Tina was our server today, and she was amazing. She's very attentive, personable, and talked to us like we were her long-time friends. The food was delicious, the steaks cooked exactly as they were ordered.
We went here for Thanksgiving, arrived at 1:15p and got seated relatively quickly since we had reservations. The turkey dinner was delicious. Others were able to order anything off the regular menu, which is nice since not everyone likes turkey. A highlight was Carrie, who waited on us. She was funny and attentive to our needs and made us comfortable, even as busy as it was there today.
Our server Tina was wonderful!! We had a great experience! We have been going here for three years and the food is always top notch and the service has improved greatly over that time. We have always loved the atmosphere!
Decided last minute to take my mom to dinner and I’m glad we chose this Saltgrass location. The food was delicious and the drinks were amazing. We both had the chopped steak and a pineapple margarita. What really made this experience great was our server, Nick. Literally the best server I have had in a while. He was very attentive, polite, and personable. Wish I could give this review more than 5 stars because of the amazing service. Every time I come to this location I will definitely ask to be sat in his section.
This place was AMAZING. My server Jasmine was the best. The food was outstanding. I got the 12oz Pat’s Ribeye with a side of mushrooms. It was cooked perfectly. I opted for the potato soup that was the best I’ve had. I will definitely be going back!
My wife had her favorite T-bone steak. I had a steak salad. Both were well prepared. Good table service. We were seated quickly and at a good location with easy access for my wife's rollator walker. Our waiter was very GOOD. He paid attention to my wife's special food allergies and her preference for how the steak should be prepared. Thanks
Food was great and service was amazing!! I was cold and Tina brought me a jacket. Highly recommend asking for her to be your server!
Server Carson Casper is absolutely amazing! We are regulars at Saltgrass, and Carson is always on. He remembers our drink orders from previous visits and has been the best part of going to Saltgrass. He’s is so friendly.
I had the absolute pleasure of dining at saltgrass recently, and I can confidently say that it was an unforgettable experience from start to finish, thanks in large part to our amazing server, Tina. From the moment we arrived, it was clear that this restaurant takes pride in not only its food but also its service. We were greeted with a warm welcome and quickly seated at our table, where Tina introduced herself with a smile and an easygoing professionalism that immediately put us at ease. Her knowledge of the menu was exceptional—when we asked for recommendations, she gave us personalized suggestions based on our preferences. She was quick to keep our drinks full without us having to ask. It’s rare to find a server as good as her.
I just moved back to Longview after 16 years out of state. Saltgrass is one of the first places I went to that had amazing food, great prices, a good happy hour, and a team that took great care of customers, me and those around me! Robin and Nathan have always had great service! Serena has been the manager on duty when I have been in and she is friendly and helpful! I've met a few other employees since coming back to town and this is definitely a place that I enjoy coming to.
This was our first visit. I had chosen it for my birthday lunch and it did not disappoint. Our server, Fred, was very knowledgeable and answered all our questions. Our food was very good. I informed the server that I don't eat salt and was pleasantly surprised that my steak didn't have an overly salty taste as I find in many steak restaurants. Overall, we enjoyed our lunch, the food, and the atmosphere.
Nathon at the Longview, TX location was amazing. I honestly haven't had that good of service in awhile. Attentive and helpful. Very good experience.
We absolutely love Saltgrass! Service and quality of food is always top notch! Tina was our server and she went above and beyond to make our experience special! Jared was our manager and he made it a point to visit with us and checked to ensure we were well taken care of!
So fresh and flavor on onion chop and homemade carrots cake. Yummy
It was our first time to Saltgrass in several years. We were BLOWN AWAY by Tina’s service!! Her knowledge and recommendations from the menu were spot on! She gave us the absolute best service we have ever had, hands down!!!!! Highly recommend Saltgrass in Longview! Ask for Tina!!
We've been here twice in the last two months. So happy that the first visit wasn't just a fluke. Steaks are great, happy hour is fantastic, and service is fabulous. We look forward to our next experience here. Also have to mention that their Old Fashioned is as solid as I've ever had. I've paid double elsewhere and have been disappointed over and over. Great job, Bartenders!
Tina was absolutely on top of it. She was nice and helpful from the moment we were seated to when we got up. The restaurant itself was clean, spacious, and calming;dim but not dark. They took me allergy very seriously without making me seem like an inconvenience. I definitely recommend this location and Tina.
My company hosted a dinner seminar and we had Fred Bockelman as our designated waiter and he did an excellent job. Our schedule can be tough to keep up with but he was a seasoned pro. Logan the host was so courteous and helpful in getting the tables set just right. The manager had everything ready with menus when we arrived. We will host there again.
The food was perfect! The bread super soft and fluffy, the steaks were cooked exactly how we liked, and the fried mushrooms are almost as good as the steak. Our server, Tina, put the bow on the whole experience with her excellent service.
Really a 4.5 because its not earth shattering....its good and we enjoy the service and food.
Tina is incredible! Every time I come in for our events, she goes above and beyond to take care of everything. She’s attentive, quick, and always a step ahead making sure things run smoothly without me even having to ask. She’s professional, friendly, and consistently makes the experience better. If you’re here, you’ll be lucky to have Tina as your server!
Food was great! But service was even better!! I’ve been here many times, but Tina made this experience one of the best!
Rio was our server he was great being from Tn and traveling all 48 states it is usually a hit an miss with steakhouses. BUT THIS ONE HIT THE MARK AND OVER THE MARK IN EVERY WAY!! Starting with the steak itself it was marinated and cooked to perfection didn't have to send out back not once. The manager came to check on us and the drinks were not skimpy on the alcohol GREAT JOB EVERYONE if I could rate more I definitely would.
I had an incredible experience during my recent visit, and it deserves all the praise. From the moment we were seated, our server Linda was absolutely AMAZING. She was incredibly attentive, friendly, and made us feel genuinely cared for throughout the meal. My mom had taken me out for my birthday, and Linda overheard her call me “the birthday girl.” At the end of our meal, she surprised me with a slice of cheesecake with a candle and a birthday card—such a thoughtful and unexpected gesture! I don’t usually eat cheesecake, but this one was honestly the best I’ve ever had. The food? 10 out of 10. I ordered a Ribeye, and let me just say—a good steak never needs sauce, and mine didn’t need a thing. It was cooked to perfection, flavorful, and tender. The manager, Serena, also stopped by to check in, and she was just as kind and welcoming. You can tell this restaurant values both excellent food and excellent service. I highly recommend dining here—great food and even greater service made for a birthday dinner I won’t forget.
I had the Chicken Laredo even though the steaks are to die for here always cooked to perfection!!! This place has great quality food and the prices are reasonably priced. The service here is good, also has a bar in case you like to have a cocktail with your meal. Restaurant is well staffed and clean. The menu has so many great food options you will not be disappointed if you come. Would definitely recommend this place to friends and family
Great 1st day for Bree! Keep up the good work! Your friends at Grace Baptist Church, Decatur TX
I had a good time with the people that went and were with us. The food was amazing. But it was cold in there the night we went.
Had dinner tonight and what a great experience! Our server was Samantha and we could not have had better service, she was very attentive and at the same time didn’t stick around and interrupt dinner. Wasn’t able to get pictures of our entree’s but we had a new york strip with sprouts, and the honey sriracha chicken with broccoli. Both were excellent and the salads were very fresh. For dessert we had the APPLE CROWN PIE , yes you heard that right, and you have to be 21 or order it and it is amazing. The Landry’s Select Club membership is well worth the $25. I got mine a couple years ago and they give you $25 every year towards your meal for your birthday as well as credits for each of your other meals as well as vouchers for free stuff on your email. After redeeming these tonight my bill was $1.59 before tip! Happy birthday to me!
Service was fantastic. Very accommodating with my food allergies. They even went so far as to modify my appetizer so that I would be able to eat it. It’s nice to know that the also make their food from scratch including the sauces. Overall I’m very pleased with my experience here. Also they have really good steaks here.
I just wish there were more stars for servers/service. Our server, Tina, is AWESOME!! I only ask for her, especially on the weekends, or when they are super busy. We will even wait for her if we need to. Now as to the food. I love their food! We will occasionally share a meal and the food comes out cooked to order, hot, and ready to sink my teeth into. Can’t remember if it was Mother’s Day or Father’s Day, but I got the Pat’s ribeye and it was wonderful! We also love the grilled chicken breast! Carrot cake is delicious, also. With all this being said, Please ask for Tina when you visit Saltgrass in Longview.
We went here to celebrate signing on our house. The food was phenomenal and the wine was great. We even got a couple glasses to take home.
We had a fantastic experience for dinner! Our server, Chandler, took exceptionally good care of us, checking in without hovering and ensuring we had everything we needed to enjoy our dining experience. The food was delicious as well. We had a delightful evening and will definitely return... and we will request to sit in Chandler's section!
We had made a reservation on the Saturday before Mother's Day, anticipating missing the Mother's Day rush. It appears that I was not alone in that thought because they were incredibly busy. Despite the immense number of customers, the table was ready surprisingly close to our reservation time, the service was spot on, and the staff were calm, professionals who had it under control. Carson was working super hard, yet never made us feel rushed or undervalued. He fast walked from table to table and then to the kitchen, then back to the dining room, but when he stopped to check on us, he took the time to make us feel valued and heard. They were obviously busy, but still took time to ensure that everything was done correctly. The managers were even at the top of their game. Serena, Jamie, and Jared all stopped by separately, just making sure that everything was up to expectations. The food was out promptly and was as wonderful as we had on other nights. The fact that they were able to maintain their standards of service and food quality on such a busy night cannot be understated! I am not one to leave a review, but when you perform that well under pressure, it deserves to be recognized!
The service was excellent. I would definitely ask for Hannah to wait on me again. She was very attentive, friendly and helpful. The manager was also very nice and friendly. Definitely will go again.
Carson was our server and he did a great job! Best service we have had in a while! The bartenders were great as well!
The food was great but the service was even better! Tina is the best of the best!! It was like I was experiencing saltgrass for the first time again!
We had a wonderful dining experience at Saltgrass Steak House in Longview, Texas. Tina was our waitress, and she provided superb service from start to finish. She was friendly, attentive, and made sure everything was perfect throughout our meal. It’s always refreshing to have someone take such great care of their guests. Tina truly made our visit enjoyable, and we appreciate the excellent service she provided. We will definitely be back!
First time I've ever been to saltgrass. We made reservations for my husbands birthday and I'm sure glad we did because it was packed. I got the chicken fried steak with loaded mashed potatoes and let me tell u that thing was huge and so good. My husband got a ribeye steak blue rare and they actually cooked it exactly how he wanted it. We loved it. Yes it's not cheap so obviously we can't go all the time but for a nice date or occasion I was perfect 😉
We had a amazing sweet server named Mrs Tina. She was very delightful and her service was one of the best I've ever seen. Saltgrass is blessed to had her working there. We need more Mrs Tina in the world. The food was very good. It was truly a wonderful Valentines day dinner.
First time at salt grass and it was amazing!!! Steak was perfect!!!! Service was sooo good as well! Definitely recommend seeing and chatting Serena so sweet and answered all my questions I had with a smile on her face ! Highly recommend
Alicia was our server. She was amazing! My husband and I had been disappointed in other restaurants lately. We were sooo beyond happy with Saltgrass! The food, service, and atmosphere! 100% amazing!
The food was world class, the drink where spot on, the food was the delicious and the cheese was honestly some of the best I've had. Tina, our server was amazing. Such a wonderful lady. She made us feel like family.
I go to saltgrass steakhouse so much that it’s like my second home! I decided th have my birthday dinner there and my waitress was amazing ( Pat) she is the sweetest!! I cannot forget about Serena!!! From the moment I let her know I wanted to have my dinner there she was sooooo excited and honored to be a part of it!!! I told her how I wanted it to be and she made it happen!!!! Literally one of the best managers I know!!!!! Thank you guys for making my night amazing!!!! And thank you for always having my steaks cooked to perfection!!!
Great place to have a nice steal dinner. No loud crowd. Not a "bar" type atmosphere. Just a nice, quiet, and western style place to have a great steak dinner. Service was awesome! No wait, we got seated right after walking in the door. Food does cost more at this steakhouse. But for special occasions, birthdays, etc. it is a wonderful steakhouse. And - the brisket queso and smoked mac n cheese were both TOP notch!!
We had a great night at Saltgrass! The service from Tina was spot on! We ended up ordering the bone-in ribeye special based on her recommendation and it was perfect. Our food came out as we finished our salad and soup and it was cooked just right! Kudos to the chef and to the staff at Saltgrass! Sorry - I don’t have any pictures because the food is gone. 🤣
I must say for a steakhouse, I've had peanut butter and jelly sandwiches better than what we tried to eat (and "tried" is very accurate). My wife & I shared the chicken fried chicken and I'm glad we split the meal. I'd hate to know I spent that much money on a meal that was tough as nails. The fried batter crust was so hard it crumbled trying to cut it with the steak knife. The bread that is supposed to come as the meal is being prepared came precisely as we were about to ask for the check. But hey, at least the water was ice cold. I will not be going back to any Saltgrass.
This is my absolute favorite place to eat. The atmosphere is calming. Wait staff is very professional. Menu has a wide variety of choices. I always get something different. I did not like the charred brussel sprouts. Over cooked!! Steaks are great. Flash fried green beans are the he best. Best primed rib around. Prices are a bit upscale. Not an everyday eatery. Great for a date or just a relaxing dinner. I will be back. Ask for Tina. She's a very nice and personable waitress. Always made sure our drinks were full and we were happy. I love this place and will be back
Food was absolutely phenomenal. I’ve been here twice now, once on 10/29/25 and again today, and both times the dishes blew me away. The ribeye and soup I had on my last visit were cooked to perfection; the soup was hearty and filling, and the loaded mashed potatoes were just as impressive. On my first visit, I tried the chopped steak and asparagus, and honestly, I might have liked the chopped steak even more than the ribeye, both were outstanding. My only complaint is the slightly subpar service.
First time eating here! The food was amazing, tender chicken fried steak, range rattlers chefs kiss, temp of the food was unmatched and perfection. The waiter we had “CHANDLER” was on top of everything, from recommendations, knowledge of the reward program, refilling drinks, keeping the table clean and the perfect person to do a commercial based off of Friendly staff! I will most definitely be coming back!!!
We had a fantastic dinner here, made even better by Chandler, our server. My husband had his favorite, steak salad with an upgrade from sirloin to filet and I had the filet, with perfectly done sweet potato fries and the house salad with enhancements, so a variety of other items that routinely come with the steak salad. Chandler was even able to accommodate my request for avocado, which was never an option prior to this visit. He cared about making sure our special requests were taken care of so we actually got what we really wanted rather than just settling for strictly what was on the menu for an item. We've been dining here for several years and this is one of the best experiences we've had. It was great chatting with this young man and we will definitely ask to be seated in his section from now on. His attention to detail was absolutely great and we appreciated him checking back periodically to make sure we were good with everything. Thanks Chandler for your superior customer service!!! *****
I have eaten here twice upon writing this review, so the good quality of this can be determined from that statement. More specifically, I have eaten both a New York strip and porterhouse and both were given to me cooked as requested, my girlfriend however had one of her fillet mignon's being underdone in which they took back and fixed. Secondly during my first time there I ordered a topper for the steak, which did not arrive with the steak. My second time there was perfect and my service was nothing to complain about. As far as steakhouses go it is good value for the taste and quality of the beef, I recommend.
What a delightful experience... My wife and I were headed to Roadhouse for steaks. Both of us decided to forget that and try Saltgrass Steak House - excellent decision! We were met at the door by a very friendly hostess. Our waiter Johnathan was amazing. He was very helpful, offered us suggestions that included complimentary soup or salad and yummy bread. We both ordered the Gulfcoast Steak & Shrimp. The steaks were cooked to perfection and the grilled blackened shrimp were surprisingly wonderful (as we usually order our shrimp fried). Jennifer came over to our table to check on us and Introduce herself. Both Johnathan & Jennifer took great care of us and made the entire dining experience seem cozy, comfortable & like family. We will certainly be back and see what other delightful options on the menu will greet us. My wife's birthday is in April and the Rewards Card Option I highly recommend everyone join as the benefits are outstanding. We received a 25.00 discount off our check & One of the best, delicious piece of Cheesecake ever! Thank you all at Saltgrass Steak House for a very memorable evening. 😊 if this review was helpful, please "like" it.
Service was absolutely amazing. Pat took very good care of us. \nFood was hot and the steak was cooked perfectly.

Shanitra was amazing and the GM Reggie made sure to stop and check on us. The environment wasn’t too loud. The ambiance was great, and the restaurant was very clean. We’ll be back!

Lunch menu, variety of choices, however my $19 steak was grisly. Also had salad and baked potato soup instead if a side. The soup was good as well as the salad.
We waited a long time for our main course. Ordered our steak medium rare...it was medium and way too salty. We got the Pats Ribeye.
We got the ribs and shrimp to split and it was very good but VERY pricey. We don't eat much and we're still hungry when we left. The waiter was ok but nothing special. We will probably go back sometime but we have to find a money tree to pay for our $29 plate.
Tonight was our first time eating here. We started out at the Texas Roadhouse(who was not willing to accommodate my handicapped mother). I'm very glad to have ended up here. The food was great!! The portions were a good size for the price. Everything was hot and fresh. The service was very quick. We got our drinks and within 5min, we had our appetizers. They brought bread to the table as well and the only complaint I have there, is that it was a bit hard and we personally, would have preferred rolls. Within 10min of getting our appetizers, our food was ready. I had a 16oz steak, medium-well and baked potato with a side of fried shrimp. The steak was great. The potato could have been better, but nothing to complain about. The shrimp were a bit spicy and the only complaint I have there is that I wish I would have known they would be spicy but otherwise it was great!! Our server was super nice and super quick with everything. The only real legit complaint I have is that it was really dark in the restaurant and we had to use our flashlights on our phones, to read the menu. 😆 They sat us without issue and were more than happy not to put us in an over populated area. Thank you Saltgrass!!! 👏🏻👏🏻 We will be back. 🫶
The food was good, the service was good, the appearance and the atmosphere was good. The only thing that bothered me was hearing someone in the kitchen yelling at other kitchen staff repeatedly and hearing it all the way through the dining room. It's unprofessional to let everybody in your dining room hear that and to treat your employees that way. I understand the kitchen is a fast-paced place but that's unnecessary And unprofessional. The wait staff were very friendly and nice.
We were seated immediately and our drink order was quickly taken. We put our kids orders in first because we needed a few more minutes. Their food still came out at the same time as ours so that was pointless. Everything was great, the fried chicken was good but not seasoned at all. The steak was seasoned to perfection and cooked exactly how my husband requested. The only real complaint we had was our daughters sliders came out medium. We were not aware that is how they cook them, even for children.
We had a very large party and the service was immaculate.
First I must say, I come here for their cheesecake. Its very good. My food was good and didn't take long to come out. I ordered the chicken fried chicken with baked potato and chicken tortilla soup. The only issue was my server. He seem like he didn't want to be there and he was very unhelpful to the table beside me. They were asking him basic questions about the food and he acted like he didn't want to answer them. The guy was asking him what all comes on the salad and he would just respond that it's a house salad.
Asked for med got well on my ribeye. Baked potatoes soup was average at beast. \nOverall chopped steak with mushrooms was good.

Food was tasty. service was attentive. A few slight issues, but staff ensured that everything was corrected to our satisfaction. Enjoyable night out~
Slow. Not enough staff. Food was good. 10oz steak. OK.
Was not a big fan of the sweet butter used across the menu at this restaurant. Besides that presentation and quality was great.
Too dark during daytime, too freezing inside. Prices way too high. Texas roadhouse is better in my opinion. It has lower prices.
Bathroom clean.... Found was good workers helpful they pointed me in the right area to pick up my food to go...then I left and got half way back home decided to check my order And I had to go back because they forgot my bread and there bread is good and that butter. 🤤 Yummy. Then I went home and enjoyed my dinner with my husband and our pup.. I will return back to one of this never had eat her before...
There was a piece of hair trapped in my burger... not one but two hairs. Look closely it is there. The gluten free bun was very good though. The potato soup might as well have had 2 parts grease and 3 part potatoes. It was like baby mush. Not that good, no picture of that. My husband went to talk to someone, maybe a manager... he saw my hair and said it looked like mine. REALLY? My hair is super curly.... that hair is bone straight! I was upset that he would even think it was my hair! Thank God I started eating the other half first. I contemplated posting this, mainly because I like to give good reviews. I thought about it all day and decided that I would post this. Unfortunately, we won't ever be back. Outback and Longhorn are better, shoot, even Texas Roadhouse is better! Sorry to post this, but completely necessary. They did take the hamburger off the ticket however, I was already so grossed out that the damage was done.
So we’ve been to this Saltgrass quite a few times and our last visit wasn’t bad, but I was disappointed on a few aspects. Service was great, but I have feedback on the following below. Food quality: I ordered the Pats Ribeye and I believe the plate was $31. If I had seen the cut of meat before hand I would have changed to something else, as it was not worth the plate cost. Seasoning was good, was cooked close enough to what I asked for, but the quality of the meat itself that I was served was not worth the cost. Another couple at our table ordered the chicken fried chicken because the portions use to be ample. The serving size has gone down significantly. They basically had 3 bites each splitting a chicken fried chicken. They no longer allow split checks on large parties, which I didn’t really have a huge problem with, but disgruntled some of my larger party. The prices have gone up significantly so to see the portions shrinking as well as the quality is very disappointing. I know food costs keep rising, but you cant raise prices while serving smaller portions with lower quality ingredients. In addition, putting extra restrictions on large parties doesn’t really seem to be necessary. I haven’t seen that policy at many, if any other restaurants.
My wife took me to Saltgrass Steakhouse for my 53rd Birthday. I had been wanting to go since the restaurant had opened up in Longview,TX. We ordered the Surf and Turf Steak and Grilled Shrimp. Our server was great. The grilled shrimp was very delicious. The steak was good but not great. The presentation of the food was good, I ordered my steak medium. The taste was bland with no seasoning and dry tasting. For the money my wife paid, we will not be going back.
My family and I went to this restaurant for a good steak meal. The service was great, the atmosphere while a bit noisy was ok also. For the most part everyone had a great plate of delicious food. My plate however was missing half of what I ordered. I talked with the waiter and he let me see that he did indeed order all of the items. He checked the kitchen twice to no avail. So in the end those items were removed and he was given a good tip, all of this was not his fault.
The top tier steak was over salted, it was cooked close to perfection. The service time was horrible and the wait staff we got was atrocious. Took the order, and did not check or offer for refills on water or drinks. The atmosphere is good, the kitchen and wait staff needs retraining.
Our server was good but unfortunately the food not so much. I’m very disappointed with this experience at Saltgrass in E. Loop 281, Longview Tx. I’ve never had such an experience with the food not being up to par. We bought 3 adult meals and an appetizer and the only thing that was the quality we are used to from Saltgrass was the appetizer. We would have been better off grabbing fast food for the quality we got.
Ordered redfish plate and the toppings tasted old and the serving was small. For the cost, it was disappointing. We probably will not be back. The server was good and friendly.
⸻ On December 12, my husband and I ordered takeout from Saltgrass Steak House in Longview, Texas. I placed the order online with an expected pickup time of 5:00 p.m. My husband arrived around 5:02 p.m. and was told the order was not ready. While waiting, he noticed several boxes of food sitting off to the side of the counter and wondered if they might be ours. After waiting an additional 15 minutes, he attempted to get someone’s attention to ask about the order. When no one assisted him, he had to call the restaurant from inside the building to get help. A staff member told him they were still waiting on the salads. A few minutes later, she brought out the salads and picked up the boxes that had been sitting on the counter for quite some time. By that point, my husband was very frustrated and told her he no longer wanted the order and would prefer a refund. She then brought over the manager, Jamie, who stated that she could not issue a refund because the order was placed through a third party. She said she would take his information and attempt to process a refund on Monday. She did not apologize or acknowledge any fault. Frustrated, my husband took the food and left. Afterward, I called the restaurant and spoke with Jamie myself. She offered to remake the food, which was pointless since my husband was already nearly home. This option had not been offered while he was still at the restaurant. She took my information and said I should hear back by the following Tuesday. We never heard anything. For the past two weeks, I have tried contacting Landry’s corporate office and have left multiple messages without receiving a response. We frequently dine at other Landry’s locations, such as Del Frisco’s and Oceanaire, and have always received impeccable service. We do not visit Saltgrass often, and after this experience, we will not be returning. We would rather go across the street to Texas Roadhouse, where we consistently receive better service. To say I am disappointed in this location—and in Landry’s as a whole—is an understatement. We have been Landry’s members for years and expect far better customer service than what we experienced. At this point, I am not necessarily seeking a refund, but rather acknowledgment of our extremely poor experience.
We came for our anniversary and we waited over 30 min. For our drinks and salads my steak was burnt on the outside my husband's steak was rare he asked for medium as did I. Both of our baked potatoes where so overcooked they where beyond dry and the amount of garlic was just bad. Oh and the amount of butter that came with the bread wasn't even enough for 2 slices and in that whole time we where waiting the waitress kept bringing other people's food to our table. My husband and I came for your last anniversary and the staff at that time made it amazing that's why we came back but not again.
I've never eaten in such a cold temperature in my life, except when I go snow skiing. Not even exaggerating. I asked them twice to warm it up and they just blew me off. We could hear everyone at the other tables talking about how freezing it was in there. Do they want to keep customers or not??? Absolutely ridiculous. Couldn't enjoy my food at all. And I had a long sleeve shirt and jeans on. When we we were getting ready to leave, I put my glasses back on my face (they were sitting on in the table the whole time) and they actually fogged up instantly. Unbelievable. We should have left before we even got started eating. Won't be going back there again for sure. And the bread was like eating air. Had a couple bites and couldn't do it. Too bad Salt grass doesn't care about having return customers.
I get it that it's the holiday season and it's a Saturday night, but I identified myself when I made the reservation as Landry's member and I specifically said no table by the bathroom or the kitch…

If I could give it a negative 5 I would! We came on Thanksgiving Day with a reservation at 1:00 for a turkey dinner. We were seated 40 minutes later. Everyone in the party ordered the turkey dinner…
Longview location: This was a horrible experience. We arrived at 1:15 and left at 2:50. Dirty dishes, long wait for food and beer, cold soup

I do not like seeing my waitress on drugs that makes the establishment look bad. I could see her perfananela in her apron when she was porting drinks
My wife ordered a well done Filet . The first steak came out medium rare. We sent it back , second steak came back still medium rare but now all fat. The manager came to table and she agreed that…
Rude hostess. waited a good bit for her to finally slowly mosey up to us, and told us there’d be a 10/15 minute wait, although there were PLENTY of open tables, not nearly as crowded as other tim…
I have never received such poor service at a Salt Grass as I have at this one in Longview. Beyond just my experience today this extends back to my last two or three experiences this year so far. I expect so much more from a Salt Grass. Management needs to revisit the core values that sets Salt Grass apart from the rest.
Well I usually do not complain. But this was in the top 10 worst dining experiences ever. Got ours salads before any drinks. No bread. Took 40 minutes to get my Ranch Water. Another 35 minutes and my steak showed up cold on the plate. Had to laugh when the server said the plates were hot. They just comped the drink and we left. Very lack luster apology. Guess you all do not need my business.
This was a disaster.after a long wait for the entree, the excuse was a large party preceded my order, the ordered "well done minimal pink" steak was very pink throughout with a lightly carbonized exterior. So the manager offered first to recook the steak and then to cook another. Well after another wait, 50 min since i sat down, the second steak was worse. This may have been a rare event and the manager was sincere but I will give him a few months before I return.
Let me tell u I took my husband to this place for his birthday on Sunday February 15 ,and the waitress was rude ,my husband ordered the Texas tbone steak well done and it came out medium rare and his fries was overcooked,,me n him was mad as hell ,plus my chicken fried steak was salty and mashed potatoes was surpy,me and when I asked for a manager the waitress Christina that works behind the bar said was no manager working and then she slammed our bill on the table and rolled her eyes and she said we was not getting no refund after I asked to speak to a manager, never eating at this restaurant again,my husband did not have a good birthday because of this
The wine glasses were dirty and we waited 30 minutes for new ones that were dirty again our server only came to our table 4 times and after we asked for our food on to go boxes they put it on there dirty dishes again. An absolute joke of salt grass!
Burnt chopped steak. Asked for medium. They took it back. They agreed it was Burnt black and dry. Pumpkin cheesecake awesome. Salad dressing in a teaspoon metal extra small size. Can't explain the size of that little cup. Cheap. How cares anyway. What will they do when you have a hour to eat and they could care less. God bless
Wanna be treated badly, wait over an hour, and receive a cold over cooked steak? This place is for you. And theybwill treat you like a villain if you question your cold food politely.
They claimed my last meal was bad because they changed the menu. The steak was flavorless and overcooked. The Oscar sauce was some watery lump crab and nothing else. When I asked to speak to a manager I was told they wouldn't come to my table. My bill was $200 and a manager wouldn't come to the table? Wow... We have eaten here MANY times, but after this never again. I even wrote a note on my cc receipt for someone to call me. They never did. I absolutely do not recommend wasting your money in an establishment that could careless about the customer's experience.
The worst food my husband and I have ever had… the only good thing was the cocktails. Steak was flavorless, not tender, and the cut wasn’t that great either. We came here wanting to try something new, and spent too much money for food that was WAY under par. Food took too long for 2 steaks and some sides. The brisket queso was sub par as well. Just go to 5D or Texas Roadhouse. Trust me. We spent 150+ with tip for something that tasted $50 minus the drinks.
