Tip: The brisket is a favorite, especially when it's soft and melt-in-your-mouth. Hot, fresh rolls are a highlight, and the staff is generally very attentive.

Met family here for lunch and it was delicious. Nice thick pieces of meat and tasty bbq sauce.
Very good as always! Fresh made rolls -wonderful! If you've never been, they come around when a batch of rolls come out of the oven and offer you some complementary to go with your meal! Yum! I got the baked potato with everything plus pulled pork on top. I can never eat it all, but good the next day as well. Look forward to next time.
Love Spring Creek. When ever we are traveling close to one we stop. Don't have anything like them in San Antonio
The place was spotless! We didn't go home smelling like we were cooking the brisket but it was still tasty. We had the rib dinner and were not disappointed! Those ribs were so meaty and tender. By the way, if you're not into carbs this is not the place for you, they have fresh, hot, soft, buttery, baked bread coming out of the oven constantly. So hard to resist. The Mckinney location has the friendliest staff.
This chain is always a good option for finding a very good meal. I had the brisket and sausage plate with green beans and Mac and cheese. She had a sliced brisket sandwich with Cole slaw and baked beans. And, of course, their excellent bread!
The food is beyond amazing! They could charge twice as much and we'd still go. Autumn made us feel very welcome, like family! Thanks, Spring Creek for the great experience, every single time.
Um, it's a chain restaurant. The brisket was dried out. The turkey did not have any smoke flavor. Beans were cold. Potato salad was good. The rolls are the best thing of the restaurant. 2 meals $38.95. Not worth it.
Took advantage of their BOGO during the weekday. Foods are great with what you have paid. Would come back again.
This was a great place to eat! Definitely well worth the drive. Staff there were incredibly nice. They all had a positive attitude and great personalities. The cook was making people laugh and smile, and cashier actually left the counter for a sec to help me carry my food to the table. Everything i ate there was really..really good. If you haven't tried it yet i strongly suggest you do.
Amanda just gave me the best customer service! Have not experienced that at a restaurant in years. She treated me like her friend and like her paycheck depended on my order. Someone at spring creek needs to take notice. She would make a great GM with her attitude. Thanks for making my day Amanda! Oh food was good too.
Food was excellent! We ordered the ribs and peppered sausage, coleslaw and potato salad. The hot dinner rolls with butter was delicious. The management and staff very cordial and welcoming. I highly recommend bringing the whole family to Spring Creek BBQ. We had a wonderful eating out experience.
I hadn’t been to Spring Creek BBQ in ages and it just sounded really good for some reason. I had the cracked black pepper sausage with okra. Sorry but I was so dang hungry I didn’t get a pic to share lol. My daughter had a sliced brisket sandwich with Mac and cheese and corn. It was very good! It was not very busy at all. The cashier was very polite and so was the gentleman that served the meat as well. We had to wait a bit to get some hot bread but that was fine. All in all an enjoyable meal! Will definitely return!
I just have no idea where I could find a better barbecue. This was wonderful.
Serviced by two young adults who were super respectful, well spoken, engaged in their work - certainly a rare find in staff these days! Good job making a huge impression through your team members. Oh, the food was great also 😉. Loaded potatoes for 6.
Hailey the manager made a bad experience to an amazing experience. The staff was wonderful everyone was smiling and as I was eating I saw how great they were with everyone that came through the line to get food. Hailey the manager was super sweet and I saw team work for sure. As a business owner that’s how Customer service is to be performed. I had a rough experience at a different location and they won me back they showed me that they do care for the customers. Food was phenomenal
Last 3 times we have been here we were very disappointed. 😒 the pintos are never done. . The Mac n cheese was barley warm and tasteless . My ham was dry, my chicken wasn't done and I didn't like the pepper sausage. We didn't even get brought more rolls. My husband went and ask if we could get more rolls. We had only the one on our plates. And no greeting either. What happened. I could sing y'all praise enough the first few times we came here. Now we won't be so quick to say how we feel this is our favorite BBQ place.
Great food EVERY TIME. If I pick up to carry out, and don’t order ice tea to have to carry out, I love that while I am waiting at the table by the carry out register, staff asks if I would like some complementary tea & even a roll to enjoy while I am waiting for my order. Love their ice tea & rolls. Also love the peach cobbler & ice cream to take home. That dessert is enough for that day, and the next day too! LOVE Spring Creek BBQ. Have been going to Spring Creek BBQ since 1981... Richardson, Garland, McKinney, Frisco are ones I can remember at age 70. 💕
The brisket, ribs and chicken here are exceptional. If you want lean cuts all you have to do is ask. The veggies are very good too especially the beans. There are friendly employees that come around with fresh hot rolls all the time too. This is the best BBQ in DFW. I've been to other places for BBQ in dfw and am always sorry I wasted the money at other places. I've been coming to Spring Creek for over 20 years and will continue to do so.
The gentleman who served us was very friendly and polite and kind. My only small complaint is that the dinner rolls used to be soft but now they are always crunchy on top I don't know if that is by Design or by overcooking? But we will be back because the food is delicious.
I go for the ribs, fries, "homemade" bread and peach cobbler! It's all set up cafeteria style, we try to limit ourselves to once a month but are weak, we often go more than that! They offer "memberships" and often enjoy their "BOGO" offers! They are a true temptation to overindulge!
The food food is good. But all their restaurants need an overhaul. Major remodeling is needed.
Josh took great care of us definitely will go back manager was wonderful as well
We always enjoy coming here. Josh always greets us with a smile and enthusiasm. I've been coming to Spring Creek for 20 years. I honestly prefer it to its competitors. The excellent customer service keeps us coming back. Special thanks to Andrea who also goes above and beyond. Josh and Andrea are fantastic employees. We have never left unhappy.
Got a coupon in the mail for two for one rib dinner, Great deal! The food was great, but the fresh baked rolls were so delicious. We'll be back again soon. I'm glad we tried it. We've eaten lots of BBQ, and this is some of the best. The peach cobbler with ice cream was our dessert.
We had son's wedding rehearsal here, and Jessica and the staff were AMAZING!!! She kept in touch for updates and was so proactive to make sure there was plenty of food for our party of 60. They were also accommodating when we were decorating and getting our slideshow ready. HIGHLY recommend this restaurant for any gathering!
The new general manager has turned this place around. She has a great staff working for her that is so friendly. I really enjoyed my interaction with Hayden and the general manager. I wish you all all the best
Ok I have heard about this place, but always rolled my eyes. When we moved here, my husband took me to EVERY smokehouse under the sun. They all tasted the same to me. This place is AWESOME ! The meat is wonderful. I asked for lean and when the teen behind the counter served my plate it wasn't very lean looking to me. They saw my face drop and asked what was wrong? I told them it did not look very lean, so they got out a new brisket. Fixed it and told me if it doesn't look lean to you it's not lean. Now that is SERVICE. Atmosphere is TX family BBQ friendly. I would give it a 10 out of 5 if I could.
Staff is very friendly and hospitable. The meat is tender and delicious. The sides are hearty and well seasoned. And they have delicious pie, pudding, and jello desserts that are reasonably priced. The interior is very comfy, so I enjoy eating here with my mom when she visits. If you're looking for that traditional BBQ joint, this is the place.
Loved the food here! The baked potato was huge and very delicious. I got the chicken plate which was so tender. The portions I was given was more than enough, so I get to enjoy this meal twice today! Definitely our new bbq spot.
Employees were knowledgeable with recommendations, courteous and attentive. Brisket and ribs were really good. Potato salad like my own. Bread is to die for. Baked potatoes are huge. Great sweet tea. This was my first visit, we will go back.
In town visiting and had to stop for some Spring Creek BBQ. Staff was great, food was delicious!
Brought my son here for dinner and was helped by the staff at 7pm....ADDY, ABBY, JASON, KENNA, HAYDEN!!! The food was amazing and everyone here is so super sweet!!! The guy at the front of the line picked what type of ribs I got and his pick was right on the money!!! Everything was amazing!!!! My son said it's even better than the other BBQ PLACE IN TOWN!
Great ribs. Be sure to sign-up on their app, you'll receive one BOGO per month in return (hint: baby back rib plates). I also received a peach cobbler with vanilla ice cream just for signing up. 😋
Always great food that hits the spot. You can't go wrong with any of their bbq meat plates with sides and fresh tableside yeast rolls. Ask for the baker all the way for a special treat. During this visit I ordered the only item I haven't tried before...southwest salad with chicken...don't judge too harshly but this was completely satisfying and provided my bbq fix. The smoked flavor of the chicken breast combined with the fresh greens and southwest elements and jalapeño ranch was the perfect lunch. I missed their bbq sauce but will be back for one of their plates or bakers and will make up for it then. No nap needed after this visit!
My first time there was Good I really enjoyed it one comment the sample presentation wasn't impressive to me when presting a sample make it the best
Them St Louis ribs always get me. The staff is always nice, and are pleasant. They will talk to you, and be friendly. Food has never been bad, but not always the freshest. But that still doesn't take away from the taste. They do a great job for a restaurant and not a TRUE BBQ place. Their St Louis ribs are to die for. They are sweet, meat falls off the bone, the sauce is fantastic. It has a nice smoke ring but nothing too over powering. Their sides are good, but their Mac and cheese to be a hit or miss. It's sometimes really good, and other times tastes too cheesy for me. Their beans are also really good (tip, to take it up a notch, add for a side of their sweet BBQ sauce and add some to the beans and stir. It's heaven in a spoon that makes you become a trumpet later on). Their jello and desserts are good too. Nothing ever seems to be off. Overall, great place. We come here if we want something that the whole family will enjoy and aren't taking a risk to getting some of that old rumble grumble, if you know what I mean.
I gotta brag about the staff that works during the week in the evenings. Every visit the customer service is amazing!! You would think with a younger staff they would be more introverted like most young adults are at other restaurants but this team goes above and beyond even remembering customers names. To the GM of this location, please take the time to recognize your staff for me. They are top notch!!
It's worth the wait. We ate at the parking lot in the truck because we have doggos but the food was good.
Sara and Josh offered the kindest smiles and the most amazing customer service I’ve ever experienced here! Thank yall so much for the dedication to being kind and accommodating
I love the service here and the food is delicious. There brisket is my favorite. Restaurant is always clean employees always walking around to help your needs.
I ate dinner here tonight with my wife and two year-old. For the first time in a very long time this restaurant experience felt like I was a guest going to dinner at a friend's house. It was a little shocking at first...not because of anything the staff was doing, but because I forgot what it felt like to be treated so warmly at a restaurant. I talked to Josh for a minute and told him the customer service was way above and beyond and he explained it's a family-owned business that wants to treat everyone like family. And they absolutely nailed it. Thanks Josh and SCB staff/management! Specific Examples: 1. Staff intercepted my wife before she could make it to the drink machine and filled up her drink for her. 2. Josh carried one of our trays to the table after we paid because he saw we were wrangling a tired and hungry toddler. 3. Manager asked multiple times if there was anything we needed. 4. Multiple staff held doors for us as we left and thanked us for coming.
I have been super hungry for ribs and just found Spring Creek BBQ today and it certainly won't be my last trip!.. The service was phenomenal, the atmosphere was relaxing and fun... In the barbecue was undoubtedly the best... Really really loved it... Thank you Spring Creek BBQ and your phenomenal service staff... You made my day ☺️
I should have asked for everyone’s name because everyone was so fantastic and sweet. It’s been years since I last came here and the food and service has vastly improved. The brisket was so soft and melt in the mouth. Ribs were fall off the bone, literally. In terms of the meat, it was much better than before. The sides were pretty okay, nothing special but the desserts all slap
Update.. Saturday October 18th 2025 approximately 4:00 .. wow wow wow. With Josh at the helm running the boat must have been the manager's day off didn't notice anyway cuz he never acknowledges me or greets anybody else he hides in the back. Lot of new faces and Josh had everybody on point.. his enthusiasm professionalism and just all around 10 star guy running this boat with a smile. Had everybody pumped like a well-oiled machine in NASCAR . He's like the Tony hawk of skateboarding, Dak Prescott of the cowboys! Dirt devinsky of the Mavericks. He's your number one asset there.the other crew had his momentum and enthusiasm professionalism. For an 18-year-old guy he's rocking .Here again thank your lucky stars that he's your team member running the show. his parents have got to be proud I'm proud of him and he's not even my son.Thank you Josh for being you always smiling polite makes me feel not just like a customer.. but like family. Ty for letting me share my outstanding experience today C Cozzo Well today you guys have earned a five-star review all the way across the board and The corporate office can think Josh ,Hunter, and I believe her name was Morgan? The young lady with the blonde ponytail in the green shirt I asked for everybody's names but I forgot the young lady's name. It's guys like Josh that keep me coming back to this establishment. That kid bust his ass he makes sure it's a food's in the containers he makes sure the new kids ringing it up on the computer right he should be the manager he needs a raise. Well the manager was standing in the corner watching how he has a job I don't know but due to your loyal five star employees that actually bust their ass and work hard and are friendly this is why I come to your restaurant. You should get on your knees and pray to God every night that you have guys like Hunter and Josh and the other one that's really good is Rocky. You better think you're lucky stars you have found some awesome employees they all need a raise!!!
I did pickup on spirit day , it was my first time at the restaurant and I was extremely impressed by the service ! The girl that greeted me to the gentleman that helped me with my order . I had my 2 sons with me and he helped me with the bags of food all the way to my car ! That was going above and beyond I will def be coming back ❤️
When you’re in TX, you should always have bbq! I was craving ribs and Spring Creek rose to the occasion. You go through a line, cafeteria style, choosing your meats and veggies. You pay at the end and seat yourself at the rustic picnic tables. The ambience was fantastic! I asked for fried okra and they whipped up a fresh batch just for me. They were “finger licking good”and the rib meat was especially tender and juicy. They also make fresh rolls continuously and serve up as many as your tummy can hold. It was a friendly and warm environment. A great experience overall.
Excellent food and service. Best experience I have had at a restaraunt in a very long time. maybe my entire life. friendly employees ready to help and to make it better, the food was delicious! They are better than hutchins. will come here every time I am craving some barbecue! i also love the country feel to this place. it’s a breath of fresh air in a world that seems to be turning so sterile.
Very tasty barbeque. Whenever we visit the area, we try to go to Spring Creek Barbeque. The meat falls apart, is so tender, and is smoked perfectly. The barbeque sauce is delicious, too, as are the hot, fresh rolls. The sides are good, too. Prices for meat with two sides (and unlimited rolls) are from about $15-$20. They also sell jars of their barbeque sauce.
I would say everything about the place is praiseworthy, with one exception. The portion size. Barbecue restaurants in general are not usually the best bang for your buck in my experience (as far as amount of food). This place seems worse than most in that regard. I spent 15 dollars on a 2 meat plate with 2 sides. It didn't even come all that close to filling me up. The food was good. I enjoyed it. Nice atmosphere, clean & friendly. Come when you're not especially hungry & get a dessert. In that scenario, you'll probably like this restaurant.
Great food!! Easy and plenty of seating even for my handicapped mother. One drawback was the smell at the dessert and roll area. The smell of something, oil, boiling water from vats to keep the cobbler warm, or something just doesn't smell good, and it's right by the exit, so it's the last thing we smell before leaving.
The food was on very good, I was very pleased in that respect. The staff was not exactly thrilled to be there... I get it, it's work and their human, but no greeting, communication, they just waited for us to order, not a big deal, but would've been nice, especially since we were one of three groups in the restaurant (before the dinner crowd, so not busy). I will go back, it was a clean environment, and my loved ones enjoyed it and that counts the most.
Spring Creek BBQ in McKinney has great Southern BBQ. They have a variety of meats: chicken, sausage and brisket. They have a variety of sides and desserts . The restaurant was clean and neat. The downside is the cost. A sliced brisket dinner which includes the meat and 2 sides is $17.95. Baby back rib dinner $19.95 and then add $2.95 for each drink. The food was great and the servings made a filling meal. Spending $65 on a meal for 3 people is not something we will do on a weekly basis.
We went in and ordered a take home meal. We were fortunate to have a young lady on her second day helping us. She got started and doing extremely well and a young male employee came over and took over. We thought she was doing great. Looked like he thought she should go faster, maybe because there were three people in line. We thought she was embarrassed by not getting to finish our take home order. She packaged the order when it was cooked to go and it was perfect. Hopefully she will continue to grown with opportunities.
Pretty good barbecue. The ribs are a but bland. I like moist brisket the best, but theirs is consistently very fatty, so I recommend getting their "blend" brisket. People there are very friendly.
From the moment I walked in the door; I was greeted with smiles and a pleasant welcoming! The food is great, meat tender, and not too salty or bland!! Lastly, Octavious sealed the deal with excellent customer service…and making sure to tell me to have a great day!!! Thanks you all, I’ll be back with the whole family to dine in next time!!!!
Had the brisket, baby back ribs, corn and beans. All solid but with the immediate competition in the area its below the standard. Ordering is easy and its not the busiest place so it was nice to be able to get in and get out. Ill try again and update if the next round is better.
Reason for 3 star. I ordered the meat combo ribs and brisket. I was handed 4 slices the size of a babies hand and 4 pieces of ribs almost no meat and paid 42 for two people. No Mac and cheese in pan (OK MAYBE 10 PICES OF MACARONI).
Don't come to the Mckinney location if they have a large event, special orders or near holidays. You simply cannot get more than the one piece of bread, which is usually like a hockey puck, as you go through the line. It's ridiculous! There is no organization and the manager is no better. We'll be looking for another location that takes care of people that are sitting there, paying with their hard earned money, to have a good meal. It's a shame when people have to demand good service. It does show that no matter how much you pay people, the service is just not any better. They should all be making minimum wage.
Always a good place to eat. Yesterday was not the best ribs were a little tough and brisket I ordered the moist and it was dry Never got fresh bread the baker was to busy talking to a guy in a black shirt. There was another kid just hanging out talking in the serving line. Not sure who was in charge but they need leadership.
Dirty tables Great Service! Young lady passed out hot rolls. Pit master knew what was up! .... he even greated everyone. Not impressed with beans but sweet tea was great!
Being sort of generous giving this place a 3 star rating. I got a sliced brisket plate with 2 sides. Half lean and half fatty, the fatty pieces were better but man tbh the stuff was dry as hell, crumbled like pot roast almost. Like definitely the sauce helped but man they should not need it to add some moisture. The flavor was overall pretty decent tho on the meat and BBQ sauce but the dryness just lost it for me. Also the Mac and cheese was dry too and the cheese sauce was very thin. The other side, coleslaw was fine but average. The saving grave with the pecan cobbler thing that was not too gummy and had a nice warmth too it.
The green beans were tasteless, the brisket was tender but dry, the coconut pie had a frozen taste to the crust, but the filling was good. The rolls were hot and fresh, but for 2 people spending $60 it was not worth it. Won't be going back.
Not really a fan of franchised BBQ. Way too many solid independent choices to select this. For those that follow me and have seen my other BBQ reviews, I was forced to come here for a corporate meeting. Brisket Meat was tough, chewy and C+ level smoke. If you want real BBQ. I’d try Bartley’s in Grapevine . Much much better.
Service was good----friendly and professional, especially with a curbside to-go order, but the potato salad was inedible. Not sure what kind of mustard they use but it was horrible. The cole slaw had no taste at all and the macaroni and cheese also wasn't very appealing. The brisket and the mild sausage were just average. Would not go back unfortunately, which is too bad because we enjoy BBQ a lot!
The person taking the order was fantastic. Very helpful. She deserves 5 stars. However when you spend $40 on take out and ask throw in a couple rolls and they want to make another ticket its stingy insulting and we won't be spending our $40+ a week at the McKinney location. Bad business over a piece of bread
This is usually a great choice for dinner, but tonight…. Not at all. We arrived at 8, a little later than normal dinner time. They gave us cold, untoasted buns for our sandwiches, there was literally almost a serving of macaroni our daughter was served, they were out of Dr. Pepper in the machine and said they weren’t refilling the machine, we had to ask for anyone to come give us a roll…. To which we still waited 10 more minutes for that. Only the young man cleaning our table as we were leaving was friendly. Literallly the ONLY one that really spoke to us at all! Not the normal experience here. Too much money for this kind of experience.
Usually the best around. Last time in, the ribs were extraordinary tough, I was only given a half cup of green beans and a single half-ear of corn. 4 ppl was nearly $80.00. I know the economy is bad but this was just bad and overpriced and under-served. Love Spring Creek. Hope you start doing better again.
My wife and I stopped in here Sunday evening for an evening dinner. The establishment was completely empty (not a good sign for a restaurant). The first complaint I have is that you should have filters on your water supply for drinks. The water tasted stagnant and that includes as a base for the fountain drinks. The ribs were flavorless and the sides tasted old. We were overwhelmingly unimpressed. Two stars because the staff including a couple of trainees were excellent. This was close to a $50 meal without tip and that is a lot of money to be unimpressed with the food.
My husband and I used to love coming here after our experience this past Saturday were done. Way over priced for the quality and quantity of food. Plus my husband and I were both sick after eating. I was charged a double plate when it was a single plate (was fixed eventually). Food was barley warm. Over all bad experience.
For $35-40 the meats are at best mediocre, sides are terrible, stuff looks like they all hate their job but are being forced to smile at the point of a gun. Get ready to get up hungry from the table too, portions are so small that by the time you cut off the burned off meat and fat, there is very little left. It's very difficult to spoil the beef, therefore 2 stars but that's a stretch.
Food was subpar. The rolls were underdone. And because we wanted to use a coupon they sent us, they got upset that we actually wanted to use it. Plus the ribs were dry. The only good thing there were the cups of BBQ sauce.
The service was good I guess. You grab a tray tell the meat cutter what you want and he gives you your meat. Repeat for the sides. Now taste test. The sausage taste like a hot dog. No flavor, other than hotdog. The brisket was tender but again 0 flavor. Good thing for BBQ sauce to give it some flavor. Even the green beans were flavor less. If you want food with zero flavor this is the perfect place.
I have been getting online meals for several weeks. Today was the first time I was very disappointed! I bought the brisket/ sausage combo. Meat was cold, and I’m only 3 minutes from them. I got back to my hotel and realized the rolls were almost flat and very hard. I couldn’t even eat them. I bought the peaches and cream and the bowl was not even full. Paid $5.95 for the dessert and didn’t even get my money’s worth!!! I wasn’t going to get back out it the heavy traffic!I’m a little ticked that I paid close to $30 today and it wasn’t worth it!!!!! If it happens again I’ll take my business elsewhere. Do Better Spring Creek in McKinney Tx!! Shame on y’all for having people pay good money for nothing!
The service is amazing. The kids are super polite. It's a great deal financially. The food lacks seasoning. The meat is cooked beautifully but the taste is not there. The Mac and cheese is so bland. The okra had no salt. You have to ask for ice to refill your drink. The bread was the best part. I liked that they had 2 typed of pickles, and the place was clean. I won't be back. There are so many other places to eat in the area.
When you eat alone, which I most often do, it’s inconvenient to have to leave your table and your food behind to go and refill your tea glass. Even though there were very few other customers inside, I hesitate to leave my food unattended. Their register defaults to a 15% tip so I would’ve expected someone to come around and offer me another roll and to fill my glass. Maybe I just expect too much.
the food is fine but the manager is beyond rude. I do not recommend planning an event here. I planned an event 3 months in advance and confirmed the calendar event before spending quite a bit of money mailing out invitations. That was 4 weeks before the event date. The day before the event I called to verify my time for the event and was told i no longer had the reservation. They had bumped me to the following day without any notice. When the manager came on the phone he was mad at me. I had a group of 25 RSVPs and there was no accommodations he could provide. I went ahead and rescheduled a few of the invitees as best I could but still had a few show up. Not o ly did the manager never even greet me or speak to me upon arrival, he rudely walked through my group 3x seating people in the tiny space I was taking up. The restaurant main dining room was not even full. This is not the first time a manager at this particular location has been rude although this man took it to new heights. I am incredibly disappointed and unfortunately have to knock this one off my list.
I literally read the comments before I ordered here!! I should of listened!! I spent 25 dollars for NOTHING!! I got the 3meat combo where the meat?? They gave me old dry brisket the ribs were dry and had no flavor. I also got sliced brisket they gave me 3 slices no longer than my pinky finger!!! The Mac and cheese dry and nasty no flavor!!! The fries was were the only thing that was half way good!!! IM SOOOOO DISAPPOINTED!!!
I have eaten here many times before and the food and rolls have been delicious. The last 2 times I have eaten here the food was very poor quality especially the brisket. The rolls were so cold they wouldn't even melt butter. Usually the bread is so hot you can barely hold to put the butter on. I had brought guests with us telling them how good this place was and all I could do was apologize. Even the lady that hands out the rolls said this what she was told to serve,. NEVER again. You have lost many customers now.
Spent $30 for 2 people for lunch. Mac & cheese was cold, as usual. asked for lean chopped brisket, was full of fat. Roll person walked past our table just as we sat down. Waited 10 minutes and asked girl behind the take out area and she said she must be around here somewhere. Rolls finally showed up 30 minutes later as we were leaving. The only time they notice you is when you are leaving, someone tells good bye from across the room. Have gone to this location for over 9 years. We will NOT be back
Edited after 2 months of not hearing back. I responded to the request like whoever below responded and yet there was no response. You make it seem like you are going to respond and make up for the issue yet here it has been radio silence since. If you value your money, do not eat at this business. I cannot speak about the other locations, but I assume it is the same across the board. Once again, it was absolute garbage. First time ordering food from this place, not sure how it is still open. First and foremost I've wanted to try this place ever since I moved to Texas. I'm glad I waited and didn't waste money on it before. I ordered a 3 meat plate, a brisket dinner, and some al a carte options. Let's start with the good? The customer service over the phone was good. I had a question about the delivery order being I couldn't figure something out online and the person answering the phone was super helpful and was great. The bread and the Carolina mustard sauce for the pulled pork were the best two things in the entire order. With as much stuff I got that's already sitting wrong with me. The bread was good warm soft bread. The sauce had a nice vinegar punch and mustard feel with a little spice. It was watery, but it was good. Moving on to the sides. Starting with the beans. Watery, overcooked, under seasoned trash. Let's move to the Mac n cheese. Watery, over cooked pasta, not creamy at all and under seasoned. The potato salad, you remember those store bought tubs have more flavor than this does. It's not terrible potato salad, but those mass produced tubs are better lol. Next side, corn on the cob, I'm sitting here expecting a full size corn on the cob, or even half, nope I got the equivalent of 2 corn nuggets from wing stop. The potato I got did look good, but I didn't try it was someone else's. Now let's move on to the meat. Starting with the chicken, I ordered a half chicken. I most certainly got half of something all right. Did you cook Cornish game hens, chopped it in half and called that half a chicken? I got two light meat halves, severely lacking in flavor and smoke, dry with rubbery skin. It was so over cooked the bones disintegrated when I pulled on the wing. Moving on to the sausage, I got half pound of both traditional and black pepper. Both were garbage. No snap, no smoke flavor, nothing special. The black pepper tasted better than the traditional but neither were that good. Moving on to the pulled pork. You would have to give me video evidence of you cooking that on a grill for me to belive it was bbq. You cooked that trash in the oven. Little to no smoke, no bark, watery mush. No flavor unless you drenched it in the Carolina sauce. Even that couldn't save the disappointment. I do pulled pork religiously. That was garbage. The brisket. You definitely had black pepper in your rub. But needed salt. Very little smoke flavor came through. I ordered the marbled and got 2 baby sized pieces of mush. Extremely thin slices. If you were to put a quarter on the table and a slice of that brisket over the top, you would still see the quarter, that's how small of a piece they were. Not length wise but you know what I mean. Now, I didn't want to come at you for this, because it antisocial looked good, but let me tell you right now, looks can be deceiving. The ribs, they looked good but let me tell you. Under seasoned, over cooked, and not properly prepared st Louis style ribs. You couldn't even remove the silver skin before cooking them. Little to no smoke, baked ribs, finished on a grill to char finish is my guess. Overall, for anyone reading this, if you want bbq, don't get it from here. Unless you want flavorless, hot garbage. You have to make your own mind up on what you order.
My husband and I ate at McKinney location on the 4th of July. I had the chopped beef sandwich which was 30% hunks of fat. My husband had the turkey and the portion size wouldn't have fed a child. The portion size of the vegetables has also been reduced. The employees were more into trying to preform a comedy routine than serving the customers. We were the only customers eating in dining room everyone else had called in orders. We used to love this place but wouldn't recommend to anyone now.
The food was old and dried out. The bun that my sandwich had been toasted way to soon like it was preped the day before. The corn on the cob was over cooked had no taste but water and mush please fix the problem
This location did not provide a great experience. Two potatoes and two drinks somehow ended up being $28, without any sides or desert. The customer service was super disappointing compared to the other locations and the potatoes were filled with half of what they usually are. The brisket was not shredded and I basically had three huge chunks of chewy brisket in my potato. I love Spring Creek, especially Chopped Bakers, but I will not be returning to this location and I would not recommend it to anyone.
The resturant was crowded, the Cole slaw was old and tasted like plain cabbage, the brisket was old, dry, and hard. It's generally not like this but it was this time. I was very disappointed. I took a family of 5 (1 was a child plate) and for $75 it should have been way better. I understand the price of beef is up which should make it more important to focus on the taste.
Very small portions, mediocre food, and way overpriced. I will never go back. $90 for 3 sodas and 3 (2) meat plates.
Not a frequent visitor but I used to come here with coworkers. Just left and the food was not great and the service was worse. I ordered the chop baker and when I went to eat it the potato was uncooked. No big deal so I take the plate up and nicely….even very quietly so other customers don’t hear say to the guy that my potato is raw. I get it things happen and I wasn’t mad at all. That is until the guy who may be the manager responds with an attitude “that’s the first time I’ve heard that”. Walks past me and tells another employee to basically deal with me. The kid was super sweet, grabs my plate and proceeds to poke the potato. Fine i don’t care. The kid agrees and tells the manager yea it’s completely uncooked but we are out of potatoes. The manager gives him the worst look and mumbles something to him that clearly meant to give me something else. I’m not a huge fan of this restaurant so I just panic and say a chopped sandwich with two random sides is fine. Mac and coleslaw were really blan and the brisket was basically chopped pieces of fat. Husbands sliced sandwich was the same and my baby only had the Mac. I can get past the food mishap but I can’t get past the service or the way the manager treated his employees. Not a fan of that behavior.
The GM of this location, does not act very professional….especially with the customers. Today, I overheard him telling a customer that if they wanted take out they had to go to the other line. They said why can’t you just put it in the take out containers. He was not very helpful with keeping the customer happy. The customer seemed to be very upset and wanted his name and corporate number. I have been to this location many times, and the times the GM is working…there seems to almost always be a customer complaint. I don’t think this guy is a good fit for this location.
Always out of food of some sort (ribs) unless you get there about 7pm this has happened multiple times times Management refuses to ranger games or other teams unless its on free tv. This is not the place to relax with friends catch maybe a sporting event that a texas team is playing.
Terrible first experience. Got through the line to get my food, paid, got a notification saying I paid. Sat down, not 30 seconds later an employee comes to my table and said that I did not pay. I showed them where I paid and she went to find the manager. Manager came over and told me I did not pay I showed him where I paid he said that I would have to pay AGAIN if i wanted to eat there.... being my first time here I assumed there was a problem and I tried to go pay. At this point the manager began helping other customers while my food is sitting there getting cold. Another employee offers to take me on another register and he told her no. Dont even bother coming here... disrespectful and negligent.. I was wondering how they could be so dead at noon, but now I guess I know... even if it somehow magically didnt go through on their end, this was handled poorly.
I can't believe what has changed. I have been ordering food many times, but today I had a very bad experience. I went home, took the food, and when I opened the box, I was ready to eat. As you can see in the attached picture, the BBQ sauce container looks like it has been used. It has stains all the way to the top, and the actual quantity is only at the bottom of the bowl. I'm not concerned about the quantity itself, but the container looks like it has been reused. I can't believe this is the current quality. I am really disappointed and I don't want to drive another 15 minutes to ask for a replacement. Hopefully, someone will see this and do something about it. It’s not about thanking me for my review. As you can see from the attached image, this is what I had. Please pay attention to the appearance of the sauce container.
Order a baked potato all the way via the Uber Eats app. I get the potato and there is not one ounce of sour cream on the potato and there is maybe one pad of butter and that’s being generous. I’m not a happy customer so I call up there and a guy answers the phone and proceeds to tell me that there is sour cream at the bottom of the potato. Total BS you can see the photographic evidence for yourself. When I tell him he is mistaken he hangs up one me. How is that for customer service? If he doesn’t like being told he is wrong then he needs to make sure he can follow instructions and make it the way the customer wants it or supervise his employees better. Either way he is incompetent. Maybe he was trying to be employee of the month by saving the company money…”if I don’t add sour cream to this potato that will save 50 cents, if I only add half a pad of butter to this potato that’s another 25 cents, if I fill the cup with ice I will save 15 cents on the tea. That’s .90 cents if I keep this up I may get a 5 cent raise.” Ugh…it was literally the driest and worst potato I have ever eaten. That 17 dollars down the drain because I took 2 bites and trashed it. To whoever made my potato you did a terrible job. FYI you don’t own the butter and sour cream.
