We love coming here. Especially after they added additional seating beyond their back patio. A bit small in the inside, but if you're comfortable with hanging out outside, it's perfect!

Lauren Henson is awesome she helped me when I was waiting 8n line at the bar from being skipped the guy at the bar totally ignored me and helped the guy in front of me and the friends of the Guy in front me me that were in the back of me she helped get my drinks and food and I got it asap so amazing how her professional customer service is she is awesome and I really appreciate how she took care of me and my friends.

Really excited to have a place like this in Leander. Great stuff on tap and tons of bottles from all over the world, allowing us to try beers we've loved (that they don't sell at HEB!) and check out new ones too.

Sarah Mihelich

Great beer and great food in Leander! They also have a full bar, for those who dont drink beer. There is a huge patio outside. It can get crowded on the weekend, but it is worth it.

Great selection. The bartender is friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful. I prefer a different ambience, but the overall experience more than made up for it. Highly recommended!!!

I love this place. The food is very good for a small bar. This is a family friendly atmosphere. The staff and customers also become family. You won't be disappointed.

Great drinks and equally as good food! I suggest the Philly hero or the wings Very family oriented bar everyone knows and looks out for each other you can't get better than this, and believe me I've been to alot of different bars...this is the spot! The owner frequents here and is very friendly

The greek salad was delicious, and they have a nice riesling wine. Lots of excellent beer choices but I prefer wine over beer, and they had choices for me as well. The atmosphere is casual and comfortable. We enjoyed sitting outside on the patio. Definitely would recommend this place.

Great little place. Good beer selection and the appetizers we had were delicious. Comedian was hilarious, but I'm sure the parent who brought littles to the bar were having a fun time explaining what some of the words were.

They have indoor and outdoor seating, football games on the tvs, great food (we had the artichoke dip, which was better than any other I've had) and good drinks. A great place to just hang out.

took my mom out to try this hidden gem! she outright said this market was a place she felt comfortable enough to come in alone and feel safe!! the jalapeno pesto fries were amazing! as was the chicken ceaser salad.

Great place to watch football and try interesting beers. Food is great and the bread divine. Mary and the staff are very friendly. Google didn't do a good job directing me so pay careful attention to the map.

Very reasonably priced beer, real good food at real good prices. Pleasant atmosphere with friendly people. Small Town Hall in the wall that makes you feel good. The place to be when you don't want to be in Austin.

Leander Beer Market is a bar with some decent food. They have a nice patio and even some trivia during the week. Beer selection on tap is pretty decent and even have mixed drinks.

When I moved to Leander in 4/18, this was the first visit I made once settling in. Since then, I now pay the light and cable bill lol. Despite my occasional shenanigans, they still treat me as a member of the crew/family! Having a neighborhood bar with so many great people rarely gives me the want to leave Leander at all 😁

J

Great local bar with large outdoor seating area and many local brewer beers on tap at any given time. Also the menu is solid - Fried Ravioli is great.

Loved our time here! Drinks were reasonably priced, pizza was fabulous, and the crew behind the bar were courteous and made great cocktails! Great place to forget about CV19!!

This is the kind of place that Leander needs more of! The beer selection is diverse and high quality. The food is bar food, no doubt, but it's extremely well made; I was shocked at how good, and the prices are reasonable as well! The patio is open and large. Indoor seating is limited, but the bar area has a great dive-y vibe. We love everything about this place, and we love that it's ten minutes from our house!

S

Great little spot, they've implemented some new methods of SYS with a beer tap wall. FULL of assorted flavors and delicious options, but let's not forget the food. With a good beer you need good food, and this is where you'll find it. The owner and his wife were very polite and welcoming to us, even offered samples. Needless to say we had a grand time, we will be back.

Good prices. Friendly staff. Good food with an Italian twist. Only wish they had queso to pair with the French fries. Usually a go-to spot for Saturday Shenanigans or a Sunday Funday

Great little pub for Leander. They have a good selection of rotating traps as well as a constant supply of bottled beer. They also fill growlers! I've been here in big groups as well as just two people and service is always fast. The people who work here are always super nice. It's a lot of fun inside and they have outdoor seating as well on a patio and picnic tables. They have really good food to order as well that is prepared on site in their kitchen.

Great place!! The best beer selection! The bartenders rock and know their beers! Owners are awesome. Have live music, pool table, mist sprays cause it's hot out! And car alarms to set off when riding your Harley-Davidson! Also, the food is great!

Really have enjoyed the variety of beers offered. The pizza and calamari are amazing!! The homemade marinara is off the charts good. We are looking forward to trying more dishes and beer varieties.

This place is fantastic. It has indoor and outdoor seating and the beer is amazing. So nice to have this so close to home. They also do a lot of community work and donations. They are always there to support a cause. The owners are usually on site and and are friendly and welcoming. The staff has always been great. Best place around!

P

Their drinks are reasonably priced. Their wings are some of the best I've ever had. The ambience is a mix of a beer garden meets small town bar. Definitely worth habitual visits.

Relaxed atmosphere and cool hangout. Patio was amazing as the sunset. The wings are the bomb! Beer selection on tap, by the can or bottle was extensive. Full bar with great drinks. Bar tenders were fantastic! We will be back.

This is the cozy little neighborhood pub I've been longing for. One of the best national beer selections outside of Austin. Good bar food, not just microwaved junk. I've been to pubs like this in Germany, England, and Ireland -- that's what it reminds me off; yet it's not trying to pretend to be one of those, it is its own. Small, intimate. Pool table on the outside patio...

I love this place! : Personable, great service. Broad selection of beer with new types to try weekly. Delicious food that is not typical for a bar to have. Pizza, fried ravioli, etc. We are regulars for sure. 😍

Great, friendly, compforatable place for a mood boost! Weekly rotating local craft beer on tap, as well as bottles. Great place to watch sports play pool etc. The bartender who is usually there is awesome and she remembered my name after only a few times :) The owner is always there making sure everyone is happy.

A really cozy place in the upgraded downtown Leander. Full bar, plenty of beer selections and typical bar food/appetizers. I enjoy this place because it is homey. Staff are friendly and accommodating and they have a huge covered outdoor area that is awesome. Very relaxing and enjoyable.

Great little pub in the heart of Leander. Diverse selection of rotating taps, usually featuring a local brewery prominently. Friendly staff. Prices are very reasonable for what you get. The pizza is out of this world.

We’ve gone to Leander Beer Markey a few times for New Years Eve. We moved out of Leander so we haven’t been back. Hubby and family had a great time. They gave use us crowns and tiaras, which I was very excited about. Doesn’t matter how old I am, a tierra is always the coolest thing. They have table service, but we all decided to go to the bar so everyone could pay for themselves. Hubby got a strong IPA, which he liked, but down recall the name. Us gals don’t drink so it was dad and hubby drinking and they both were happy. We ordered food but just can’t remember what we ate, except for a pizza. My recollection is liking the food. We went at like 6pm and stayed for a couple of hours. We celebrated at home, but I doubt I lasted until midnight.

I like this place. It's kind of eclectic. Has a nice outside seating area, some undercover some not. The inside is fairly small, but I enjoyed the atmosphere. I sat at the bar and had a draft beer with some wings and met the people sitting around me, and just had a pleasant evening conversing with people that I had never met before. You order from the bar, they have a few tables and then just some chairs and couches to sit around and visit. They have several TVs up on top of the bar with various channels. I enjoyed it. I will go back.

I always enjoy this place. Eat and drink at the picnic tables to ensure social distancing, or in their covered patio. Order at the bar but they will bring it out to you. Bartender is awesome. She is super nice and helpful. I like the food and they have a great list of fun cocktails.

Love this place. It's got a great selection of beers and the atmosphere is fantastic. You caneet some friends and watch a game or take the family and enjoy the food. And when I say enjoy I mean it! Do not sleep on the food here. It's spectacular. Meatball sandwich..pizza..you can't go wrong. They knock it out of the park! The staff is helpful and friendly. 10/10 would go again!!

Leander Beer Market has a great selection of craft beers and a relaxed, laid-back vibe. The outdoor seating is a big plus, and the staff usually knows their stuff when it comes to recommendations. The only downsides are that service can be a bit slow during busy times and some menu items feel slightly overpriced. Overall, a solid spot to hang out, grab a drink, and unwind.

You can't beat the chicken wings here. Make them extra crispy! You won't be disappointed. Update: Okey dokey, y'all add the Stromboli to things to eat from LBM. So yummy. Friendly staff and plenty of drink options.

I just moved to the neighborhood from Austin and didn’t know this spot was here. Truly a gem. Nice neighborhood pub atmosphere with plenty of screens and good tap beer/ full bar. My Portland, OR family felt at home. Will most likely be a regular. Food was good enough. It’s not a 5 star restaurant. It’s a bar/pub. A win for a cool place to meet up and watch the game, etc. Staff were friendly

Stopped for the beer, left with the chicken hero. Wow. What a sandwich. Very, very crispy, crunchy bread. For take away fries, very impressed. And the garlicky aioli magic, I can't stop. This is a good spot! I'll be back!

Update as of June 25th, 2023: Always a good spot for a microbrew and pie. The pizza was on the crispy side but tasty. Service is always grand. Original Review: Great pizza. Big micro-brew selection. As a matter of fact, you can't get a major macro-brewed here (a la Bud Light, Miller Lite, etc.). The anything you want pizza all in for $9 is crazy. Fun locals spot.

We really enjoyed sitting at the bar and having a couple beers and a couple apps. The garlic bread with tomatoes was surprisingly perfect. We also tried the baked spinach dip and loved it!! The bar tender was friendly and accommodating. The beer selection was appreciated also. They had a sour that I really enjoyed and an amber that wasn't the same ol Austin Amber. Great experience!

Neighborhood “cheers” bar with great beers, full bar, and delicious food! TVs everywhere for Sports fans. Inside bar is warm and inviting, and there’s an outdoor heated patio too with a billiards table. Ask for John at the bar, he let me sample IPAs before deciding on Hoppy Right Infringement (double IPA with great citrus tones). “John at the bar is a friend of mine” (Piano man). I’m thankful this place is 10 minute walk from my home! New resolution for 2021: try everything on their menu! LOLs

Wonderful casual place to get a great craft beer. I liked the outdoor patio and the indoor of the bar had a good atmosphere as well, with a wall of different bottles from all over to choose from, as well as a really solid selection of draft beers. The food was good, but not great. I'm sure after you've had a few beers, it would be amazing. I had the toasted ravioli, chef salad and pizza. The pizza was really crisp and pretty decent toppings, the salad was the usual just ok stuff (lettuce, mushrooms, olives and ranch), and the toasted ravioli was fried to perfection and crisp, but the beef filling was about half of what was needed and the beef was bland. Cut the size of the dough in half, add some seasoning to the beef and it would have been great. I'm from St. Louis, so I was super excited to see toasted ravioli, these just weren't quite up to par with what I am used to. Also, the second building, with the coffee and gelato is really dimly lit. I came in when it was sunny out and it felt like a cave. Completely different feel from the bar area across the patio. It needs a few more lights to make it feel comfortable.

B
Brian Crone

Love this place! Mary and crew kill it behind the bar, the food is great and the atmosphere is very personable. All of this and an excellent beer selection easily makes this a place where locals become regulars.

Wine was pretty good, had fun time but beer wasn't cold enough, that's the reason it's 4 ☆ but we went there around 7 pm and we stayed there almost time closing which is 12.00 am, we played pool, it was good time.

Pizza was very good. My LBM iced tea was okay. My friend really liked her drink but I can't remember what it was. Pizza took a while to come out. Atmosphere was nice , I just hate that people can smoke in the patio area.

S

Great place, cold drinks, cheaper prices than most. The only gripe I have is the use of exclusively plasticware. I would love the place even more if they used glass if you're seated indoors. High recommend the food, especially the pizza and wings!

S
Shane Rivette

Pizza was good and beer was good. My wife and I took our 1 year old daughter and the staff was very welcoming even though we were a bit apprehensive about taking our toddler. All in all it was far better than we expected. The ONLY reason it’s not 5 stars is that I expected a deeper draft list than what was there. What I will say in their defense is that it’s clear they take a quality over quantity approach. This will absolutely be a place my family and I frequent now that we’ve had such a heat experience there.

We stopped by yesterday around 3:30, they had a handful of customers and it appeared to have 1 bartender/server. The bartender was super friendly and accommodating, definitely a plus. The Bloody Mary was fantastic, I could’ve had several haha! The Mexican martini was pretty good and the honey cider on tap was delish and light. The only negative was the fact that they use plastic cups, some drinks just taste better in a cold frosted glass. We ordered the garlic bread with mozzarella and tomatoes and the fried pickles, both were good. The place looked clean and they have a jukebox that we used and the bartender did turn up the music a little bit as per our request, I’d definitely go back.

AJ

This is such a good neighborhood bar! Pretty cheap drinks and they change often - every time we go in there the draft selection is different which is kind of fun and gets you to try something new! If you’re grabbing food the fried pickles, meatball hero and wings are really good! Large outdoor patio with a misting fan, pool table and its dog friendly!

Invited to the Leander Beer Market. Just off the old 183 with a great patio and music. The food was delicious and the drinks were cold on the hot afternoon. Nice place if you're in the area. Great customer service, and good atmosphere - support to your local Tavern!

Artichoke dip was highlight of this visit. Poor barmaid was run off her feet flying solo. Bit down market with plastic glasses paper plates etc. Didnt offer beer flights which was a dissy. Seems a popular place but not as good as some of its nearby competitors.

1st time visitor. Decent beer but jalapeno poppers were not impressive.

This hurts my heart to write, but Leander Beer Market has given up their beer selection for a booze selection that replaced probably 3 of the 5 big old beer fridges. I loved this place for the great beer, chill (and attentive and friendly and helpful) bartenders, and local crowd that made it totally okay to sit at a bar and have a few beers in the middle of a Saturday. Today, we walked in and were greeted by three yappy, worthless dogs (obviously not legit service dogs) sitting inside the restaurant, a whiny baby, and an apathetic and unhelpful bartender. Had it not been for the nice couple next to us, we'd probably have left a few sips in. What used to feel like a beer-based Cheers in the making now feels like a strip-mall Chili's. Still 3 stars, since that my be exactly what the owners and other clientele are looking for, but I'll stick to Dig or Pour House from now on

S

First visit. Friendly service, ample food selection, pretty good calamari, limited craft beer on tap. (I'm a regular at the Dig Pub in CP). Will try this place again to see how it goes.

L

Food is pretty good. Been here 2 times for carry out. Both times I've asked for no cheese on my sandwich because of an allergy & I get home and it's slathered in cheese. Luckily I have been able to somewhat take the melted cheese off. A little disappointed, especially when it comes to a food allergy and following directions otherwise they'd get 5 stars.

C
Cindy Nordgren

We would have stayed longer, had more drinks, which would have meant more money for your establishment but you only had 2 people waiting on your customers on a FRIDAY Night. I think the lady standing in front of me when I was cashing out said it best....you could have a gold mine if you had more help

M
Mr. Leger BSChE, MChE

Just okay. Staff was friendly and service was quick. I thought the beer selection was severely lacking for a place with "beer market" in the name. Didn't try any food; showed up for the drinks only.

J
Joseph

I give 5 stars for beer selection and beer prices; but I put in a order for food and waited over an hour. I asked the bar tender what is the status of my pizza, they forgot to ever submit the ticket to the kitchen. Next time only coming here to drink only.

Dive bar vibe with greasy food and not so good service. Will skip this one.

T

Reading the last review... It's a bar not a library and people go to them to laugh, drink, catch a game and have fun with friends. All the staff has to do is ask people nicely to either go outside or tone it down. Instead what they do is yell at them from across the bar. As you can read in other reviews the bar staff is most definitely not friendly and this place has been on the decline for some time mostly because of the new bar staff. The talking was never the problem, the problem is a bar staff that acts like they don't want to be there, lack of a good food menu, plastic cups, pours that depend on who you get at the bar, a very clear bias for certain regulars. There are some very bright spots such as Mary who is a clear hard worker and always welcoming. The outdoor area is also large and they have several tvs. Outside of those two things however, Maggie's across the street outshines them in every way particularly the service and their amazing way of greeting their guests and making them feel very welcome.

Updating review: We ordered a second time. The pizza was still good. The artichoke dip was awful — no flavor whatsoever and like soup. The bread to use for dipping was burned. But not as burned as my husband’s Stromboli. Actually perhaps charred would be the correct word. See photo. I’d rather buy from a place that is consistent, not that would sell great food one time and charred food the next. Old review — There’s a little pizza place back home that has amazing pizza. We’ve looked in the Austin area for pizza like it for 20 years. Today we found it. Leander Beer Market is hands down the best pizza in Austin.

Not quite what I was hoping for. - Not a tremendous beer selection, considering 'beer market' is in the name. Only a handful of taps and beer was served in plastic cups. - Don't order food here. Below average bar food. - Smokers all around the patio made it unpleasant to sit outside and inside is very small/cramped.

We there the other day but no one greeted us so we left. There weren't even busy. Whole place for literally empty.

J

We've followed the owner of this restaurant, ever since he owned Luigi's on Crystal Falls years ago. The food and atmosphere were MUCH better back then. We ate here the other night and the food quality had dropped significantly. The fried pickles (spears, not chips, the way they should be) were bad. So was the Lasagna I ate.. simply horrible. The pasta was limp and the entire dish was tasteless. The Greek Salad was the best part of the meal, no doubt. Not sure if he still makes his own sauce, but it was very acidic. Our bill, for the two of us, with one beer, was $71.17 with a tip. We did take some of it home, but I left more than half my Lasagna, because it was truly horrible. You can spend the same amount at Longhorn and get excellent food and a GREAT steak for the same as this, so not sure if we'll ever go there again....

*Experienced Traveler Review Atmosphere: poor, at best. Food: literally BAD. Fine if you want just a bar / drink… although no music on patio, few fans, and uncomfortable seating on picnic tables. Food… well… look at the photos in this Review. This was supposed to be bruschetta and chef salad. Yep. Can’t say I have ever seen garlic bread and chopped cucumber / tomato salad passed as bruschetta… until today. ‘Chef Salad’ drenched in dressing and that’s cheese on top (looks like spaghetti) Yikes. Used to come in every day after work and this place felt like home. Came back the other night and we were treated very suspiciously and disrespectfully, had staff/owner making accusations of us being drunk before we walked in the door. I was honestly so surprised by this. Hopefully they start working like they used to bc I am super disappointed with the way they are now.

B

I was in town for a trail race on Saturday and wanted to do a little carbo loading and the baked shells on the menu seem like a good fit. When they arrived at my table I realized that I had made a mistake in thinking that this was the type of restaurant that has a full-service kitchen that prepares their food. Apparently they just have pre-made dishes that they heat up. Unfortunately mine came out lukewarm to cold and I had to send it back to get reheated. I ate the whole thing but it was not good at all and was very, very, salty. Neat, quaint, little place that has a good set of rotating taps but I would not recommend going there for the food just the ambience and the beer.

B
Bernard Terway

I would not rate this highly at all. The beer selection might be great, but the beers are over-priced. The food was not at all good. I had a stromboli, a large hot-pocket that was not hot at all. There is really no place to sit and eat, except at the bar or outside, and it was too cold to sit outside. The two "coffee tables" were too low to use as an eating table, and where we sat, the table was not even cleared of the crumbs from the previous guests. I would not recommend this place.

C
Christi Shoppach

Been trying to give this place a chance for years, literally 5 years. Went a couple weeks ago and it will officially be the final attempt. Terrible service. EXTREMELY rude wait staff, if you aren't a regular you're treated like garbage. Food never improves. I can't wait until more things start moving in. Sure would be nice to have a FRIENDLY neighborhood bar to frequent!!

Was served regular pizza and told it was gluten free. It was delicious but gave me digestive issues for weeks. When I actually tried their gluten free pizza it was terrible. Dry and burnt. They also should have more than one bartender on a Friday.

I've normally really enjoyed the beer market but today was atrocious. My two girlfriends and I walked in during the Leander Christmas fest, our intention was three shots of cos amigos quick in and out.We walked in and no other patrons were in line. We stood off from the bar stools for quite some time. Several bar tenders seemed to help others without ever acknowledging we were present. Finally 5 minutes later a patron told us there were checkpoints you needed to stand in to be served. Ok.... understandable.. but why didn't the bartenders standing 1ft from us notify us???? Did I mention NO ONE else was in line at the time? So we stood in line behind the 3 people who walked in after us. Then someone directed us to the opposite "order line" we stood there for an additional 5+minutes and NO ONE SERVED US. What was so strange was the bar tenders were ABSOLUTELY aware we walked in before anyone else waiting to be served but intentionally ignored us despite us being unaware there was a rule to where to stand. Like why wouldn't they lean 1ft over and say "oh hey ladies the line is here" ..before 10 people walked in after us. I finally locked eyes with a bartender who I honesty felt was sympathetic to how crazy long we had been there and I said " we've been waiting really long" and she responded soooo unbelievably rude that we could not justifiably stay. We walked right the hell out and went straight to Night Owl where we were treated like royalty. Yall just need to be aware.

Great little local pub with great food and atmosphere! Lots of covered outdoor seating and indoor seating as well. Update: 3/24 This place has definitely gone down hill. Ordered a philly and charged 12 plus 3.5 for fries are ADDON charge wow. Only to receive a bread sandwich. Literally only a single piece on Shredded meat. Plus a little can of cider is 6 dollars! Will never go back!
