Friendly atmosphere. Quick service. Fresh food. Spring rolls were so good and obviously the Pho was too.
Absolutely amazing pho!! And the staff is super nice and helpful. Can’t wait to come back!
Great food!! Stopped going there 3-years ago, because I moved. I stopped by, and they remembered me and what I always ordered!! They remember all the customers by name and by order. Great family-owned restaurant with the best phô. My roommate was also impressed by the phô (and she's usually critical of almost everything). 🙂
I've been here many times. My favorite pho in Long Beach. I love fat brisket
👁🔑👁 THE FIRST TIME I TRY PHO WAS H.E.R.....E. AT THIS PLACE ABOUT 8 YEARS AGO. SINCE THEN I HAVE BEEN COMING TO THIS PLACE. I ALWAYS HAVE THE NUMBER 9 IN THE MENU WITH MY MUNSTER ENERGY DRINK.. I DO RECOMMEND THIS PLACE TO EAT A VERY GOOD PHO VIETNAMESE SOUP. ⏳️🌊🌠🌠🌠🌠8🌠🌠🌠🌠🌊⌛️
My go-to pho place. It's small. Just pho & non-alcoholic beverages on the menu. The tables are close together. Very popular. Often crowded. Sometimes a wait on rainy days, but never more than a few minutes. Nice people, good pho, good service. Quick in & out. And the price is right.
Best pho in town. I highly recommend this place. Always clean and friendly. Small menu but everything is so delicious. Family recipe. Family operated and run. Parking is ok. Place only takes cash
Hands down the best Pho place around. Family owned and run. You won’t be disappointed.
Anyone who knows Viêt food eat here, even loads who don’t now they have some of their own Khmêr soups too, this soup will fill you up, hydrate you, clean out your sinuses, add fibre to your diet, and boost you like few other tonics ever could!
I was hungover when I walked in, I wasn't hungover when I walked out. Enough said.
Place to go pho your pho cravings! Quick eats, cheap prices :D Different sizes to pho your pho needs (S, M, L, XL) Order variety of toppings to fit you. They've also got fruit smoothies and slushies.
The second you walk in you are met with the smell of hot delicious broth. It fills the room and as you wait for your bowl of Phó it's as if you sit in a bowl yourself. Whether eating by yourself or in a group you are invited by the staff and though they are of few words they take every opportunity to make sure your experience is without negativity. If you enjoy Phó, make time for Phó Hong Phat.
Very small chill place good service good broth. I paid two dollars extra for extra veggies. The server was very nice.
Anyone who gives this place below 4 stars has no idea what pho really is. Everyone is a critic it seems like these days. The food is great, the service is even better. The Extremely friendly owner had me try the salted plum in soda water and my gawd it was yummy. Excuses the people that say its not pho because Cambodians/khmer own it. Race has nothing to do with taste and this place taste good!
Best Pho in Long Beach but be prepared to smell the restaurant in your clothes the entire day lol. It's a small space so they can't help it. Try the Rare Steak Pho with the twin bread 😊
Pho Hong Phat is a Long Beach Pho staple. Their menu is small and concise and everything they do is done very very well. Their service is fast and efficient and their staff is always focused and attentive.
They have updated the place beautifully and nobody is getting to enjoy it :(. Went in today and got a #1 and #16. There is no dine-in due to Covid but the Pho is just as good eaten at home! They seem to be struggling a bit, don't miss out. Go and have some tasty soup and support a small business. Best Pho in LB.
Hands down thee best pho in Long Beach and possibly the area. Thier home made satay sauce bursts with flavor and takes the pho broth to the next level. Super fast service and they open at 8:00 for those that like pho for breakfast
BEST PHO SPOT EVER!!! Customer services was amazing, the food was fantastic and overall I’m coming back again.
Best local pho spot. Parking is tough but worth it. The food is fresh every time you come. The customer service and atmosphere is very welcoming.
Real Pho. Service is fast. You literally can smell the aromatics walking up to the door. They remodeled the place so it’s bigger and very clean. Must try!!! Best Pho in Long Beach.
The Phỏ is Bolsa quality. The cà phê sữa đá is exactly how I like it (strong, not too sweet). We knew it was authentic when they brought us a small pair of scissors to cut the meat and noodles for my young daughter. My Viet peoples know what I'm talking about.
Every time I come which is at least once a week the Pho 🍜 is always fresh & the environment has a good energy & people. My favorite smoothie is Taro so delicious, it taste so buttery if your in Long Beach off Anaheim & Redondo (Coronado) you must stop & visit the prices are good & they are quick.
Fast customer service and delicious!! They pride themselves on the authenticity of their cuisine and it is 100% worth it! Super busy on cloudy days but they'll get you in and out. So long as people don't take their sweet time.
Amazing phó of course, and always say yes to the “donuts”. Also try the Hainan chicken. Someone who loves me a great deal made the accompanying broth.
Best pho in long beach! Broth is amazing! Food is quality! Also fast and friendly service! Only a few negatives they close 5pm everyday except on Wednesdays which is when they're closed and it's cash only.
The pho was delicious. The broth was very simple but herbal... excellent! The star of the show in my opinion was the pork and egg bao I picked up near the counter. They have a great selection of desserts, sticky rice in banana leaf, spiced mango, spring rolls, steamed peanuts, taro custard, bean dessert, sesame bread, chinese donut, etc. I tried the pork/egg bao and sesame bread and they both were SO good.
The Pho here is EXCEPTIONAL!! So flavorful and piping hot! All the fixings are fresh and plentiful. They also offer what they call a Chinese Donut to dip while eating your Pho, which I recommend. I love this place, I eat here every time I'm in The LBC. I Initially found this restaurant because it had a rave review in the OC weekly. If you are ever in Long Beach you must try!
DELICIOUS PHO! This place is very low key, very humble but their pho sure is a treasure. This is the only place I go to and I live in Huntington Beach! Tastes so amazing. It's very fairly priced too! Current prices are $6.25 - $8.25 per bowl depending on what size you get. It tastes so authentic, you definitely need to try it. Service is fast too just get used to their serious faces lol. All around 5 stars.
So frickin excited that this place opened back up! Its been too long! Talk about a revamp! Its so cute and cozy , a lot roomier and now has central ac!! Kudos!!! Although I've moved almost 25 min. away, ill still be back as a regular on my off days. This place is hands down the best in town for pho. And now they have added a few extra sides to the menu and even accept cards and contact less payment as well, finally! Cant wait to fill up on some pho later this week again! Thanks so much for coming back I'm sure everyone has missed this Hidden gem ❤
I love the Pho here. It's a small but homy place filled with people who love noodle soup. A little update to let you know that the remodel has made the interior stylish and modern but it did not cause any changes to the food which is really the best I have eaten.
It's been a while and WOW what a change! Same great food but big remodel that is bright and open and expanded 4-size pho-only menu (no com). Egg rolls were hot and crispy and the Chinese Doughnuts great for dipping. Traditional drinks and now added many conventional options. Biggest change is they are SUPER courteous and attentive, I just might miss the rudeness I had been accustomed to LOL. If your looking for Pho give them a try
Good stuff, amazing broth with a simple, hearty flavor that you can adjust to your liking. It doesn't come out oversaturated like other pho spots. I really appreciate the small sized serving, as I can't fit any more than that in me. Check this place out!
Best Pho in Long Beach. The broth is always good and they're pretty consistent. If you haven't already, you must try it with the chili sate (chili oil). They now accept card payments and have things other than Pho on their menu.
Great Phó. It's all about the broth. It has a great flavor that makes the pho amazing. Chinese bread and spring rolls and you are all set. Try the chilli paste, spicy and delicious.
I love pho, but this is my absolute favorite spot in Long Beach; I eat here once or twice a week on average. Best broth flavor, large selection of meat options (broth is also MEAT-based so not ideal for strict vegans), fast and friendly service. Cash only, no credit or debit capabilities. A wonderful, inexpensive place to stop for breakfast or lunch.
This is my favorite Pho anywhere. There is a lot of good pho out there but for some reason, this just hits right. Weird hours so it's a treat when I can work it into my schedule. Always worth it.
I finally got back to my favorite neighborhood Vietnamese Pho restaurant. Not sure what happened with the closure they had a while back, but the Pandemic made me feel like they were closed for a loooong time. They renovated it a bit and the interior seems a lot more cozy than before. Loved the brick wall. My to-go was #9 and picked up a Spring Roll with it. It was soooooo gooood! Missed the authentic Pho soup they make. Flavorful and not salty. I love that they have different sizes. Small, medium and large. I went for the medium and it was the perfect size for me. Thanks for being open on weekends too!
Very nice inside. From the outside it looks like it would be small and old looking inside but it has been fully remodeled inside. It looks great. Food was delicious and staff was super nice.
Best pho in Long Beach, amazing ice coffee too. I usually go to garden grove/Westminster, but this is just as good
Definitely some of the very best pho Long Beach has to offer (several sizes available for most the small or regular seems to be sufficient. They do have L & XL sizes available for the truly very hungry guests). The broth is neither too salty nor too sweet- spiced perfectly not at all cloying as some can be. Fried bread is a great accompaniment. Don’t miss out on the fried egg rolls which are fantastic too.
Love this place. I’m a pho fiend, and their broth is my favorite — soooo delicious. Sunny little corner shop with low-key, friendly and fast service.
Fav pho spot in Long Beach. Tendon, beef flank is the go to order. Douse the entire bowl in hoisin sauce.
ABSOLUTELY LOVE the fact that I can choose what size pho I want. Small was plenty, great price, a bit over $10 so I got a Vietnamese coffee as well! Being able to finish it all by myself and not wasting any made this my number 1 go to pho spot. Delicious too! Will be back for sure whenever the craving strikes!
I got vermicelli with grilled pork which was tasty. My friend got Pho beef combo. I also got iced Vietnamese coffee with condensed milk. You know it’s authentic when your coffee comes with a tiny spoon in the glass cup. Reasonable price and nice service.
This pho place has been around for 20 years. Even though the owner has changed, the taste is still just as amazing as before!
First time trying this place and it did not disappoint. We had a chicken pho, rare steak pho, shrimp and pork spring rolls and a side of bread that they recommend for dipping in the pho. It was delicious! The bread tasted like doughnut bread but lighter. I highly recommend!
The broth is clean, with light beefy flavor, and the spices are not overpowering. Its fragrance comes from the fresh green onions and cilantro. The meat and noodles ration is perfect. The herbs condiments are generous amounts and really fresh. The Chinese donuts come hot and fresh. I like to dip mine in the hot broth. Pro tip: Go for the XL bowl if you are hungry! Service is warm, food comes fast. They have good, multiple dining areas. The inside dining and restrooms are clean. I live that they open early at 0800, since I always crave pho for breakfast. Street parking only.
As a Long Beach resident, I’ve been coming here for years. I definitely think it’s one of the most authentic tasting Pho In town. Only open till 5 PM and all they serve is Pho and don’t forget the nice crunchy bread which compliments the pho very well. Prices have definitely gone up, but you still have the option of small, medium or large unlike most places which charge a flat rate of 15+ for a bowl. Service has always been great here no issues so far. Parking can be a bit scarce I usually park at Walgreen. The ambience is pretty simple and mildly loud, depending on the size of your party. You might have to wait for a table or just take whatever’s available. Overall the food and service are worth it while being affordable.
Pho Hong Phat is always one of the cheapest options for pho in Los Angeles, even after inflation. They also have a range of sizes from S to XL. Their mains menu is very standard: pho with different meat toppings and a few other noodle dishes. They also have a big drink menu with uncommon options like soda with raw egg yolk. I ordered that alongside a small bowl and a Chinese donut. Here, the service is really fast. Once you’re seated, they’re ready to take your order and once you get up to pay, they’re ready to prep for the next party. I think it’s pho shop basics to have speedy food prep, and they have that down pat, bringing our orders very quickly. The pho tastes very good and the broth is present. There is a good amount of meat. Small size seems good for a kid. Medium will be a normal meal while large and extra large are fit for hungry people. The soda with raw egg yolk was so good. It’s creamy, maybe like eggnog, but light and refreshing from the soda.
I went with my friends for a bite here after a community service event at 10am on a Saturday. The service was fast! As soon as we walked in, we were seated. They took our order right away and the food came out quick. It was so delicious! I ordered the #9 with a diet coke. I will definitely be coming back!
Best pho I have ever eaten make sure to put some of the magic sauce (sits on the table just ask) inside for extra flavor, the spring rolls are so fresh and yummy... also they make what's called a fried bun (not on the menu) amazing a must must try for sure.
Absolutely fantastic! There was a little bit of a wait but worth it. The long bread was delicious and everything tasted so fresh.
I love this place. The broth hits different. Even though I live basically in Westminster in the heart of Asia, I will make the drive to LB for this. #8 with a side of bread is the usual. The only issue for me is I get lazy to drive at times andddd they close early. So if I'm craving it later in the day I just can't have it :( Anyone I haven't taken here does tell me it hits different. Fatty brisket is my jam. Also, carbs. I like to dip my carbs in my soup then follow it with more carbs/noooods.
PHO HONG PHAT IS OPEN AGAIN AND I COULD NOT BE HAPPIER. Ordered a large #1 with bread and it is the classic taste I have been missing during their remodel. They have very cute to go cups that I can’t wait to reuse!

This is the pho spot in Long Beach! When it’s lunch time and you want pho, go here. It’s reliable and the staff is very friendly

Highly recommended... If you're into some delicious pho you should try this place for sure 😁.. Very decent price
My wife and I were in Long beach for a one night's stay for a work obligation. We had lunch here before checking-in to our hotel. It was phenomenal. This place has the best pho we have ever had. We both had iced green teas, medium sized pho ga's, shared the very large and delicious shrimp spring rolls (add hoisin and plenty of peanuts to the dipping sauce and mix. You're welcome!), and shared an order of the asian doughnut to be dipped in the pho. It was so good that we went back the next day for lunch on our way out of town. We ordered the exact same thing and saved a bit of our basil from the pho to have with our spring rolls. Oh man, I wish we could have this shipped to St. Louis!
Been going here for 15 years at least. They were a small one room hole in the wall where the wait was forever and watched them expand and fill up every space. They just recently added more than just pho to the menu, and even though it's all delicious it was great when they only offered pho. I was told ownership changed but the quality of food is still stellar and the staff is quick and friendly. You have to get the food here it's worth fighting parking.

Lovely place for pho, fast service. The broth is just not that flavorful as it was prior to their construction, it is good but tastes like it is missing something
Fast services, good price, only pho so dont think you have any option. Size large is really a regular size bowl. Tasty broth.
Love the pho Here! Plus they have Chinese fried bread which is amazing when soaked in the pho broth! Ask for tour bean sprouts steamed so the soup stays piping hot!
Pho is more than a little strong in the fish sauce, but otherwise flavorful (wouldn't say flavorful in traditional pho-broth sense, but it's definitely not bland). The to-go packaging leaves a little to be desired as the meat and veggies come together in one container (I got rare steak so this was not ideal), and neither this container, the container for the noodles, nor the container for the broth was large enough to combine everything. Best to eat there (it looked like there was makeshift outdoor dining in the back) or hope you have a large enough bowl at home. The restaurant offers other non-pho options, as well as tea/boba, coffee, and quick-grab items like banh tieu (Vietnamese fried sesame donut), che (pudding-like desserts), and bao. The restaurant staff appears to be abiding by covid precautions - there is appropriate signage, plexi divider, masks, and gloves being used - but it's obvious this is a family-run restaurant. A younger person was on a laptop (without a mask) in a booth and an older person was drinking tea at another, but the restaurant is otherwise not allowing indoor dining.
The food is pretty decent. The pho tasted like a cross between Vietnamese and Cambodian broth. Hands down the best vietnamese-cambodian spot in Long Beach. Must try.
Aside from the continuous smell of authentic fish and soups, the noodles and dishes are delicious and authentic. The nice plate of Thai basil and raw beansprouts is yummy. The ice coffees and teas are worthy. Clean, friendly and great service, congenial atmosphere.
This Pho place is popular in the local Khmer community. The Pho is flavored a bit differently than most other Pho in town. It tastes sort of, well, cinnamon-y to me - but I doubt it's actually that. In any case, it is good even if a bit light on the meat. Note that you only get Thai Basil greens on the plate with the bean sprouts, peppers, and lime.
Extremely friendly service. I saw the servers give candy out to kids and chatting up the customers. Our table wasn't given water, and when I mentioned they gave us free deep fried bread as a consolation. Other places don't do that. Parking can be tough because it's next to a popular mexican food place. Interior seating is cramped but they really needed to utilize all the space because this place seemed pretty popular. Exterior of the building looks very modern and aesthetic.
The food wasn't stellar, but it wasn't bad either. It did hit the spot. My Large pho w rare beef and well done brisket lacked the brisket part, but I was too hungry to point that out to the staff. I felt they skimped on the beef though. My mom ordered the medium pho with tendons (yuck) and it came in a identical sized bowl as my large pho. They give you the sprouts and greens n jalapenos, but you can order extra for a small charge. Service was fast, place was crowded, I think there was only ever one or two tables free at any one time during my entire visit. I had to ask for my water to be refilled twice. I'd go again if I was craving pho.
Really good pho! Only down side is street parking still a good place to get pho that hits.
I ordered the chicken pho It came with sliced breast . I requested dark meat as it is juicer then white . At pho 54 on brookhurst the meat comes with the bone attached . This way the meat is more moist as opposed to sliced
A small, no frills pho place that does mostly take out but pho is best enjoyed fresh. Decent pho for a great price that gets the job done. Service is quick and veggies are fresh. Good casual place for a quick bite.
Pho Hong Phat Vietnamese Restaurant...It's all about the flavorful broth, satay sauce and fresh garnishes. This Vietnamese pho restaurant has been a landmark of Long Beach, California since I can remember. I've been eating here before the new ownership, renovation and expansion. The new owners have done a great job with preserving the flavor of the broth and upgrading the restaurant inside and out. My quest for a quick meal brought me here to Pho Hong Phat. I ordered a large bowl of their original pho Vietnamese noodle soup. The bowl of pho came out steaming hot with a side dish of garnishes. I quickly tossed in some bean sprouts, basil, sliced jalapenos and a squeeze of lime into the soup. I added Hoison and Sriracha sauce along with their Satay sauce to bring out the flavor. The soup was good to the last drop. Pho Hong Phat Vietnamese Restaurant is located directly at the corner of Anaheim Street and Coronado Avenue in central Long Beach, California. It right across the street from McDonald's restaurant on Anaheim Street. Indoor dining is still restricted due to covid guidelines but they do have outdoor patio dining options in the back of the restaurant. The shop is open 6 days a week from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM and closed on Wednesday. Stop by if you're craving for a bowl of delicious pho noodles.
We were looking for a good PHO restaurant so we decided to go to Pho Hong Phat today. It was cold and rainy and this place was exactly what the doctor had to order. Food was hot and delicious - fair pricing as well. We will be back to eat very soon.

Pretty darn good. Chinese inspired flavor comes out with garlic chili (which is a must try) and Chinese donuts are really tasty too. A nice treat especially if you’re on that side of town. Street parking only so keep your eyes open.

The food was excellent but I don’t think the waitress liked me cuz I waited 15 minutes to get the menu and she even sat down like 6 other people while in the moment she gave them the menu, I was about to leave till one of the employees saw me and gave me one, afterwards once she started taking my order she was giving me attitude for no reason; and the best part is that there wasn’t many people so they can’t take the excuse that it was busy. It was a girl with glasses
I have been going to PHP for 20 years it is a family staple …. I recently heard they were bought by a new owner. I ordered my normal rare steak pho, and the shrimp and pork spring rolls. Nothing is the same not one ingredient. Why would you change their pho recipe? Is what held them up as an establishment for as long as they’ve been open. The fresh ingredients that went into the soup were all slimy and gross. The spring rolls were not even the same. what a bummer for the new owners to treat this family owned beautiful establishment this way.

wondering why everybody gets free bread here including my roomate. Since the first day I came in here for some reason they give me less noodles and meat & even my friends noticed. I came here 7 times this month then finally asked for my bread and they charged me. I don’t know whatsup but somethings definitely off cause my extra large phos are extra large skimped
The food is average. What I don't like is they have a few extra fees. They have a to-go fee. Not a one time to-go fee a fee per item. Right now takeout is the only option. The option to dine in is NOT available. I don't know of any other pho places that have a to-go fee and some have better bowls and utensils when you get takeout too. They charge for extra sauce as well. Also keep a look out for their "service fee". Too many fees. Will avoid in the future.
Their pho was unsatisfactory. The restaurant smelled musty and wreaked of fish sauce. They use waaaaaaaaay too much. The only two good things about this place is that they have a variety of sizes and their bowls are cheap. I would not recommend this place at all.
Had lunch here with my friend ..he had chicken pho..I got the beef pho..I must preface ..I m very critical of Pho since well ..I think my moms pho is the best ....our orders came pretty quick. The broth is not too bad , the noodles were cooked right ..one complaint I have ..is I only had four extremely thin slices of beef...my friend loved his chicken pho. I thought mine was ok. There is the fried bread (gio chao quay) bread which is more Chinese and pho is strictly Viet, that you can eat. I didn't order that bread cuz well that's what is eaten with rice porridge not pho. Anyways , service was quick, efficient, if you don't have a mom that make u Pho once a month ..then yeah...also ..no parking so park on the street. This place only have pho on the menu..dif versions of it no rice..no stir fry no beef broccoli ......just pho. Came back today ..what happened ? Even worse Salty ..salty ..salty ...tiny 2 chopstickfull of noodles ..i asked for extra meat ...and I only got 4 pieces of meat ..yes I counted ...walked out wit my lips cracked and dry ...too too salty ..every one was eating it with the fried bread ..no wonder ..it's to lessen the saltiness...there were mostly regulars ..and I doubt if anybody them had tasted real home made pho ever ...i was too generous last visit ..but this time ...no...don't come here unless you want to fill yourself up with gallons of water afterward. I can literally feel my blood pressure rising ...did even ..could not even finish a small bowl.
Pho the soup taste like water, meat only a few pieces XL bowl $9.50. Don't waste your money there. You should try pho so 1 a lot better.
Worst pho one can ever put int their mouths! The broth taste like boiled water with fish sauce. The place stinks of fish sauce too! I can't believe this restaurant even exist. It's a sin to serve this pho! Yikes
As everyone who rated correctly.... This is not true Pho. The broth is watered down, does not taste as it should. I do not know any other places to recommend but this place will not get my business ever. Next time go to the Mexican place next door.
👎🏿👎🏿👎🏿 Not authentic Vietnamese Pho. The large bowl is medium for other restaurant. Less meat more liquid and noodles. The broth is bland. Dont trust the review from Americans. They dont know what good Pho supposed to taste like. For Viets this is pathetic and no good! The workers speaks Cambodian so we assume their Pho is Cambodian Pho and not Vietnamese pho. Their Thai iced tea is good and iced coffee. THE SERVER SHOULD WORK ON THEIR GREETING (learn to say Hi/ How are you?). Not just say " Sit wherever!" ????? Not Coming back here anymore.👎🏿
Was sadly disappointed with this place. Ordered pho and it may of had 3 bites of meat. I noticed that had double meat as an option, but I've never had to go that option until here. The place was busy, but maybe everyone else had double meat as being regulars. The bowls also we the same size and I paid more because my bowl had a striped band. I measured depth and circumference of the bowls and they were the same. The lady there argued the fact. Won't be going back there for soup.
If this place was located in Kentucky then maybe it might just be among the better phos within the state. One look at the reviews and you’ll see that there is not a single Vietnamese reviewer in sight. Upon getting my order, I was greeted with a watery broth that lacked depth or richness. Despite getting an extra large, the meat portions were disappointing, and I actually ran out of meat before I ran out of noodles, which would never happen at an authentic pho restaurant. The tendons are absolutely sinful. Cut into paper thin strips, they are the equivalent of recieving a hard boiled egg with a rock hard mouseball of a yolk at a ramen restaurant. Anyone that has been to a good, authentic Pho restaurant would know that large, chunky tendons are the best part of the meal. You’d be a fool to come here and pay 16$ for some subpar “pho” when you can get a much higher quality, authentic dish with equally as large portions for just 10$ in Westminster/Garden Grove, which is only about 15 minutes from here
I was the first customer, and the broth smelled like wet dog. I had to drown the smell out with Sriracha. I usually don't leave bad reviews, but the $20 a bowl price forced me to. Never again.
