This place has good boba for the area and a pretty nice inside to the building. It's one of the only boba places nearby that you could treat like a Starbucks and work inside it or lounge around as there is a decent amount of seating and a little nook in the corner to just hangout in.

This location is conveniently located near a big parking structure. Out of all the different franchise locations of Sharetea, I think Sharetea in downtown San Mateo has the best taste and consistency. Their drinks are reasonably priced, too. They even offer a self-order tablet where you can sign in to the loyalty program and place your drink order without having to wait in line for the cashiers. I highly recommend this location!

Generous servings of boba, great tea flavors. Easy to customize to not too sweet and not too much ice. I especially love the black & Taro teas.

Stopped in for some teas prior to a movie next door. Accidentally ordered a hot tea vs a cold one. Went back to ask for a cup of ice. The owner and/or staff just made us a new one!!! NO questions asked. Hard to get this kind of great service anywhere lately. Well done....

I've been here many times! I usually get the black milk tea or green milk tea with boba. The boba here is great: incredibly consistent and a good portion. The milk tea drinks are nicely balanced – they have a good tea flavor but are also creamy (it's a non-dairy creamer). The drinks are less expensive (by $1-2) than other boba places in San Mateo and the Bay Area.

The store is down an alley/walking path by the movie theater. It has tables inside to sit and drink at, more than some other milk tea places. I don't think they served any food items.

Got a mojito and the service is quiet. However, wish they serve other snacks.

My go-to at Sharetea is the strawberry black tea with boba, and I frequent the store at the Hillsdale mall. I would argue that the service here at San Mateo is better. The employees remember to ask you what level of ice you would like, what level of sweetness you would like, etcetera. From my experience, the employees at Hillsdale are not as considerate, and just want to take your order as quickly as possible. Bonus points from me. As for the drink, the quality is as expected, and it is consistent between both stores I have been to. The pearl-tea ratio is good, even though it is a little overpriced. The location is nice too, as it is located on Main street, and is close to the Caltrain station which is where I came from. Overall, 4/5.

It's tasteless. I'm a bit disappointment about it. Hope you store could try to keep the good quality at all time.

The new space is pretty nice. It's a little smaller than what they had on 2nd, but there a quite a few tables. It's really close to the San Mateo Cinemark 12 theater, so you can pop in after a movie.

Really bad experience. Definitely get your boba elsewhere. All the drinks are overpriced with $2 toppings and the worse customer service. I ordered 3 mango drinks and got black tea. The barista told me thats what I ordered and suggested I order again!
