Recensioni di Cracker Barrel Mesquite
It was busy- but that didn’t stop our server, Rome, from giving us top tier customer service and our order coming out just right! Can’t beat that. 🙌
I'm glad that they kept it the old way. The food is great, the environment is awesome, and the staff is really friendly.
Always have a great time when we go to Cracker Barrel. Great food selection, good portion for the amount paid, the right temperature when served. Servers are always friendly and very attentive. Restroom is always clean. We like browsing through the store as well, they have great choices although most of the time they're pricey. We like hanging out the front since they have plenty of sitting options (benches, adult and children rocking chairs). You can even play checkerds while waiting for your food. Always a great experience.
First time, and it won't be our last. This place has some pretty cool stuff in their store, I enjoyed a delicious lunch with the family and all the things I bought after, they go from cute sandals, pretty home decorations to weird candy treats you won't find anywhere else. Big plus, the hostess was super nice and our server Angie was amazing!
I got a chance to eat this morning at Cracker Barrel. It is always a treat with scratch made food. This morning we had some excellent biscuits. For my breakfast I had their hashbrown casserole topped either scrambled eggs, fried onion straws, green onion and some bacon. It was delicious and recommend you try that.
Ok I know you go for the food. Great home cooking and breakfast is a cut above. Sevice is always good. With friendy helpful staff. But did you realize they have a store. You need to check it out. In addition the store always has a clearance section. When traveling we always stop and check it out. You should as well.
Love their blueberry pancakes. I go there very often (everyday). I love to see my girl Mattie and my boy Hector!!!! I can’t express how much I love their pancakes!!!!!!!! I’m craving it right now as I’m typing this. Can’t wait to go when I wake up (literally). But anywho yea the staff is wonderful and quick!
It was my first time in this cracker Barrel. Staff were very welcoming from the second we walked in the doors. It took about 5 min to get a table. They had tons of cool thing in the gift shop at the front of the restaurant. Our server Angie was phenomenal. She was sweet and kind all while giving us the best service I've had in years while eating out. Our food was delicious and full of flavors. As you can see in the picture. All looked and taste delicious. But our server was magnificent. She made me feel at home. Came by and check on us every 5 min even though she still had other tables. Definitely recommend this place. Come on down and invite the whole family.
We can alway count on Cracker Barrel for a great breakfast. The pancakes are always delicious and just the right amount of crispy and don’t get me started on the real maple syrup. The staff, like Amy, are always delightful and hardworking. Another favorite is the hash brown casserole, you got to try it!
Visited today with my family and received exceptional service! The store service was great and when it came time to go to the restaurant side it was phenomenal! Our server Rome was super friendly and attentive! The food was made with perfection as well! Can’t wait to go back and enjoy a wonderful time!
Our experience here was absolutely incredible thanks to the waitress we had, Kendall. She came to our rescue from her coworker, Olivia, who was very dismissive and rude by slamming our drinks on the table and referring to our kids as “ Ma’am “ in a sarcastic manner. Kendall however, was very patient with the kids, respectful and professional. The food was very tasty and flavorful. We definitely will be coming back here thanks to Kendall, She is an extremely great asset to Cracker Barrel. Thank you Bryan (Manager) for addressing the situation. 10/10!! 👍🏽
Very delicious and down home. When ever I am out and looking for something good that's not too heavy and greasy but will fill me up and have me feeling good, I come to crackel barrel. The customer service is A+ and they have food that you would enjoy eating. My personal favorite is the chicken fried steak and the chicken fried chicken. Every time I come, I always choose those but today I decided to try their steak in which I asked them to grill it in garlic butter and OMG, it was amazing. Very finger licking good and those homemade biscuits will have you wetting your pants, they are the best biscuits I have ever tasted, they are so good that I always get some to go. Caution, they will bring you 6 along with some butter and jelly but don't get full off the biscuits before your food arrive. I say this because you cant just eat 2, they are just that good. Oh and the best part of it is, the pricess are great, less than $15 per plate. After you eat, you can indulge in some nice shopping in their gift shop, lots of cool things, snacks and decorations. So come on in, you will leave full and happy, I promise you.
Had been craving Chicken Fried Chicken so had to come here, it's the best!! When my plate came out I was heartbroken, it was overcooked. Our waitress however could tell everything wasn't alright. I'm not one to complain but I guess she noticed my disappointment. It was burnt & no amount of gravy could help it!! She immediately apologized & took my plate! I was not sure how long this would take. Anyway in no time at all she was back with a new plate plus an extra side dish because my order had gone so wrong!! I'm horrible with names so I can't thank her personally but everyone here is always super nice but this girl went over & above!!
Good quality and service is amazing! If you like southern comfort food then you can always count on Cracker Barrel to deliver! My only complaint is that the dining rooms are always slightly too cold, but that's just a personal preference. I know others can view the cooler dining rooms as a plus.
It was very busy, but the workers were working hard to assist and accommodate us. Our server was Hector. He was right on point with everything. He was even training a young lady so if she follows his lead she will be awesome. Also the food was good and hot. Thank you.
I took my daughter out for dinner at Cracker Barrel’s store in Mesquite. Both of us had chicken fried steak and we weren’t disappointed the food was excellent, our waiter was very attentive and as for the atmosphere I was very relaxed. The whole experience was great! Then we went to the store omg the beautiful things they had there. I fell in love with a dancing flamingo it was adorable unfortunately they were sold out. One of the managers Marcus located me the darn flamingo in Missouri and is getting it for me. What a wonderful store Marcus went the extra mile and it was very appreciated. I will definitely come back.
5 stars ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ **Cracker Barrel Old Country Store is a gem for comfort food lovers and those seeking a warm, welcoming atmosphere.** From the moment you walk in, you're greeted by the charming country-style decor and the cozy, rustic vibe that makes you feel right at home. The menu is packed with delicious, hearty Southern classics like chicken and dumplings, fried catfish, and their famous biscuits and cornbread. Breakfast is served all day, and their pancakes and hashbrown casserole are must-tries! The service is friendly, attentive, and always makes you feel like family. On top of the great food, the old-fashioned store attached offers unique gifts, nostalgic candies, and homemade jams—perfect for a post-meal stroll. Cracker Barrel excels in delivering a down-home experience, and it’s a place where you can relax and enjoy a wholesome, satisfying meal every time. Highly recommended for anyone craving comfort food with a side of Southern hospitality!
I have always enjoyed the old time atmosphere of Cracker Barrel. History is a major component of our future. Deleting history stunts the growth of our future. We also loose our roots. I asked for Uncle Herschel and it was back. Guys, don't change what isn't broken.
Food was absolutely great. Seems that food quality has gone up a bit since they put that new look out to rest.
Everything was good except the elderly hostess, who for some reason, was grouchy at the fact that there were 8 of us. It was 10am so not sure if she was already done with the breakfast crowd. Anyway, we enjoyed the gift shop as usual. Bought an Atari game and a few items for our grandson.
Arriving late and leaving early seems to be my routine but this time, I made room for dinner. Hooray! Warmly welcomed and brought to a table where I did one round of the peg game (I left two), my waitress took my order and it did not take long to arrive. Two blackened catfish filets with steamed broccoli and a salad. Hooray for keto. While their menu leans heavily into carbs and more carbs, there are some options. They do have a free wifi here and it worked well enough. This was a pleasant meal and afterwards, I was back into the Sprinter van. Locked and secured until morning when I was on my way at 6am before they opened. Thanks for the free parking and a good dinner, Cracker Barrel!
When you enter, you get the vibe of a highway rest stop. Once you get to a table, there is a kind of a bed and breakfast atmosphere. While the posting of old product signs was interesting, I thought displaying old cigarette brands is a bad decision given that smoking is so unpopular and not allowed at any restaurant. The service was quite good. Te chopped steak which was very good and reasonably priced is gone. I had to get the burger which was good but was more money than the former item and gave a bun I really didn't want or need. They should offer a junior sized burger or senior menu which I didnt see. The tables are a little too close together.
We always love Cracker Barrel on our way home. Pull in late, sleep, and breakfast in the morning. Remy training, Iona waited on us. They were courteous, friendly, and fast. Coffee was excellent as always, loved the bacon, cooked crispy. Pancakes were dry and overdone, scrambled eggs were runny. Maybe it was just early in the morning for the cook. Christmas is on display already in the store, love the new trees and ornaments. Will definitely keep visiting Cracker Barrels
Seated promptly and server was a gem. Eggs and bacon were exactly the way I like. I prefer traditional hash browns so the casserole was simply ok in my opinion. Blue berry pancakes are one of my favorites. I think I was expecting something different. Less blueberries and more batter would have been nice. Also I prefer them with the regular syrup but recommend trying both. Our server mixed two flavored teas and it was amazing. She had never had that request before but she did it for me. It was busy so the wait was longer than usual and a few items were not what I expected. Overall a good meal with great customer service.
Took the kids to cracker barrel for a late lunch on a Sunday though we did have to wait a little bit. That was to be expected on said day. Once we did sit down we were attended to quite quickly. In past visits we've been sitted with no waitress for up to 20 minutes. At one point. We did not have that experience this time. The kids and I had a really good lunch and I hope it is something that continues with future visits.
Good food and generous portion, good orange juice. Service is good. The price is a little bit high. The environment is good. It was very busy and loud when I was there on Sunday. Large parking space. The restaurant was full, but I was called very quick after giving my name. If prices are not your issue, I recommend it.
My husband and I had a lunch date here at the cracker barrel.(After we dropped our son off at school )Our waitress was amazing, I forgot exactly where she said she was from but I think it was up North. Our food was very good, the biscuits were hot and fresh(delicious). Lord willing we will definitely go back, soon and maybe even take our son😬😬(if he is lucky😁😁💕)
Arrived 11:30 am. Crowded, very busy. Food was good. Service a little below normal, but fine considering how busy they were. Very loud. I wish the brand would put up fire resistant sound dampers to help with the noise. Had to talk loudly so a person across the table could hear me. Not night club level, but it was not relaxing, and Increased my stress level. The same restaurant is not that way mid afternoon.
We haven't been here in awhile, but opted to try it. Hubby and I enjoyed a delicious healthy breakfast. I also liked several items in the general store. Wed. Jan 01, 2025- The food , service and portions are still on point. The price is about average 👍👍 Sunday - 08/06/2023 Breakfast was delish and the service was great. Plenty of menu items to choose from and reasonably priced. I also like shopping in the general store and love how they decorate the Christmas trees 🌲 12/20/2023- This is the second time we've had to send out food back. Due to over cooked sausage, eggs, and country fried steak. We've just never encountered this before. It's so disappointing 😞 Luckily for hubby we probably won't be back for awhile. He always buys me something at the store, so it'll give his pockets a break🤣
The egg was kinda raw in pancakes a little hard 🙁. But the waitress give us a good service.
Waited more the 15 minutes for our order. My hashbrown bacon casserole was missing the scrambled eggs. Got them luke warm. Wait staff was either new or just slow. Check out was slow also. Probably not a great morning for this place, but I always get the best service wherever I stop. I was disappointed in this 1 trip.
First time at Cracker Barrel in several years as we don’t live near one anymore. The food was good, although the homestyle chicken not as tasty and crispy as I remember. Our server, Walter M, started out good. I asked how the sugar plum tea was and he said it is very sweet, so I asked for if could do half the sugar plum tea and half unsweetened tea and it was perfect. One of my daughter’s got the chicken strips with a loaded baked potato and Mac n cheese, and the menu said it came with pickle ranch. My other daughter got the chicken fried turkey meal with a loaded baked potato and a fruit cup. The menu stated it came with cranberry relish. I ordered the homestyle chicken with loaded hash brown casserole and mashed potatoes with sawmill gravy. Our order comes out with no pickle ranch, no cranberry relish and no sawmill gravy. We let the food runner know and several minutes later our server brought out the ranch, relish and sawmill gravy. He seemed annoyed and said besides refills do you need anything else. My daughter asked for a little more gravy for the chicken fried turkey as there wasn’t much on it. So then he says anything else? In an exasperated tone. I said not that I can think of. He brings me another tea and obviously this to me he didn’t do half unsweetened as it was extremely sweet. The glass had a crack in it until I had drunk half of it. I glanced over to another table and saw someone eating a biscuit and realized we also never got our biscuits/cornbread basket. When the server was walking by I caught his eye and said we never got biscuits/cornbred. Again he looked put out. I was going to mention the cracked glass but didn’t bother at this point. He brings the bread basket and I saw it had butter but I recall there used to be jelly and honey packs on the table but I didn’t see either, but again I didn’t ask as the server already seemed annoyed. When he brought the check we asked for two to go boxes. And at that point I asked for my plum tea in a to go cup. I can understand the restaurant was very busy. But we had four missing items from our order and I don’t appreciate the attitude when asking for the items. I used to waitress. I normally tip at least 20% if not more. I left 15% because he soured our meal with his attitude. Almost $65 for lunch in this economy is a lot to pay to receive poor service. The four stars on his apron were a surprise considering the service.
The lady at the counter seating people was super rude. The waitress was very nice but watching paint dry would be faster. She even stated she kept losing track seeing as she was talking to her coworkers. Three different Cracker Barrel’s in about two months and they all had rude employees and poor service. Absolutely not what they used to be……..not even close.
10/25-My skillet hash brown with eggs was simply an unforgettable awful experience. The gravy lack basic taste. The hash brown was not fully cooked. The cornbread muffin was dry, hard, from Jiffy box. The scramble eggs had the appearance of a thinly folded sheet of paper-it tasted like it too! For the record, Crackle Barrel used to serve incredible home style meals, recent changes are truly disappointing. Not sure if it's that particular location- write off!
Why do they sit people so close together? Three tables with five people and then our area with three tables and five people. All sitting right on top of each other. Attempting to have a private conversation but now all of us are quiet. There are 25 tables but the management decides to make it more convenient for the wait staff than for the customers. Then the food delivered the Grandpa platter: Room temp eggs, room temp biscuits, and cold hash brown casserole at 7:30 am. I ordered pancakes which are warm. I will question why CB on our next breakfast outing.
We had a gift card, so we used it. Food was pretty good, but the service was pretty poor. The place wasn't very clean either. I really do miss the Cracker Barrel experience of 15-20 years ago. Back then it was fun. Now it's just another chain restaurant with no character left. I'm not sure what happened to them, but they've lost me.
The food was good we didn't get our hashbrowns had to wait a long time for our toast waitress needs more training
I ordered food to go online. The estimated time was 7:42. I arrived a few minutes early and the food wasn't ready. No big deal. The worker went back to check around 745 and he said its not ready, but I saw the ticket. Which tells me the food wasn't put in until after I arrived. The restaurant is slow because it is a rainy Wednesday evening. My food wasn't ready until 17 minutes after the time set when I placed the order. I ordered 3 meals. Almost every time I order online from this location there is an issue.
CURRENTLY HERE RIGHT NOW AND ILL NEVER RETURN TO THIS LOCATION EVER. Service is horrible and we still havent ordered. The waiter asked what we wanted to drink and hadnt came back. We asked another wait to go get him and he waved from fhe back saying he was coming but we are still sitting 20 min later and no drinks at all. THEN he COMES NOW TO the TABLE WITH THE WRONG DRINKS (a tea and a strawberry lemonade) sits them on the table and all we ordered was water. This is pitful. No silverware no napkins I have more but its too much to type They need to revamp this location all together from employees to managers as well everybody needs to be retrained
We ate there yesterday my food was not good at all. The potatoes eggs even pancakes were not normal. I love cracker barrel never had a complaint but this nooo. I was sick late evening kept asking was it just me. Then just now my daughter came and said her stomach is messed up.So no it wasn't just me last even. That's all I ate all day yesterday. I didn't complain thinking the nausea was just me. I've been sick today as well. I hope no one else feels this way.
Been for the first time in a while, it has fallen off so much. The food is legitimately not better than what you get in a middle school cafeteria where the lunch ladies have given up on life. The staff was nice enough, but not worth ever going again. And I want to specifically call out the burger buns they have, hard as trying to chew through a rag. Just don't go here.
We ordered items that are no longer served at all times like in the past. This place has really gone down hill, hardly anyone in the restaurant but still took a long time to get our food. Too bad as we liked the place in the past. They refused to serve what is showing in the pictures like before.
On 8/7/2025 my family was refused service at the Galloway location. I am handicapped and have trouble walking without assistance. We requested a table close to the entrance. After sitting at our table for 20 minutes and no service, my wife asked the host for a waitress. The response she got was, our table was not in the wait staffs section and the wait staff is refusing to serve our table. But the waitresses are serving the tables on our left, our right, and the one directly behind us. This staff is very unprofessional and I will be sharing my experience with everyone I speak with. This store will never receive my business.
Food was ok but the waitress VICKY R. was very dry/ rude and looked like she didn’t want to be there. When bringing out food she handed me hot plates that were for my kids instead of coming around the other side of the table. There were other guests coming in and being seated next to us and she had an annoyed look like they were in the way. She took a long time to come and see if we needed refills on our drinks. I always tip when going out to eat but not today for that kind of service.
20 min wait to get seated 25 min wait for biscuits 40 min wait to get our food. When the food was delivered the dipping sauce and Mac and cheese had a film the plates were so hot they burnt our hands and the food tasted like it sat under the warmer for 20 mins. asked for our checks and it took almost 10 min to get. In speaking with a manager I was offered the excuse tickets were printing in the wrong order. We were going to eat in but had to take everything to go. The waitress did not check back in or update us at all from the time of placing our order. Extremely disappointed in this service.
Service was horrible, food was wrong and served cold, quality check was not there, management seemed as though they could careless. We had a large party of 12 and after waiting longer than the quoted time for seating, we waiting another hour and a half for our food. Not to mention, we did not get to eat as a family and it was an all around horrible situation. Then the manager comps our drinks, but the issue was the food.
First and last time we visit this location! An hour wait which is what we expected on a Sunday but to wait another hour without no food, is ridiculous! Waste of time! Our server came back to say she didn’t know how much longer! We ended up leaving. Management should of made customers aware they were short staffed in the kitchen!
ROACHES, DEAD BUGS AND COLD PANCAKES. This past weekend, my wife and I and friends went for breakfast. We get seated by the window and the first thing we noticed was the window sill full of dead bugs (see photo). Waiter took a long time to bring us order. All our pancakes were cold and hard. My friends bacon was raw. We asked them to re--make pancakes and they came back a bit warm, as if they just put under heat lamp or microwave but this time the were burnt from one side. Had them send it back a second time and for the 3rd time the manager comes to us to make sure pancakes were to our liking, but unfortunately they were the same. I clearly told manager, "You can't tell me these are fresh pancakes". I told her I wasn't convinced. She just put a sad face and pretty much threw her cooks under the bus. She didn't even offer to remove them from the bill. We told her about the dead bugs and again just puts a sad face, but didn't do anything about it. This is not the first time, in a previous visit I told waiter about a roach walking on the floor at the time and just brushed it off. Do yourself a favor and pass up on this Cracker Barrel.
We were seated at 12:30. Our waitress Olivia G came and took our drink order. First my daughter asked for strawberry lemonade and was told they didn’t have it. There was pink lemonade with strawberry and when she asked for that she was told they no longer offer that yet it was still on the menu. We ordered our food and waited. We were watching other people that had ordered after us get their food. By that time we had been seated for over an hour. We went to let a manager know and still sat there for another 10-15 minutes for our food to come out. The food was luke warm at best and the hash brown casserole didn’t taste right. It tasted like there were chemicals in it. The manager said he would take something off our check for the inconvenience. We got the check and nothing had been taken off as promised. We had to find the manager to adjust the check. All in all by far one of the worst experiences I have had at this Cracker Barrel location. The waitress was not friendly and could have cared less about the issues we were having. It will be a long time if ever I go back to this location and I have been going there for over 20 years.
Was never served... Several waitresses passed our table without greeting or even taking a water order. We got up to leave and the host that seated us didn't even acknowledge or apologize regarding our concern(s). An older gentleman was waiting to be seated when we were sharing our concerns with the host. He started that he had the same experience at this location on multiple visits. We requested to speak with a manager. The manager couldn't have cared less. He told us to go on and have a nice evening. Will never visit this location again.
Took to long after food ordered to get our order. Customers that were seated around my wife and I were served and left before we ever received our food. After several requests we couldn't get reason why it took over an hour to receive our simple order. With that type of service I doubt we will come back.
I have tried to give this place a chance. Prior experiences were bad. Bad, rude and slow service. Today we were seated for 10 min before we had to get up ourselves and ask for a waitress. We didn't end up getting our drinks until well over 20 min after seating. on top of the slow service today, they served me ham that was literally burnt & over cooked. They brought me A new one and you can clearly see the difference. They should be ashamed!!! I tried to give them a chance but after today I will no longer be visiting this location until they get better managers, servers AND cooks. I love cracker barrel and this has been the only location I have had a continuous bad experience.
I called this specific location immediately before placing a DoorDash order for a family size dumplings that serves 5. I didn’t see the name chicken so I called to confirm that the family size that is listed for $15.99 on the Cracker Barrel website and just says dumplings would come with chicken. She put me on a brief hold and came back and confirmed it would. Order arrived and I did not get any chicken in my dumplings and this order claims to feed 5 but literally was a bowl big enough for 2 to share! I usually pay $16.99 and get 4 pieces of fried chicken, a side of dumplings and a side of greens just for myself. Why would I ever pay $20 for just plain dumplings? This was for my family so I wouldn’t have to cook tonight but guess who is out of $32 and is cooking?
I have always been a fan of Cracker Barrel and have been for years. I eat from there every now & then and i have always loved their food. The last time I ordered there, something was off. My order has always been the same, Chicken Fried streak with 3 sides.. This has always been my go-to, but the last time i ordered it, the food was horrible.. Has the ingredients changed? Is there a change in management?? Something is off and it’s not good.
This place Was new to me. I took my cousin here that just flew in from New York to have a great breakfast with mimosas and this place came up as a great breakfast place. The fact that they serve Mimosas was even better. When we arrived we ordered our Mimosas and a country side dinner breakfast then came the scrambled egg hashbrownsCountry fried steak and fried chicken country gravy and grits. Very disappointed in the way of the food taste!!! The gravy was thick. Thicker than a snicker!!!! The grits were runny!! more like they was running away from the table!!! The chicken tenders were nicely breaded but had no flavor. Let’s get to the mimosas. The mimosas came out and they had pulp!! Anyone who knows a Mimosa knows if it cannot contain pulp!!! I don’t know if you want me to chew and swallow at the same time but I can’t do both!!! First time and last time, that one star was for the nice waiter!
On 1/29/25 I ordered the meat loaf and this is what I received upon opening my food order. The food was delivered cold the meat was over cooked burt and hard. This is very ridiculous and not worth being presented. I won’t be returning. This is trash throw the whole pan away no one wants to eat burt or over cooked food. Thanks Danya
Ordered a family meal for thanksgiving for my staff. The order was placed last Friday. The meal was scheduled to be picked up on Wednesday November 23rd at 11:30am I arrived 15 minutes early. To my surprise they couldn’t find my order. I didn’t get an apology. I was told by one of the staff members well they don’t make chicken and dumplings today. I had to wait until they made my meal. 15-20 minutes later my meal came out. Once I arrived back at work No one touched the chicken and dumplings, the harsh brown casserole tasted old. The only good thing was my Mac n cheese and the rolls. Every disappointed
We waited over an hour and half after was told by the host it would only be a 35 minute wait for a party for 9. I went back to the hostess several times to see how much longer and was told we were next up in line for a large party. I guess clearly there is only 1 big table for large parties. They called parties of 7 after I went to check. If you all can seat a party of 7 surely a party of 9 should’ve been able to be seated if we were next in line. The manager for the dining area was not helpful and took my complaint lightly. After finally being seated. We waited for 20 minutes to get our drinks. We left before the waitress was even able to bring us our drinks. Nobody has time to wait an hour and a half to be seated then 20 minutes just to receive drinks
We decided to try it again after a 9 month hiatus over poor service and cold eggs. Pulled up the app and joined the wait list where it said 5 minute wait. We got to the restaurant and they said: "oh, we don't use the wait list on the app" and directed us to stand in a 20 minute line. So they obviously have not solved the operations problems. I think we're probably not returning at this point.
I haven't been to a cracker barrel for over a decade. I don't like being negative but the food was horrific. My grits were soupy, my country ham was thin and fatty, the biscuits tasted like preservatives, paid 1.50 for tasteless cheese added to my bland eggs. Honestly the best things we had was the appetizer that came out with our food and the espresso drink. The staff was lovely and the store was beautiful. The issue is only with the lack of quality with the food.
We were seated promptly. Unfortunately, we waited for 15 min and no one had come to at take our drink order. The place was not overly busy. So, we got up and left. On our way out we did tell management the situation. The gentleman offered to get us someone right away. But we had already decided to leave. We might try again later on, but for now we will eat elsewhere.
Ordered food delivery, paid $40 just to receive something so inedible it's absolutely ridiculous. The herb roasted chicken is so dry it choked me trying to eat it. You can barely break through it and the middle is cold!? The carrots have sat in the juices so they're disgustingly soggy. The turnip greens are cold and look as if they'd been sitting out. To make it all much worse, I ordered the cinnamon rolls and they're so hard you can't even break them apart. What in the world?
If I could give them less than one I would, I ordered take out. When I got home the mess they put in there, was not pork roast!!! I called twice and both times they gave me the manager on duty. I called back to get someone different because this one rude probably the rudest person I've ever spoken with. He flat out lied and told me that they changed the pot roast about 7 months ago and that how it looks. Then, proceeded to tell me all the ingredients in it. I said no I've had it before and this looks nothing like what you you all have advertised online. You don't here me, I said it's burnt sir, with no celery or onions. Just big carrots. He was very rude and kept arguing with me. I said I'll call corporate then. He said you can call who ever you want to. I had to say, I need it replaced before he offered to take my information down to get a credit. SMH Look below at the pictures. What I got vs. What it should look like.
05-05-25 We went to lunch at Cracker Barrel at 5304 N. Galloway Ave. It's a place we loved to visit and did so often. But this last time, it seemed like the cooks, waiter, and managers all agreed. The waiter provided very poor service. We were a group of seven, and he never came over to take our order. He was always at the other end of the table, and we had to repeat everything. He took our drink orders and also asked for our food orders. I thought the service would be quick. But what a disappointment. He didn't bring our drinks until after our food arrived, and the rolls weren't worth mentioning; he brought them to the table almost as we were finishing our meal. On the part of the cooks, the sausages were burnt and I showed them to the manager. The food was cold and poorly portioned. The food arrived cold. I ordered an egg fried and it came overcooked, it didn't look appetizing. They served me two pancakes, one with buttermilk and the other on the bottom had pieces of walnuts. When I asked for buttermilk only, besides coming with walnuts, the plate had pieces of green onion. What would have happened? If I were allergic to walnuts. The food is very delicate. I spoke to the managers on site, but they just look at you over their shoulders, don't even apologize, just say, "Do you want me to change your plate?" That's not a response from a manager; they need to educate them. Cracker Barrel. I'm sure they don't need my money, and it won't affect them if I stop coming. But this is so they pay attention to their work and the quality of service. Thanks, but I won't be coming back.
i visited this location with my brother and sister. this was one of the worst service experience i’ve ever had. our server took over 15 minutes to bring water and take our order. someone else noticed we were still waiting and took our order for her. we got our food 45 minutes after walking into the restaurant, but they only served my food and my brothers. they told my sister they were out of pot pie AFTER they brought out the rest of the food!! my sister sat there with nothing in front of her while my brother and I waited with our food getting cold in front of us for another 15 minutes while they made her a replacement meal. we ended up packing it all to-go and just left. i rarely give 1-star reviews but this experience deserved it. it’s more worth it to drive up to the other north dallas locations than eat here.
