Had a great time! Food, vibes and specially the service was amazing! Patricio is a legend
Best place to get a fine steak, the service is amazing and they treat you like home.
The service is by far the best I’ve had in all NYC! The Dulce de leche dessert is amazing too.
I judge places mainly on their service. Their generous helpings come with great taste in every dish. From day one, the people at Buenos Aires remember who I am and stay focused. You get quality cuisine at reasonable prices. It's a good place to hang out with friends and have a nice time eating good food.
My Argentinian patient recommended that I try this place. The decor feels authentic, and most of the patrons spoke and ordered in Spanish so we felt like we were at the right place. We (2 adults and 2 kids 6 and 7 years old) got the boquerones, chorizos criollos caseros salteados, and mixed grill for 3 people. The food portions were just right and they gave us plenty of time to eat our appetizers before the entrees came out. The sangrias we got were strong, steaks delicious, and the service was EXCELLENT. One of the gentleman waiters gave us some snacks and chocolates to take home and my children definitely appreciated that riding back home. Definitely will be back and I would recommend this place highly. Also their bathroom was very clean and that is an important sign.
Hello, so it’s a combination fantastic employees the waiters are very attentive. They make the experience that much better. Quality of cuts are always great! Lunch specials and good wine list. Good dinner menu fun place with a real deal Argentinian owner who is die hard on soccer. The kitchen staff is amazing great group of guys. Glad this spot is still around! The service and food is always top notch! Outdoor space in the back perfect for a date. Look this spot locally for steaks and wine is Right! Saludos to Patricio and the superb staff. Wow, Australia wins Peru was so close! Ismael Alba el original! Real deal great guy.
Amazing dinner, best steak I’ve ever had. Service is great (Mauro is amazing) very fun atmosphere and reasonably priced.
Very cool restaurant with a very Argentinian soccer ambience. The service is excellent and the atmosphere is absolutely wonderful. We had the lunch menu with empanadas, steak, and bread pudding. Everything was excellent and the owners gave amazing service. Very fun neighborhood restaurant.
This place is to die for!!! The ambiance, the friendly staff and the food quality are top notch!!! I celebrated my birthday here and everyone loved their food especially the skirt steak and the garlic shrimp! We came back to celebrate our anniversary a few months later and same wonderful experience. Plus they gave us a bag of Argentinian goodies to take home with us!!! I would eat here everyday if I could
This restaurant was everything I was hoping for and more. I went for my birthday and got royal treatment. Food and drinks were excellent and the services was not 5 but 10 star rating. Mariachi was our waiter and made our experience unforgettable. We will visit on our next trip to the city for sure 😃👍🏽
I enjoyed my meal completely. In my assessment, their workers excel at customer care. The meals here surprised even a skeptic like me. The vibe completes the meal. I judge quality against this standard.
I had the opportunity to watch the Argentina/Netherlands game at this location. Although all tables and seats were reserved, myself and another gentleman were accommodated in the back room. The service was great even though it was back wall-to-wall. The food was absolutely delicious. The chinchulines and ribeye both perfectly cooked. I’d highly recommend this restaurant if you’d like a very homey and authentic experience with a very friendly staff.
Ok. I have been here for a few times and it's time for me to share my love for this place. The food is fantastic. Beef is is great and the service is fantastic. Go here. That's it.
A friend who knows Argentina well & who lives in the neighborhood gave me this fabulous recommendation. Amazing friendly service esp from Alejandro! He made our first visit feel like a dinner party with good recommendations and conversation. We enjoyed the empanadas because they actually reminded us of the ones we ate when in Argentina. We also appreciated the Lomo, Ojo, Chorizo cuts. Filling portions you could share. Even the pure de papas and simple salad reminded us of our Argentina travel days. Excited to return.
Legit Argentinian Restaurnat en Manhattan, I’m taking in Manhattan! If you’re looking for a authentic experience . Deserts are legit, good portion of dulce de leche! Look for Cornelio and Mariachi they are amazing. They come at the end and host us! They took care of us and my Russians friends
Why would anyone go to Smith & Wollensky or even Peter Luger? This is the best steakhouse in NYC not to mention the amazing selection of Argentinean wines and dishes. The garden at the back of the restaurant is a perfect place to enjoy a private dinner while watching the stars! The service is great and the ambiance superb!
Excellent Argentinian restaurant! This place has been here for over 15 years. They are obviously doing something right. The food was awesome! Their chimichurri sauce is yummy! The empanadas were amazing!! The staff was really Friendly and very inviting. They have a wonderful outdoor space! They have HEATERS!! Yay!! Check this place out!!
A lovely time in Argentina 🇦🇷 It’s my first time at this restaurant and I had a lovely time. For the appetizer I ordered the Provoleta Argentina con Tomate fresco which was fantastic! I ate it with bread and the taste and quality of the cheese with tomatoes was spot on. The server also brought us a complimentary Italian appetizer called Burrata, which was a nice surprise. For the main course I had the Canelones Caseros de Espinaca y Ricotta which were also very delicious. And right before we left the server also surprised us with a plastic bag filled with Argentinian goods, like tea, cookies, coffee and jam! (Picture of these items included) Basically my expectations have been surpassed and I have to give a round of applause to the Buenos Aires team for the excellent service and quality of food. I will visit you again soon. Muchas gracias!
Ordinary avoid restaurants for New Year’s Day meals given staff are usually hung over resulting in poor food and service. NOT AT Buenos Aires! Took my mother for her birthday with my two kids and we had a great time. We ordered an Argentinian rib eye, strogonoff, Salmon, spinach and mashed potatoes with a chorizo and cheese tomato appetizer. Food was amazing. The Strogonoff was probably the weakest but only relative to everything else. Steak was medium rare and I thought it would be stringy when cutting but it was so tender and juicy it was amazing. Steak melted in your mouth. The char was outstanding. Salmon was nicely grilled too with a nice char and still juicy inside The cheese tomato appetizer was delicious. Chorizo was grilled perfectly and super flavorful without it being too salty like a lot of chorizo. OMG - the chimichurri sauce was soooo GOOD! Service was old school as was the decor and we loved it. Really family feeling in the place and love it hate it, they had TVs for sports as I would imagine futbol/soccer would be a big thing but in lieu of that, the Knicks game was on! Awesome! Waiters were attentive and I think the owner or manager stepped in a bunch of times to help us. Sweets after were delicious. Flan had this homemade whipped cream and caramel sauce and the molten chocolate souflee wasn’t really molten but it was delicious! The whipped cream actually had more flavor than the ice cream which was really fun. Will definitely head back here next time I was a steak. Total gem!
I was looking forward to a steak whilst in NYC and decided to try here as my experience in Argentina is they cook great steaks. I wasn't disappointed, steak was cooked perfectly and I'm sure was more generous in weight than indicated. It's a small, busy restaurant with tables quite close together but don't let that put you off as it's definitely worth a visit.
My second home. Thanks to the Whole Crew Ismael The Boss, Pato, Mauro, Julio, Cornelio always taking care of me and my family. Best Argentinian Restaurant In NYC
We showed up with many friends, but they seated us right away and served us well. The place is spotless and costs are reasonable. The manager combines professionalism with kindness. The food tastes fresh and comes arranged elegantly. This restaurant warrants checking out.
Walked in here randomly for a quick lunch bite and was immediately feeling welcomed and warmth from the servers. They didn’t have the soup ready just yet but they offered me some bread and wine on the house. Just based off how good the chimichurri is I knew I was ready to come back here for dinner another time. I tried the empanadas and they are HUGE, definitely filling and hits the spot.
We celebrate my son's birthday, I had never heard of Buenos Aires the restaurant before . Everything thing was wonderful, the service, the food the sangria! So glad we came we had appetizers and the special lunch. Highly recommend it and everything about it .the waiter's were wonderful 😊
It was an fantastic experience! The waiters were awesome great food and service ! Will come back again !
In all honesty I never really tasted Argentinian food and I feel lucky to have found Buenos Aires. They offered us next level service with attention to details. I ended up going there two days in a row. The streak was cooked to perfection and the lobster was really fresh when served. Its a ideal place soccer fans, this place is really inspired by Argentinian soccer team. It might get really busy during weekend, so always reserve in advance.
Great steak and portions for appetizers. Excellent wine selection and pour size. Will definitely return when I’m in the city!
The casual sporty ambiance is very chill. It’s certainly not like a sports bar even though there is a ton of sports memorabilia, but a nice spot to sit down, eat and enjoy. The shrimp in garlic sauce was amazing, and tasted so fresh. The fries with garlic and parsley paired so well with the skirt steak. The spicy chorizo was also divine. The salad was refreshing. The complimentary bread was so soft. And the dark amethyst Malbec which came at the recommendation of the waiter was chef’s kiss. The staff and owner of the restaurant were also incredibly friendly and welcoming. I will definitely be going back and recommending this place to everyone I know. What a treasure.
Mauro took care of us great. Excelente service, even better food, love the dulce de leche pancake!
Been here a few times. As an Argentinian is very important for me to take my significant others to a good place so I can show a piece of my home. This place has the best entraña in NYC. The team is very nice and always give us accurate recommendations for wine. Extra points to the hostess cause she’s always very welcoming and find me a table with no reservations no matter where (ideally try to make one but they already know me so they help me) ,I really appreciate that. I will always be back , one of my favorite places in town🩷 bravo!
What a great place! I’m so happy I found this restaurant, I will definitely be back. The food is delicious and their homemade chimichurri sauce is to die for. But not only that, their also homemade dulce de leche is everything and beyond — and the best part is that you can actually purchase some jars and take it home with you. The prices are great and completely reasonable. Staff is 10/10, very nice gentlemen. Absolutely love it!
Only place in the world where you can walk into a restaurant and not here the native language but see the huge cultural diversity of new york city! This is definitely a place to visit in NY. You can just walk in and see the culture. Service and food was both absolutely amazing. I am a local nyker and definitely will come back to this restaurant. My service Juan was great!
This is by far the best Argentinian Steak House of NYC ever ! Best food, best price, best service ! Best everything ! The consistence on the food quality over the years is just unbelievable by now! Owner it’s always there making sure everyone has an amazing experience!!!!! By far my favorite Restaurant of NYC!
Amazing experience!!!!!! You transport to Buenos Aires Argentina the minute you arrive! The staff is excellent, real trained waiters, the food quality is top notch, the atmosphere is fantastic! Words can’t describe! It’s worth every penny! Tip: save space for the desserts!!!
I was there tonight it was very cold but Mauro, Patrick and David make my kids feel so comfortable making sure we were not cold. The customer service is just amazing I wish I can give them 5 stars more. The Food was amazing it came quick, it was delicious, the coffee and desserts great! Congratulations to the Chef and Staff I’ll be back for sure. 🙏❤️🙏
Went there for my son's birthday. Atmosphere was perfect for my soccer loving son. The grass-fed Argentinian beef was like butter. Great service and they sent us home with treats.
I highly recommend Buenos Aires. The Owner is a fantastic guy very friendly 💯. The Staff is professional and Courteous. I go for grilled Ribeyes and they’re mouth watering. Prices are quite reasonable. Ambience down to earth and friendly. Ole Pertet Kenyan
Excelente place. We went for a birthday party and we had a wonderful experience. The service was outstanding! We ordered appetizers , prosciutto with mozzarella di buffalo, chorizo picante , salad, raviolis with cheese and eye rib steak and everything was perfect. For desert we ordered chocolate lave cake and flan with dulce de leche. They sang happy birthday to my husband and ensured we had a great experience. Every dish we ordered was outstanding. Also options for wine was extensive. The ambiance was great. If I can give this place 10-stars I would. Please try this place out. You will agree with my review. Thank you Patricio and all the other individuals who serviced us as well.
One of the best Argentine steakhouses I’ve been to in NYC, I had a fabulous meal here. I love the vibe - lively but very homey. They do have a couple of tvs and imagine this place can get pretty wild when an Argentinean soccer match is on. Service was friendly and the food was great. Notably they do carry Argentine beef. They were out of picanha on my visit but the ribeye I ordered was perfectly cooked and delicious. The empanadas were also excellent as was the flan with dulce de leche. I will return!
I came two times in one week, both time are recommended by someone. All I did was followed their decision, so I'd say it definitely got it's reputation of a good steak house. Service great, the steak is perfect with rare, and their sauce is just wonderful and keep the mouth fresh and not tired. For sure it's the place I'd recommend.
The best service I’ve received in all my years in NYC. The food was OUTSTANDING. Servers were incredibly attentive, even gave us complementary dishes. Ordered ribeye which was next level. Great wine selection, Argentinian Malbec was outstanding from El Enemigo. Will be coming back.
We had an incredible time at Buenos Aires watching the Super Bowl with friends — everything was amazing from start to finish! The atmosphere was lively and perfect for the game, the food was packed with rich Argentine flavors, and the wine list complemented every dish beautifully. A huge shoutout to our waiter, Julio, whose friendly, attentive service made the night even more enjoyable. We’ll definitely be back soon — highly recommend this spot for great food, great drinks, and unforgettable service!
My wife took me here for my birthday. Came on Friday night at 8:30 our server was Mauro who was excellent and went above and beyond. My wife and I got an order of the beef empanadas (the order brings 2, had 1 each) as an appetizer with the chimichurri the empanadas were awesome, but the chimichurri was missing a little something in flavor. We both got a 12oz Argentine ribeye cooked medium which was unbelievable, nice and crisp on the outside of the steak and juicy in the inside, sides are separate and we got steamed broccoli and mashed potatoes which were good, but the steak was the star. Mauro and some of the staff sang me a happy birthday and brought me a little desert, which I greatly appreciate. I will definitely be back at Buenos Aires, next time I am in NYC.
I have no words to describe the excellent quality of the meat, accompanied by the outstanding service from the staff. We will definitely return on our next visit. I almost forgot to mention the excellent quality of their Trumpeter wine — it was very good. I highly recommend this restaurant without hesitation. I give it a perfect score of 5 out of 5 start.
Good food but a glass of red wine was $23 or $60/bottle - crazy money. Food was more reasonably priced. Some of the current menu pics are outdated. Lots of character. Meat was cooked as requested. I would return again!
Absolutely exceptional experience! I’ve been to Buenos Aires restaurant years ago and I’m glad to report that it has not changed if anything was better than my last experience. The food was excellent and truly the closest you can get from the real experience in South America. Patricio, our server, went above and beyond checking in on us and making us feel at home! This place is such a hole in the wall kind of gem in NYC let’s keep it that way.
We hosted a large private dinner here with a big group of academics, and it was genuinely one of the best group dining experiences I’ve had in NYC. Patrick managed a ton of people (and a lot of moving parts) but somehow still made everyone feel personally taken care of; he was attentive, organized, and so fun to interact with all night. The food was phenomenal across the board. The steak was outstanding, the bread was dangerously good, and the sauce that came with it was chef’s kiss. And the dulce de leche dessert was absolutely to die for. We even had multiple Argentinians in our group and they were seriously impressed... high praise! Everyone had an amazing time, and the whole restaurant felt warm, lively, and special. Can’t recommend enough—thank you Patrick and team!
Have lived in NYC for almost 20 years and have an Argentine wife. We’ve tried literally every Argentine restaurant in the city over the years - and always come back to Restaurant Buenos Aires. It’s the best and most authentic Argentine restaurant in NYC and has been for many years. Yes, prices are higher - but that’s everywhere, and in comparison you still get good value for money. The Parrillada for 2 could in truth feed 4 very easily. The steaks are cooked perfectly, and have great flavor. Service is outstanding - very attentive and welcoming, and (as in Argentina) never ever make you feel rushed. If you want the real thing, travel to Argentina. If you want to experience an Argentine grill here in the US, come to Restaurant Buenos Aires - always the best.
I was there with my family for dinner and it was a tremendous experience. The meat was really good and the service even better. They were lovely and you felt comfortable when in their hands. You deserve a break, go get that steak!🥩
The modest size means staff can focus on quality interactions. The workers provided outstanding attention to detail. The menu delivers with servers who pay attention. Our visit to this restaurant was remarkable! Buenos Aires demonstrates professional execution.
This used to be by far my favorite meat restaurant in NY, and is still a very solid option. The only thing that has changed is that we used to know the waiters but there has been a bit of turnover which makes the welcoming a bit less personal. That being said, the meat there is very very solid for a steakhouse in NYC, while being on the relatively affordable range (for a steakhouse). I highly recommend the empanadas for the appetizers (any of them, but I do love the cheese/onion one), the provoleta is a solid option as well (but obviously a bit heavy on the stomach!), and as for the meat I always go for the entrana and the ojo de bife, both being super tasty and good. My only small complaint is the wine list - there used to be more choices, and I wish sometime that they would offer corkage fee as I am a bit wine enthusiast and sometime would rather bring my own bottle (even if I pay a fee for it) and enjoy better wine than classic cab / malbec. But overall solid option, and always one of my go-to in NYC for a steak.
The steak is absolutely delicious every time we go. You can really taste the quality in every bite. The crew is amazing, warm, attentive, and genuinely kind. Highly recommend for anyone who appreciates great food and even better hospitality!
This place has been around for more thaan 20 years, and you can really feel the heart in everything they do. Went for a late lunch with my dad — the chicken was a bit dry, so we mentioned it to the waiter. The owner came right over, apologized, comped our whole meal. That kind of honesty and kindness is rare these days! The restaurant is warm and cozy with soft music, and you always feel welcome. Their blood sausage tasted just like what I used to have at my Ukrainian grandparents’ with a touch of Argentina, chimichuri sauce. They’ve been such an important part of the community, and they truly deserve our support. Please go visit them — they’re really great and make you feel welcomed and cared.
Excellent food. We ordered different types of steak and each were amazing, just like everything else (morcilla, mollejas, dessert). Everyone is extremely nice, we had a great service from Mauro. Could not recommend more!
as a former food journalist based in Italy, I really loved my experience at Buenos Aires!!! truly, a warm inviting unpretentious atmosphere with excellent fresh tasty food from start to finish’s!!! I’ve been searching for a great grass-fed piece of meat Clean , hormone free and Buenos Aires specializes in this! Everything was flawless and I’m a fairly tough critic. I would go back time and time again. The owner is a captivating gentleman, who delights in feeding people well and connecting new friends! I loved starting with the toasted warm bread and tasty surprises , I had the flank steak spinach snd garlic and the flan , which was authentic and delicious-/I only wish I had remembered to order the fresh-watercress avocado salad! Thank you for a lovely experience. I almost turned around and came back the next day because I was craving it again!!!
We had such an amazing time at Buenos Aires! We found it on google while looking for a good steak and we were NOT disappointed. The service was some of the best I have received in NYC, thank you Patricio, Oscar, and Julio! The food was to die for, the steak perfectly seasoned and the best wine pairing per Patricio’s recommendation. We will most definitely be back. Best place in LES!
It was amazing, felt like back home, I really appreciate. Service the wait staff was delightful. It’s been a long time that I been to a restaurant and people pay attention to detail. Service industry is not like before anymore well Patricio and he’s team are trained very well. Thank you 😊 from the kitchen all the way to the owner. It was an honer. Viva Buenos Aires
I like this place because it’s small and intimate. It has a very cultural aesthetic to it that makes it feel real at home. The staff is super nice, helpful and caring. The food I ordered was not as good, I ordered the pesto fettuccine shrimp pasta and the shrimp texture was very weird. Like the shrimp were old, because it just felt really mushy. The steak & mash was great as well as the French fries with garlic and parsley. I won’t be ordering seafood there anymore but I’ll explore the menu more next time.
Well, it's "cozy" so be ready to snuggle up with your date/neighbor. Service can be a bit slow, took me 20 minutes to get my drink & water and it was only half full. They ended up bringing the wrong whiskey from the one I ordered. Worked out tho, it was the nicer than the one I ordered. The steak though, phenomenal. It melts in your mouth better than a $100 steak would. I'm definitely biased to an Argentinian-grilled steak, but this was worth every penny.
Huge portions. Went for pre theater dinner at Lower East Side Arts center. Service could have been a little faster since we indicated show time. Good steak, sides.
Tiny restaurant and you have to wait food quite a while if it’s busy. Interior is all about soccer and Maradona. Staff are friendly and they made us discount on steak it was little bit uncooked. Overall- I would recommend to go there once. You should definitely try Argentinian wines.
We came here one time, for takeout. It was pretty busy. There was a little mix up / confusion with our order at first when we arrived to pick up our order. The food, lomito sandwich, milanesa sandwich, and empanadas were all very good, especially the lomito. It is pretty pricy, and I did not realize the sandwiches did not come with add-ons (apparently I ordered the base sandwiches without add-ons). Will definitely be back if we are in the area again.
This was another special birthday dinner. Buenos Aires has been on the list so perfect timing to go. The i comfortable interior with long rows of tables and noise level good for conversation. Walls decorated with all sort of items relating to the home country. Service was friendly, he got our drinks and appetizers to start. Started with the empanadas and chorizos. The empanada was fine. Flaky pastry exterior filled with ham & cheese. The chorizo was well that. The steak came on a plate with just that. A steak on a plate. It is a meat heavy menu, no surprises there. They did have some fish option for two of our friends and he noted tasted pretty good. The rest of the meal was uneventful. They did bring out the cake for the birthday girl which was a nice touch. Buenos Aires had a fun, casual ambiance. Eating area was comfortable and noise level was reasonable for conversation without having to raise our voices. The food was solid, and steaks was good with some options for the non-meat eaters in a group because you know there is always one or two these days.
It seems like it gets packed so I would try to make reservations. There was some things they did really great and some things I passed on, not because they weren't good, just because they weren't my thing. All of the appetizers were amazing and if you're going just for strak you love it. I also highly recommend their spicy sausage. It's one of the best I've had. Overall highly recommend this place.
I visited last Friday for a company celebration lunch. We had the entire back room, which felt like a private oasis. The service was absolutely wonderful! The atmosphere was "victorious" (think Argentina)—you’ll understand exactly what I mean once you visit. Because we were a large group, the food took a bit longer than expected, and my steak had cooled down by the time it arrived. However, the Pollo Organico al Champignon was delicious; my coworkers saw it and immediately had "order envy." I suspect if you come in a smaller group of 2 or 4, the steak would be perfect. Overall, a great experience. Go Messi!
This place has a strange vibe to it. It looks cozy, quaint and warm but the feeling disappears as soon as you sit down. Menu is gargantuan, convoluted and servers are not very helpful in explaining the meanders of Argentinian meat terminology. We were pretty much left alone in guessing what each dish really was. I noticed that it also helps to get a better, more attentive service if you happen to speak Spanish. There are many steak places in NY. I don’t think I will be returning.
I don't understand the ratings for this restaurant. The service is excellent. However, the food is significantly more expensive compared to the quality offered at other, more affordable places. The price-to-value is relatively poor. Additionally, they added more than 5% to the bill because we used credit cards to pay, which isn't clearly stated on the menu.
Came here for my brother’s birthday, as my family is Argentinian. Was very disappointed. Service: Very slow on a Thursday evening. Appetizers (6 empanadas) took over 30 minutes, and our entrees another 20! Although they knew we were here for my brother’s birthday, no one even wished him a happy day - let alone offer to take a photo or give him a little treat. Food was MEDIOCRE. I ordered an Argentinian steak, it was extremely overcooked - what a way to ruin imported meat… I cooked better steak as a first year college student with literally no cooking experience. I expected the meat to be the “star of the show” and remind me of home, but alas. The photo speaks for itself. The pasta dishes were nothing special either - my mom’s ravioli wasn’t firm enough, kind of falling apart in the sauce which I’d rate a 3/10. Dessert also wasn’t impressive - the dulce de leche ice cream tasted the same as (or even worse) than grocery-store quality. I will say the decor of the restaurant was pretty awesome, and overall good ambiance towards the back of the restaurant. Although the server turned off one of the TVs mid- soccer game right before Argentina scored against Chile…. Will NOT be returning and certainly DON’T recommend coming here for any special occasion.
I’ve been here several times and always enjoyed it, great food, great service, no complaints there. But on my last visit, I was surprised at how much the prices have jumped. I ordered a milanesa with French fries and a Sprite, and the bill came out to almost $56, Fries alone were listed at $12, which honestly feels a bit much and excessive. I get that it’s Manhattan, but come on, it’s the Lower East Side, not Times Square. The quality and service are still solid, but at those prices, I’ll have to think twice before coming back. Might start exploring other spots in the area next time.
I really wanted to love this restaurant, especially given its great reviews, but unfortunately, I was disappointed. Pollo Empanada - Not sure if there was a mix-up, but the filling contained egg and a whole olive... not my preference. Spinach Empanada - My favorite! Creamy, cheesy, and absolutely delicious. Highly recommend ordering this one. Langostinos Argentinos al Ajillo - There seemed to be some confusion between langostinos and camarones--I was definitely served shrimp, not prawns. I've had much better camarones al ajillo elsewhere; these lacked flavor and felt bland??? Parrillada Buenos Aires for Two - This was heavy on the sausages, which weren't the highlight for me. The Angus short rib was juicy and well-prepared, but the "skirt steak" was definitely not a skirt steak cut. It was dry and underseasoned, which was disappointing. Even the chimichurri was a bland! :/ Flan con Crema, Dulce de Leche o Mixto - The flan itself was decent, but it lacked the creamy, silky texture. The service was good. I had a mojito that was decent and a caipirinha that was quite strong. Overall, this experience was a letdown, and I probably wouldn't return or recommend it. If you're looking for great Argentinian food, Libertador is a much better option!
I rarely leave negative reviews, but this experience was disappointing enough to warrant one. I visited last Saturday, and from start to finish, it was underwhelming. First off, the service was incredibly slow—even though the place was only half full. We waited over 20 minutes just to get water, and another 30 for our appetizers, which arrived cold. Our server seemed more interested in chatting with coworkers than checking on tables. The food itself was bland and overpriced. Overall was a huge letdown. Definitely not worth the hype or the price. I won’t be returning, and I can’t recommend it to others either.
Definitely this is not a BBQ. The meat was over cooked, we told them that we want it 3/4 and it was too dry. They change our meat, and they said: we are going to cook it “medium”, please look at the picture and tell me what do you think. Expensive for what it is, don’t waste your money.
Was excited to try out a local steakhouse, but was very disappointed. Walked in and no one was there to seat us for 10 minutes. It didn’t smell very pleasant, a bit like an old locker room. The food itself was very bad. Wait was also long for subpar food. Got empanadas for starter, I’m not Gordon Ramsey but they were 200% microwaved. My friend and I got ribeyes, rare for me and medium for him. Literally 2 steaks and that’s it. Yet the waiter completely mixed our steaks up, which we noticed after starting to eat. Waiter didn’t ask once how our food was or if we needed anything else. If you want anything besides the already overpriced small steak, you have to pay money. Not a single complementary side of even mashed potatoes or fries, which is laughable for a “steakhouse”. I wouldn’t eat here again even if every other restaurant in Manhattan was closed. Leave alone for 70 bucks per person.
The food was undercooked. My friend and I ordered ribeyes, one cooked medium rare and one medium. The waiter mixed up our steaks. My friend is very anti-blood, so he was very disappointed with having to eat a bloody steak. The atmosphere smelled unpleasant. The waiter was too busy to take our order promptly. The appetizer seemed like it was from the microwave and smelled like sweat. The food was overpriced. We paid $200 for two steaks and two empanadas. Maybe it’s the neighborhood, but as true New Yorkers we felt like we were mistreated. I would rather go to Mac Donalds.
Terrible experience! I came here with my husband to celebrate his birthday and it was such a disappointment. Prices are extremely high! I understand it’s NYC, nothing is cheap, but for what they serve you can definitely find much better restaurants. The waitress messed up my order—I even showed her a picture on Google of what I wanted, and after waiting 50 minutes she brought me a completely different dish. I didn’t send it back because I was starving, but the food was so greasy I couldn’t even eat it. The chimichurri was extremely oily as well. My husband ordered a chicken milanesa and the tomato sauce was awful. $34 for a milanesa and they didn’t even include a side!! At least the empanadas were good:)But definitely not worth it.
