to help us after being seated. There were only 20 people max in the restaurant. They should really rethink some if the training of employees because location wise they have a hit on their hand.

L
Lisa Russo

Was there a week ago & ordered quesadillas. Had 2 left over & asked to have them wrapped. Waited & waited but never got them so we asked our waiter. he then asked the oriental girl that cleared the table & was told that “because she doesn’t understand English, she didn’t know what I said “ REALLY?? So half my meal was wasted in the garbage because the worker doesn’t speak the language!?? So disappointed at the whole situation & lack of accountability. No offer of refund or to make it right at all! Will think twice before returning there!

T
Thomas Hill IV

Well managed and all the employees new their job. Good view as well. Other than that, nothing to email home about. Weak drinks and salty food. You can tell the place is old.

K
KPJ SportsMaster

To start off the service was terrible, so many people working and no one doing anything but standing at the host stand and talking took a long time to get a seat even though restaurant was not even a 1/4 full, the hosts were impolite, slow, and ignored you to talk to their friends. The food wasn’t bad but the margarita was not good, tasted like sour mix. Our server was the only one actually doing anything running from table to table, everyone else just stood there. Overall not great, the only thing they have going for them is the view. 7/26/24

K
Kelly Fowler

Unimpressed. We stopped in for a late lunch and the fish was nearly and fries were cold. The wait staff left drinks unfilled and when we asked for a separate plate they couldn't find one.

Philip Kincade
Philip Kincade

Nice view of the lake. Good service. Tasty French fries. The lettuce on my salad was past its prime, soggy and wilted, as if it had made hours before and waiting on a chiller. The pulled pork was, sacrilegiously dry, again, as if it had been sitting around on a warming tray. It’s a busy place and we didn’t eat lunch until 2pm. Maybe that explains it.

M
M. Lea Sheridan

We were seated and waited 20 minutes but no server ever came over, so we walked out.

A
A Hobson-Marcello

Only gave 1 star because of the view, we never made it past the interaction with the hostess. We stopped here to grab a bite to eat and the view of Lake George. We placed our name on the waiting list and was told the wait would be 25-30 minutes which was fine. We were not in a hurry and just enjoying the view. 30 minutes had gone by and people that came in 15 minutes after us were taken and seated before us. I went to see why we were still waiting and people that came in after us were being seated...the hostess explained that she has tables that are set up for x amount of people and seats them as the size of the table...I can understand that method but her logic or point of view baffled me since we were a party of 3 and she just sat the party of 4 that came in 15 minutes after us.. 😳 Prior to this we watched a party of 2 be placed at a table that could hold a party of 5 maybe 6 followed by a family of 4 that included 2 small children seated at a very small (2 adults maybe) high top right next to the other 2 at a larger table. At this point we took our name off the list and left.. just ridiculous.

We (party of 5) were seated on the deck overlooking the lake, however we sat and waited for 30 minutes without ever having a server come by the table. All the wait staff was standing at the hostess booth talking. We left after waiting 30 minutes of waiting, we’re never spoken to except from the hostess who seated us.

First and foremost I must say, my family and I travel to Lake George many times throughout the year. Today we decided to eat at this restaurant which we thought was good “once upon a time ago”. We were treated with such disgrace of service at this restaurant that we once thought we loved and spoke so highly about, after today's visit it has definitely changed our thoughts. Upon arrival - my family of 7 was greeted great with respect and courteous service - whoever was the woman who greeted us initially was amazing.. When ordering food, we had a waitress by the name of Emily who did not treat us with any respect, and rushed us throughout ordering. My daughter was ordering her “create your own burger” she literally didn’t let her complete her order and went on to ask me if I knew what I wanted because she doesn’t have “time” and she has other things to do…we are paying customers as everyone else, so I then indicated - well if you don’t have time to take our orders accordingly, then here’s your menu, and we will not be eating here at all. She was extremely rude, if the restaurant manager had to tell her to go regroup herself, Emily should not be working in such a fast pace environment if she can’t keep up with the flow of the business. Very disrespectful and not a people person what so ever. My family and I decided to leave and we headed to “Gyro Hut” and must I say - they were absolutely AMAZING, definitely 5 Star rating.

I've always enjoyed eating here, but the new limited menu is not up to anyone's lake george expectations. Prices are too high for what you get. We had a hard time finding something on the menu...

Hate to write this because the view is amazing. Owners should insist on having staff that want to be there and take care of if their guests. Times are hard enough and I get it. I manage a restaurant and if the staff on today were my staff I would be greatly disappointed. Not friendly. Abrupt with customers. The menu says Bolton Landing Pilsner which we ordered. Unbeknownst to us they did not have that and just took it upon themselves to give my husband the Bolton Landing IPA which he did not like. When I asked them about it they were rude and dismissive. Never tried to accommodate us. The server was more friendly than the bartender but didn’t try to resolve our issue. They didn’t charge us for the beer but never voiced that. Communication is so important in our industry and I get that everyone is burnt out. I was disappointed because I was so thrilled to look out over the lake and enjoy a bite and a cocktail and was made to feel uncomfortable.

Was just there. They had a sign out that said open but when we went up they told us they weren’t open for another 20 minutes. Their website also said they are open at 11. I wouldn’t go there service sucks. I had to leave with a screaming three old because all she wanted was something to eat.

Uninspiring! Food was mixed, some good and some terrible. More in that later. Most importantly, the hostess service to server exchange was terrible. Once one of the three hostesses sat us, we waited 25 minutes with menus and no server. Hostesses were just chatting and not busy at all or paying attention. I Didn’t complain because I wanted to see how long we would end up waiting. Finally a server recognized we had been sitting there a while and came and just said what can I get you. No apology for wait or acknowledgement at all. The server was very good and friendly but the long wait in the beginning was terrible. View is really good though and the burgers and buffalo chicken wrap were great. Don’t recommend the chicken quesadilla even you expect it to have chicken! Good if you like eating fried onions, peppers and an occasional small chunk of chicken.

Calamari was obviously frozen and possibly freezer burnt. Inedible. Nachos had cheese sauce, but no melted cheese. Kids were happy with their Kraft Mac and cheese tho smh.

They advertise as the best burgers. They are not even close. Both my husband & I ordered cheeseburgers cooked medium. They were well done, tasteless, not one bit juicy. My son ordered the chicken tenders. They were so flat. It looked like they ran over them in the parking lot. They were probably frozen as well as the burgers. One positive was that the waitress was nice & food came out fast. But when the food sucks, speed doesn’t impress me. Lake George in general has low standards when it comes to food so this meal really doesn’t surprise me.

For a restaurant that boasts the “best burger” I was shocked when two burgers ordered medium came out crisper than a hockey puck and inedible. I might try coming here just for drinks and the view but the food is sub par.

Thank god for the service and the view. The rest is an insult to the grand Fort William Hotel. Employees are fabulous. The main meal arrived before we were done our appetizers so do not order your main before you are done your appetizer. (Chowder in a cardboard bowl) Your meals are served with plastic utensils and plates which make it difficult to eat, even worse than a cafeteria. I had a Cobb salad which was good except so many big pieces of lettuce made it difficult to eat especially with the dollar store knife and fork! My husband had the worse meal of fish and chips. The batter was tasteless and so was the Haddock. Is that possible you say? I guarantee the fish tasted nothing at all. Even the fries had this awful coating on them! If you are a fish and chips lover please do not order here. What a terrible experience and worst of all we paid for this unpleasantness!

Took my family out for dinner who came to visit from Florida told them how Great Lake George and the atmosphere was ,, it did not feel so good when we sat down to eat at lookout bar and grill our waiter/ hostess Robyn was so unpleasant through the whole time we sat there to eat until we finished . Not one smile or calming demeanor from her meanwhile the other girls were so friendly and nice . Even when we walked out of the restaurant we passed right by her standing with the other girls ,, the other girls smiled and said goodbye she looked down and never said a word … may be e my skin color offended her but it’s so sad to brag about lake George the restaurants that we have been coming to for over 15 years and be embarked after even bringing visitors their .

Food was average. Got ignored by our server who was standing talking in the corner the whole time. Had to have another staff member get her attention, twice! We also had a bug in our drink and her response was that “ we’re outside, it’s just an ant, it happens”. Do not recommend at all.
