We enjoyed a delightful meal at Cheddar's Scratch Kitchen. It was very busy, yet the service was quick. The food was well prepared and plated. Our waitress was very attentive and outgoing. I would recommend Cheddar's for family of any size as well.

Best country fried steak Ive had in a while. It gets pretty packed on the weekend but the staff is freindly and go out of their way for you. As busy as it was my food came out pretty quick.

What a wonderful experience! We were seated promptly and our server, Athena, was helpful and attentive. The burgers and salads were first rate with high quality ingredients. Prices are very reasonable especially in view of the great food and service.

I've loved Cheddar's food since the very first time I ever tried it. It reminds me so mu h of food I grew up eating in New York, and brings back so many fond memories. The food is very similar to the food my grandmother used to cook. I love the spinach dip and the bacon cheese mashed potatoes. We were seated in the paddle fan section, and my son was so fascinated by the fan above us.

I dined in at Cheddars on 12-5-2020 and the food was absolutely amazing and fresh. The house salad was great as well as the chips and salsa. I ordered the chicken alfredo pasta with garlic bread and it was absolutely delicious 10 out of 10. I would recommend coming to Cheddars Scratch Kitchen for lunch or dinner.

Cheddar’s in Odessa is always a solid choice for a good meal. The food portions are generous and everything tastes fresh. I really like that the menu has a little bit of everything, so it’s easy to find something for everyone in the family. The service is usually friendly and quick, and the prices are fair for how much food you get. It’s a comfortable place to sit down, relax, and enjoy a nice meal without feeling rushed.

Went a couple of times when it first opened in Odessa and it was completely awful. Food was ehhh and the service was terrible. Have it another shot this week. New Year’s Day …. Chicken fried steak was awful, but service from Clarissa was great. Other food was good and table at other tables looked good so tried again today and had a very good experience combining pretty good food at a reasonable price and as luck would have it received great service once again from Clarissa. May start frequenting it.

If you haven't, you need to try Cheddar's. We were at the Amarillo restaurant our first time and now in Odessa. Such amazing food and service and prices. Our server tonight was Tausha and she's incredible! We had 7 of us in our group tonight and she was right on top of everything. Even after we ended up changing places at our table, she remembered who got what and didn't miss one step! Funny, Smart and AWESOME! And with our grandkids, we ordered extra appetizers and sides and she got it all!

Wow! Perfect customer service skills. Sat at the bar and had drinks with friends. Food was delicious. #1 in my opinion for comfort food. We have the chicken alfredo with broccoli and the key West chicken and shrimp and both were really yummy!! Wisconsin cheese bites for an appetizer we're really good too and of course they're croissants are something to always look forward to. Our waitress Nadia C. was awesome. She did a great got checking in and getting us refills. The manager is a sweetheart and went around to all the tables asking how we are. I can only speak for the meal I had during my visit. Ordered fish - was brought a baked fish? Along with mashed potatoes and green beans. I prefer fried fish, the green beans were too sweetened with sugar I think, but mashed potatoes with gravy were awesome! Will try again but will order the fried fish next time... No green beans ☺️

The food was tasty and the staff was friendly, but our food was a little cold by the time we got it. This was most likely due to the sheer amount of people that were dining there. One of the managers did come over and ask us if we would like a free dessert in order to compensate for the wait, but we declined. It was a nice gesture though, and great for customer service!

Since I moved here, this has been one of my fave spots to go to. And I strictly go here for the DRINKS!! The food is a great addition, but it is definitely the drinks. My kids and I have a great time.. fave drink is the Maui Margarita. The food is always good. They have some really great servers, but my last visit definitely was not my best. But I know I'll be back because they have great food.

Came here on a Thursday night when it was quite packed and a bit dirty. We witnessed a waitress shuffling trash on the floor with her feet as she was serving, as opposed to anybody cleaning it up. Our food wasn't prepared all that presentable, but it did taste good. Our appetizer, Spinach Dip with Chips, was exceptionally delicious. I would visit again, in the hopes of receiving better customer service. Our waitress was really nice though, don't get me wrong.

Unfortunately me and my husband eat here very often and the last 4 times we have came and ate the service is terrible. Not very attentive. Disappears after appetizers and doesn’t come back until we need a check. I just wouldn’t expect fantastic service. We stopped eating in for a few weeks and right back to not very good service again.

I honestly do love cheddars food, I always get the spinach dip or cheese bites and the key west chicken and shrimp. Last night we sat at the bar and the bartender was obviously busy but we were right in front of the register and we still had to wave her down to order an appetizer and the one drink we got. I’d say no matter how busy you are, you should always find time to acknowledge your customers, especially when you have to stand in front of them to get on your register. She never even attempted to get our food order so we just finished our appetizer and drink and left. I was disappointed. We usually have a better experience here hence the review stars being higher.

The honey butter drizzled over the croissants was the best. The food we ordered was not the best we've had, but not the worst either. Service was good, not great. I doubt we'll be back unless it's a luncheon destination for work or a group.

The waited was very good! She brought croissants right away. However my salad has fried chicken that was tough and uncut, making it difficult to eat. Also, there were large pieces of salad that had not been chopped and several that had brown edges. I think I would go for something other than salad.

The waitress was very nice, but after she brought the food she disappeared. About half an hour later she dropped by quickly and brought the to go boxes we requested, but I never got a ticket and I had a terrible time getting the idiot machine to let me pay the bill. The women next to us had to send her fish back. The restaurant was a complete mess. We will not be returning or recommending. Very dissatisfied and disappointed. Waste of money

I have always liked coming to eat here, but today was little disappointed, first we found a hair in the mashed potatoes, and then my daughter found a piece of metal shaving in her food. We told waitress she apologized and told manager, he dismissed her meal but he could have been more sympathetic and offer dessert or gave us a discount on all the bill. Our service could have been better, didn't get silverware, had to keep asking waitress for refills, she was so busy with others, but she was very nice. I'm sorry to bother you with this but I think a little bit more consideration on service and most importantly the food y'all served. I hope next time we can have a more pleasant time. Thanks

Have eaten at Scratch Kitchen with my husband and friends many times and loved the service and food. However today I went in as a single dinner due to husband recently passing away and I was wanting a good meal with great memories. I requested a booth as I always do. Was shown to bar area after being asked if that would be acceptable . Have eaten there several times due to it being very busy and no booths available. However we passed several empty sitting areas on way to bar. Ordered pecan chicken salad and was good as usual (but way toooo much cheese). I felt I was being down graded due to being by myself and did not deserve to be in main dinning room. I will miss my favorite restaurant but won't be back.

The other table next to us didn’t even get their drinks until after 10 minutes, and we waited 10 minutes as well. The sides for our entrees came out first before our actual appetizer. She checked on us once and didn’t bother to come back to our table. If you can’t handle working a bar and serving tables please have someone help them. Having to wait and stop ANOTHER server for our drinks and bread is absolutely ridiculous.

I thought this place was different but good old Odessa customer service showed its ugly head. We waited close to an hour for our food because they got the order wrong in the kitchen but instead of letting us know we were left to wonder by our server. Maybe if she spent less time on her make up and learn how to be a server that would help. The I asked for bbq sauce on the side which never came so we had to get up and go to the kitchen and ask for it. Our server didn’t even apologize. it is a ripoff. we attempted to pay with the exact change. $30.61. the waitress refused and said if it was cash it would be $31.00 they round up to the next dollar. she said they couldnot accept change. i said i paid the amount of the bill and whether they can count change or not is their problem. the waitress said it would cause her to lose money. i called another cheddars and asked about that policy and was laughed at. they never heard of it. there are no signs indicating such a policy anywhere that was visible to me. Greed is a terrible thing. Beawarw and beware. tnhey also swept the floors all around our tanle. we ate in tje dust.

Had a dinner meal. The food was good, the service was attentive. Pretty much everything about the experience was positive, except for one thing. It was so freezing cold inside the restaurant that I could not even enjoy my meal. I moved around a couple of times but it was still freezing cold inside. It is mid April and the high today was around 82 degrees, so that made it even more unpleasant to go into a restaurant where they had the temp in the low 60s. It was excruciating.

She was told to get back up and wait to be seated. She asked to sit at the bar and was promptly moved to a table. She also told me that the two hostesses are laughing at her. I went to school at Sul Ross State University and used to go to Odessa to get out and see a bigger city. I’ve spent weeks telling my wife and daughter that Odessa doesn’t suck. You all managed to kill that argument in one fell swoop. Congratulations

We were seating instantly and asked what we wanted to drink. They brought the drink relatively quick, but she got one of the drinks wrong. After that, we had ZERO service. They never brought our croissants the entire time we were there and we only ever got refills after over an hour of being here and even then, the waitress STILL got a drink WRONG. Even when the food finally came, it was AWFUL. My dad got chicken and it was probably the worst chicken I’ve ever tasted, so bland and dry. They didn’t have fries, okay sure, but the replacement sides weren’t equal replacements at all. I got a tiny bowl of seasoned rice instead of half a plate of fries. So nobody really left satisfied and full, especially since we DIDNT GET CROISSANTS EVEN AFTER ASKING 3 TIMES! Now we can talk about our waitress. She probably came to us about 3 times within an hour and a half and used dumb language that I can’t imagine using with a customer. She said they were “86 on fires”???? We had to look up what that even meant afterwards. She could’ve just said we don’t have fries. Last comment about her is that when we were waiting on a refill or our croissants or ANYTHING, she was SWEEPING THE FLOOR right next to our table. I can’t imagine coming back at any point in the future.

This is the medium rare chicken my wife was served. Not even on the brink of being done where it’s questionably juicy but where you can still convince yourself to eat it. Straight up pink, raw, cold center, uncooked chicken.

Start to finish. First off I’m a mother and I understand baby sitters flake, but the host had her son in the front around the age five, running around. Got to our booth and the waitress never even came back to refill our drinks the entire time. Got our meal a whole hour later. We asked for lemons and never got the lemons. Honestly this was the worst service ever!!! Not even trying to be a Karen. I asked for my steak to be medium I got it back well done! Didn’t complain because I didn’t get the chance because she never came back to check on us. Horrible don’t eat here might as well go to HEB and buy your self a frozen dinner.

We needed refills and to change a drink order because the water was NOT RO WATER.. It was city water and if you are from here,Odessa water is just nasty and not safe to drink i dont even let my dogs drink it.. but still the table next to us was way more important... food finally arrived and the nice young lady changed the drink order and refilled the other 2 drinks that were at our table.. 3 min after our food arrived A MIRICALE Happened Our waitress showed up i asked for some steak sauce politely and she left again... I waited... and waited.... hit the call server button... waited...... waited .... and waited some more.... After about 15-20 min of waiting for A1 I WAS PISSED... I got up and asked another waitstaff for a manager...manager showed up and (trying my best to keep from yelling at the wrong person) I demanded that my dish be taken off the ticket as my steak and chicken are now cold... I handed the manager my plate... and when being charged for a loaded potato make sure you add everything that goes on a loaded potato ... my dish was removed but honestly I should have just walked out not even paying the remaining balance... But i did only because the other 2 ppl that were with me... ( trying to teach them how to be decent humans,hence the reason I didn't make a big scene and pull out Karen from within.. corporate needs to get involved and invest some time and correct the waitstaff and some of the food that's being served to customers...

Absolutely horrible service, waited 30 minutes to get a waitress to our table. Food was cold. Waste of time and money.

Food was microwaved, poorly at that, but it’s Odessa, there’s no reason to have quality food with the abundance of people who are here working. Why care about quality. Our food was hot and cold at the same time, save your money and go to a food truck, it’s cheaper and it’s actually good food, plus they actually care that you like it. The waitressing staff were good and very apologetic.

Made a special trip to Cheddars in Odessa from Midland because on the website they offered vegetarian options. My mouth was craving the vegetarian Philly. We were seated and while searching the menu there were no vegetarian options at all unless you want a plain salad, fries, onion rings or bread. I don’t eat any animal, chicken or fish, whatsoever. What a disappointment.

The term "piss poor" doesn't even come close to the experience my family and I just had at this establishment if that's what you want to call it. We came to celebrate a birthday and unfortunately that didn't happen, the server was new to the floor (no problem accept for the short attention span). We order our food, as the food arrives, my sister's food (pasta) doesn't have any sauce on it 🤦🏽‍♂️; and my food has a long strain of hair in it. I guess it needed some decoration! I have my server send it back for a remake and of course when I ask for something else they don't have it. Fine just make sure it's recooked please. After waiting for 30 minutes and the family is now done eating, I tell our server to cancel the order keep in mind that the manager on duty has NOT come to the table to address the issue of the hair nor the food that was ready but never came out... After waiting 20 minutes for our check and realizing an error on the ticket, I finally ask for the manager because the server said she couldn't make the change. Manager finally comes out and tells us that the food was ready but that the kitchen was backed up (ma'am please stop), how was the kitchen backed up with all of the little kids running in and out of it? One of those children could have brought me my plate if it was really ready! As a previous manager I would have in this situation offered the option to go but you can't do that if there's no food that's ready but I digress! Yeah I don't think I'll be going back to Cheddar's until everyone is wearing hairnets! And unfortunately I didn't think to take pictures... This wasn't a good experience. 10 out of 10, I don't recommend!

Ordered a steak (MR) got a boot. Watched my family eat and nearly finish their meal before the waitress returned. They were nice enough to remove my meal from the ticket after I sent it back. Grabbed a fast-food burger on the way home. I will not be returning!

A completely dirty facility. I have been here multiple times ignoring the fact that every time I come here the seats and walls are filthy with left over residue of food, and stains of old coke, splashed on the walls. I enjoy the food so I try to ignore the other things. Last time I came I had old food on my silverware and on my friends plate but it was ignored and I asked for a replacement of my cutlery. The seats leave an unpleasant odor on your clothes when you finally get up, I don't know if it was that one seat I had to sit in or what happened but I am hesitant every time I come because I already know what I'm getting into hoping it's not as filthy as last time; It gets filthier every time. I can't say the mess was recent when almost every booth I have sat in is disgusting. Once again the food is good but I can't imagine what kind of kitchen they are running when the facilities are this dirty. The only reason I make this post is because my last visit was terrible. I found what appeared to be mold in my ice and this was enough. Sure enough like always dirty seats full of food and residue of old liquids splashed on the walls convinced me to write this post in hopes that someone can clean the place up. The table was not clean when we sat down and the other customers check was not picked up from the table yet. I asked for the manager to notify of what I found in my food and she apologized and sent the kitchen manager he came and said he apologizes and that they burn their ice every week and deep clean it out. I highly doubt it keeping in mind they can't even keep the tables and chairs, along with the cutlery, clean. After he said that I pointed to the walls and chairs and said look at this he became annoyed and told me have a good one. I am sincerely disgusted by the way this place has no regard for cleanliness or how much one bacteria can have a big effect on someone's health. I'm grateful I was able to see the mold looking stain in my cup or I don't know where I would be right now. Pictures are worth more than words sometimes. Like I said the food is good but I don't even know if the health inspector has been by here anytime recent. If he hasn't I would definitely recommend checking in to this place. I am not going to continue on the restrooms but definitely needs a good cleaning. We ended up going else where to eat. I would recommend the same till they started cleaning up. Unless you don't mind getting sick or enjoy some decent food in dirty places.

We had a really bad experience.. The hostess was unprofessional and seemed to go out of her way to ignore our request. We clearly told her—twice—that we preferred to sit under the fans where there were clearly empty tables. Instead, she kept trying to seat us in a different section we didn’t like. It honestly felt like she was doing it on purpose. After waiting over 30 minutes while others were being seated, we had enough and decided to leave. Her attitude was horrible and made us feel completely unwelcome. Definitely not the kind of service we expected.

Have always loved cheddars dont know what happened tonight but me and the wife decided to grab some to go by for the worst steak I have ever eaten 😭 the whole ribeye was 🗑 I tasted hers thinking maybe I got a bad cut hers was even worse for 30$ plate! Do better guys

Terrible experience , food was bland orders wrong , waitress made many many mistakes with simple things such as drinks, if I could give 0 stars I would. Definitely do not recommend

Wife and I had the meatloaf, found pieces of plastic in our food , ask for manager no apology just said it happens sometimes! I refused to pay for meal she acted like it was no big deal

I am truly disappointed with how my very first experience at a Cheddar’s went. I was seated as soon as I walked in, but after that it went downhill fast. The server was nice and polite but slow. I ordered the steak and shrimp and it came out fresh and hot, but my steak, which was ordered medium rare (warm red center) was well done. I pushed the call button for my server and had to wait almost 15 minutes before I just had to flag someone down. They apologized and remade my plate but they had previously taken my fork and the steak was over cooked again. So another 10 mins go by before I see my server again. I informed her that she never gave me a fork, or the water I asked for before I had even gotten my first plate of food. Still had to pay for the entire meal, that I didn’t get to eat. Just forced to look at it. I will not be back.
