The food here is so fun and delicious. There’s something really enjoyable about ordering a bunch of different dumplings and sharing with the table. As a vegetarian, I had plenty of food options. The corn ribs are AMAZING! I’ll be singing about them for days. We will definitely be back soon for more.

First time here! I picked this place 'cause of the reviews, and I'm not bummed. The vibe's nice. It's perfect for a little get-together, and they even have a mini bar. The food's good, I got the corn ribs, and they're awesome. I wasn't starving, so it was a good choice. Hubby got the king pao, and it was good too. Service is good, but the food takes a bit, so heads up.

Soooo goood! My favorite was the bok choy with garlic and the scallion pancake. The calamari was also really good with a squeeze of lemon. I also tried the chrysanthemum tea and that was perfect! I got there for happy hour and prices were pretty decent. 10/10

Came here with a friend after we realized that the wait time for 鼎泰豐 (Din Tai Fung) was 180 minutes (yes, 3 whole hours) on a Saturday night. The experience here was JUST AS GOOD as you would have gotten at 鼎泰豐 (Din Tai Fung) but with a lot less of a wait time. All of the juicy dim sums were great, especially the pork and the Korean Barbecue one. The Honey Walnut Shrimp is also a total home run and the service was fast and attentive. 100% recommended!

A bit expensive but worth it. The pork dumplings were a little small but were super good. The pork shrimp shumai was massive, although not quite as good but still delicious. Fried rice portion was massive and good. Baked pork buns were okay, I'm getting them at night though so I don't think they were fresh and that's probably why. Overall a good choice.

Bao Dim Sum House is my neighborhood go to for delicious authentic affordable dim sum dishes! I would say it compares to din tai fung but better portions and much cheaper. Listen, the quality is still there, most dishes are good to share and some you might want for yourself, but whatever you are into they have it. Service for the most part was friendliest but make sure you come on a weekday to get a full experience I feel like when it’s busy it’s lacking but overall Ive been here more than once. Parking is typical street parking, they might have valet but you have to double check. Overall definitely get the juicy dumplings, The juicy roulette and the duck it’s a must!

Despite not having a lunch reservation, I was seated immediately. (Just me in my party) The service was swift, the tables and booth areas were kept clean, and the food is always good! I had low expectations for the salt and pepper calamari, but the dish was so tasty and ended up being my favorite. If you want to try a few dishes, dine with someone and order different items!

I've been to Bao Dim Sum House twice, lunch & dinner! They offer a lunch specials menu (Noon-3 p.m.) and a Happy Hour Menu (4-7 p.m.) with excellent prices. I highly recommend trying the Mushroom Dumplings (really tasty) and juicy Roulette (a sort of colorful dumplings) for their special offers. We also liked the Egg Drop Soup and shrimp Wonton Soup. The service is excellent, and the food is pretty authentic! Dinner time is packed so ensure to come a bit early to avoid a long wait.

The dim sum here is not as traditional as some other places — it has a more modern and almost less authentic feel to everything. They had the standard dim sum offerings such as shrimp dumplings and shu mai, which were decent. The noodles were a bit greasy for me. Overall the service was good and food came quickly.

Good place to enjoy some Chinese food. But the menu for dim sam is limited. And I don’t think the soup dumplings were house made. I like the radish and ham cake.

See my pics for all the food we ordered. All of them are good and flavorful, except for one which is spareribs with black bean. I suggest you skip that one. Hot tea comes in a pot which is nice, but I dont get the price for a draft beer($10+)

Very fast service, ordered food and it came out within less than 10 minutes. House chow main is phenomenal. Also got the crab meat fried rice which was a little white for a fried rice but pretty good. Lastly, the steam bbq pork buns were also very good. My boyfriend thought they were a bit dry but still delicious.

As far as getting dim sum in the LA area, this place is actually pretty good! It's not as traditional as what you would get in the Pasadena area. There are no carts and you order from a menu, but quality is pretty fresh and good portions too. The tables have a Lazy Susan in the center which is nice for sharing. Some of my favorites are the Crispy Shrimp Balls and Juicy Dumpling Roulette! They have all the classic dim sum offerings too such as Shu Mai. Highly recommend reservations! They are a smaller place and it can get busy!

The restaurant looked fancy outside. They were implementing COVID rules during increased cases in LA. The ambience was good, the food were delicious but the server was rude. The server just put plates and drinks like it was 100-lb heavy. It was an OK experience but there are a lot of restaurants to choose and for sure they are happy to have us and not be mean.

This is not an SGV style Chinese food you’ll get here. For the area you’ll expect more of a fusion flavor Asian food. We came for Happy Hour. There are decent selections available. Calamari had more of a tempura batter texture to it. This was a bit of a miss for me. It tasted a bit too oily. If there were enough of the spices they topped it off with it might have elevated the dish a bit more. Mojito - tasted really bad. It was way too syrupy. Juicy Roulette - is an interesting one. It was a mix of each type of XLB they offered. Beef, pork, crab, etc. I think it lacked soupiness to the bite. Chicken dumpling was excellent. It has a bit of crispness on the skin. Each dumpling served is huge. This one I liked. The pork/shrimp shims I tasted good. Had a large volume to it. The texture was great.

We tried Bao Dim Sum recently and the meal started off strong. The dumplings were delicious and the spicy wontons had great flavor and heat. The pea sprouts were also a nice surprise and were cooked perfectly. At the beginning of the meal, we really thought we were in for something great. Once we moved on to the Chinese staples, things took a noticeable dip. The beef chow fun and honey walnut prawns were just alright and didn’t have the same freshness or depth as the starters. It felt like the kitchen nailed the smaller plates but fell short on the classics. The egg tarts at the end were terrible. They were so dry, the egg center was separating from the tart shell when we got them. I could bet they were reheated from frozen. The biggest disappointment was the duck. It was overcooked, dry and honestly inedible. For a dish that should be a highlight, it ended up being the low point of the entire meal. It really brought down the overall experience for us. Service was also just okay, which didn’t help. The restaurant wasn’t completely full, but it still felt like the staff was a bit inattentive. With a little more consistency from the kitchen and a boost in service, this place could be great, but our visit definitely missed the mark.

I think the food here is good but I’m Irritated with how yall don’t advertise your food properly. I ordered a sesame chicken as advertised in this image on their menu. Instead of big chunks of breaded chicken, I got tiny bits of mostly breading with green onions and no chili peppers. The food was good, but this was not what I wanted and not what I ordered. Also the prices on your menu don’t match what comes on the check. If rice is extra, denote that properly as a separate item. I don’t like feeling like I’m getting tricked or lied to, whether it be the prices on the menu or the amount of meat in an entree.

Nice interior, but doesn't have the feel of authenticity when you walk in. Regardless, it's all about the food right? I must say, I was actually very impressed with their portion sizes, and the taste was solid! The service is nice, and although the interior is fairly dark, give me a seat next to the window will make your experience that much better. I would have loved to come here during happy hour to totally get my money's worth! Of course, you can't compare this to an authentic Mom and Pop shop, but it certainly feels it's niche for those less adventurous. I'll see you during happy hour!

I came here 5 years ago and was absolutely amazed!! Really looked forward to getting back. Unfortunately the quality has dropped significantly. Dumpling where a bit dry and the flavors a bit bland. It’s not bad but not good and for the price it’s not worth it for me. Waiters are really quick and nice tho!

the only thing i can recommend is the Roast Half Duck. However, the buns look really extra for the dish since the duck doesn’t look like the traditional Chinese Peking duck style. It doesn’t serve those Peking duck skin that matches with the buns. The crispy Brussel sprouts is a NONO, it tasted overly grilled. The crispy seafood noodles doesn’t taste authentic at all. The noodles taste worse than Panda Express, no offense, but i have to be honest. The honey walnut shrimp has 8 shrimps. It doesn’t have any honey odor, but still doesn’t taste that good as well… I personally found this restaurant on “Little Red Book”📕… it’s a Chinese app… really shocked that why would Chinese people recommend this place… i mean the pricing is fine especially located in Beverly Hills, but bro the food doesn’t taste good…if it’s good food with a higher price, i would take it. It’s not about pricing now, but it’s just not authentic and tastes flavorless. The service was great, it’s just the food. People r nice and friendly.
