Great spanish food . Great home style eating . You gotta try the green sauce with the chicken and you gotta have there sangria. Amazing!!!!!!

The food here is amazing super underrated I’ve been coming here since I was like 12 when they were located on 78th street and 101st. I’ve had literally everything on the menu. I’d say this spot is better then Pio Pio, they are over rated. I’m actually Peruvian so they food is just as good as my grandmothers. I’ve ate at all the locations QB and NB, this one is still my favorite. I’d recommend the Papa la Huancaina or Ceviche sometimes the Anticuchos (when I’m craving meat) AMAZING as an appetizer & my top main course has to be the Lomo Saltado, tallarín Verde con corvina & the Jalea CHEIFS KISSS oh and the Sangria will get you lit Just saying and the rotisserie chicken alone is yummy I’ll add pics soon

My friends & I stopped here for lunch, it was my 1st time & the food was delicious, better then Pio Pio. We had the dinner for 2, which was enough for 3 of us, with a side of special fried rice, the special rice is an acquired taste we didn't like it, but everything else was delicious. Nice staff, clean I'm taking 4 my family here tonight for dinner.

I've never actually ate at the location but I've had food catered for numerous parties and they have never let me down. There rice chicken chofan and lomo salteado are 2 of my favorites. If Latin food is tour thing give this place a try. You wont regret it.

Food was yummy....got my order of chicken, rice, Maduros, salchipapas and a salad to go. Food was packed nicely. The server was a bit rude but I was taking my food to go.so i didn't give it much thought.

I’ve recommended family and friends to dine here and they haven’t been disappointed. The best Peruvian restaurant in town, I moved out of the city and every time I go back to NYC I dine here. The only bad thing is that sometimes the servers are great and sometimes they’re not so good.

Good here is amazing ! Definitely a family Atmosphere. I had Pork chops and rotisserie chicken. I didn’t too favor the chicken but the pork chops were a 10/10 . Very crispy and juicy . The sangria was delicious as well. I recommend for a quick bite a family sit down.

Delicious food since it's other location nearby. Nice interior decor as well so good for family dinners or just for a small plate when hungry. I always choose combo #3, one of three that comes with enough food for around 5 people served with rice, beans, salad, chicken, and fried plantains. Love it and paella is a must for seafood lovers as well! Good pricing and good food!

It's awesome when you stay and eat there,but when you order it as a TAKEOUT they will make sure they give you the oldest chicken they have sitting there, as it has happened to all my family members since they were back in old location, reason for complain now is because my wife specifically said "please make sure the freshest chicken please" and guess what happens , y'all can put 2&2 together, great place if u sit and eat 6 stars if possible BUT

They offer variety of Peruvian cuisine, from appetizers to drinks. All dishes we ordered weren't disappointing, sauces were at the right blend, chicken and mussels are a must try! Fair price, patient and friendly staffs are worth for tips. Parking might not be easy since the restaurant is at the junction.

I ordered a family combo- chicken, rice, beans, sweet plaintians, and salchi papa's. Everything was flavorful. I love thier green spicy sauce. I would give this place a 5 but the chicken was too small. It tasted great though. 👍🏼

I eat here often with my family and friends the food is very good, the portions are very big and the price is OK. Rarely they have gotten an order wrong Or miscooked an order of mind but it has happened. And last but not least the atmosphere is good for a small restaurant.

Very good option for authentic Peruvian food and to top it off, it's halal which basically tells you they are using better quality meat. There is two reasons they are getting a four star. First is that the place is small, and even if the restaurant is empty, you feel clustered mostly because of the table and chair, the size and how they are set up. Second reason was I think my food was a little underseasoned.

So I went here for my Birthday because I knew the food wouldn’t disappoint me. Everyone enjoyed their food there was no complaints. Chaufa rice beats it every time. My only complain was the music was very loud and I unfortunately had a lousy and inattentive waiter.

It was such a great restaurant, I would love to come here again.

The food is always fresh and very yummy. I've had the chicken and sweet plantain's,y go to. My date had the skirt steak and rice&shrimp. They said it was still good and tasty almost two days later

I have been here a few times now: the food is delicious but the service leaves something to be desired. They don’t want to work and/ or they don’t want to serve me.

The food was nice, the seafood fried rice was delicious. The service needs improvement but food not bad.

The food is hit or miss most of the time. now they’re barely giving any beans and the rice was all sticky and overcooked.

The food is delicious, the service not so much, specifically when you order for pick up. Sometimes a guy answer the phone and he is ALWAYS so rude. The lady that answers the phone as Well is better. They say pick 20- 25 min, and it always take at least 45min

We first walked in and everybody stared but did not even greet us. We had to walk to them and said hi table for # and the guy just pointed at a table. We had a female server and she didn’t look happy to service us but she wasn’t rude. She only served us our drinks and I think she must have gave up because we ended up getting a different waiter? The place is empty by the way, no one came by to ask if the food was fine or if we needed anything else. We finished and waited for someone to come over and ask if we’re all set for the check but instead they’re in the back taking selfies and on their phones. They could at least look up and see if their customers look like they’re done eating or need anything. Overall the service needs to get better and the food was alright.

I've been a customer since they first opened and use to be on 80th st and while they've done good for themselves and upgraded to their better and current location unfortunately their PRICES have upgraded A LOT also. They're food and portion size is very good, but it's become very pricey. I can get the same Peruvian food/Latin w/ the same portion for way cheaper elsewhere in the neighborhood.

Great food as always....service was horrible as of my last few visits.... waitresses dont understand english..... extremely slow with service when i requested water..extra green sauce etc....i had my leftovers packed up to go home and ended up with someone else food.

I’ve been coming here for years and nothing changes as far as their customer service. Waitresses very unfriendly, you have to ask for everything from water to napkins etc.. I don’t understand why the owner doesn’t train her staff to be more friendly and attentive towards their customers. The food is good but that’s it. If it weren’t for the food I would never go back to this place. Customer service is atrocious!!!

Always doing take out because food here is good….. But went to dine in tonight and the waitresses who work there are so rude - they will choose whether or not to be nice to certain tables. It made my dining experience so uncomfortable! They purposely avoided our table and we were only two people! Plenty of tables came after us and they were helped before we were.. because we were barely helped we were the last to leave - they sat around at tables and by the register talking to each other completely ignoring us waiting for our check. Still will takeout….. but never dining there ever again !

Very but very disappointed with this place Last Friday 13th 2018 me and some friends went to have a nice time over there my friends arrived 1st and they were treated very bad by this so called waitress she’s the tall one When my cousins arrived we called over for menus male waitress ignore us totally, female waitress the tall one again with this weird mood come over and she gave this bad attitude and made this face like she was very upset that more people arrived at the table we were seating and the way she gave the menus We were very upset and left 6 dollars and left a note saying “I don’t like the face you made” Either she better start treating people with respect or don’t come to work at all cause last time I check my account she didn’t pay the $135 dollars from the food we order Very bad service

Horrible service, I didn't even get to taste the food but the server was very rude, I requested to just get chicken breast and he replied with I don't have anymore the cook will just give you w/e part because it's a combo, why lie? You didn't even check, how can I not request what part of the chicken I want? I'm the one consuming it and paying for it. I ended up just walking out, I'll stick to going to pio pio they never have a problem with giving me just the breast and their food is great.

The anticucho was well made and tasty. The ceviches you cant tell most of the times is delicious and fresh. Now i agree with the service. Most of these waitress dont care about giving a good service. They are more concern chatting with their coworkers

Bad bad, I'm Peruvian and I order twice pollo a la brasa(under cook, no flavor) El arroyo con mariscos = arroz con cubito Maggie y calamari hard, shimp unclean, the worse Peruvian restaurant and I leave 1 block from there,shame to the owners, serving low quality Peruvian food

my experience with pollos Inca was a little bad starting with customer service. as seen on other posts waiters are very unfriendly and inprofesional- you as waiter you never tell the customer don't come back after arguing about the plate you ordered. we argued about the Anticucho - anticucho was from the day before it was reheated so if you are getting anticucho make sure is fresh and not reheated. restaurant staff needs training.

I wish no star was an option. This food is terrible especially for a Monday. Chicken was dry and bland, rice was old and hard, beans taste sour. Lets not forget the rude witness at the bar.

So I moved to Florida almost a year ago and couldn't wait to visit New York for the food. So today I visited my favorite place to eat only to discover it was sold. I didn't see the usual people working there, so I was worried. I sit down and looked at the menu, and it says "Peruvian Restaurant", and next to that says "Halal". I ask the waitress for a delicious Sangria, but now they don't serve it. No pork dishes either which is part of Peruvian qusine.Tasted the chicken and green sauce, and it tasted completely different. The recipe is off, way off. Or it tasted the same as every other mediocre Peruvian restaurant you wouldn't want to go to. Nice remodeling but I'm not there for the decor. This place is NO LONGER a Peruvian restaurant. It is not a Hispanic restaurant. They just have Spanish people working there. This place is a Halal restaurant, and a mediocre one at that. It's not geared towards Hispanics no matter how many Spanish people they hire. So I'm going back to Pio Pio until I find something better.

The waitress was very unpleasant, she literally just came up to the table and said "what is your order" we waited for about 20 minutes before she even got to our table and it was not even packed. The guy that is there was also very unpleasant, I liked the food but the service sucks

Worst place ever!! Called and placed an order and the women told me 30 min wait. I waited 40 mins for them to tell me that they dont have any more chicken and that I needed to wait an addition 20 mins. Unacceptable. Unfortunately they lost my business.

The service was TERRIBLE, the waitress that attended us was very rude, didnt grab her name because she didnt introduce herself (she was tall with a long braid down her back). The knives were dirty and she even rolled her eyes when I asked her for more sauce. I ordered 3 "lomos saltados" (we were a group of 7) and they served it with more onions than meat along with rice and French fries, my mom was very confused as to why would serve rice with French fries instead of an option of salad... when we asked to take it back they refused and she said I didnt ask her what side I wanted but shes supposed to let me know the options... that's her job, spoke to a man and he said the plates were made already and there was nothing that could be done... nonetheless we obviously didnt eat the soggy French fries. Would not recommend this place at all.

The manager was extremely rude. I have a small service dog, and after ordering and starting to eat, the manager came to my table and told me I could not have a dog in the restaurant. I explained that it was a service dog and that I had all the necessary documentation. Instead of asking to see it, she stated that a small dog is not considered a service dog and that I should have informed her before entering. I even unlocked my phone to show her the documents, but she simply turned around and walked away, leaving me speaking to no one. It is important to mention that my dog is an 8-pound Yorkie who stays quietly inside her bag, and the restaurant was completely empty — there was literally only me and my three friends there. To make matters worse, she also argued with the kind waitress simply because the waitress had allowed us in. This was an unnecessary and disrespectful situation that should never have happened, especially towards a customer with a legitimate service animal.

We live right around the corner and have been going there for years since they opened. We are their original customers. But guess what? We will think twice before going there now since the last time we went in April 2025. We never dined in there, only takeout pick up. The last and final pickup there, we notice they added a 15% without our consent on our credit card bill. That’s unacceptable. Even if the food is divine and considered on par with nectar of the gods, an establishment should not auto charge tip without customer consent. We will be going to other restaurants in the neighborhood now. They are not the only restaurant on that block.

Extremely disappointed with the customer service, management, and hygiene at this location. I’ve been eating at this chain since I was a kid, and at this specific location for years. I used to live a block away and would eat here three times a week. More recently, I had been a regular every Tuesday evening. But after how I was treated on March 23, 2025, I will not be returning. At the end of my meal that day, I noticed a service/gratuity charge on my bill. From my own experience working in the service industry, I know this is typically reserved for large parties or bills over a certain amount. When I asked the server if this was a new policy applied to all tables, she said yes. Even though I hadn’t been informed beforehand, I didn’t argue — the service charge was $6, and I was planning to tip $5 anyway. Then she explained it was added because during my previous visit on March 11, I tipped 50¢. Here’s the context: that visit was awful. My food took over an hour with no explanation, my order came out wrong, and another table-who also ordered chicken and arrived after us-got their food first. The server never communicated or acknowledged the delay. My partner’s food also took a while but came out before mine, so we ended up eating separately. By the time my corrected plate arrived, my partner was already done. I had lost my appetite and just packed it to go. Instead of asking about that experience or showing any interest in what led to the low tip, the manager instructed the servers to automatically add gratuity on my next visit. TIPPING IS OPTIONAL-it’s based on the quality of service received, not a guaranteed payment. Retaliating with a forced service charge because of a previous tip is unprofessional, petty, and honestly a joke. What’s worse is that this wasn’t an isolated incident. Over the years, there’s been a consistent pattern of mistakes — missing items in deliveries, incorrect orders, and once I had to wait an extra 15 minutes for a takeout order because a server gave the tostones from my meal to another customer. No apology, just more waiting. And on top of all that, the hygiene is unacceptable. I’ve personally seen both servers and kitchen staff enter the restroom still wearing their aprons — completely unsanitary and gross. If this happens in front of customers, I can only imagine what happens behind closed doors. This place has gone downhill. The food can be decent, but it’s not worth the repeated headaches, unprofessional service, or lack of cleanliness. I recommend Inca Paisa or A Lo Perucho instead.

Great food usually but the avocado on the salad is NOT fresh. Also, the prices on their website ARE NOT what they are charging. We ordered a combo for pick up today Sunday 4/2 and when the person said the total, it was much higher and their excuse is that it’s reflected in the printed menu. We pointed out we don’t have printed menus and go by the website which is what a lot of people look up before ordering. They need to update the prices all around and provide fresher ingredients. This salad was not well made. Not inclined to order from here anymore.

The causa was probably the worst I’ve ever eaten in my entire life the fact that it shaped as a heart was even more infuriating I took a bite and there was corn green beans and baby carrots……..Whoever made that needs to have their Peruvian citizenship revoked and sent directly to jail….the only good thing was the inka cola..if you want to start a fight with your significant other take them there and order them the causa.. thanks for the worst food experience I’ve ever had in my entire life… sincerely, a disgruntled Peruvian

I was excited to try something new last week and ended up choosing this restaurant. The reviews didn't lie, this place does get packed. I entered the place around 7pm with only two tables empty. My sister and I walk up to the bar and ask if there was seating available and the woman replied no to come back later. Again, we clearly see two tables open so we asked her again and point to the tables. She says we can sit in the back because the table in the front is too big for two and continues working. This should have been a sign for me to walk away but we decided to stay. (FYI another two guest arrive and with no questions ask they were seated in the table "too big for two"). I was hoping the gentleman who came over to clean our table and give us menus would be our server but the woman who told us there was no seating was our waitress. Though the restuarant is crowded I could understand the wait time but the waitress didn't move from behind the bar for such a long time even the customers who sat next to us already had drinks and their order taken by the gentleman who gave us menus. Let me just fast forward to the fact that I ordered a second glass of water and 20 minutes pass with no refill. I'm not even sure where the waitress was. Not to mention they were suppose to bring us something to the table as an appetizer and being that she forgot another table whose been there longer than us, she gave it to them. In my opinion the food taste good however, we were served chicken with the head still on it. I did not order the chicken so I did not notice until we took the chicken home and i seen a wing. Then the neck. Then I picked up the head. I did not take a picture of the chicken after I discovered it because I immediately threw it away but you can see it on the plate in the restaurant of the picture attached. NEVER AGAIN.
