The staff and environment was so calming and peaceful. The food was so delicious! We gotta come back for our sons treatments and will be coming back!
Great food, great service, great prices! We got the chicken burrito and the chicken tacos and everything was perfect. Recommended!
Best burrito I’ve ever had in my entire life
Food was really good, service was good. The shrimp tacos were amazing n comes with a side of rice n beans which was also good.
Food was amazing. Very fresh!! Staff is very friendly. Prices are affordable, service was fast and its a must try!!
Yes, a five star. Really great food. I've had their great Mexican food previously and this evening had the Mexican Hamburger. Nice and spicy with jalepeños. Also ordered a nice side of beans and rice. Great food, great service, and thanks for all the good COVID public health precautions. Will definitely be coming back
The food is so good I order from them all the time the service is great rice and peas and tacos you just can't get enough of. I have found the perfect place to dine at. Thank you. Lolita Kitchen...Vera Terry
I went there for a quick dinner before a program at the 92nd St. Y. It's a nice place only a block or two away. I started off with a strawberry margarita ($6). It was fresh and tasty. I paired it with the carnitas burrito which was divine ($8). The pork was tender and lean, and full of flavor. It came with salad greens on the side topped with a light vinaigrette. My only gripe was not enough dressing. For reasonably priced, authentic Mexican fare on the upper East Side, I highly recommend this spot. I will definitely be back on my next visit to the Y!🍹🍽🙂
You'll find the sweetest souls working here, providing you with the best food in town, especially the burritos are to die for! Definetly my new favorite "go to place" for getting your money's worth.. Thank you Laura and Maria.
Excelente! Delicious food, casual atmosphere. Had the fish tacos and chicken enchiladas which were both great!
Amazing nachos! Delicious tacos! Really good service! Their lunch menu is also very budget friendly. I only have sat in. Never tried take out.
Great service, friendly staff. I had the 2 beef tacos. Fabulous 👌 I enjoyed a Margarita also delicious. Very clean and welcoming.
Quick visit from Boston, Stopped into Lolitas for a quick bite before driving back! Food and drinks were authentic and tasty. Hospitality was top notch. Locals filled the restaurant at lunch time, if that doesnt say enough then im not sure what will!
My sis & I googled nearest restaurant to our location. Such a hidden gem! It's not a huge restaurant. The food is fresh, seasoned well and taste so good! I ordered a quesadilla & burritos to go for the lil ones & I. The drink was also good.
Great place. Amazing stuff.
Went to lolita's for early dinner on Friday night. Excellent food. We ordered the guac, pollo al ajillo, camarones a la Diabla y enchiladas en salsa Verde everything was delicious. Prices are fair for NYC.
We googled for a burger place and this showed up, so we decided to give it a try. What a find! We ended up eating burritos, quesadillas and tortas, and they were all delicious! Staff were supper friendly!
Lovely people that not only offered exceptional service, but also serve very authentic Mexican food... Which is quite honestly scarce here in NYC. Portion is good, and place is clean. Not so much room for big parties, but I advise that you try it!
Really loved the chicken breast special and just really nice service. The ingredients where quality and delicious. The price was really affordable and a real value.
The carne asada tacos we litterly the best tacos and the restraunt was nice and our server was great they did kinda took a long time for the bill but great place to eat👍
Steak burrito never misses. Their green sauce is really good.
One of the best burritos I’ve had for a really good price. Service was very good as well
I’ve walked by this inviting cafe many times and finally stopped in for dinner with a friend. We had chicken fajitas and it was delicious! The staff was welcoming and friendly and took great care of us. I highly recommend this lovely, cozy cafe for authentic Mexican food!
I got the Mexican burger and was shocked… it was very good.. highly recommend!!! My wife ordered the chicken enchiladas and said they were terrific… great stop off for lunch for us,
So cute and great fish tacos! 5pm on a Monday and it was empty. Hostess was super friendly and attentive. Definitely coming here again.
We only stopped in for a sangria, but we saw what other people were eating and we will definitely be back to try the food. Servers are very good, very friendly, and the atmosphere is nice.
The atmosphere is amazing. Drinks Devine. Bartender Tania is soooo fun! Great time!
The food is absolutely amazing! The chef knows just the right blend of spices to use to give you the authentic cultural flavor. The staff is phenomenal and down to earth. From the moment you sit down until you leave, they are nothing short of friendly and accommodating, making you feel like family. Highly recommend if you’re visiting New York City
We chose this place randomly while walking to something else, and it worked out super well. We sat outside and ordered tacos/ tostadas/quesadillas, and everything came out quick and tasted great. Our server was nice and the vibe of the outdoor space is great (didn't go in so can't comment on that).
Stumbled on this place by accident and isn't that how you always find the best places? Had the Burger Mexicana and it was excellent. I also followed the advice of a previous reviewer and got the peanut butter smoothie and it was excellent too. Great value for money as well and a good outside setup if that's important.
Great food and super staff! Come here every week for their chicken and ground beef burritos because they're so flavorful and filling. Quick turnaround- Would recommend for breakfast, lunch, and/or dinner if you're hungry!
I had the avocado burger and the mango Margherita to drink and both were delicious. Very friendly, laid back atmosphere with indoor and outdoor seating options. I would definitely come back again the next time I'm in the area.
My friend and I grabbed lunch here today! The drinks were great! We had the Passionfruit and mango margaritas. I ordered the guacamole burger for myself, and my friend got fish tacos. Both were delicious! Service was super fast and friendly! And you can’t beat the price!! I highly recommend this place!
We were around the corner with kids and decided to stop by and are so happy we did. They were wonderful with our family! We will definitely be back
Truly such an amazing place!! Our server Angie was a sweetheart and made us feel right at home. The drinks were amazing and the tacos were some of the best I’ve had in the city. Well worth the visit and we will be back!
I came here after work and had an amazing time. My waitress Giselle was a gem, great service and very attentive. Food was great and the drinks were strong. Will be returning.
Johanni was an excellent bartender and advocate for Lollitas. We were well taken care of during our 2 hour visit.
Excellent service, the place is very nice, I love the atmosphere and the Delicious food
Celebrated my bday party at Lolita’s. Was amazing highly recommend for a private party or if you just crave for really good Mexican food:) everyone loved it! The atmosphere we had our own room which was amazing, food was so good and great service. Owners are super friendly and kind they really made it very special.
Lolita’s Kitchen NYC is such a great find! The chips and guacamole were fantastic—fresh, flavorful, and perfectly seasoned—and the guacamole hamburger was absolutely delicious. The staff were friendly and welcoming, and the whole atmosphere had a perfect mix of NYC energy, authentic character, and local neighborhood charm. A great spot for anyone looking for amazing food and a warm, genuine vibe. I’ll definitely be coming back!
The lunch special I had was the grilled steak with rice and salad. It was cooked perfectly, well seasoned, and delicious. It also came with a drink for under $20. Service was fast and the server was courteous.
Food was good. Ordered a chipotle burger and was pleasantly surprised with the kick. Wife had a chicken avocado salad and thought it was well made. Good spot. Worth checking out.
Good food and presentation, and nice place and staff. Portions were definitely small for the price, but it's the UES. Realized many people treat it like a restroom stop; even with that, they keep it really clean!
Great food reasonable prices. Their guacamole is fantastic! I had the tacos and my kids had the enchiladas. Definately recommend...Oh the margaritas were great as well.
Good Mexican food … no frills, decent prices. Not the best for bigger groups (not a ton of seating)
Nice lunch spot we visited after Guggenheim. My wife had carnitas tostadas and I had fish tacos and we loved both, loved their salsas (red and green they brought with tacos). Rather than typical fried fish tacos this was not fried and really good. My son had chipotle burger which he enjoyed. All fresh and delicious. Service very friendly
We stopped by for a late lunch. The iPad menu was a little difficult to use. It didn't allow us to make meat item choices. But our waitress was able to put in orders for us.
Scrumptious food, friendly staff, and pleasant location. A local favorite "hole in the wall". All the burritos I've had are fantastic. They're very quick but can get backed up at lunch. Currently they have tables outside. Very cute but a loud street Overall no complaints and would return when I'm around and recommend it.
The food was very good (especially the salsa), the service was slow and the outside seating looked nice, but we sat inside.
The margaritas are good here but the tacos were not my favorite! The shell was too hard and the beef was alright.
The food was very good and the dining room was decorated beautifully withe a pretty arch on the right hand side when entering. I had the tres tacos (with chicken) when I had gone, and it was every bit as flavorful as it looked.
Very charming restaurant. The service was pretty slow and the place was empty, which was semi appreciated to feel like we weren’t being kicked out as soon as we were done, but we had places to be. I ate a chicken quesadilla which is a solid choice, a hard thing to mess up, and this one didn’t disappoint.
The food was nice. We got a jalapeño margarita and a coconut margarita to start the meal. Both drinks were nice, but a bit smaller than I expected. Then we got a Mexican burger w/ fries and a chimichurri steak w/ bean&rice. The burger was very nice. The steak was delicious, but the beans were too watery and the rice was a bit hard. The spinach and shallot were very good. Overall, it was a nice meal.
Great little place off the beaten path , felt as if I was living nearby and visiting my favourite lunch spot :) . Had the guac&chips and chorizo burrito, very tasty - the chips for the guac was home made and great. The burrito comes already split in two pieces and was good and had just enough stuffing. Service was friendly and fast. Overall good spot and would recommend.
When the lunchtime crowd consists mostly of Spanish-speaking workers from the neighborhood, you know this place is for the value-conscious diner seeking good food. For lunch, $7 gets you 2 tacos (which would each cost $5 in most other places). The best part of the appetizer sampler is the chicken wing which is cooked in their secret sauce. It has a slightly peppery and smoky sour tang which is quite unique, and not your typical sweet barbecue sauce. This place is not fancy but the air conditioning could be improved though.
I had the pleasure to visit this restaurant today after work as a take out for teacher appreciation week. I love the Mexican vibes that the place entails in their simple decor. The food was delicious and freshly made. However, the reason why I am giving it 4/5 stars is because of portion, and price. I paid $30 for just this. I won't visit again.
The food was very delicious and authentic. The restaurant is nicely decorated and romantic. However, the portions are quite small for the price. We were also a little upset that they didn’t have Horchatas considering this is a Mexican restaurant. They didn’t carry any diet sodas either, at least when we ate there, so we ended up drinking water. Nonetheless, we enjoyed our dinner here.
It is cheaper to order online than to call for pick up or eat at the restaurant!! I called and placed an order pickup. When I arrived to pickup the food I noticed they charged me $8 more than if I would’ve paid online through DoorDash or Seamless (what I thought I would pay based off the online menu). They said they charged me the prices that are on the menu in the restaurant which has higher prices than the menu online. They further went on to say that the reason it’s more expense is because if you call for pick up or eat in, and you happen to order a burger like I did, you actually get an 8oz “premium beef” burger. However, it’s cheaper if you do it online because despite the online menu saying it’s an “8oz premium beef” burger, what they are actually serving is a “regular, frozen” patty. Similarly, if you place a burrito order over the phone or eat in, they said you get more meat vs ordering online through DoorDash or some other service. I suggested that it would be better to align the menu prices and serve the same quality/quantity food to all customers. Well see. The food was great though! I’ll just order online next time.
The staff was extremely friendly and I liked the music and atmosphere. The food was unfortunately not good. Ordered the burrito and paid extra for steak. Plenty of rice but barely any beans, guacamole, or steak. There was no seasoning and was very bland. Maybe I just caught them on an off day or just ordered the wrong meal. I still like this place, just won’t order the burrito ever again.
Great service! Alex and Roberto were amazing bartenders so kind and attentive. The only downside was the new calamari, which was a bit disappointing compared to the old version. The original was much better I really hope it comes back!
The waitress was not very pleasant. She had a face of "I dont want to serve you. She had an attitude. Never came back to ask if we needed anything else. And the food. I had the shrimp fajita, and it was just boiled shrimp with tomato sauce. No flavor at all of any source. Really first time I eat there and will be my last. And for all this reason I give it a 2 star. Sorry....
This what you can get for almost 16 $. Yes, the price of Philly steak 🥪 on Google maps is the "lunch time" one. It will be wiser to mentioned it on the site instead of telling it when the customer asks you for why the price is not the same. I didn't like the bread, the meat. No cheese 🧀 inside and even with ketchup, the taste is not better. I hope to experience a better Philly steak 🥪 at New-York.
Good food. Very delicious burgers. I don't enjoy getting fleeced though regardless of how much money it is. I got the soda drink. It said Lunch - 3.50 and dinner - 5.00. Fine, dinners are usually more expensive in most places anyway. I got here at 12pm and I was charged 5 dollars because apparently lunch starts at 1pm. Really...?
This was disappointing. I am sure they over charged me because I bought Nachos for 11 and added steak (as it came with no meat) and ended up being charged $20. The food also did not taste fresh, the cheese certainly wasn’t good, meat was chewy and I got food poisoning right after. So try at your own risk but keep an eye on your charges.
I have seen dirty bathrooms in restaurant. But this place has one the most dirtiest bathroom. Just one bathroom. Ugly note at the bathroom door regarding to papers. Dirty sink, the toilet lid was not working, standing up and falling. Dirty floor, a little soap which was diluted by water. Door had bad knob. How much is the cost of a nice bathroom even if not customer use it still clean bathroom is a big factor. If the bathroom is this much dirty I would not trust the food. No paper in the bathroom No napkin on the table Not clean dishes!
Ordered online ON THEIR WEBSITE. went to pick up 45 min later with hungry kids at home. They said that if you order online you have to call in also, they otherwise don't get the order! I told them to cancel the $100 order I made and they told me to contact their website. I try to reach the website, which is nearly impossible. So now I have to cancel with my credit card. They weren't even very apologetic, acted like I should know if I make an online order to call in too. So frustrated. They can't cancel their own order on their own website??? Wasted over an hour of my time and now I go to work and family has no dinner.
Food is good, staff are rude and borderline racist. They also charge a credit card service fee eating in the restaurant, and don’t disclose the fee until you receive the check (which is illegal). Don’t eat here.
ROTTEN FOOD. I just ordered a salad, and the cucumbers were incredibly sour/tart and unsafe to eat… to the point that they tasted rotten. They agreed to remake it for me “without the chicken”, but after the cashier spoke to the female owner, the female owner gave me pushback and basically told me that they peeled their cucumbers fresh every day, rather than checking on the cucumbers from my plate. Horrible customer service. They clearly thought I was trying to get a free meal so I just told them that I didn’t want it and walked out. I paid nearly $30 for salad, chips and diet coke plus 10% tip for counter service. Huge waste of money. Will never return. I didn’t want another salad because I honestly didn’t trust the food safety of my meal so I left.
I’ve come here a few times and normally have a good experience. Today, I went in to order shrimp enchiladas. The lady asked me which sauce I wanted and I asked which was spicier, red or green. She told me green was spicier so I told her red. I get my food and when I opened the bag once I made it back to the office. I noticed that I was given green sauce. I tried to take one bite, but it was too spicy for me. Regretfully, I took the food back. She was not nice or pleasant from the start. When I explained to her what the mishap was, she rudely said, “Well I heard you say green”. Wow. I was still very patient and even tried smiling. Both ladies that worked the counter were rude and never smiled and never even apologized for the mistake. Horrible! I think it upset me by the way she spoke to me and was dismissive and passive about the situation. If I’m rude, then I can understand the negative attitude in return. But there’s absolutely no reason to be nasty for no freaking reason. She was not nice from the start. There are so many people out here without jobs. If you don’t want to work, then give it up for someone else!! The food is great here, but I can absolutely promise that I will never come back. I will also let my colleagues all know of this experience. Having a bad day, it’s fine. But do not be nasty to customers especially when you’re the one who misheard something and made a mistake. I’m extremely disappointed. Thanks.
Frozen strawberry margaritas were terrible no strawberry taste or enough tequila to taste. No offer to fix it or replace....paid the Full bill and left to Never return 👎
Terrible experience. I ordered a margarita and a mojito…. Awful. My friend also ordered the steak and it had to be remade twice due to the restaurants inability to know how to cook a medium rare steak….. the worst part was that the steak wasn’t touched and the waitress still charged us for a $30 steak that was returned. She proceeded to tell us that she thought the steak was okay so we have to pay for it. She rudely offered to charge us 1/2 off for the steak and we decided to just pay the entire bill (since it wasn’t about the money but the audacity and carelessness). I was mind blown. Customer service was poor, food and drinks were also terrible. Very disappointed.
Very disappointing experience. Started off strong with a tasty fish taco app, but service was excruciatingly slow. The waitress got my order wrong but instead of offering to get me the correct dish they asked me to just eat what they served me at half the price in an effort not to waste food. The food took a long time to come out of the kitchen so I just rolled with it. We ordered both the steak and burger medium but both came out waaay overcooked. We couldn’t figure out whether the restaurant was just having an off day, but the service and food (besides the fish taco) were just bad. Will probably not come back.
They will take your delivery order on Seamless and your money, even though their one delivery person is “on lunch.” Then they stop answering their phone. Avoid.
Went to grab a bite with a friend and it was truly a disappointing experience. The guacamole was decent. I ordered 2 beef hard shell tacos and I can’t even explain what I experienced. It was the most tasteless/unpleasant taco I’ve had in my life. How do you go to a Mexican restaurant and they mess up a taco? The waitress was nice but did not acknowledge my clear dissatisfaction with the food, which would have taken the service from average to exceptional. I walked out of the restaurant down $14 and still hungry. Disappointed to say the least. Steer clear of this place unless you are used to bland and unseasoned food.
I will say that it could be due to the weather and humidity. But when I went to go here for a table of one, the woman server was extremely rude. If you don’t want to work, take time off. Don’t be rude and take that out on potential customers. Was able to go to another restaurant in the area. Hopefully, they’ll do better.
Their food is so good - but we are waiting past close for a pickup order that should have been ready an hour ago! Edit: they forgot a burrito and did not even refund me.
