I Love Chicken Express and so does my baby fur girl. When my hubby was still alive (as well with my momma fur baby girl) I would always have to bring Chicken Express home for them and the funny thing is those two fur babies could always tell when I did bring it home and would go crazy waiting for me to plate their food up. Now if I was going to bring home chicken from any other chicken place they just looked at me like I was punishing them... lol. The food was Amazing, hot and my order is always correct.

I ordered a kids size chicken tender combo w fried okra, a roll, and a Dr Pepper, and it was enough food for a quick, on-the-go lunch. I went through the drive-through, and the marquee and microphone worked fine, with a friendly voice on the speaker.
Never disappointed here. I absolutely love the ability to pick your choice of cut on the 2 and three piece meals only place I know of to get three breasts and a roll/biscuit a side and a drink for in the ballpark of just over $10. And the food itself is very delicious for the price. (:
Wow, here I thought I'll grab something to eat because im in a hurry to go do nothing at home. My belief was customer service was gone from most places you eat fast food. I was completely wrong. LaKoya (sorry if it was misspelled) she was so wonderful, a perfect example of how to talk to customers. The entire staff was GREAT, food was hot, corn on the cob was so tender and everything was so fantastic. I really appreciate customer service just because I've been in customer service my work career and LaKoya, you have a wonderful gift, thank you!!
The moment you walk in the door you know you're going to eat some of the best chicken you've ever had. I haven't had chicken this good since my Granny passed.
I had came to get some livers, and I was actually very impressed with the new management. The young lady and young man both were awesome. Hailey and jesus I believe are the names. The place has definitely come up since new management
The food was very fresh. Although I had to wait a little longer it was much worth it. The manager Haley was very king and attentive , she even gave me an apple pie for the wait, and the wait wasn’t a problem at all. She made my experience great, and I have had problems with this chicken express in the past. I will definitely be back. Thank you Haley, the food wasWONDERFUL!!!
I want to let you know that Kenya took great care of me. She stopped what she was working on immediately when I stepped up to the register and took my order precisely within one minute. By the time that I had paid and got my drink my food was ready. Everything was hot and freshly cooked. A few of my 4 piece chicken strips were a little small but I was given 6 to make it the correct portion. Apparently there was some confusion regarding a previous customer's order, and to make it right the manager gave him a free apple pie. At that point I was the only other customer present so he decided to give me a free pie too, just in case I had any issues. I did not. Everything was perfect, and I appreciate the oustanding service from Kenya and the manager. Thank you for all of your hard work and attention to detail!
Drive thru order. Chicken tenders were big, and hot, and they tasted good. I just wish the prices weren't so high for family.

Had requested to dine-in when order was placed. Chicken was excellent also the rolls and sweet tea. French fries and okra we're warm,not hot. I was given my order in a brown paper bag and not trays. Overall this is my favorite Chicken Express.
Great comfort food! I discovered they have livers, and they were very good. I hesitated ordering them because everywhere else they are hard and too crusty. At Chicken Express, they are near perfect. You can actually bite into a soft nice size liver with a tasty flavor. It is now my go to place for livers... who needs the onions! Don't forget the gravy and wonderful rolls. Uh oh, I am heading that way now!
At first I was about to walk out because the floor was a disaster behind the counter but the two young girls swept it up as they played around. No problem, they must of gotten busy and no harm having a lil fun to pass time. Ordered two #5's, everything came out hot and fresh except the gravy was cold. Idk what happened but it was a bit disappointing, however, I got over it. The crowd seem to be waiting on food but no angry faces just couples waiting to eat. I'll try it out again with hopes of hot gravy
Although there was a banner saying Under New Management, it took well over 10 mins to get 2 Four Piece Meals, it appeared that they were under staffed, as there were one 3 high school student running the restaurant. They were doing there best, however it was clear that they were under manned.
The food was good and fresh. Although their fries are a little salty, there’s still better than most places that sell tenders. Their sweet teais always a hit. I would give five stars but the Customer Service skills definitely need to be worked on. Although no one was rude but when you asked for something, they shake their head yes or no when you say thank you they don’t say anything which I feel like they supposed to addressed those things with words, not gestures.

Isolated event or repetitive abuse? It is not the first time my special becomes very expensive. Always check your order and if 1+1 is not 2, you may have an inexperienced cashier or someone that is really cleaver. The food is always awesome but today's service left a bad taste in my mouth. However, I will go to the Davis Street location next time. They have earned my continuous business.
Terrible service tonight at Town East. It was a bunch of kids running around not even in uniforms. We ordered a family meal with corn nuggets, mashed potatoes, green beans and five drinks. We asked for plates, plastic wear, napkins, serendipity spice and ketchup because we were headed to a picnic. We received two watered down Dr Peppers that were undrinkable, cold fries instead of corn nuggets, no ketchup, no serendipity spice, no plastic wear or napkins. It was not worth ruining what little sunlight we had left to drive back up there and get them to correct the order. The rest of the food was good and of the quality we expect from Chicken Express. This is not what I expected from the Mesquite location.
Wife favorite place I enjoy it at as well. Last couple of visits the gizzards would have one or two bitter ones that totally spoil your appetite I no longer order them from here but the chicken and sweet tea is some of the best
Just left this place. Great food. Cashier needs major improvement in her people skills and all around attitude. She would be better off in another line of work. Almost left without eating but my daughters love chicken express. Whoever is in charge should look into replacing this person with another more personable one.
The service is always long and the associates are very forgetful i get It’s a fast food restaurant but forgetting people orders and having them come back because the person failed to make sure the order was correct is very inconvenient especially after waiting so long in line my only complaint other than that i love The spicy tenders just need better service 🤷🏽♀️ HATE THE LONG UNNECESSARY LINE!!! you will wait in line over 15 minutes just for a sweet tea
Waited a while for the food (just sides!) Either they were always being generous with me all the previous times when I got regular sized sides , but this time I only got 2 cheese sticks and 3 poppers. When asked was this the normal amount (cause again, I usually get more) they just looked at us confused or as if they didn’t understand the question. I was upset we waited so long for something so small. Had they told us it’ll be a wait , cool! Or let us decide if we want to wait, but they didn’t say nothing. I tried calling the store to speak w/ a manager because we had to go, but no answer
Great food, but they literally keep the doors locked even during business hours. 10:30 opening time? It's noon and they're locked up, and not answering at the drive through either. From the door, you can see people working inside, they just don't want to actually help customers I guess. If you can actually ever get service, the corn nuggets and fried okra are fantastic.
Ok so they were good and took care of me a bit but the gravy that was supposed to come with it.....was not their. So I spend 50 dollars on food and don't get what I'm supposed to get. It seems like this with all the chicken express locations. Weather I go and get it or order delivery. It's never right. Best thin is I don't look at my order because I will throw the entire thing at the manager literally and physically. You need to do better on your service!
I wasn't satisfied the first time that I went, so I decided to give it another chance. Huge mistake! I had the gizzards, and they were all clumped together and not cooked properly. Some of the batter was doughy, and the gizzards were undercooked. I threw the food away. Positive note, the customer service is excellent.
Service was great Chicken was slightly burned. Never ever in all the years since that was in Mesquite have I received slightly burned chicken. Voice on reciever was kind and caring and the same with the window service. I liked the rolls you use to offer these weren't so good a lille hard.
Food is good but the service of these kids they are hiring is terrible. I waited 20 minutes in line for four tenders and a drink. The line of cars behind me got their food long before me. As I pull up to the window to ask where my food was the guy who took my order said he forgot me! I counted 6 people standing around talking to each other. So not understaffed. Please train them better!
Waited in the drive thru for 20 min and only one car moved forward within that time. Tried going inside to see if it was faster, waited another 5 min without anyone even being at the counter to take orders and left. I will say the 4 people they had in there looked to be working hard but it was obviously not enough staff to support lunch rush.
No were near as good as they used to be. The tenders we got were the size if chicken nuggets. The tea was overly sweet I was able to make 3 seperate cups of tea from it after diluting it. The service was really good though and the staff are very nice.
Food was hard and pricey and small portions for high price , may not return
I visited today and their 3 Piece special was perfectly cooked along with the side. The cashier was friendly and the lady frying the chicken who I believe is the manager is always nice to me and says hello when she sees me. Today’s meal was great! Thanks.
Extremely slow. Waited in drive thru to order. No other cars in front or at the window. Only 2 vehicles in parking lot. The cashier asked me to hold. 5 minutes later we left. Not even busy and still slow. Went across the street to FASTER options for fast food. New management isn’t making a difference it seems
Heading thru the drive around back at 7pm, and the entire male staff was out back on "break" the only 2 female staff members inside one had blonde hair and the one that took my order said they were out of drums, I asked for a wing instead she told me yep no problem. After paying and checking my meal to realize my order was incorrect. I circle around and the male staff outback ask me if anything was wrong. And I told them my order was wrong. The female that took my order came out the back door to tell my self and the vehicle in front of me "we are out of chicken. We only have breasts... um thighs, anddd... 1 wang... how is a chicken establishment out of chicken at 7pm
This place is gone down hill, I had to go in because line wasn’t moving, no one gets in a hurry , rude, like they don’t care of you are there , took there time for just a large mashed potato and half dozen rolls, one girl was wiping her nose by the chicken with no gloves , thank god I was in there to watch them with my food!! These you g kids don’t care about anything just lazy , the manger worthless!! Never again! Get it together! You are serving people period !
man this place is garbage. slowest “ fast food “ place i EVER been to. not to mention they run out of everything ( rolls, tea, machine not working) STAY AWAY from this location
been twice, got horrible service twice, managed to get food once. a complete embarrassment of an establishment. go anywhere else. stay home.
Okay so, this happened almost a week ago. However, the incident is still fresh in my mind. My husband and I ordered chicken tenders. While waiting in the drive thru, one employee (light skinned chick red hair top knot bun) came out of the restaurant, stared directly at us through the car, came around the back and into the restaurant. We are an interracial couple so, I'm assuming she thought we were mythical creatures. She literally only came out to stare at us. It was very unusual and uncomfortable. We didn't even eat the tenders it was such a terrible experience.
We stopped the other day to go in and eat. We came in it smelled horrible and was extremely dirty! Restrooms were god awful! We turned right around and left. Very very disappointed in the upkeep of this location! I used to work at chicken express when I was a teen. Definitely wouldn’t recommend eating there ever!!! Will never go back. If I could give negative stars I would.
I have been coming to this location almost 20 years the 2 lane has always been a tea lane. Twice this week I sit in the 2nd lane for 15 min and no one said anything to me. Today I walked in ordered my tea after waiting in the lane for 15 min.i asked for a manager and this guy came to the front to help another lady who got the wrong order. When he was done I asked him if he was the manager and he said yes. I asked him if the tea lane is still a tea lane. The response I got "yea they just aren't paying attention we are all running everywhere right now. As you see I washing dish pointing at the apron. " first off I understand being short staff however that should not have been his response as the manager he should have stated he is going to fix the problem in the future. Instead this management makes excuses for people dancing around on the inside and ignoring the customer waiting for service.
Wish I had gone somewhere else. Spent $40 on unseasoned chicken and cold sides. One lady was taking my order and a younger lady came in from outside and finished taking my order so she could go to bathroom. (No biggie) They kitchen was dirty, dark water on the floor, and I'm not even sure if anyone washed their hands.
Worst Chicken express I've been too. Wait my entire lunch hour just to get my food. The employees are to busying playing on their phone then to do their job. When I finally received my food, it was cold and unbeatable. 10/10 would not recommend this store to anyone
We waited in the drive through 45 minutes to get our food. We got no condiments or no silverware. My husband had to go back in and they gave him a fork to eat mashed potatoes!!!! The food is not seasoned at all. This is the worst Chicken Express experience EVER!!!
Made us wait for livers. Hot everything cold but livers. Chicken tenders. Cold. Fries not even cooked all the way. Yall act like ur job is so hard to make food
Horrible service Waited in the drive thru for 15 minutes to get the order taken. Seems they didn’t have any food cooked and ready to serve. It was 15 minute wait to get biscuits with our tender meals. Will not be back
We have gone maybe twice in the last 6 months because the service has certainly gone down hill. The woman we encountered tonight was rude and the food was poorly packed. We drove a few feet away and parked just to make sure we had napkins and straws and the lid on the gravy wasnt closed. We ordered rolls and they were all flattened. I'm not sure what's gotten into the hiring manager but quality work is not what they've had here of late. I sure hope they turn it around.
Went through drive through for my order and it came back completely wrong. When calling they told me that all I had to do was bring my receipt back the next day. Upon calling the next day. I was told that they are unable to process my order due to not having the food with my receipt. They have young ppl working and they don't listen. I'm pissed I can't get my money back on a order that was COMPLETLY WRONG from jump.
I ordered a 7 piece tenders and asked them if they were cooking some fresh because there was nothing but small pieces left in the tray. She said yes and told the girl to wait on the fresh ones for me. I sat down at a booth on the side and waited ( I couldn’t see the front so in a few minutes I moved to a booth in front). I saw they had a box open that they were fixing and they put okra in it which I ordered. Got home and had two hot tenders and the rest of the box was small nugget size cold hard chicken pieces. I even asked the girl when I was leaving if she gave me the fresh chicken and she said yes. I will not be back!!!!!
CONCERNS: I witnessed the employees making their sweet tea in a Lowes Paint bucket on the floor. Th location looks dirty and needs a cosmetic update. The interior usually has boxes stacked on the tables. It looks like a UPS factory. The exterior doesn't look appealing especially compared to the surrounding retail area. It's almost always a long wait. The employees dress code isn't uniformed so any random person could walk up to your car and you couldn't tell the difference. One employee even had on croc shoes (may be unsafe and unsanitary). The temperature and quality of food is suffering tremendously and the prices does not match the food that's being served. No complaints with employee customer service but the owner/corporate should get to some revisions on this location quickly. They'll end up like Boston Market down the street from them.
Update 7-12-24 Even when I go into the store. There is an issue. Therefore I will stop patronizing this location which is less than 10 minutes from my house. And drive another 10 to 15 to Garland. Every time I go through their drive through the inevitably get SOMETHING wrong. They forget or add something gravy, napkins, side, ice, sauce etc. So you go back up there for correction without apology for their mistakes. Until I can go inside and watch my order being prepared, Chicken Express can kick bricks.
I ordered from this location for the first time in a year. Food took a wile for chicken tenders and i ordered the jalapeño bombers. When the food came out i asked for ranch and i was told its an extra charge they do not give out ranch with any order. Will not come back to this location. All the other locations i have been to get dipping sauce free.
Don't waste your time to order at this location. I was at the the drive thur, and never seen slow service. They have a banner saying under new management in front of building. That real horrible service for new management
Worst customer service. I asked for extra crispy okra and was told it was crispy enough, I told her I wanted it cooked a little bit longer, I then asked for hot sauce packet and was handed 2 and was told there was no more. The cashier has horrible customer service skills....I'm sitting here making this review at the time I was here. I will never come back to this location....The place is unkept and trashy from dining room to the bathroom...The Town East Location Mesquite, TX ...3/10/2019 3:12pm..ticket has 2:12pm...if I could give a ZERO star I would!!!
OK I’m redoing my post. This is strike three and I’m never going back. Waited in line 20 minutes for cold food with no taste and they forgot my family size stuffed peppers so I go back and they say the manager said we’re out shaking my head. Good luck guys, obviously the owner doesn’t care! !!!! he will regret it when he closes down because of no business
I am sick of giving this chicken express chance after chance. Today was my last day being served cold hard rubber chicken tenders and cold gravy. This is hands down the absolute worst Chicken Express in the DFW. Please take my advice the food is served nasty and cold, I have tried them multiple times. I just can’t take it any more. I will never give them another dime. I recommend Canes just a bit further down the street. I am very disappointed. And all the reviews are the same.
There was all young kids working. They were cussing and eating and drinking so had to wait 15 minutes to even pay for my food because the guy that took my order never came back. I had to ask someone else where he was, it took them 8 minutes to find him. Then it was another 10 minutes for food that wasn’t even fresh. No one was in uniforms they were sagging and everything. 100% would never come to this location again.
This place is even worse now then it was with all those little kids working. Got my 2 number 1s like usual gave me 2 strips in each and no gravy. Ordered an extra gravy and no gravy. Please pay someone better to run that place. I waited 45 min for food that was not even correct.
Terrible service. The food was terrible. I waited for 30 minutes before I even got to the window. Still waited another 20 minutes before I got my food and I knew my food was going to be fresh as long I waited. I got home my chicken tenders no seasoning and they were not fresh. Only thing that was fresh was the french fries and when I got to the window she didn't even apologize for the wait she act as if she did not care. But I blame this on management. We need to coach these people.
Really late review but me and my fiance ended up getting food poisoning from this location the last time we went. Before that, our food was messed up several times, and one time we didn't get one of our meals and the teenagers working there said we were lying even though we never even left the drive through with the food. While waiting in the huge line, they also think being on their phones is more important than helping all the customers waiting in line. It's impossible to get ahold of a manager or corporate so we gladly drive to other locations to get better service. Note sure what happened but this location used to be awesome. Really sad that it's gone downhill.
We were made to wait 20 minutes so we could get all dark meat and after getting home found we got almost all white meat. Tasted too salty and we didn't get any gravy. Corporate has no complaint system so don't bother if you get bad service. I guess there's a reason why the building is hidden away.
This location has fallen badly. Waited over 20 minutes in the drive thru to place my order, was handed the incorrect order, had to remind them what I had ordered multiple times, and was given drinks without ice. Severe lack of urgency from the workers and lack of focus. Best to visit other options.
Went there to order the 6 piece chicken liver meal. The employee took my order then came out to take my payment. After waiting in line several minutes I get to the window and she tried to give me the wrong order. I was told to pull up. Again a long wait. Normally I don’t mind waiting on fresh cooked food but the wait was ridiculous. When I get home I find the 6 smallest hardest chicken livers I’ve ever seen. All that waiting for that trash. I can’t wait until they rebuild Williams Chicken…
This is the worst Chicken Express I have ever been to. Workers are rude, and hateful, they act as though they have no idea what is going on. 35 minute wait for 2 orders of chicken livers and ice tea, and they still messed up the orders, they said they were waiting on French fries. I have been to numerous other Chicken Express and never waited more than 10 -15 minutes to get my complete order. I will never go back to this establishment again. Terrible customer service.
The worst chicken express... you get a 3 piece, pay for an extra breast get only 2 pieces, ask for mashed potatoes no gravy and you get only gravy no potatoes. How hard is it to put food in boxes. Then you call to speak to a manager and no one answers.. so glad I wasted money so my co worker and I can't have what we wanted in our short lunch break...
The last two times I have picked up food it's been awful. The jalapeno poppers was crest no cheese they cooked them too lond and the chicken was burnt. First time I figured everyone has a off day. When it happened again I decided I will find some place else to get chicken
We ordered mac&cheese and was told “ we don’t have mac&cheese” we then said yes your menu has mac&cheese on it so why don’t yall have any? The little girl taking the order than saids “umm we don’t have it, you can order something else”. Rude service and food was almost burnt and they almost forgot our drinks… 😡😡

On 10/20/24 @ 1pm we went to the Mesquite location. This location we always have issues. Today, despite the 20ft banner on the side of the building "under new management" was no exception. It was obvious that the young lady working the window didn't want to be at work today and our order suffered because of it. Missing paid for items and the drink order was completly wrong. My wife went inside to get the order corrected and was treated like it was her fault. Do yourself a favor and drive to the Garland location off of 635 or go to KFC...
This place is the worst one. I swear I ordered through the drive-through. I wanted a large order of corn on the cob. The girl at the speaker said they didn’t have any. They only had two so I told her I’ll take two when My I was missing the sticks for the corn. I asked her for some. She said we out of them we’ve been out of those four months worse service ever.
They never have chicken, the server are rude. The doors are always locked. If I could give a zero I would.Not just sometimes, always.
We went in and order they stay 15 minutes for the chicken. The young lady that was the manager apologized and said she would give us extra items we said ok. We still waited the guys that work there was dirty they walk in without washing their hands . They need adults working there that can supervise these kids .
This is the worst location I have been to. The mashed potato was really dry and was lumpy. The chicken was hard. It might have been from the day before, service was OK, just the food was horrible. For 50 dollars, it should taste good, at least.
My order was incomplete and the service time is more like a restaurant than a fast food , the old white man that worked at 9:42pm 07/18/2025 so slow he held up the line twice for about 15 minutes my food was already cold
Used to go to this Chicken Express all the time. After today, we will not be going back. Chicken Express is our go to because my husband gets military discount and this location used to be extremely nice and really accommodating to their customers, which is why it was our favorite. Today, my husband sat in line for 30mins during a rainstorm after ordering and the five cars behind him got their food first. They were highly discriminatory and we only ordered two orders of livers and a single order of tenders. Three of the cars behind us had a ton of drinks and huge family orders. None of the workers used gloves while handling the food this time either and the only thing they bothered to discount this time was the gravy. I am extremely disappointed by this treatment today. We've been coming here for the past 4 years any time we wanted a chicken fix. Now we'll be taking our business elsewhere.
Placed order through drive thru. Mashed potatoes was undercooked given to us cold. We tried to return the mashed potatoes but was told that we had return our entire meal and then received another mashed potato that was cold again. The manager told my husband that nobody else was complaining, so he would have to return the whole meal. Also, an employee was asking her what is it now, as If we weren’t suppose to complain about the mashed potatoes being cold. Very rude customer service and witnessed her talking to Hispanic employees rude pointing out that they should be reading the screen. Poor management even though there is a sign outdoors that says under new management.
Chicken Express @ Mesquite!? Why do you’ll have these young kids without supervision work at this establishment, They don’t like there job, BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE.. Especially the young African-American lady that work the Closing shift on 5/24 Saturday night. Let me tell My Story: Me & My Fiancé arrived at Chicken Express at 9:30 PM. Keep in mind they close at 10pm, We pull up in the line waited for like five to 8 minutes. We noticed it were more workers in there, However the young lady proceeded to tell us that their close and they will not be taking no more orders at 9:30pm. It’s only for pick up orders ONLY! Which is understandable to a certain extent because they should let the customers know, that be consider to be false advertisement. However, Me & My fiancé Only came to Chicken Express too get 2 Gallons of sweet tea, because thats Our usual. She went on to tell us that it wasn’t any more gallons of sweet tea. We pulled around to the front to leave and noticed that the refrigerator in the front lobby was full with sweet tea. That’s was one thing.. Secondly, I call & the lil rule young lady answered “ I asked her what time did they close? She proceeded to let me know that they close at 10o’clock & you know we won’t be taking no more orders. I said OK can I get your name? She hang up in my face, very quickly. I tried calling back got No response.. Where is there Supervisor? Does that Allow, this or does pay attention to there employees. Me as the people love Chicken Express, But not the ones with bad customer service, scared they may do something to my food.. I prefer to just stop at the location near Royal Lane near 75, great customer service.. I just had high expectations been that’s it in Mesquite near my home.. I’m naturally optimistic, don’t like to speak negatively. However, they keep with this behavior up this Chicken Express will loss lots of money, or go out of business at this location, if they don’t get no one that actually want to work with wonderful customer service. This location need to hire a mature ready to work individually that’s 35 yrs of age and up.. Those teenagers need supervision, & If the supervisor was that, they mostly definitely need More training ASAP.. Who is the Manager Here at this Location ???????
They don't hv fish here but in Garland...??? Yet Garland closes at 9pm not 10pm like everyone else.
Worst location ever!! Just shut the location down already.2 times in a row going there and no food.1st time stayed at the speaker and nobody came but the girl was inside cleaning up.2nd time they out of fried pickles and gizzards talking bout they waiting on a truck.then said they only have spicy tenders.close this location and put something else in its place..smh.
I recently visited this location in mesquite on North Town East. I place an order o. 9/29/24 at 159pm I ordered a 3 PC combo 2 legs and a thigh. Corn nuggets and green beans and sweet tea. After paying they mentioned all they had was thighs I said it was fine. Then came back and said all they had was 2 thighs and it would be 15 minutes wait time. I've already been waiting 10 minutes. I accepted a substitute (fried pickles) I received my food. HOT grease spilled out the box. Burning my skin because it went through my pants. I get home to open my box. No corn fritters and the fried pickles are too hot touch and has grease sitting in the bag. Still hot from the fryer. I thought this place was under new management? I am concerned for my safety and others. This was about 1/4 of a cup of oil in my food on top of missing food and the substitute being inedible because it's soak in oil.
I will never in this life, buy anything from this chicken express, Went to buy some chicken, these folks gave me, old crusty chicken...I'm thinking it just crispy, got home, its all hot and its chicken from 2 days ago, they just put it in some hot oil....and because I didn't wan't to drive way back over there that day, I spoke with a Mgr told her what happened and told me to come and get a refund, well it poured down yesterday, wasn't going to get in a flood, call today, the other Mgr said, she can replace it, I started not to get anything from them...Towneast area....I don't trust yah business so ill never do business with this company, had it all dark in there, no one was in line, I was the only customer and they served me chicken like that.....not a trustworthy place to eat...you need to be reported.
I need to know where a store is that actually cooks & sells chicken.... All you can get at the Mesquite Tx store is the EXCUSE.... NO CHICKEN.... ONLY CHICKEN TENDERS ! & the order has a 90% chance of being WRONG....75% of the time !
Menu needs to be updated can barely read it,food quality and price don't match.Customer service was by far the worst I experience and this was by a manager,she was rude and very unprofessional.All because I spoke up for a elderly man that they was trying to over charge and he was a regular customer and it was my first time at that Chicken Express.I watch the manager put back a order of tenders with the fresh tenders and then threw the box in the trash.
Waited 20 min in line, got ignored. Made it to the window, and an older Hispanic lady told me and my daughter that we didn’t order at sign and wanted us to go back through the entire line, just to order some cheese sticks. The younger Hispanic male behind her heard her being rude and came took my order. Super racist, will be letting corporate know.
This place is empty for a reason... I walk in minded my own business with my brother whistling after 5 whole minutes of waiting to get served i was refused service because "my whistling was rude". Then they proceeded to call the police saying was a trespasser the assistant manager will name was Paris and supposed general manager was a white lady with black shirt and who didn't have a name tag or didn't want to disclose her name but also expressed herself as "not a lady ".
Without a doubt, the worst fried chicken I've ever had. Granted I went in at 2:30 in the afternoon, but you shouldn't be serving food that's been sitting under the heat lamp for longer than a specified time. The chicken breast was very dry and very tough, even the thigh was dry, don't think I've ever had a thigh that was dry. The worst part was I had called in an order of livers about 10 min before I had got there so they would be fresh and ready, the livers were inedible, dry and over cooked. I don't think they were cooked fresh, but leftover. All of the chicken and especially the livers had a burnt flavor that I believe was due to the oil they were cooked in, tasted like they should've changed the oil days or weeks ago. I'll never go back to this location; the ones closet to my home have always been good.
My Husband place the order online and I went to go pick it up. As I was checking if I had everything. The gravy for the mashed potatoes went all over the bag. I even told the girl behind the counter and she didn’t say anything or didn’t offer to get me another bag. She just gave me attitude. We haven’t been to this location in a long time and my last.
This place has declined in quality of food & customer service. They consistently tell you they're out of food items even when they're not. Recently placed an order & the food tasted very bitter & old. It was a waste of money because we ended up throwing the food away. Sadly, it will go out of business just as th e other one did.
I was very disappointed with my recent experience. I arrived at 9:40 PM, and the doors were open, so I walked in to place an order. After approaching the counter, I was told that the store was closed—even though your listed hours online state that you close at 10 PM. It was confusing and frustrating to be let in only to be turned away. I hope this can be addressed to prevent similar experiences in the future.
I usually enjoy Chicken Express, but this location left me with a really bad experience. When my boyfriend and I ordered, the manager didn’t give us the option of dine-in or take-out and just prepared our food to-go. At other locations, like in Arlington, they don’t mind if you sit and eat even if the food is packaged to-go, so we thought it would be fine to do the same here. While we were eating, the manager started talking to other customers and said loudly, “There are some people who take their food to-go and are still eating here.” She was clearly talking about us, which felt embarrassing and unprofessional. When I politely asked her name and why she said that, she accused me of being rude — in front of the same customers she was chatting with. Both my boyfriend and I have worked in food service, and we’ve always treated customers with respect. I never expected a manager to behave this way. This experience left a very negative impression, and I truly hope this location improves how they treat their guests.
It's 1:35 pm and the doors are locked to the lobby! My vehicle is too large for the drive through. No signs on the door either. Good job guys.
