Maam's Jamaican Restaurant

Super clean, food is delicious! It was the first time my husband and I visited this place. But it was sooo worth it. Oxtail, jerk chicken, patties and rice with peas was AMAZING! Definitely would recommend this place to anyone that wants super good food. Staff is really nice, food is fresh and delicious!

Surprisingly very good. I haven't been to this restaurant in some years. But the lunch special I just had was very good. The cabbage was very good. It was more like a slaw with a vinaigrette, so good. And the rice was well cooked.

Maams is my go-to spot when I’m craving jerk chicken. I order from them on UberEats and the food is still warm when it arrives. Very flavorful and big portions. Highly recommend.

This place is great I go in for the $5 mini plates quite often it's so much food I have enough for lunch and dinner

Just left Maam’s soooo satisfied. Don’t let the dated exterior/interior fool you. The food was amazing. Customer service was excellent. The food area was immaculate. I’d been craving oxtail after so many posts on TikTok and found Maam’s on google. The gentleman that took our order and served us was so nice and welcoming. He was patient with questions and let us taste 3 types of the chicken as we’ve never been there and caught on that my son had a sensitive stomach. The oxtail and the gravy was so tender and delicious as well as the jerk chicken was bursting with wonderful flavors. I got the Jamaican rice w peas and he poured the oxtail gravy all over it. I can eat that all by itself, that rice is very special. Huge portions also, I could not finish the plate. The cabbage salad that they serve w the plate was super fresh and crisp with the light sweet/sour flavor of whatever they use for dressing. Kinda rice wine vinegar vibes. I’m so happy we went and I’m sure I’ll be back before the week ends. Loved everything we tried 💯

This was my first experience with authentic Jamaican food and it didn't disappoint. The curry goat was outstanding. Gary was very gracious and probably overly generous with the portions. If I lived here I'd definitely come back.

The food is awesome I usually get the small jerk chicken which comes with a generous amount of rice and cabbage and plaintàin, and I can barely finish it so I probably can not finish the large. You might think twice about eating inside though because it is very hot inside. I just enjoy it at the local park up the street.

The taste is first rate and the meats just melt in your mouth.. Two thumbs up

This place is absolute perfection. Always fresh. Came down to visit Miami and went to this place 2 days back to back. Sure I’ll be back tomorrow. The beef Pattie’s are amazing. Jerk chicken is torch. And the sauce they put on the rice and beans is nothing short of breath taking. Overall I recommend this place to anyone. They are doing the lords work!!!

I’m a big fan of the curry chicken and also their jerk chicken wow. The rice and peas is usually pretty fresh. I try to make sure I stop here anytime I’m in the area.

I was sweating, making mouth noise sounds, sniffling from the spices, licking my fingers due to destroying the napkins. As a Hispanic man who loves everything season, beans and grilled chicken, Maam’s Jamaican will be my go to every time I visit Miami. The portions are loaded, the quality is amazing, and topped it off with a bomb drink called Ting.

Ok... I need the front service to match the magic the cook is creating back there. Because if I was basing my experience from the service I would have canceled my order. Granted I will not return eventhough the Oxtail was tasty. These 4 stars are solely for the chef... THANKS FOR A TASTY DINNER 👉🏽👈🏽😌

This food is exquisite and service was impeccable and timely. The chef is magnificent Abe I and my guest were not dissatisfied by any stretch of the imagination. I would advise anyone who knows great Jamaican food to get a plate and feel the spirit of Jamaica.

The food was pretty good. I got the brown stew chicken. The oxtail had a little sweet taste to it which was different . The cabbage needs some help! It’s like a slaw not cooked or anything.

Was really looking for good Caribbean food. Jerk chicken was dry, not spicy and lacked any flavor. Probably the worst I've had. Fish was way too salty. Maybe the curries are better?

Bought a large oxtail. Cost $20. Didn't have much oxtail and the ones that were given to me, didn't have much meat.

Better than Taco Bell but... There were more bones than other places and although the taste was initially good, it didn't take long to realize that it was way over salted. The lady at the register was anything but polite or kind and it wasn't very appetizing to eat while professional wrestling was on TV. Overall this place sucked and I won't be returning.

My first time going here was terrible but food is good. so when I walk in the black old Jamaican lady with the glasses attitude is so bad I seen it in her face when I walked in. Almost every question I asked about the food she seemed very irritated or aggravated. She would huff and puff and respond very rude and nasty just asking her a question about the food

I used to love this place because they were very welcoming and good amount of food for the price but the attitude is disgusting from the younger lady. The guy is much nicer but not her, if this wasn’t a family restaurant I would have never let her work for me. The food amount is outrageous for the price. Pick one either have a bad attitude with great food or Good attitude and terrible food. I will never recommend this place to anyone anymore. I’m glad my family moved on from this spot and went to another Jamaican restaurant

So tonight I worked 16 hours and was too tired to cook and again I was dealt with a expensive stomachache from old oxtails one of my favorite dishes.
