I was a fan of their granola which I regularly got from stores. But this bakery is even more amazing! The scones are so fluffy, even better than the regular wheat ones!

Highly recommend for GF baked goods

Gluten free AND Soy free! The consistency and texture of their product (baked goods included) is great, not dry, grainy, or gummy, rather light and enjoyable rigidity.

Amazing gluten free pastries! Awesome service! Affordable quality food! Nice outdoor space where you can work on a computer and sip coffee.

Just thrilled to have a bakery I can get a GF scone and some tea to sit outside in the courtyard to consume! The thrill to know that everything I see on display is GF and I can eat !

Came here on a Sunday afternoon, amazon service service, the staff who helped us was so nice and extremely helpful, guiding us through her recommendations and allergy info. Baked goods and the breakfast was soooo good.

Really good gluten free bakery with surprisingly good gluten free offerings even if you aren't looking for GF options. The scones here are excellent.

Spent the afternoon walking around Mill Valley, trying to find a spot to eat at. Ended up here, and couldn’t have been more pleased! Got a fresh salad and some avocado toast. Definitely tasted fresh and felt like the right thing to eat on a sunny, summer day. Would definitely recommend this spot if you’re in the area!

Every single time I go hiking on Mount Tam or just cruising through this is my go to stop. ✭✭✭✭✭ Location: in the ex lumber area of Mill Valley this cute little area has been refurbished to provide outdoor seating to relax. ✭✭✭✭✭ Atmosphere: limited indoor seatings (one communal table and two high tables) with outdoor seating that has one area fully exposed and a sheltered area with gas heating for the winter (still gets pretty cold). ✭✭✭✭✭ Food: I come here for the soups and don't miss out on the daily menu blackboard on the right hand side of the counter. Vegan soups are great, very flavorful yet light. Much of the menu can be alternated for allergies purposes (or for vegan purposes). Provided tartines, toasts and salads as well a pastry section that will leave you mouth watering – vegan fruit crumbles in the fridge are delicious. ✭✭✭✭✩Beverages: coffee not as great - tried the cappuccino and the foam wasn't right and coffee was burned. ✭✭✭✭✩ Service: brisk and efficient, not as friendly as other venues. Price: SF avg café price - salads/tartines $12 toasts are $8. Wi-Fi: provided Time limits: none Outlets for working: saw one

Flour Craft is amazing. My wife has Celiac Disease, so having a gluten free bakery with multiple locations and delicious food is wonderful. The Mill Valley Lumber Yard is amazing for families and groups. Dogs are allowed too. Even if you don't have dietary restrictions, you owe it to yourself check them out!

H

My family and I have celiac and we were able to enjoy a wonderful meal here! Vegan and GF friendly and had the best tartines. The atmosphere is lovely and peaceful and I will be returning soon.

Have been going here for years and love the food but PLEASE fix the burnt taste of the espresso. Have only had a *very* small handful of experiences where the espresso wasn’t burnt. Still giving 5 stars bc I do love this place but please please please fix the espresso.

I love love love this bakery. The food is always beautiful and delicious. As someone who is GF, it’s rare to have such high quality food. The bread and focaccia are amazing.

Was supa bougie AF but delicious if you cannot have gluten. Focaccia texture was good. Texture and taste was similar to gluten filled foods. Wife has celiac and loves it.

Then sourdough chocolate chip cookies and pistachio pound cakes here are great!

Consistently tasty delights in this gluten free cafe with sweet options as well as savory tartines and home-baked breads. Outdoor seating in the preserved LumberYard is quaint and a favorite gathering spots of Mill Valley locals.

You don’t have to be GF to appreciate the deliciousness of this place, but you may have to be GF to appreciate the prices. I don’t care— this bakery is a godsend. I have been here several times and still don’t understand how everything can be so texturally perfect. I bought the bread here and WOW the walnut bread is beyond stellar. We are so blessed to have a place like this in Mill Valley. Get the scones, the pumpkin walnut loaf, the bread, anything! You can’t go wrong :)

S
Sean Michetti

I had a super delicious open faced toast, overnight oats, and a few baked goods! Great ingredients and an awesome environment with all the other shops and places to sit. Enjoy the fire pits 😄

Spectacular views of Pacific Ocean and San Francisco Bay. On clear day you can see snow capped mtns of the Sierras. Restrooms closed during Covid they have a temporary one for use.

One of the best gluten-free breakfast spots I've found. Kinda expensive though.

Super cute bakery with a shared outdoor space that is just dreamy. The bakery is completely GF which is awesome for those GF people in your life and the coffee cake is not to be missed. The outdoor seating area has tables and Adirondacks and is an awesome spot to chill. Highly recommend as a first stop of the day (or second for lunch!).

Okay. Staff was super friendly. A friend brought us there, bragging about this gluten free place. My experience with gluten free, up to now, was that you might as well just eat cardboard. Until now. OMG the food here was fantastic! Try the focaccia bread. So good. I could not believe it was gluten free.

S

Best gluten free bakery around! We drive up from San Mateo to stock up on their breads, enjoy a tasty lunch and sweet treat. The cocoa nibs coffee cake is my current favorite.

Equator coffee is excellent. Outdoor seating only, but a few tables are covered and have heaters. Great gluten free treats!

The BEST gluten free bakery in the world! (And I’ve tried dozens in at least a dozen countries). The focaccia is truly unmatched, and all of the pastries are delicious. My non-GF carb-loving wife and I battle for this focaccia when it’s in our freezer - it’s that good.

As someone with Celiac this place is a desert oasis. This is my go to stop on bike rides that pass through Mill Valley or San Anselmo. Coffee is great and the cinny roll is 👌 10/10 will go again

Great coffee, food and service. Hard to find such good gluten free places. Probably the best gluten free focaccia I've had so far. Loved also the brioche French toast and avocado toast. Loved also the vibe and outdoor seating the was available on the day of our visit.

It’s 100% gluten free. We ate here twice and had two different meals each was delicious!

T

Didn't know all items we're gluten free. But everything was delicious even for us who don't need gluten free. Had the Brie roasted tomato tartine, awesome, and citrus ricotta cake, so moist. Will definitely come here when next in the Bay area. The ambience of the renovated 'mill' of Mill Valley turned cute shopping area is a bonus. Could sit here all afternoon!

had the pleasure of trying the house drip coffee, along with the Tahini Everything Cookie and the Sourdough Chocolate Chip Salted Cookie. The coffee was absolutely delicious, smooth and rich, the perfect companion to their incredible baked goods. The Tahini Everything Cookie is an absolute must-try, offering a unique blend of flavors that’s both savory and sweet. I can’t wait to visit again and explore more of their menu!

There are gluten free restaurants where you leave and say “that was really good for gluten free!” Then there are gluten free restaurants where you leave in utter disbelief that the bread and pastries are really gluten free. Flour Craft is one of those. The focaccia is truly phenomenal. As someone who dearly misses bread in her life, the chicken pesto sandwich made my heart sing. The vegan chocolate oatmeal cookies were also very tasty — not too sweet, and great warmed up! Really looking forward to working my way through this menu 🤩

What a treat! I have been wanting to try there gluten free bakery items. I ended up getting a avocado toast today…and soup. The scone and cookie was also delicious…sat outside, what a beautiful location.

We always arrive when they open. Great food and exceptional service. Pistachio bread loaf is my favorite as well as the cinnamon roll. Hallelujah, it's gluten-free!

Yum yum - all items are gluten - free. More limited choices for baked goods (if you need to be dairy - free as well) but the donuts and the tahini brownie bar were fantastic! They have fresh brewed coffee and teas, too and more hearty items for breakfast. I would definitely go back for more!

Wow what a great place for a healthy vegan treat! I indulged in a matcha green tea latte with coconut milk and a delicious vegan poppy seed muffin. It's such a treat to find a place where I can enjoy a treat that is allowed on my current diet. Great customer service and wonderful outdoor seating!

I love that this place is based in a historical site that is very well maintained. Eating the best cookie, ever while overlooking the old mill is such an amazing experience (and, it was all gluten-free). I highly recommend.

The gluten-free options are absolutely delectable. You just can’t find cinnamon rolls like these anywhere else 😫. And don’t even get me started on the pistachio pound cake and the lemon lavender scone—heavenly! Even though it’s a drive from the East Bay, coming here feels like a little getaway.

I thought the blueberry scone was amazing! My husband and I did not care for the avocado toast which is just a matter of taste really. I don't think we'd stop by again though, didn't seem particularly friendly when we ordered, kind of grumpy.

S
Shirley “Tiburon Nana” Cornell

My first time here I tried the avocado toast, I got a cinnamon roll and a baguette to go and I’m real happy I did. I really enjoyed all but the baguette and cinnamon roll was wonderful in my opinion

T

Cool spot in the lumber yard. Great baked goods. The drinks were just okay. $2 extra for a little almond or alt milk is quite a rip off.

J
Janet Alexander

I was diagnosed with Celiac disease over a decade ago, and have been trying gluten-free baked goods and pastries ever since. Here are the fast facts: Their lemon bars are second to none. Remember those incredibly buttery lemon bars Whole Foods used to sell years ago? Well, these are better, with more zesty zing of lemon, along with the buttery crust . The carrot cake with cream cheese frosting can be the cause of family infighting--it happened to me, it can happen to you. The cinnamon rolls–whether you're in the mood for one at the time or not, if they have them, you buy one. It's always a good choice. Don't be tempted by the limited-time-only seasonal pumpkin cookie. It's a circular, soft-baked cake–no chew or crispiness to speak of. There's more parking and a charming atmosphere at the Lumber Yard location in Mill Valley, but during my sunday visit at 11 AM this morning it was a cluster, peek hours I'm sure, but nonetheless it is way too small of a space to accomodate the long line and the staff appeared to be unprepared and overwhelmed.

Delicious organic quinoa kale squash goat cheese salads, homemade pastry, artisan bread, and nice clean business. Great breakfast and lunch menu, good coffee too.

Didn't care for the regular black coffee ..but the Blueberry scone and Chocolate Banana bread was the best I've had in Marin county so far.

J

This place is a little extra, and the clientele attracts a specific demographic that reflects the privilege of the neighborhood. Ingredients are seasonal and organic. Seating inside is limited, but there is outdoor space.

Nice ambiance. Service was good. I got a cold brew and a slice of lemon cake. Coffee was good but the lemon cake was lacking flavor and really dry.

L
Lorna Diwa

Come here for the ambiance - it’s a cute little bakery with outdoor patio area in a little complex with other local stores. Had the cheddar scone and iced tumeric - the presentation and service was great but flavor-wise they didn’t blow me away. Was bummed that the scone was a little dense and tough - might just be the day that I came, but wouldn’t necessarily order that again.

E
Ebru Saitoglu

Good place with good vibes. The food is healthy and gluten-free. It is freshly prepared. If you are really hungry, I recommend the tartines. But if you want to eat something in normal size, the toasts are also good. It is a bit pricey, but the taste deserves it.

R
Ryan Murray

To be honest, I was a tad disappointed. I ordered a latte and a vegan donut. The donut was intoxicatingly delicious. My only complaint was that it took a while to finally get my latte which was pretty much room temp at that point. There was no clear indication where to go after I ordered and there wasn’t much time to look over the menu before ordering. I encourage folks to go here because it’s a mill valley staple i think. Just brace yourself for a rushed order, move-it-along experience.

J
James Seechurn

I have been to this place a few times and really like it. The reason I gave 4 and got 5 is because I think a few dishes could do with improvement. The avocado toast on gluten free doesn't work - the bread tastes more like cake and neither the flavor nor texture combines well with avocado. We also had the vegan open faced sandwich which was very good but too heavy on the oil and arugula.

L
Luke Freeman

A nice, quiet little coffee place with loads of outdoor seating. Lots of covered space and places for kids to run around. A bit on the expensive side but the coffee is good (Equator brand) and prepared well. The staff are not the most friendly but they're efficient and polite. They also, as per their namesake, sell a good variety of delicious baked goods and vegetarian/vegan entrees. A small beer and wine selection is available also.

s
suzanne p

I had an open faced sandwich and blueberry muffin. I'm gluten and dairy free and thought both were great. My only complaint is I could have eaten2 of both they were so good. But I picked them up at 10 for a lunch at 2pm. I did think it was kind of expensive, but the quality won me over for a place to treat myself, not an everyday place.

Made the trip up from the city today for some great GF food. Love that this place is among the trees and in the Mill Valley Lumber Yard. Such a great vibe with lots of cyclists, runners, and dogs hanging out. We ordered the winter tartine, cali waffle, and the Stinson tartine, along with some extra focaccia and coffee. Everything was so tasty and fresh, especially the winter tartine. Recommend stopping if you’re in the area, and if you’re not, making the trip up from SF is a great side quest!

Great little coffee spot with great little pastries scones and breads. For all those anti gluten-free critics, you wouldn't even be able to tell, they really nailed it. But were they absolutely fall flat on their face is whatever this wrap would be called, the size is best set for a toddler, maybe an infant, and the price is set for a high-level tech exec. 15.00 for this pathetic little thing with super mid flavor. I highly recommend for their pastries but this wrap was just sad

A

Love the location. This is a terrific place to hang out and have a latte. The lattes were great. The food however was nothing exceptional and on the small side. I’d definitely return but only for the drinks. There was no WiFi so in order to work, we needed to use our own hot spot. There were two public restrooms that were somewhat clean.

Very tasty. All gluten free bakery (but you'd never know it). Salads and tourtine served after 11a. Coffee drinks all the time. Limited indoor seating, lots of outdoor.

Stumbled unexpectedly upon this bakery during my stay in Mill Valley. My friend and I tried several of their items. My favorites out of what I bought was my mudslide cookie and lavender scone. Both were excellent! The cinnamon roll was ok, but not something I would get again. It was more like an almond meal cinnamon cake. Which is fine, but I wanted more bread-y cinnamon roll flavor. The protein cookie was not great. What you would expect for protein powder in a cookie. The savory brioche was excellent! Definitely a must get. It is located in a very cute outdoor mall. Definitely worth strolling through the stores. The only thing I would really complain about was the cashier. She was not very friendly. We bought a lot (about 10 items between the two of us) and when I asked for a box, she scowled and walked away without saying yes. She seemed very annoyed. The cinnamon roll she put in a bag lost all of its icing to the bag, so I didn’t want to continue that with the other cakes we bought. Maybe she was having a bad day. The food and ambiance make this bakery worth checking out!

Delicious baked goods and bread. All gluten free! Lavender lemon scone, sourdough chocolate chip cookie, apricot almond cake, pistachio coffee cake. All approx $5-6 each You can preorder cakes 48 hours in advance. Cons: only open until 3pm on week days and parking/crossing the street can require some patience and extra alert. Edit: ordered a lemon cake here ($80) and it was DRY. Basically inedible. I don’t know if it was one-off flaw or not. Will not be ordering a cake from them again.

Ok, the food is tasty but the menu is confusing. They don’t clearly list all the ingredients to dishes and it’s hard to find a straight answer. I have some allergies and it was super unclear if what I ordered had the allergen in it and it took a few people to figure it out, thankfully it wound up ok. The food is great but if you have dietary restrictions make sure to ask and not assume

J

The beeping buzzers are very loud and disruptive of the chill out door seating for lumber yard! Please change them!

M

I expected more from a bakery in Mill Valley. They had a sourdough chocolate chip cookie which is incredibly unique and was good and not overly sweet. The scone on the other hand shouldn’t be called a scone but perhaps a dry muffin. If you aren’t going to put the required care into creating something don’t make it, but don’t offer such a poor version of something. I did not try the entrees so maybe those are better.

H
Hannah Sibley-Liddle

I am a longtime supporter of flour craft, however, I can never ever get a solid tea drink. PLEASE flour craft, teach your staff how to properly steep and make tea drinks. You can’t just pour all the ingredients in at once, you HAVE to let the tea steep in the hot water 4-5 minutes before you do anything else to the drink. I paid $7.50 for a London fog which ended up just being runny almond milk water. This is far from the first time this has happened. I know this is such a trivial problem, but for someone who only drinks tea, it gets really frustrating to never be able to get a decent cup of tea.

Got an oat milk cappuccino and a blackberry Earl grey scone. Both were just okay, and waaaaay more expensive than the flavor deserved in my opinion. Capp was made with Equator coffee which is solid, and it tasted fine, good foam, but cost a little more than I'm used to in the Bay, and the oat milk sub was $1.50 which is definitely more than most places I've been. Scone didn't have any particularly strong flavor, which was a bummer since I love blackberry and Earl grey and couldn't really taste either. It was afternoon so I wasn't expecting the best texture in the world, but the lack of flavor made me sad. Basically you're paying for the location. Cute seating outside.

This might be a Marin county thing but I find them quite overpriced. I checked out the menu and found that even simple breakfast items would be turned into fancy stuff that go $10 and upward. I decided to have breakfast elsewhere and had a savory scone instead. It tastes ok but was tiny. On the positive side, the outdoor dining area looks amazing. Spacious with a fantastic vibe of this historical site .

Food is gross. I like the drinks here. Not a bad run to the creek. Wish they had some complimentary jam or a free something cool about them for a change.

Overpriced, trendy and not friendly. Location is great but get your coffee and baked goods from Equator (200 yards down the road).

I absolutely love their bread and their oatmeal chocolate chip cookies, but they are literally never open when they have open hours. They close early all the time, without warning, which means I drive 50 minutes for nothing. Please update social media or send an email or something so we know when you close early!!!

overpriced food and mediocre service the waffle was cooked perfectly but the supposed rel maple syrup was either watered down or not real. The $8 CBD infused juice wasn’t cold and had distinct bites of DIRT! in it. I won’t be back

Lovely area to sit however the $8 avocado toast on high protein bread I found to be inedible. The bread was extremely odd tasting, with no flavor and a bad texture. Would have appreciated a heads up from the staff that this isn't the standard type of bread you'd expect for toast. They could give a small sample of the bread if you haven't had it before. My husband called it 'truly terrible and one of the worst things he has had anywhere'. We've had many avocado toasts and were pretty excited for this.

The soups are all very delicious. $8 is a good value and they are gluten free and vegan. I was very disappointed with my vegan wrap today. $17 for only a wrap. How about a little garnish. It just looked so lonely. The chorizo walnuts inside didn't have enough flavor. And especially, the tortilla was cold and not soft. Very strange consistency and bite.

Absolutely horrible business. Customer service is non existent. I’ve never heard of a business that closes their doors at 4:00 pm on a busy Saturday afternoon. They sell ice cream! I hope you amend your hours or learn what the “service” portion of the word Service Industry means. Absolute joke.

Sorry really want it to make it. However, $4 for a plain old equator coffee in the same cup equator charges $2.5 for. There are coffee shops in the bay area at that price point but they use special coffee or process. Not plain old drip and equator which is on tap at whole foods besides just Equator. They clear need some revenue but gouging the few people walking in isn't the way to get there.

Service is severely lacking any sort of customer service or politeness. I’m not one to leave reviews and am used to the mill valley get in get out customer service but this place was exceptionally difficult to try and find and ‘worth it’ points haha

OVERPRICED GROUND UP CORN PRESSED INTO DIFFERENT SHAPES. Pastries all tasted like corn and had the texture of gritty play dough. Cashier was rude. I think people only like this place bc it gives the illusion of health.

The food is good quality but highly overpriced. The organic chicken in the salad was non existent And the toast on the avocado toast was partially burned :( Really need to step up their game.

I very rarely leave reviews but we had an exceptionally bad experience which warrants it. The cashier there had a very bad attitude and made a mistake on our order (we were charged for one of the items but it was not sent to the kitchen). They did not give us a buzzer even though everyone else had one which caused a significant delay in our order. Once one of the items didn’t come out , they charged us again for the item. When we tried to let them know that we had been double charged, they became very hostile and defensive. Also, the tartine was not even good at all and extremely overpriced. Coffee was so bad (tastes fishy). The oats are worse than Mush.

I stopped by Flowercraft & Bakery with my daughter to pick up a small order and enjoy a treat, but unfortunately the experience fell short. A couple of the cookies we ordered were missing from the bag, and I was given regular coffee instead of the decaf I specifically requested. The cashier seemed distracted and more focused on a phone call than helping customers. It wasn’t the warm, attentive service I was hoping for. Disappointing visit for what should have been a simple, enjoyable stop.
