Great experience! Very friendly staff, setting is nice (terrace on a nice square / park). We lives everything: mexican with a twist, some good veggie options too. Fresh, well seasoned and good looking too. The Basil Frozen cocktail is heaven! Would definitely go back. On the pricier side for Mexico, but worth it!

We came here last night for a birthday dinner and the food was sublime! The highlights were the Duck Guacamole, the melt in the mouth Fried Cauliflower (wow!) and Eggplant (Berenjenas) and the Risottos (both the Vegetarian and the Seafood versions). All of these are highly recommended. We were lucky to have timed our dinner reservation with a MeridaFest concert taking place in the park, so we had a front row seat to the show. And I’m still thinking about the Mezcalitas and the cheesecake dessert. This was one of my favorite dining experiences during my month in Merida!

Had a good lunch at Rosa Sur ; we ordered guacamole to share and then 2 mains recommended by the waiter; everything was very good and portions generous. Expensive but good restaurant in Merida!

Hidden gem in the city center of Merida! The food really is exceptional, we especially recommend trying the shrimp risotto or any of their other pastas. The service was so friendly and relaxed, the owner was such a great host as he even offered us a free dessert on the house, exceptional service! The location is also cute as it's at a Quaint square in the city center, can highly recommend visiting this restaurant!

Ok, just look at the pictures, Rosa Sur 32 is worth every second. It is fantastic here. The service is perfect, it has a very nice atmosphere a little removed from the street. The food was absolutely amazing. We had a selection of the hot cakes, the vegetarian sandwich, eggs benedict, and the mixed sandwiches. I can firmly tell you, that you will be satisfied with any of these. As my recommendation, take the green juice and the Café de la olla. Overall great experience.

Located in Santa Lucia Square. Seating indoors and outside but limited and inside is not air conditioned. We had dinner, lunch and drinks on 3 separate occasions during our visit in January 2026. Loved the Ensalata con Atun! Fresh tuna and a great portion for lunch. Margaritas were very delicious. Alejandro was our server on all occasions and was fluent in English and very engaging. The one night, tables and service was extended into the Square so we could sit and enjoy the nighttime entertainment. Highly recommended.

Very nice location and friendly service. Unfortunately, the food was rather average. I had the vegetarian bagel. Way too oily and the bread was hardly chewable. Same issue with the bread in other dishes. The salad was really fresh and delicious though. The lemonade was great as well

Good and friendly service, however a bit slow. The prices were great for the taste of the dishes and the size of the portions. The indoor seating was ok but it was nice to have a/c. Tasty cocktails. Loved the guacamole with longaniza. Beer pork ribs were delicious, the mashed potatoes were a bit dry though. The shrimp enchiladas were original and tasty. Nice chocolate and berries dessert. Overall, a good option for lunch or dinner in Merida.

Very nice breakfast place. Food is good and the service is friendly. The absolute star of the breakfast menu is the "green juice" though. We went through the first one so quickly, we had to order another. It is tasty, full of great ingredients, and rich (nothing watered down). The breakfast portions are big, so you won't leave hungry. What would really lift Rosa Sur 32 to the next level is their coffee-game; their cappuccinos are straight from a machine and that is glaringly obvious. With a nice barista, this place could really shine :).

Rather disappointing experience to be honest. The prices are significantly above the local average and there is no justification for that at all. The service was neither attentive nor really friendly. Nothing in comparison to all the heartwarming restaurants we’ve experienced on our journey. This restaurant was also the only place I’ve been in Mexico so far where there haven’t been any kind like small starters on the house like a handful of tortilla chips for example. My main dish was fine although a bit pricey , my partners dish was already quite cold when it arrived. To summarise: there are so many great restaurants to visit in this area, so no need to visit Rosa Sur.
