The dining room was beautifully decorated and spacious. The tablecloths and napkins were cloth. The tableware, glassware, and cutlery were elegant. The food was excellent, especially the gratinéed scallops (they were divine) and the mango mousse (delicious). The restaurant staff were incredibly friendly and attentive. We really enjoyed it.
It changed owners a few months ago, but it maintains its traditional restaurant essence, with good products and affordable prices. Exceptional service from the dining room and cafeteria staff. Quality food in good quantities. Short but varied menu. Well-spaced tables, air-conditioned, and clean. Tablecloths and cloth napkins. The food was a very fresh and filling salad, and bonito à la Vuzcaina, tasty and well-made. It also has a good menu, but the menu was very good. I left very happy. I'm also including photos from my last meal here.
Today we went to eat at the Atrio restaurant, after a period of change of ownership. Previously run by Román, who was a fixture at the establishment. We had a reservation for 6 people at 2:30 pm. We arrived on time and were seated. They took our order, and we ordered squid, Galician-style octopus, and scallops as appetizers, and for our main courses, one of us had roast shoulder of lamb, one had cachopo (a breaded and fried veal cutlet), one had conger eel with garlic sauce, one had lamb chops, and I had grilled sirloin steak. The appetizers took an hour to arrive, little by little. I have to say that the food was good except for the sirloin steak, which was overcooked, too much so. We ordered a bottle of Ribera del Duero wine, which they brought us: Cepa Gavilán Crianza 22, which we didn't like, so we then ordered another bottle from the same winery. For dessert, they offered us several options, although it's honestly their weakest item. We ordered 5 lemon creams and a Lotus cake. When we They brought the desserts: Lotus cake and lemon cream. After a while, they brought another lemon cream, and then they told us they were out of cream and we had to get something else. The food wasn't bad, but we did find it a bit expensive at €56 per person. The service wasn't bad, but it was lacking, and that sometimes affects your decision to return. Luckily, I eat at many restaurants, and there are plenty to choose from. One constructive criticism: the restaurant is short-staffed, and you should take that into account. I'll probably come back another day, but I hope for better service.
Ok
Super efficient service, great, tasty food
Cheap place and good food
Reservation for 2:30 PM. We arrived on time. We were seated and received good service. Quick. We ordered two bottles of Cava. At 3:40 PM, an hour later, they asked us to leave, offering us a free shot at the bar. Look, if you're going to ask me to leave because they're offering different seatings, that should be mentioned in the reservation. I called well in advance, and those who have to wait seem to have priority. When Román managed this restaurant, it never occurred to him to "ask" me to leave. It's rude to give preference to those who book late, or... who knows what. I used to recommend this place... Not anymore.
Don't be fooled by the reviews; they're good because of the previous owner. The current management leaves much to be desired, at least in terms of organization. We had a table booked for January 1st with some family members for 3:00 PM, and it's now 4:24 PM and we've finally sat down, understandably annoyed and hungry. The food is acceptable, but the wait ruins any good experience. You don't even have this kind of agony waiting for a family meal at a Michelin-starred restaurant.
We had a terrible experience in this restaurant. We were a big group, and without telling us, they decided to book the table twice and were forced to eat in record time. No time for coffee, no time to relax and enjoy a family celebration we had planned for months! Overpriced. Rude service. Avoid this place!
This restaurant is a complete disgrace. Thirteen of us went for lunch, and after an hour and a half, they kicked us out without even having coffee. They had reserved the table twice. The food was overpriced for what it was, and the lamb was dry. If you have another option, I would recommend avoiding this restaurant.
After making a reservation more than 10 days in advance, I arrived at 3 PM and the entire dining room was booked twice. I waited for 45 minutes and the waitress, Eva, told me I'd have to wait at least another 30 minutes. This place is shameful. It's ridiculous to pay for reservations. Since the owners changed, they're completely broke. Ten customers were waiting, and a son and his elderly mother also left. I'm never coming back.
Good evening! I'm writing to express my profound disappointment with this restaurant. Today we had a reservation for five people at 3 pm. We were told we would have to wait... we waited 40 minutes, and when we asked again, a woman named Eva rudely told us that was just how it was and that we should keep waiting. Not only us, but many others who were there for 3 pm were also upset. A son and his elderly mother left, saying he wouldn't wait any longer, and my companions and I left extremely angry. It's a shame; I knew the previous owners, and this never happened. THESE PEOPLE TAKE RESERVATIONS WITHOUT ANY CONTROL. And that can't be! There are good restaurants in León where you can eat and they give good service. This Atrio restaurant doesn't deserve to be on that list today because of selfishness. Its previous owners, who worked with this and other restaurants to provide quality and service, should know this... This is for you, Mariangeles La Soriana... You don't deserve to have your restaurant's name used.
What happened today, December 20th, was shameful. We had a reservation made two weeks in advance and arrived at the establishment on time. We were patient because we understand that these are difficult times. But the waitress's rudeness when we asked when we would be seated after waiting for more than 45 minutes was the worst part. She treated us very badly, even arrogantly, telling us at least another half hour, even though it was already 4 pm. We saw large groups being seated, arriving later. I think they have very poor organization, and I will never set foot in that place again. I had a Telepizza and enjoyed it more than being there. I do not recommend this establishment because of the service, as I cannot judge the food. This review is not meant to be critical, but rather constructive criticism, and I hope it is helpful. In the end, greed is the root of all evil. I understand that seating 13 isn't the same as seating 5. But they're different ways of looking at it.
I'm giving it one star because I can't give it less. We made a reservation for December 20, 2025, at 3:00 PM almost two weeks in advance. When we arrived at the restaurant on time for our reservation, a staff member named Eva rudely told us to go to the bar to kill time because they were "running late." We waited and asked around until 4:00 PM, when we decided to leave because: - she told us we would "possibly" have to wait another 30 minutes at least to be served. - Eva, as the person in charge at that moment, didn't even bother to apologize for what had happened and treated us very badly FOR THE SECOND TIME. That same day, besides us, many other people who had reservations for lunch at 3:00 PM had the same experience and ended up leaving without eating. I WOULD NEVER RECOMMEND THIS PLACE.
We booked the menu shown in the photo for a group of 11 people. Even though we had the menu booked for that menu, half of us couldn't get the sole (it was sold out). They told us they were replacing it with grilled sea bass, which obviously shouldn't be the same price, and then they told us it wasn't sole, it was pangasius. Excuse me?? Don't mislead your customers.
The food is very basic. We ordered the €18 set menu, with three starters and three main courses, and one of them was simply asparagus with mayonnaise. The desserts are tasteless, and the service is incredibly slow. Furthermore, there's a difference in seating arrangements: those who order from the menu receive cloth tablecloths and napkins, while everyone else gets paper ones. The quality has declined significantly since the owners changed. I won't be back.
