Simply a really nice place to come with friends and have great food and the beer speaks for itself!
Easily becoming one of my favorite stops, great staff , fun menu with vegetarian an vegan options
The Chicken Pesto Flatbread and Barry St Flatbread were amazing. Service was very quick so it's a great place to have lunch when your limited on time.
Absolutely amazing, as usual. My wife and I enjoyed 2 different dark beers and dinner. Waitress was superb. Can't wait to go back
Real good second experience.... The one dude doesn't know the history of the brew or the origins of the building which was a bummer as I like the back stories. The gal today Sunday behind the bar was spot on...
It's a great place to eat and play board games with your friends. If you live in Olean, NY, stop by on Saturdays from 2-5 to play some games with us.
Cool atmosphere. Staff are friendly and attentive, awesome beers and great food selections, even plant-based options.
Great food, great drinks, great people. 10/10 place to check out and enjoy. Board game options next to tables is awesome fun!!!!
Thank you Chris for making our night! So kind and fun. Amazing service, great beer, and excellent food. 10/10
Great beers and a friendly staff. The outside area is a nice place to hang with your crew as well, with a covered area and space to wander with your beverage.
Great food and the beers were on point. The summer salad special was amazing and the staff was so friendly and attentive.
The Best Beer around! We would buy it from speedway & save a lot in North Tonawanda but now nobody has it , hope it's coming back
Live jams on Fridays, home brews, good eats 'n friendly staff. No complaints except for folks who haven't gone hear yet - what are yinz'all waiting for?!
The beer, food, music, atmosphere, and the people there are all great. The only thing missing is a water taxi to and from Allegany! Anxious to try the Strawberry Wheat.
A really good variety of drinks! We had the jumbo preztal and it was great. Service was great too. Would definitely recommend!!
Great local brewery in historic building. Value and quality in food, great apps and hot spot after SBU games.
The outdoor space is fantastic, service was great and beer/food did not disappoint! Def go check it out!
Good beers & nice atmosphere. Definitely worth a stop when they're open.
Great service with a sense of humor. Food was good and the beer was great. We had a great time!
Great place to stop for a beer and a sandwich. Friendly staff, great atmosphere and clean facilities. I love micro breweries.
Sit in or outside, Awesome place. Pool tables up stairs and got a tour while we were there. Drinks and food were good as well.
Great place, lively crowd, lots of games available, delicious food and of course the beer choices were fantastic
Food and service were excellent! Beers were great too, can’t wait to go back!
On a recent trip from Australia to US, were lucky to stumble across this brewery whilst driving up through Olean to Buffalo. Fantastic! The beer is so fresh as it is brewed onsite in an atmospheric heritage building. Enjoyed a theatrical experience with live music. Great service and excellent food. Try the tacos. We have told all our Ozzie friends to make the detour to Four Mile Brewing.
Beautiful place. Free games like pool, pong, cards, and corn hole. Vegan options are delicious. They have house soda, and great brew! It was amazing! They deserve another star.
Incredible experience. Love the vibe! I prefer IPA's so I tried the "Man on the moon" -- it was perfection at its best ;-) Thursday is taco night, but it's not just any taco night--many creative and delicious choices!
Great beer across the board. Had a pretty wide ranging sample of 4 and all were technically well brewed and tasty. Four mile does an espcially great job with hoppy beers but cream ale and brown ale were also well done. We were there for Taco Tuesdays and the food hit the spot too. Pork poker taco with Sriracha slaw and bacon ends was awesome.
The food was amazing as always. We always love when Hector is our waiter because he is friendly and a pleasure to talk to. The 4Mile is one of our favorite places to go in Olean. Great food, beer, and service.
Had a fabulous dinner there with our 3 little girls. Our waitress was wonderful! The dips for the pretzels were some of the best dips we’ve ever had! And the pizzas were awesome! Thanks!
Best brewery eats in the area. Grab some apps with the hot mustard, Polynomial IPA on draft, and enjoy. Fantastic wait staff, guys in the kitchen are killing it with consistency. Love y’all <3
Pre-game for the Bonnie's. Went for food and some beers. Chad (bartender)was very accommodating as we had to go upstairs and he had to tend to us. The food, beer and atmosphere was great!
I stopped in to see a friend from high school who happens to be the head brewer. I was very impressed with this place. They remodeled the place beautifully. The beer is brewed on site and is very good. I had the mango beer and it was very good. This is a great addition to the Olean area.
Sunday brunch with Bloody Mary bar, live mellow entertainment, board games… you cannot beat this one of a kind brewery. Laid back vibe, personable staff, diverse menu options. Just go.
Excellent food, great selection of beverages, helpful & personable staff & great atmosphere! Never feel rushed even on the busiest days. Can’t wait until the bands start!
Stopped in for a quick drink after dinner. Enjoyed the mango sour. Had a very good server and liked the feel of this place. Give it a try if you are in the Olean area.
Very nice atmosphere! Great food, and spirits. Enjoyed the outdoor band and indoor DJ - all in the same night...... Outdoor fire pit was a nice touch. Recommended!
Great beer, good food... Good VEGAN items on the menu! Great to visit a brewery thst is vegan friendly! Alexis was an excellent waitress. The band was rockin too!
I had the veggie burger and it was delicious. Fantastic service and atmosphere
Great food great beer great service everything was greater than five stars! Quite literally the only reason why I can't go back anytime soon is I'm four and a half hours away in Cleveland but now wishes he was closer to this place to have more if it's food and beer!
Fantastic atmosphere & friendly staff with tasty vegan options. Most importantly an excellent and well balanced selection of beer!
Our first time here, and everything was excellent! The staff was very attentive, the food was fantastic and the cold brews were great. We were here on a Thursday, maybe a half dozen customers. We tried the Unfurl Porter, the Chocolate Coconut Stout, the Raspberry Wheat, and the Coconut Kolsch. All excellent. For food we had the cheese steak subs and pretzel bites. Also excellent!
We had a very large group, nearly 50. We told them ahead of time so they had a dedicated sever. Great food and amazing service. 4 Mile is a MUST if in the area b
This was quite the accidental discovery. My daughter had graduated from St. Bonaventure and we were looking for a place to eat as well as looking for Lumber Yard Antiques. We arrived just in time for the Sunday Brunch Menu and the hosts were quite accommodating as we had to wait for the star of the day to arrive. As others have said, the service is simply outstanding. The food was excellent. Many had the steak and eggs, and I had the breakfast burrito. Of course drinks all around, although I had water and purchased a six pack for home. There was no need for a snack later on the drive home as this meal kept us full for the rest of the day. For a table of five, the bill was just over $100. This place is on the end of a road, so you will need to look for it, but well worth it. Too bad we live 2.5 hours away, otherwise we would be back. By the way, the Polynomial Pale Ale is excellent. Sadly, we found out that Lumber Yard was closing, happily, we got some excellent buys.
This is a large brewery in renovated building. Has a great atmosphere and the beer was good. They had a good band and wanted to eat there and listen to the band. But we weren’t dressed for the weather and got cold and left. Will go back if in the area.
We were recently in Olean on 10/23/23, visiting from Greensburg PA, and decided to stop at the brewery to celebrate our anniversary and have a beer. Although the place was closed, the owner was around and let us in without a thought. He was absolutely amazing and incredibly kind, and took time out of his day to have conversation with us. He and the place was very welcoming and the beer was fantastic. We highly recommend this place, and will definitely be back!
Always a great experience when we visit the 4 mile. My husband and I have been coming here since it opened and the food and drinks have always blown us away. We even had our couple's shower here and they were amazingly accommodating. We also love coming with our dog! They haveehave comfortable have outdoor seating and bowls of water and treats for the dogs. Great place highly recommended!
I can't say enough positive things about this tour, the amazing staff, the beer, the buildings, or the food. 100% a must visit place and experience! The building is historical and used to be Olean brewing company prior to prohibition. They redid this place so well while keeping original things. Jarrod, our tour guide, was so knowledgeable and passionate about the brewery, history, science, product, and community involvement. He gave us an amazing tour and offered to take pictures of us in the brewery. The food is unique and delicious. Just like the beer menu the food menu is limited, but extremely high quality. What they do do they do flawlessly. The inside restaurant, beer garden, land scape, and brewery itself were immaculately clean. There is a 2nd floor to rent with pool, large seating, a projector, and a 2nd bar. Everyone was friendly, fast, knowledgeable, and happy to be there. A real all genders, ages, races, incomes... welcome type place.
Delicious vegan food! I just had the plant-based burger on a pretzel bun, ordered it straight from the menu without adding or subtracting anything, and it was DIVINE. As a vegan, I often get relegated to salad for dinner in most restaurants, so it was a real treat to have a hearty, filling meal that was designed to taste great. Love that Four Mile is making the effort to accommodate gluten free options, too, and you don't feel like you're missing out. Too often, vegan and GF options are sparse on menus. Typically an afterthought. Not here! Fabulous food, great outdoor seating area with live music, great service. Fantastic in-house beer. Of course, my meat-eating dinner companions were delighted by their own meals, especially the taco flatbread. Yum! I will be eating here again, and recommend it highly to anyone who is a foodie. :)
The Raspberry Wheat is smooth, flavorful, and delicious! I tried a sample of the Coconut Kolsch, and that was just as good. Husband loved the Unfurled Porter and the Chocolate Coconut Stout.we had the loaded pretzel bites. The queso was amazing! Service was exemplary. Wish I lived closer!
We hosted our rehearsal dinner here before our wedding and it was exactly what we were looking for in terms of a casual and fun location with great food and drinks. We had the entire second floor to ourselves for the rehearsal which was great. The Raspberry Wheat has always been a personal favorite of mine and our guests loved it as well. We did a taco bar for our dinner and it was great. Serving sizes are large and our guests couldn't get enough of the thai chicken tacos. We also told guests not in the wedding party to come downstairs so we could meet them when our scheduled event was over. The outdoor area was perfect for other guests and there was even a great band (Darkwater Duo) which was a ton of fun. Guests got to play cornhole and enjoy live music while we geared up for our wedding. Great food, Great atmosphere, great service. Thanks, Four Mile!
Great place for great beer. Very friendly staff. Pork Pork tacos are very good, and this comes from a person that smokes out 100+ lbs of pork shoulders every year in my smoker. This place is a definite must if you are here on business and want a great atmosphere, great beer and great food.
Excellent brews and foods. I had a brunch huevos rancheros burrito and my partner had a bbq jackfruit flatbread which both were absolutely delicious, and all the beer was great! A super cool space that's worth checking out.
Excellent food, excellent service. Ice cold beer. This place is a must visit. I drove an hour to dine here and will definitely go again it was that good of a place. Their Micro Brew beer is very good and even have a 4 brew sampler. Prices are very reasonable. Highly recommended.
Excellent brew pub full of character and a long history. Super friendly and helpful staff. Of course there is fantastic food and delicious beers.
Great beer, great atmosphere, great food, and great staff. What more could you want? This is an IPA forward brewery with plenty of other options as well. They have seasonal beers and limited releases so the drink menu varies. Food is fantastic with a decent sized menu that changes with the seasons. In the warmer weather you can enjoy the outside beer garden with a covered pavilion, bocce ball courts, and bean bag toss, along with a firepit. There is live music at least one night a week and other events scheduled throughout the year. They now have an upstairs banquet/overflow area that is pretty awesome. Book your events now! If you are anywhere close, this is where you need to be.
Cool old building that used to be a brewery back in the day. Friendly staff with good knowledge of beer. Very diverse menu and the food was fantastic. Last but not least, the beer varieties were second to none. Only open on Thursday through Sunday, but visit this place soon.
Great beer. The brewer certainly knows what he's doing. Tried a flight of four beers and each was excellent on their own - Pre- Prohibition, Black IPA, Pale Ale and Allegheny IPA. Personal favorite was the Black IPA. The staff was friendly, service was great, the vibe of the place is very positive. If you love great beer, it is worth stopping in. (I did not have any food there, so no review on the menu). I can't wait until they start making cans or bottles so I can take some home.
The only place in town with a vegan section on the menu! The beer is amazing. My favorite is Unfurl. The BBQ Jackfruit Sammich is to die for! Service and atmosphere are top notch too! Enjoy a band or sit around the gorgeous fire pit in the beer garden. Great choice for a night out!
We are visiting all the way from Florida visiting my 99 year old grandparents and decided to stop in and visit 4 mile brewery.. we walked in and the manager liberty greeted us right away!! She then offered to give us a little tour of the brewery. My kids loved it!! Then we sat down, the kids got sodas and we ordered 2 flights, the bartender Dominick was soooo amazing and helpful!! The food was amazing. These two made us feel at home and we will continue to come back!! Thank you for making our experience amazing!!!!!
I recently held a private birthday party at Four Mile Brewing. From start to finish, they were great to plan and work with. The food was phenomenal! The staff was amazing and very attentive! Shout out to Nick, Liberty, Olivia, Jared and the entire staff!! I will definitely think of Four Mile first the next time I need a venue for a private event – you should, too. Highly recommended!!
This review has been edited from two stars to five stars. I Went for the Thomas Nicholas show! Absolutely amazing! In the original review I had some complaints about the staff. The promoter of the show,Andrew, reached out to me about the original review. He and his wife also run the Trivia, which is also great. Andrew apologized for the service and explained he would bring it up to the manager or owner. He assured me things would be corrected in the future. He was willing to just talk and listen for over 30 minutes. I felt he actually listened to my concerns and cared. He also said they have some more events they are hoping on bringing into town.Andrew also told me that Four Mile Brewing will start having local bands again. That is something my husband and I miss. I told him that we need more events like Thomas Ian Nicholas’ or even have him back. He said he’s working on some. That being said I agreed to change my review.
Neat place to see. Has outdoor, indoor and upstairs seating. The best thing by far was the food. The head cook, Libby is great. She is always moving and if she is not cooking, she is cleaning the kitchen. I was very impressed. I highly recommend her hand made pierogis! Thanks Libby and all of the staff.
This is such a cool place! Nice atmosphere, friendly people, and great food. Will definitely be back. The Beer Garten looks so fun. I’ll have to bring the kids next time. They will love it. Also love the comfy lounge upstairs for watching a good football game or relaxing with friends.
I wish I could come here every Thursday for tacos and beer. I got a flight and three tacos: korean bbq, thai, and dragonfruit (the dragonfruit one was vegan friendly). I was pleasantly surprised that they served cider and cocktails as well! The tacos were amazing and the beer was even better. I will definitely return!
Good selection of beers, great atmosphere and good food. Worth the visit! I'll be back!
Great atmosphere to have a drink with some delicious apps. Smaller beer selection with a focus on IPA's.
Beer good ! Took forever on food ! 45 minutes on food . They had wedding group . Should have been more prepared.
Wide selection of IPAs, various libations for non-beer drinkers, and an enticingly unique gastro pub menu. All reasonably priced.
I like the House Manager, and a lot of friends make this place special. It's a historic Brew House, and they serve a pre-prohibition Brew too. A perfect spot in old Little Chicago. They are always working to offer more and better too- a great outdoor patio, art, historic info, live music, and good food. A gem in Olean.
Great place to hang out on a weekend night with friends. Yummy pretzels!! Good beers. They host various art (Tri county arts council) related events (e.g, brushes and brews on some Fridays - great thing to do with your girlfriends) and trivia night (Sunday evenings). Give it a try - for some fun in lil Olean!
Food, service and beer would get it a 3, but the open area in the back and atmosphere brings it to a 4. Ipa was good, other beers were ok. Great place to go with kids, but would try someplace else if it was just me and my wife
I've had to stay in Olean a couple of times now and this place has been the best for a good beer and pretty good food. Only issue is that service is a bit slow. On a plus, everyone there seems very friendly.
A tucked away brewery with exposed brick, plenty of space, and a good amount of menu choices for vegetarians. The place was packed when we stopped in for lunch the day before Christmas Eve, but the wait staff was on top of things. The beer choices didn’t quite do it for me but that’s just a matter of taste. I recommend it, and the next time we’re in Olean we’ll stop in.
Second time I've been there, very easy to find. The flat bread pizza was excellent and the beers we tried were very good. Watching the Bills game there with a crowd was a lot of fun too.
My first time at Four Mile was a good experience. I went on Taco Thursday when they had many delicious and unique taco options. I tried Thai chicken, pork BBQ, and not so chick'n.. I liked the BBQ the best 🤤 they had many brews on tap but I don't drink beer so I stuck with a Steampunk Cider which was excellent. Service was friendly. The atmosphere was chill. I would visit again.
Nice atmosphere and FANTASTIC customer service. Seriously...some of the best service I've had in a long time. Beer is tasty and food is pretty standard, but beer/food opinions are subjective. Looking forward to trying out other food next time I'm in town. I'd recommend trying this place out, especially their darker beers. Keep up the good work!!
Ok brewery, decent beer & average service. Food needs a big improvement $12 for a little bit of lunch meat in between some bread & bag o chips, that's your only option.
Four stars because building and atmosphere was very neat, and beer was good. 1 star for our waitress. Waited 15 minutes for her to take our order and still didn't show...was not busy. My wife gave our order to another waitress just so we could get it in.
Unfortunately, our female server did not seem to want to be there waiting on tables. Every action was a chore. Greeted by a nonchalant, “Sit wherever you want.” When she eventually approached the table, she simple said, “We have no flatbreads or pretzels tonight.” Not even a hello. That was her attitude at every contact. It was highly unwelcoming, unfriendly and one move short of an eye roll. This kind of thing is such a buzz kill when you’ve gone out to eat and have a nice time with your family. . Luckily, when we told her we were ready to order, another man stepped in and took our order; he was completely pleasant. Not sure what was happening, but restaurants should keep in mind that everyone on the front line needs to be friendly and represent the business. The beer and food was quite good. Cuban was too bready; would be better with a brioche or something lighter instead of a too-thick sub roll. I would go back if I felt confident in the service.
Another city, another brew pub. Don't order from the giant chalk board, they're not going to have them all available. During our visit the shank and anniversary IPA were missing in action. Now the answer will be "due to our increased demand some libations will not be available". Maybe brew more or erase the sold out portion of the chalk board or the wait staff can tell you before you order. So pretty is the chalk board, but it lied to me. Wine= expensive for the amount poured. Why go to a brew pub and order wine? I can't control the guests I came with. Mango Wheat and Allegheny IPA were both as expected, wheaty and IPA'y. Food is a nice surprise. Pot stickers, only 4. Sliders were good. Chicken caesar salad needed salt, please also add seasoning to the chicken. Four mile board plate was a nice surprise.
Seems nice service was very poor was seated for 15 minutes, 3 waitress walked by multiple times without acknowledging we were there. Served two other tables that came in after us. We left without ever being served. Went to Union whiskey. Went back again 7/22 and service was still terrible, ordered drinks waited 20 minutes no drinks. I went to the bar and got them. The place was empty. I don't understand what the issue is with this place.
I would never have an event here!!! We booked our rehearsal dinner with them in April 23 for December 2023. We gave them the 100 deposit all the girl told us was that we should get in contact with her about a month before our event with our food order. I reached out got no response. I called four mile they gave me the name of the new event coordinator. He also did not answer me leaving me no choice but to have my rehearsal dinner somewhere else and with such short notice we ended up having to do it catered at our home. I finally got someone to answer me via email. They said I could pick up my $100 deposit that week. I did not see the email it was not there when I went to pick it up and after emailing them again they did not answer! Please find somewhere else for your events!
Stopped here after visiting rock city park. Waited 15 mins for a beer and couldn’t get served. Dirty glasses all over the bar and it smelled like a dive bar with stale beer. When the bartender did finally come in he ignored us and just rang in cash at the register. We left and Doubt we will be back.
