What a blast we had and what a professional team they are. Despite the delicious menu and the music they play while eating there is more. Let's start with the fact that my mom has a little issue with her food, the waiter Rey (OUTSTANDING) immediate went to request the manager to resolved the matter. This one a true gentleman, came to help. Honestly the issue was not a big deal so we didn't want any change but they insisted. Their professionalism were outstanding. In addition Was my mother in law birthday so they has the chance to bright and they did. They put laud music, singing happy songs and really make us feel the only customer on the floor, when the restaurant was pad. THANK YOU FOR ALL THAT. It's truly the best place in MIA.
Just great food. Was helped by Jorge D. Great place to dine with family and friends. Definitely not your factory conveyer belt type of restaurant were you are served and the fill comes next. These people take their time and serve you with hospitality and patience. If you are looking for good slow pace place this Is it. Waiters are great and not pushy.
On a Wednesday night, I ordered the octopus (appetizer) and the paella. The octopus was so great, that I wolfed it without really stopping for breath. I appreciated that the waiter asked me whether I liked paella “soft,” or relatively more cooked. The paella was fantastic! It was extremely rich, and full of delicious sea creatures, chicken, and chorizo. The (2-person) serving size was huge. The greater part of it was boxed up to go. I threw it deep in ice in a marine cooler, and didn’t finish it until Saturday, three days later. And it was just as good on Saturday as it had been on Wednesday. Exceptional restaurant! En serio.
If you love seafood, this is a very nice restaurant I found on my last trip to Miami. Fresh, delicious food and affordable 😋
The service was great, the food was excellent, we chose from the chef's specials option list and it worths the price, the coffee was excelent too. We ordered the fried rice and it had a perfect amount of shrimps. The portions are not as XL as in other places but large enough, with all that said this definetely visit will be repeated. They made us feel better than in other places. Even the environment is better than other places because the decoration is more sofisticated, and there is enough distance between the tables which made us feel more comfortable and private. We will definetely repeat!
I really liked this Miami Suburban Seafood concept. Nice limited Seafood menu, affording the restaurant to focus rather than offer everything that swims in the ocean. Service was both hospitable and expeditious. Strong demand for seating in a relatively limited capacity restaurant. Again, I really like the menu and a couple of choices that focus on a more economical offering (combo plate with soup, entrée and dessert or coffee) in addition to serving high-end Seafood. Worth a visit!
Excellent food beautiful setting , service was incredible!
Great little find as visited for the weekend from Canada. Stayed at a local hotel and found this place quite by accident. Sunday brunch/afternoon is a time for locals to visit. Mostly church goers it seemed. We had dinner plans that night so we only ordered 6 oysters, shrimp with tostadas, and mussels. We washed it all down with a nicely priced bottle of champagne. Server was fast, staff were pleasant and polite and food was awesome (the oysters were organic and too large for my wife but I managed to get them down!). The shrimp was spicy and the garlic butter mussels were to incredible. What a nice find for about $100. Thanks!!
I surprised my husband for his 52nd birthday bringing the restaurant home! Isabel, the Mgr. prepared me a starter plate with a huge variety of croquetas, shrimps, fish, squid & malanga frites with a 4 pax paella that was actually enough to feed double that amount of people. As usual everything was excellent and presentable enough to pretend we had an in house Floridita. My husband was very pleased and our friends were amazed with the quality and fair pricing. We highly recommend Floridita of Kendall as a charming family place to enjoy fresh seafood, a huge selection of wines and the unbeatable friendly service by a Cuban staff. We are Cuban Americans hospitality professionals who lived in Spain and enjoy our traditions deeply. El Floridita de Kendall is a must for anyone who enjoys our flavors and a quality service. Hoping to be there again pretty soon, Mabel & Erich
HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!! Woah. That was the best blackened salmon I’ve ever had! I went to El Floridita Seafood Restaurant for dinner after a quick visit with Lujan Motorsports. If you’re ever in Miami and you like seafood, I highly recommend Floridita! (They have three locations)
El Floridita Seafood was a great seafood pick the food is fresh, flavorful, and cooked with a lot of care. Every dish we tried had bold seasoning and generous portions. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, almost like a neighborhood spot where everyone feels welcome. The staff was friendly, attentive, and made sure everything came out just right. If you’re craving seafood that tastes authentic and satisfying without being overcomplicated, this is definitely the place to go. Great food, great service, and the kind of experience that makes you want to come back again soon. And almost forgot the prices are awesome !
The food, the service, and the atmosphere outstanding 5 stars 🌟 Very classy, professional, and kindhearted waiters and waitresses plus other beautiful staff members worked together as a team 😀 Everything was very excellent even the menu prices are affordable for everyone 😀 See photos for the fresh delicious food 😀 love ❤️ it!
It's a little different than you may think when going to other places in the country. Mostly Cuban staff that try to make you comfortable even if you don't speak Spanish. Great, friendly people. Outside it sorta looks casual but waiters wear suites. No actual main entrance with a hostess. But it's probably the same in the area. Really eloquent for a date or family. Nice friendly place. Excellent food at a good price for the area. I'll go there again the next time I'm in the area.
Food is fresh and delicious. My service Reynier Morera is great.
While randomly talking to a stranger, she mentioned this place, I am happy she did! I tried the Lunch Special. I had a tomato soup, fried rice and natilla for dessert. Everything was fresh and delicious! Carmen took care of me and she was delightful!
I come here all the time, and it’s my favorite place. Food is great and so are the workers. It’s very affordable if you plan on coming with a lot of family and are on a budget. The inside is decorated nicely and it feels cozy.
Loved the place, service was upstanding. Enrique the server and our busser (forgot the name Dioxxxx) are excelent, they went above and beyond all the time. Ambience is pretty cool. Food O.M.G very fresh, i will comeback for sure and i will recommend this place. See you soon.
What wonderful experience we have every time we come to this location. Rey, a true professional, always makes sure to make us feel at home. The ambiance and presentation of the restaurant is quiet, peaceful, and private. The walls are decorated with fish species, angler trophy pictures, and more. The wine offered on the menu is great and for every budget. When you leave you will realize that you were not at the Florida Keys, but in Kendall. A true gem in Dade.
Being a long haul truck driver, I don’t often get the luxury of dining out. My company has a regular drop in this area. It’s been awhile since I’ve been there. I was looking for something to eat, and I walked a short walk past 4 different food trucks, but really wanted something new. Even though they have two other locations around Miami. Walked up to the carry out, and was greeted with a huge smile, and a friendly lady working the area. I noticed that the menu was not quite the same, as the one from the menu photo, so that means they do things seasonal. The whole area from the large patio, to the sidewalk area and the parking lot was immaculate. All of the staffers that I talked to, were friendly and smiling. The inside was warm airy and inviting. The bathroom was sparkling. I ordered lobster bisque, mind you I only order seafood when I’m in an area that is near the ocean. The soup was fantastic, it was perfectly seasoned, the right amount of thickness, the base obviously had been made from lobster shells, with small bits of lobster, just the way it’s supposed to be made( sorry lobster bisque is not made with chunks of lobster), with a touch of sweetness. There was no grittiness at all. I had taken a large bite and absolutely loved it, after that every bite I took was a small one, so as to savior every bite. The blackened mahi-mahi tacos were excellent, perfectly seasoned, the fish was moist, and the sauce was just enough. Served in flour tortillas, it was not short on ingredients and flavor. The potato chips were cooked perfectly, no greasy spots or flavor at all. I can’t express my delight with the whole experience. I wished that I was eating there tonight, but life on the road doesn’t allow.
The food was delicious. I tasted as fresh as can be. The waiter was on point. He was very attentive and respectful. I have come here several times and it has never disappointed.

Good customer service, they are professional and Sandra the waitress make your time over there even better .my complement to all staff, including a bartender and manager keeping the place like that .Definitely I'll be back.
First time eating dinner here. I ordered the Lobster Bisque and for the entree the Salmon with Rice and Beans. The fish was fresh and good. This place is a must!

Food and service were both very good…seafood was fresh and tasty. I highly recommend the octopus starter and the lobster in garlic butter sauce.
Good service and atmosphere, the food was good too but the prices are way too expensive for what effectively is a neighborhood restaurant.
Beautiful restaurant - gives that old school vibe of a Florida long gone. The Caesar salad and grilled shrimp in garlic and olive oil was a beautiful lunch and it was a great price and we got soup and even dessert!
My fiance and I came here for lunch based on reviews we saw on Google. There was the option to eat outdoors under a covered patio with fans. The inside was nice and cool but it's a bit on the small side and dark. The staff was friendly and warm and our server was exceptional. He knew the menu made recommendations and just provided a great experience. The food was so full of flavor, the right combination of textures and it was all plated really well! We had the oysters on a half shell, ceviche and the fried red snapper. I enjoyed the ceviche so much I put the broth on ny fish!! Everything tasted fresh and it was just a really nice day complimented by a great meal!
I love their chicken soup. It was the main reason I went because it was getting a little cold out. (In Miami? Yes it happens from time to time!) Ham croquettas were a little on the salty side, but soo good. The bread was amazing and warm. The fish sandwich was really good. The bun complimented the fish and the chips were fantastic. The server was a little impatient with us - not sure if it was because we didn't want to drink alcohol. I don't remember his name, but we did have to wait a decent amount of time to request our bill. Little details here and there that could be improved on, but I love this place and we definitely will be returning.
Fresh seafood Cuban style dinner! Located in Kendall with two other restaurants in Miami are, El Floridita has an extensive menu of seafood and non seafood items also offering a reasonable number of vegetarian options. We arrived a little before 7 pm and the place was mostly empty and were immediately assisted by the establishment very efficient and polite staff. Patrons can look and pick the seafood of their preference which is displayed with plenty of ice. Our server also brought me the red snapper I chose so I could check the freshness prior to frying. We ordered a Duckhorn Sauvignon Blanc for our wine of the night and mussels seasoned with garlic for our appetizer. It was good. Our dishes came just a few minutes after that: a whole fried red snapper, largo filet and penne pasta with lobster. The fish dishes had Cuban black beans and yellow rice as sides. The rice was ok and the beans were delicious. My red snapper was excellent and as I’ve also tasted the other dishes I can say it was a standout of the dinner. Flaky but with a touch of firmness and seasoned to perfection. Pasta lobster was very good as far as the seafood component and its sauce. The pasta itself (penne) was al dente but not memorable. We had cream brûlée and a bread pudding as desserts. Good closing items for our meal. The atmosphere of the establishment is simple but inviting. Place look spotless clean to my eyes and kid/family friendly. Near our both a table with a family was celebrating one of their children birthday. The staff made sure to bring her cake and sang happy birthday. I give El Floridita 4.5 stars and recommend the establishment for offering fresh high quality seafood and for the efficiency of their staff.
Food and service was great. However when ordering foods that are priced by pound they don’t ask what is wanted automatically bring the largest and obviously the most expensive. Should have better communication for customers sake.
Great local neighborhood restaurant for fresh fish and seafood Cuban style. Whole red snapper crispy and delicious white flesh accompanied by fried green plantains (tostones) and steamed veggies. Snapper fillet al termidor (gratineted creamy cheese sauce). Grilled salmon tender and tasty. Good selection of wines and beers. Happy hour 4-7 PM with good selection of tapas (small appetizers). Dine in or al fresco at the terrace.
I've been here twice and ordered for pickup once. The 2 times my husband and I dined in, it was amazing and the Paella was to die for but didn't have any shrimp in it. My complaints would be that the Ceviche was good but too expensive for the portion and they never have the Natilla Catalana. I do love their $10 special and the food always tastes fresh. I would definitely recommend this place.

Here the food is good, with a large variety of different plates. The outdoor seating is peaceful, fast service.
Good food, but now they charge extra for basic sides like fries and mashed potatoes, and they always run out of chicken soup before 6 PM. This wasnt always this way. Been coming here for years.
This is a hard review to put into words because I thoroughly enjoyed my meal. The #1 combo of Blackened Fish with rice and black beans was a tasty, filling, and cheap meal. Half priced beers at happy hour were also appreciated. The problem though is the service and atmosphere. There is no clear entry into the restaurant and approaching the group of employees outside resulted in a "sit anywhere" and a shoulder shrug, after a long wait, someone from inside came to ask for my drink. Then me asking which beers were on tap got confused with ordering tapas and resulted in unnecessary frustration, just to be told all beer is in bottles. That seems strange for the image they present with their waitstaff, they should have beer on tap. My food came in a timely manner but the serving of beans ended up being mostly a cup of bean juice. When serving a dish with such a nice piece of fish, why skimp on 20 cents of beans? The server did attempt to fix this but the next bowl of beans hardly had anymore than the last. In my opinion, this place just needs to figure out what they want to be. They have $15 dishes on the same menu as $100 dishes. $3 beers served by waiters in formal attire and poured like wine for you. A plethora of fancy looking waitstaff and then subpar service. If this would have been an order at the counter and take a buzzer kind of place, it would be a 5 star review. But the experience I received does not match with what they look like they're trying to be.

First and foremost, I have to say, the food was really deliciously cooked and high quality. The portions are fair, not large but fair. What makes this a 2 star rating is the fact that this restaurant charges YOU, for using a credit card. They tried charging my friend too who paid in cash. This is extremely rare for a restaurant to do this, it is a cost of business and for the customer to pay these fees on top of pricey food, and tip just ruins the experience and makes it more of a poor business transaction. For that reason, my friend and I won’t be dining here and we recommend you don’t take your business here either when 95% of the restaurants around don’t charge ridiculous fees.
This place used to be good. After what happen to us, I am not planing to come back. Unfortunately the beautiful picture of the paella for 2 on the menu was pure seafood and lobster, full of seafood. We thought $135 dollars for the paella for 2 was totally worth it. NOPE!!!, it was just wet rice with an empty lobster tail as decoration, and barely any seafood (approximate ratio was 90% rice, 10% seafood). We felt totally deceived and robbed. The quality is no longer there. May be they have new management. Hope they change back to what they used to be.

It's worse restaurant ever. It's look good but the food taste bad we could eat it it doesn't worth money!!!\nService good but food not.\nI don't recommend this restaurant!
They’re scammers and overpriced. Take your business elsewhere (where it’s appreciated). So I went to Floridita today for the lunch special, as I’ve done before. I always order the mahi with 2 side…
I called and placed an order for lunch. I specifically ordered Mahi. When I started eating , I noticed right away that the fish they gave us was not Mahi. I called the restaurant and spoke to the manager (Redel) , I explained that I ordered Mahi specifically and he said that the fish they indeed serve for their lunch special is called unicorn. I did not order that fish nor have I ever heard of that fish. The manager was super unresponsive ! I will never order from there again . He said they are not working with Mahi at the moment for their lunch specials - they should have told me when I placed the order. Instead they charged me for Mahi and gave me something else.
I do not recommend this establishment to anyone. First, the food specially the Sopon Marinero was boiling hot, tomato was overwhelming (only tasted tomato). They automatically add tip even when it was not a good experience, and at an 18%. They add fee for using bank and credit card. Then when you ask what it is they don’t even know how to explain it. The manager did absolutely nothing after we shared our experience. Revel, the “manager” was just a waste of our time as he said he didn’t have any authority to do anything or make it right. Please go elsewhere, this place is overpriced for the quality of the food
Today, I went to have lunch at Floridita Restaurant with my wife at 1:00 PM, and this was the worst dining experience I’ve ever had in my life. When they served me a soup, it had pieces of an insect in it. I immediately asked to speak with the manager, and instead of offering an apology, he insisted that the dish did not leave the kitchen in that condition. It’s truly disappointing that a manager would respond in such a way. He never returned to our table to follow up or say anything at all. This shows a complete lack of professionalism and hospitality from someone who is supposed to be in a leadership position. On the other hand, the server who attended to us was very polite and professional. I have over 30 years of experience in the hospitality industry, working alongside nationally and internationally renowned celebrity chefs and celebrity Maestro Cantineros My recommendation is that this manager be trained to better understand how to treat guests and handle situations with the level of care and respect that hospitality demands.
